Since my wedding was planned in a hurry, I didn’t have much time to get a new dress ordered. Luckily, their Barrie store has a rent wedding dress option. I found a great dress as well as the accessories and jewelry to match my dress in this section. Honestly, it is a steal deal. Looks new and nobody will ever guess that it is rented.

Do not waste your money if you are thinking this is the place to bring your family / friends to have the dream dress trying on experience... you are wrong. I dont understand how this place is the highest rated dress shop in Barrie. We paid for the VIP experience so the bride could have her mother and maid of honour and bridesmaid. It could not have been less of a "VIP" feeling. The "senior expert" had no clue about pricing- the employee that was there before she left for the night told the employee that was helping us to "call her to discuss pricing of off the rack dresses". The fact that this store charges $150 TO SHOP IN THEIR STORE- I am just in shock. I brought my son in his stroller- this building is not accessible and the employees watched me struggle to open the door while standing and staring. As I was taking off my shoes which was requested- but no other foot wear provided, I wasn't told to bring any either at the time of booking the appointment. I was told the stroller couldn't come in the store due to salt on the street, and was asked to carry my baby around for our 2 hour VIP appointment. Our "VIP" appointment was not accommodating at all. I felt so uncomfortable that I left the appointment early. The sales woman didn't mention that there was holes in the bottom of one of the dresses until the wedding party pointed it out. This was an off the rack dress. The sales woman also fought the maid of honour and bridesmaid on the types of dresses we picked out for the bride. The bride was standing naked in the change room and was very uncomfortable. The bride, my sister, will not be buying her dress from the store. She is so upset that the experience she has had planned in her head since she was little was destroyed by this awful place.

It was nothing like my previous experiences where the sales people didn’t seem to understand what I said. Here, Olga was on board with my idea immediately. We were here for my granddaughter, Rylan. When we went into the store we were greeted and shown the dresses to look over. At first we were a bit intimidated by all the gowns and which sizes were best to try on. The young lady that assisted us made it much easier once we told her the things that Rylan did not want. She let us browse through and also made a few choices for Rylan to try. Once we had about 6 or 7 dresses, we moved into the seating area and waited for Rylan to come out with each one on. I can’t remember our attendants name but she had long hair in a blueish green colour. She was very helpful and narrowed the 3 top choices down to the 3 favourites and then had Rylan try them on again. We all gave Rylan feedback and she made her choice. The whole experience was wonderful and we left the store very happy. I have to commend the store assistant for making the trip successful and so enjoyable.

I loved my experience at Best For Bride, it was my first time in a bridal shop and they made me feel comfortable. Milaine is truly amazing at her job; I showed her some styles I had in mind and she found many in my price range. She is a WIZARD with clips too! I haven't decided on my dress yet but that's only because it's very early in my search. Don't be surprised if you see me again soon! Note for guests, due to hardwood floors they ask that shoes be removed. They offer sanitized slippers but if you're not comfortable with that then bring socks!

They were extremely accommodating when I changed my appointment several times and sent me plenty of reminders about my upcoming appointment. I went with my sister (the bride-to-be) and mom the other day to pick out a wedding dress. There was a wide variety of dresses to try on and Taylor was very helpful, giving us extra information and advice about the dresses my sister tried on. When my sister tried on the dress we ended up choosing, Taylor told us about how it shimmers in the light, and brought us to a wedding display in the back of the store where the lighting was bright so we were able to see it. This was very helpful as we got to see the true beauty of the dress! The store also had a nice atmosphere, and it was overall a fun experience.

Best for Bride was the second bridal store I went to in Barrie and I can honestly say this is the best place to look for a wedding dress. They have a huge selection of beautiful dresses! Taylor helped me through my craze of trying on tons of dresses and she was so nice and easy to work with and very friendly. I went in with my mind set on a black dress and Taylor brought me all the dresses that were already in black and what I could order in black that were originally white. She showed me a beautiful dress that I tried on in white and could order in black and when I tried it on, right away I knew it was the one. She was so helpful!! The store was a great size as was the dressing room. However, the lighting made it difficult to view the dresses. Our consultant, who was supposed to be helping the bride, would leave and not come back until we finally started clamping the dresses ourselves. Sometimes the bride would try on a dress and come out for us to view and would be in another dress before the lady came back. It took away from the excitement of trying on wedding dresses. The store was gorgeous as were the dresses however the customer service was incredibly disappointing and I find that highly important.

I went with my daughter to the Barrie location to find her prom gown. The experience was just amazing, I couldn't have wished for anything better. They made her feel so comfortable and allowed her to browse around by herself for a bit. The consultant who was helping us was so kind and welcoming. I would never recommend Best for Bride in Barrie after the horrible experience my daughter and myself had yesterday! We have had friendlier, more professional help at a clothing shop at the mall compared to this place! My daughter booked an appointment online and received a confirmation of the time/day of the appointment on her phone. When we showed up for the appointment my daughter could see someone with a dress on looking in the mirror at herself. When we went into the store a woman yelled out from the change room asking if we had an appointment. My daughter told her the time of her appointment and gave her name. The woman/consultant then yelled out in a very rude, unpleasant tone that the appointment was at 3:00...she then said to give her a minute because she wasn't dressed!!?? I asked my daughter to get the confirmation on her phone ready so we could show it to her when she came out. When she came out we thought we were coming to a yoga class because of her unprofessional attire! We thought we would be greeted with a "hi how are you/good afternoon thank you for coming my name is so and so" and then we planned on showing the consultant the confirmation! OMG I could not believe how rude, unpleasant and unprofessional this consultant was to us! She did not greet us or make any eye contact with us (maybe she was embarrassed because we caught her playing dress up) She just stomped directly over to her computer and fumbled about to put on a mask...there was just an awkward silence so I spoke up and told her that my daughter has a confirmation on her phone for the appointment time for 4:00 but she still insisted that on their end the appointment time was for 3:00...no apology for the glitch in the system/mix up with the time, she just made us feel that she was annoyed with us! Things could have gone so differently if she just would have pleasantly apologized for the mix up and in a friendly manner asked us to stay(there was no one else there) Instead because of her rude, unpleasant and unprofessional tone/attitude we did not stay! It was heartbreaking for a mother to see her daughter so disappointed and upset on a day that should have been a special, fun and memorable day! Thankfully we did have a pleasant experience earlier that day at another Barrie bridal shop!

They don't welcome you when you arrive and definitely don't make you feel wanted. I guess with there being limited dress shops they can do what they want. Best for Bride Barrie was my first choice in bridal dress shopping as it has the biggest selection of Mori Lee wedding gowns as I THOUGHT I was dead set on a designer and style. I had my first try-on today and my experience was exceptional. the consultant helping me was Taylor and I do not have enough good things to say. Because its in the middle of Covid, she allowed us to set up a video call with family members that couldn't make it. After letting my two bridesmaids and I pick out whatever dresses we wanted to try on, she grabbed a few that she felt suited my style, and every single one was amazing. (I ended up choosing one of her recommendations) There was another group of girls coming in who had booked the whole shop nearing the end of my appointment. I found a dress I loved but after a night of sleep, I wrestled with the idea that something might be missing. I could have over analyzed my wedding dress but I needed to book a second appointment to be reassured that I made the right choice. ???? I booked a second appointment with my consultant, Taylor, and she was INCREDIBLE! She reassured me that I look beautiful in my wedding dress, provided me with some tips and advice, and we also discussed some of the additional options to get the exact look I want. She was professional, kind, helpful and super easy to work with. ???? Now I’m even MORE IN LOVE with my dress. I came out of the appointment feeling comfortable, confident and EXCITED! ✨????

I've experienced buying from the barrie location as a brides maid and now a bride. It is a big facility with a TON to choose from in a wide range of prices. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about their dresses and will look anything up if you have questions. With covid I picked a VIP session which was so relaxing as we were the only ones in the store. Had a wonderful time here and was able to find my dress and my brides maid dresses in one session. I met with Taylor at Best for Bride after I had had a previous not so nice experience at another bridal store. Taylor was attentive, had both my style and budget in mind for me and really listened to what I wanted! In the end, the dress I left with was beautiful, made me feel exquisite and as a plus size bride I really felt like just a normal person! My size didnt matter and she made sure I was able to try on pretty much anything I wanted to! She was reassuring, kind, knowledgeable and down to earth! I had the BEST experience with her and I can't reccommend this store enough! She also made sure I did not feel pressured to purchase something I wasn't 1000% happy with! Thank you Best for Bride!! So, I tagged along when my would-be mother in law went to the store to pick her dress. MOH found the dress just as expected. The experience was great. This was the most fun I have had since I started planning our wedding. The staff at Best for Bride in Barrie are so friendly and helpful - especially Milaine! There is a great dress selection. As a plus sized girl I thought I would have trouble finding a dress that fit; however, it turns out my problem was too many dresses fit and looked amazing! The first bridesmaid dress Milaine suggested looked amazing on every lady in the bridal party, sizes ranging from 0 to 26. We did not anticipate it would be this easy. I would highly recommend this store if you are planning a wedding.

Great experience! This store has a large selection of dresses. My consultant was Milaine and she was amazing. Listened to what I had in mind, knowledgeable, professional and not at all pressured to just sell me a dress. I was not rushed, could try on a number of dresses and try on again the top 2 contenders. It ended up that Milaine knew exactly what would work best for me and my day and it was her suggested dress that ended up being THE dress!! The dress is one I never would have picked on my own, so trust her!! I highly recommend this store and Milaine in particular.

I would recommend anyone to come to this location (Barrie ) . I have tried 3 other bridal shops and nothing compared to this one . I was able to look through my dress, and choose what I would like & try it on. I wasn’t ever able to do that with any other bridal stores. Being plus size you get a limited option to try on but not at best for brides , Milaine made me feel amazing , comfortable, welcoming , I was able to try on smaller dresses and all she did was put some material at the back to cover me up and it made me feel like a million bucks , you don’t get that at other bridal shops you get your size and that was it . Another thing I loved about this bridal shop once I had my wedding dress on , I wasn’t bugged and pressured into anything , she was there when I needed her but I was able to speak with my family and get there opinion in private . I drove 2 hours to shop at best for brides and I’m glad i did . BECAUSE I SAID YES TOO THE DRESS!! Milaine you did an amazing job and recommended anyone to get services from you and thank you again for helping me find my dress !
