I brought in 3 items, 2/3 times weren't to the right length. One leg was slightly longer then the other and was the case with the other pair of pants. I went back to ask him to alter it again and he just got really defensive and told me that I'm wrong because he is a professional. I was taken aback because he was raised his voice at me the whole time and by the end he wasn't willing to help. He told me never to come back but it's not like ill ever go back to that place. It doesn't matter if he is right, I paid for a service which he didn't even perform correctly and he was very rude. Worst tailor ever.

I got a bridesmaid dress shortened here and the hem was extremely crooked and loose (it actually came out at the wedding). The tailor claimed it was the best anyone could do, but all of the other bridesmaids had perfectly straight hems from other tailors!

Habib is very experienced and very reliable. He has tapered 5 pairs of jeans for me and all have come out exactly how I asked. He is knowledgeable on many styles and gives recommendations throughout the process if I am ever unsure. If anything is wrong, he gladly takes my stuff back to adjust them to my liking. He also completed my pants in under a week on very short notice because I needed them for vacation, no questions asked! Great tailor.

I recently got promoted at the office, which meant I needed to suit up a few days a week. I purchased 6 suits off the rack but of course they never fit me perfectly except 1 which only needed minor amendments. I took them to Unique Tailors and had them alter all of them for me, I was asked to come in for 2 separate fittings in between because of the type of changes I wanted done so I was pleased that they took the time to ensure a great end result. After completely transforming my suit and giving me the look I desired which made me appear slimmer and taller (tricks up my sleeve) I was expecting I hefty price tag but I was willing to pay because I was driven by my emotion of my new job. I was surprised to see how much I only had to pay, their prices I find are very reasonable for the quality of their craft. I love their work, quality and you can tell by the stitching. They basically turned my suits into made-to-measure pieces. I have definitely found my tailor shop!

Habib has done dozens of pieces for me, and I am very happy with each one. He never hesitates to ask if anything needs to be changes after he has altered a piece. In fact, several times I have asked for small changes after his first alteration (more for my own comfort, it still looked great) and he hasn't even charged me. All I can say is, Habib wants his customers to be 100% satisfied with the work that he does. It all comes down to communicating what you want. FYI Habib is at this location for alterations on Tuesday and Friday. Other days he is at his location on Harbord. Pieces completed for me: 1 full suit 1 blazer 7 dress shirts 3 pairs of pants 3 pairs of shorts

Took a shirt in and it came back with a weird green chemical stain on it. They said to take my business elsewhere when I asked them about it. Seems to be a running theme. I don't really care if you are polite if you can do a job, but they are not really that great at either.

I used to work next door - and started with drycleaning. Then, as I decided to alter and tailor some clothing, I gave this lovely new business a shot. Since then (6+ years ago), they are my go to for tailoring shirts, pants, jeans, you name it. An expert for MANY years, Habib had Harry Rosen training, and decided to do his own thing. Don't depend on them operating during the hours of operation they publicly display. Went to pick-up a suit I needed at 6pm (after work) on a Tuesday (supposed to be open until 7:00pm) and there was a note on the door saying "will be back at 3:30PM". Luckily I'd given myself a couple of extra days and didn't need it the next morning. The hours (not open until 11am) are limited enough as is.

They say you learn everything you need to know about a business by how they respond to a customer issue and I must say I'm very disappointed with that I now know about this cleaner. After moving to the area months ago I began using this affordable cleaner and all was well for a while. Unfortunately, when my new white silk blouse and husbands pants can back to me with black marks on them the older gentleman (I assume the owner) actually accused me of marking the clothes and trying to put one over on him by asking for the problem could be corrected. Not only was the lack of any apology unexpected but, I when I insisted the error be corrected he reluctantly said he'd send them back for re-cleaning but I should not to expect anything different - UNBELIEVABLE! The final straw was his response to my assertion that he should stand up for his customers by addressing the issue with his vendor. I was told that if I didn't like it I should take by businesses elsewhere. Well, that's just what I've done ! I now know everything I need to about this business. Signed, Your neighbor. P.S. I provided a two star rating because until this interaction occurred I had no problems with the quality of the cleaning.
