They're good at what they do. You need to be very clear and firm about what you want though. They are usually busy, so you may feel a bit rushed unless you politely demand more "attention". I had a suit altered here. After quickly measuring and marking it they tried to move on to the next customer right away, without making sure that i approved of the alteration plan. I had to be a bit forceful. That would be my only complaint. The quality of the work was very good.

I have been coming to Paul's for as long as I can remember and their website says it was opened in 1981. I have gone to Paul's to not only get suits altered in every way imaginable but to get my jeans altered too. They always do great work and do it fast. Granted, I don't know a lot about tailors as this is pretty much the only place I have ever gone but everyone I know who has ever been here raves about this place. I like this place and have always gone here and probably always will as long as I'm in Toronto. The only time I have ever gone elsewhere is I am buying something from a place and they do the tailoring on-site as part of the cost of the item. If you need some tailoring done, check them out. They DO NOT take credit cards but do take cash, debit, or even cheques (yes, I was surprised to see the sign in there too that said that but it did). One thing to 'watch out for' is the fact that if you walk out of their change rooms in only your underwear the whole store will see you and because they leave the doors open on nice days, the whole Bathurst Street might see you too.

Quick and reasonable here, where we become quick to realize every neighbourhood can use a Paul's they can count on! Decent place where in my few experiences, I got value for my tailoring services. Quality work done well before the promised deadline ~ in this case, replacing a long zipper on my winter shearling.

Their value prop certainly isn't speed or price.. I had a pair of dress pants altered, which was fine. They charged me $70 to taper both pairs, which sounds excessive to me. Also whenever I've brought anything in, they always quote about a week out, and then it turns into a negotiation, and then I have to call them to see when they are ready.. Since I've moved in the area, I've been trying to find an alternative to what I had downtown, which was amazing. I'll keep looking.

Daniel: November.17th.2017 I brought in a blue checked navy suit. First time customer trying to find a good honest Tailor. Very fast turn around service. Very nice gentleman and lady. They accomoddated all my request and also kept the extra material in my suit. I am very happy and glad I tried this place. I took their business cards because this is the only place I will ever trust my suits to be altered. I travel 1 hour to come to this place so that shows how good the alteration experience here was. Because I was in a rush they even tapered my pants right away in 30 minutes. Very pleased .

I've been to Paul's Alterations a couple of times now, most recently to have leather elbow patches sewn onto one of my favourite wool coats. They made the alteration perfectly, and the patches look natural to the coat. Service is professional and incredibly high quality. Recommended.
