What I can say is that Claudio has done a terrific and outstanding job for my first-ever custom-made suit. Just an absolute hidden gem for getting a custom made suit at a great price. The beauty and old world charm to this place is amazing they make their suits in house, including all touch ups and alterations. They listen to your needs and make you feel at home. Even if you are not there to get it made and your measurements are the same they can make what you want and ship it to you. That’s amazing. I would definitely go back and get another suit made to measure the Umberto way. Bravissimo gentlemen.

I should start by saying this is the only review I’ve ever done, and prob will be the last lol. I’m 32 and I wanted a more modern/fitted looking suit. I bought 6 suits, shirts, ties, and pocket squares (for my wedding party - who ranged from 5 foot 7 - 140 pounds to 6 foot 6 - 260) I got hooked up with Claudio from good old google. I did loads of research; websites, reviews etc. Even though I thought his website was the worst, lol, his reviews were impeccable.. so I ended up picking between him and one other place. I called both places... not only was Claudio more professional, and able to answer my questions with 110% confidence... he just seemed to “know suits” a lot more then his competition. The process was semi knew for me (I wear suits everyday for work, but usually just buy off the rack; boss, zenga, etc ) After some back and forth I learned a few things. A perfect fitting suit is much like a tattoo... if you tell the artist you want “a skull” And let him just draw any skull... you get what you get lol. However, Claudio was super interactive the whole fitting process making sure I got what I wanted and listened to exactly how I wanted everything to fit. Good attention to detail with little things like coloured buttons on my shirt, names on the suits, silk linings, etc. All of our suits are a great fit. The stitching his dad did was second to none. I’m completely happy with my suit. If you want to get “your best look” Go see Claudio.

They make incredible suits for both men and women. The prices are extremely reasonable and the quality is unmatched. I have been going to Umberto's for 5 years and still have the suit they made for my wedding. In total I have invested in 8 custom suits. The quality and craftsmanship is second to none. I have tried the online retailers and they don't come close the quality that Umberto's is able to provide. An often over looked benefit of having the suit made locally is the ability to make adjustments and have them serviced over time. I have had several of the suits adjusted to update styles and adjust jackets and pants as I have lost weight.

Great craftsmanship! Claudio is friendly, accomodating and up to date with current trends while still very knowledgeable on classic looks. I went in without really knowing what I wanted. He walked me through it, made recommendations, and his father put together a grey suit! Definately worth the extra few hundred dollars if you need a nice suit for special occasions! And I'm pretty picky and shy. There were 2 aspects of the suit that needed micro adjustments. I felt kind of silly bringing it back in twice. They helped me out no questions asked. Expectations exceeded. Great work, guys. Great business!

Forget Savile Row, Just go to 6th Ave! Umberto's represents the 1% of places that truly honour the craft of suit making. I went to EVERY major menswear store in the city wanting a particular look and feel for my wedding suit. What I learned was that 99% of places - big, small, high end, low end, just take your measurements and send them to some factory (offshore or within NA). Either way, what you get is a "custom-fitted" suit that comes from a some template. When you go to Umberto's YOU are the template, and the suit is made IN-HOUSE. Umberto's creates BESPOKE suits tailored to you, and the cost is comparable and can even be less than the "brand name" and "made-to-measure" competition (depending on your fabric selection). At Umberto's, you get the impression they care about the details because it's their name on wall. The suit is made IN-HOUSE to your taste and style, they are fully canvased, and critical stitches are done by hand. I couldn't be happier with my suit and highly recommend going here. One piece of advice - go in with a budget because it can be easy to get carried away. Side note - they also have their own custom shoe line, which is really cool, but I don't have any personal experience with so can't speak to it.

I went to Umbertos to get a wedding suit made after a ton of research and shopping around. Claudio provided lots of advice and the suit turned out phenomenally! The fit and finish was impeccable and the process from start to finish was easy - you knew you were in good hands. I'd highly recommend taking a look at Umbertos if you're looking to get a suit made.

No off the shelf suit fits even after its tailored like the way the a custom one from Umberto's. Any one who has to or wants to wear a suit should get at least one. You pay a lot but its worth every nickel. My first jacket is going on nine years strong and still looks great. Apparently they will be getting a webpage soon and that should help those who need that to help make a decision

I’ve had two sport coats and a suit made here. These have been the best clothing purchases i’ve made. I’ve found that buying suits at the other places (even “made to measure”) is a total waste of time and money because the quality and fit can never come close to what Claudio can do.

I walked in to have 7 articles tailored and was greeted up a frowning salesperson who clearly looked like he had somewhere better to be. When I began talking about a jacket I would like being fitted in the torso the slouching man stretched out one arm and mumbled “lemme see it”. Clearly he didn’t want to do the work and he treated me terrible so I turned around and left. Poor service and there are plenty of great people who would love he work. Very bad.
