I definitely recommend this place for alterations, though I have not been here for dry cleaning. I had a long cardigan that I needed to alter, and trust me, I need to alter most things. But my concern was it wouldn't look as good once altered, the folded 4"seam would be exposed, etc. I had obviously gone to other places for alteration suggestions where it cost close to a quarter of the price of the cardigan, or they straight out turned me down as they said they couldn't do what I wanted because it was knit. The seamstress here had her own idea (albeit, might not have been the best I heard, but she wasn't going to charge me $100 to shorten a cardigan...no, I'm not kidding, I got this at a highly rated alteration place not far from here), and assured me she was able to minimize the hem as it could be exposed, and was quite confident about it. It still wasn't cheap, but it wasn't $100! Beware, my neighbours, don't get duped by those around here who will charge an arm and a leg because they see your brand and think they can charge more. If it's complicated, sure, but if they are shortening something and literally might take them 20 min max, you shouldn't be paying them like you would a professional. Give Sun King at least a consult and a try! Happy to have found them.

Insane job on my coats! Went in half expecting that nothing could be done for one of them (bike grease from 6 months ago) and they managed to get it out. Miracle workers here! If you have any stains you're having trouble with, stop trying, and go here. They'll get the job done!

This place is amazing. I needed to get my husband wedding suit cleaned, and i was scared to drop it off just at any dry cleaning company since his suit was over $2000. From the moment that i dropped of the suit i was satisfied with the customer service, and a fast turn around. I picked up the suit this past Monday, and the quality of the service is outstanding, and the price very affordable. This place will get all my clothing needs for the future, and i will recommend it for my family and friends.

Terrible customer service. I tried to ask them about a purse I brought in. They lost my order and finally after 3 months had found it. They were unable to clean it and, in fact, destroyed the purse. What they offered in return was ridiculous. They offered to "fix" it by sewing more leather into the mostly fabric purse and telling me it would make a unique design. When I refused and asked for a store credit, they offered $25 plus my $50 refund. I would not recommend them.

As a vintage couture dealer, I owe so much to the cleaners to bring the garment to its full potential. I had been bringing my prestigious pieces to Sun King for years with only occasional faults. One time a cotton dress came back split down the bust - without being notified of the damage. Another time a jacket was pressed with a fold in the lapel crease. Another time the colours bled in a black and white garment. But nothing has upset me more than Sun King loosing the tag of an early, numbered Issey Miyake. The dress came back pressed beautifully with the water marks gone - but so too went the proof of what it was. This was the holy grail of vintage finds. Sadly it has been rendered from a museum-worthy priceless piece to just another dress. The plant manager promised me he did everything in his power to locate the label, (which, by the way, I had stitched down for extra security in preparation for the cleaners... makes me feel someone stole it at the plant...) but after months of calling, no tag and no compensation. I asked merely for a couple of courtesy free cleanings but was not granted even that. It is one thing to say you care about your loyal customers, and another thing to act upon it. I've never left a bad review before, but I feel compelled to tell my story. I will be going elsewhere from now on.

I brought my heavily soiled Parajumper here. It’s the cream coloured one so my blue jeans bled some dye on the inside liner. It’s safe to say that they got it all out and made it look new again. I’m so pleased with the service. Great people. Solid work. Keep it up!

Exceptional service. Some people may see Drycleaning as a simple service but this organization has given some thought to how they exceed expectations. Small touches like remembering your name when you return to the store and overdelivering if an item is delayed are not uncommon. Very happy to have a Sun King in my area. By all means, bring your clothes here if you like moth larvae, vicious harridans as clerks, horrible sewing/cleaning, and criminal overpricing. Further, should you wish to complain about your abusive treatment, please enjoy the derelict inattention of the speedy, Customer Is Always Wrong 6-store manager. The filthy alcoholics in the bus shelter outside 24/7 provide a nice analogue and refreshing decency. A SHOCKING HELL-HOLE, which audaciously charges twice what any decent DC charges. When I left, so did my moth problem. Run, don't walk the goddamn "steps from Brock Ave!" its machine faux-cheerily asserts.

Went to four drycleaners and this was the only one that was able to shorten two pencil shirts (mid-calf length), and bring up the back slit after shortened. I docked one star because the white pencil skirt came back with dirt marks. They took the skirt back no problem for complimentary cleaning. I've used this drycleaner one other time to shorten the sleeves (with zippers) of my Mackage leather jacket, and they did a fantastic job. My experience with the customer service has been really great, the staff are always so friendly. And tackling alterations other drycleaners wont do is a huge plus!

Steve is the best. Professional service, impeccable quality and genuine people. More than satisfied with the cleaning and care. They are easy to access and I love how he didn't print a ticket but rather emailed me when it was ready to pick-up. One less paper product and they take hangers back of course. Pointlessly spent money trying to get bike grease out of a dress. Brought it in with little hopes that they could do anything about it, told them that I was bringing the dress in specifically to get the grease out. The attendant said they can’t guarantee getting stains out but she was fairly sure they would. When I picked it up, it looked exactly the same and the same attendants response was “yeah, it’s grease, that stuff doesn’t come out” and proceeded to charge me $20! So she lied just to get my service, definitely not coming back here again.

My favourite thing about walking into Sun King Cleaners is their big smile and kind service. I recently brought in a very ugly Christmas sweater for a clean and they were able to accommodate my rush so I could rock the sweater a day later at my ugly Christmas sweater party. Big love and gratitude.

A very disappointing experience! In the past, I've been pleased with Sun King's cleaning, and with their service. But I just picked-up my casual jacket, after its sleeves were shortened. The total: $52 + tax. For comparison, a quick search reveals that Gibson's Cleaners charges $40, NLefashion charges $45, North York's Premium Dry Cleaners charge $40, etc. When I complained, the counter-person did not even acknowledge the issue. She offered no explanation, no reduction, nothing at all. There was nothing "cheery" about her service. Her lack of service is in sharp contrast to the great service I've received on other occasions at Sun King. And the high price for the alteration speaks for itself. Ugh!

The Queen west location successfully removed the red wine from my sofa cushion, but shrunk the cover so badly that it no longer fits any part of my sofa. I am currently waiting to see what, if any, action these folk will take in order to fix their error and placate my anger. Stay tuned.

WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!! RETURNED CANADA GOOSE JACKET MISSING THE FUR!! This doesn't even deserve one star. I took my Canada Goose Jacket in for cleaning with fur attached and it was returned WITHOUT THE FUR on the hood. The owner Stephen refused to rectify the situation and tried to claim I didn't submit it with the fur. After a lengthy month long dispute and patience while he "looked" for the fur, several phone calls and trips to the cleaners for follow-up he said there was nothing he could do. The final encounter he tried to offer up a ratty, nasty looking FAKE fur trim to make up for it. After I told him that was unacceptable and his ongoing denial that I never submitted the jacket with the fur in the first place, I asked him to review his security camera footage. He said he already did, blatantly lying to my face, because if he had in fact done this - he would have SEEN THE FUR on the jacket. I asked him to replace the fur or reimburse me for the full cost of cleaning (approx $100.00) and he refused and said "he couldn't do that". That is insane - you lost the fur. For the wellbeing of your business you should take a course on customer service. Reading these other reviews, I am surprised this place is still in business. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. IF YOU VALUE YOUR ITEMS - DO NOT BRING THEM HERE!

I have a large down-filled, fur trim parka that was in desperate need of a thorough cleaning. The sort where the fur can't be removed. On top of that, I was only in Toronto for a few weeks before heading back to Cold Lake, AB (spoiler alert: it's cold) and I needed someone who would take good care of my coat and get it to me on time. Sun King Cleaners on Jane did that for me. Thank you Steve and Monica.

I thought the prices were reasonable, and trust me, the guy at the store is super friendly and helpful! Give these guys a try if you're in the area, definitely worth it, I wish I gave them a chance earlier instead of wasting money elsewhere...

January 8, 2018 l asked Steve the Operating Manager in Sun King Cleaners at Jane and Annette to help me deal with a broken two way zipper on a Canada Goose jacket. Steve tried the zipper multiple times, got a tool and in two seconds fixed the problem FREE. I SAVED $85.00! One day the zipper will be unfixable, and l will go back. Meanwhile l will take all my dry cleaning to him and tell all my friends this lovely honest story. Thank Steve!!!!

Brutal experience! Brought a dress shirt in for a simple clean on Saturday morning, was told I could pick it up Monday (needed it for Tuesday morning). By Tuesday morning the shirt was still not ready, absolutely screwing me over. Even by Wednesday night the shirt was not ready. The cashier was rude and unapologetic. I would never use this over priced, unreliable cleaner ever again

Sun King Cleaners at Jane and Annette is excellent! The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, and their alterations are of high quality. I needed quick alterations to my bridesmaid dress, and they were able to complete these alterations in three days! I brought my vintage 80’s Chanel here for a deep clean and oh boy what a mistake. They ruined the lamb skin leather on the straps and added their own stitching. I’m currently working with a lawyer to take them to small claims court because this bag was 4k. Please do not trust your valuables with these people, you will be disappointed.

I learned about this company from a friend at work and i am definitely not one to post reviews on places that i have been to, but i really think this cleaners is quite good. The sales staff are very nice and seem to know what they are doing. The cleaning and pressing of my silk garments have NEVER looked better. I love the fact that i was able to get my order delivered to my house after i realized i forgot to pick up my clothes-and at no extra charge :)
