Appalling service! I went to a number of bridal shops over the weekend to look for a one shouldered floor length chiffon dress. I understand that the weekends are the busiest times for bridal shops however, this is no excuse for poor service! Not once were we (myself, 3 bridesmaids and my mother) waited on. No hello, no we are very busy but if you need anything let us know, NOTHING! When my mother finally caught a staff member walking by she asked about a one shouldered dress with an empire waist the lady tried to correct her pronunciation of empire. In the fashion world empire is pronounced with a french accent am-pier, she should know working in a dress store! How rude! Not only this but one of my bridesmaids brought her 6 month old baby in the stroller and the same lady had the audacity to complain about the dirt the stroller tracked in. I asked if they had a cloth and offered to wipe up the small scuff marks on the floor but she snobbishly turned away and huffed it's fine. We would have stuck closer to the entrance with the stroller but the store has a very awkward layout. They new layout of the downtown store is terrible. The store has an awkward layout which, leaves you trampling over other brides and bridesmaids, with only 3 fitting rooms and one full 3 panel mirror. When we complained to the senior staff member (a manager was not available) the rude staff member came around the corner and tried to argue with my mother and deny her behaviour! Unbelievable. Don't waste your time here!

I have been seriously to every bridal store in Calgary ... and some of them 2x or more... I had the hardest time finding my wedding dress... I have been to Cameo and Cufflinks the most... and dealt with different people each time on most occassions... I seriously do not have ONE bad thing to say.... the girls are wonderful... patient, and attentive... the selection of bridal gowns are great, including designers that most places do not carry... yes there are stores in town that carry a larger selection... but larger doesn't been better!!!! The room that we change in are spacey and comfortable as well.. with room for your friends to enjoy... the bling room gives you the options to try on different items as well to give you a good idea of what you want!!!! I can say many bad things about other places.. but I will keep quiet.... def go down to Cameo and Cufflinks for an overall great wedding dress shopping experience!!!! I think we can all relate to how stressful it can be! cheers

I love the staff they were so ever helpful, they are very passionate and really knew her stuff. I found my dream dress and I can't wait to get it! They had so much selection for bridal, bridesmaids, flower girls, and mother of the bride. The set up in the dressing room for the bridal area was super cool had long comfy white leather couches, and podiums for the brides to stand on. Beautiful store!

This place was alright. When I went, the consultant was there alone so she had to help others and help me at the same time. The dresses was at the back, there were a decent selection, but it seemed crowded in there and hard to look at the dresses. I was given 5 clips to clip them onto the hanger of dresses I'd like to try. They carry designer brands that go up to 7000 for a gown! Well I tried on several, unfortunately the ones I liked was way over my budget! So most of the dresses I saw were on the higher end for the majority of their selection. I have to say, it was a good experience, not spectacular though in comparison to some other bridal shops I went to.

I had an amazing experience at Cameo and Cufflinks!! Nicole took the time to answer all of my questions. She was very caring and gave me a lot of time during my appointments!! I took all the time I needed comfortably and the staff was great about giving me some privacy and not being there the whole time while making a decision.!! I went to 11 other bridal stores in calgary and none were as great as their service!!!! The first time I went into Cameo and Cufflinks , I went walk in, they did not turn me away like other bridal stores do for not having an appointment. I am a very pleased customer!! :) Would recommend start shopping at Cameo and Cufflinks before going elsewhere!!. :)

Weddings can be a stressful time, and good business practice can go a long way to alleviate some of the stress placed on wedding parties. Unfortunately this was not the case with our experience at Cameo & Cufflinks. One of our bridesmaids, who had recently been wed, and was well aware of her dress size, had provided her measurements to the staff at Cameo & Cufflinks. The dress came back, the sizes were incorrect, and the only recourse offered was to buy a new dress from them, with no discount, no exchange, no return. They offered to rush the making of the new dress, if we agreed to buy another dress at full price. It was also unfortunate that they were unwilling to accept any of the blame, and continuously deflected the blame to our bridesmaid, alleging that she provided the wrong sizes. Very disappointed with the experience, and highly recommend people go elsewhere. Follow up to the owner's response: I appreciate your prompt response, it truly shows how much your customers mean to you. Let's consider this to be an unfinished experience, that at present is leaving a sour taste in our collective mouths. There is still time to right the ship and turn this experience, as a whole, into a positive. The solutions presented to date have been unsatisfactory, and have forced our hand into looking elsewhere, in the short timeline remaining. I look forward to hearing what further solutions might be offered.

We had an awful experience at Cameo and Cufflinks. The staff and manager were absolutely horrible to deal with and have wrecked what should have been a memorable moment with my sister. My sister purchased a wedding dress in October. Our initial visit was alright, no real complaints. However, things went south when the dress came in for pick-up. When trying the dress on, my sister couldn't get it done up, which is obviously a stressful moment for any woman. Instead of comforting her or being sensitive to the situation, our consultant decided to openly, and loudly, talk about gaining "COVID weight" in front of a room of other customers. It was not a very respectful way to handle the situation as my sister was already in tears. At the request of us, she then looked at the measurements and remeasured my sister - apparently she had gone up two sizes. What was strange was that her measurements were exactly the same in her bust, waist and hips. I feel as if they ordered the dress in the wrong size to begin with. The dress that came in was also the wrong colour. We ordered the exact same colour of dress that was in the show room, but the one that arrived was very obviously a different colour (we could literally compare them side-by-side). The manager's reasoning for this was because the showroom dress had been 'displayed in the window' and the 'sun changes the colour.' Which seems absurd to begin with, but even if that was that case, wouldn't you be telling your customers that the colour was "changed by the sun" before allowing them to place an order? When dealing with the manager, Jess, to try and come up with a solution, as we had a dress that did not fit and was the wrong colour, she was completely rude and condescending. She said things such as "It's not my fault you gained 15 pounds" and asked my sister "Have you tried swimming?" There was absolutely no compassion, empathy or understanding. Any bride wants to look beautiful on their wedding day, and a bridal store should strive to make a bride feel that way - no matter their measurements. Instead, the consultant and manager body-shamed my sister in front of a room full of people. In the end, they offered to give us the show room dress (which does have flaws in it...at least it's the right 'sun-bleached' colour). This was a good example of customer service, until the manager said "I don't even want to be giving you this dress." when we expressed concern with the flaws in the dress. I truly hope that the staff at this location, and the manager, take a minute to realize how saying things to people in a vulnerable moment can stick with them and harm them, especially in regards to a woman's body and their wedding day.. I would not recommend this store to any bride who wants to feel special and beautiful when trying to find the right dress.

I got married in August 2018 and purchased my dress from here. They had a great selection and comfortable shopping experience. However, when it came to buying the dress I picked out they told me to order a bigger size than the sample - which fit me perfectly - so i bought an 8 instead of a 6. It was a huge mistake getting the bigger size. All I ended up doing was paying more for alterations to get it back down to a size 6. I also had to go somewhere else for alterations because they were way too over priced. I would recommend lakeview alterations - I had a great experience with them.

This place was where I thought that I would for sure find my dream gown as they were listed as carrying one of the designers that I loved all of their dresses. First off, when I went in, there was a lady at the front of the store who was in a full on fight with someone (provided, the customer was being super rude and ignorant, the sales lady was yelling right back at her) It seemed pretty hostile on both ends. Anyways, so my appointment was a lady who was really nice, but the dresses she kept bringing me were super dirty. The designer I was looking at is pretty expensive, I would expect the samples to be in better condition. I did not even bring my bridesmaids back to see the dresses their that I liked, because they would probably guilt me for spending so much money on such poor quality.

I did the VIP Bride experience at this location and am so glad I did this. It was super special to have cupcakes and champagne for my entourage while I was busy trying on dresses. Brenda was who held my appointment and she was lovely but a bit scattered. Out of the 3 places I went to this day, this was the least personal. I didn't really have too many questioned asked about what I was looking for, price range, where I was from, etc. I liked that I could go look through the selection of dresses before hand to see what I liked. They did have a lot of different brands however, didn't carry too many simple dresses. It'd also be nice to see more dress sizes. I would recommend this place. Thanks Brenda!

Lots of bad reviews for this place, but I had a great experience! There wasn't anyone at the reception desk when I arrived, but once someone came, they were very helpful and friendly. My consultant was very nice and seemed genuinely excited to help me find my dress. She explained their process well -- they give you 5 or so clips and let you walk through the salon and put clips on the dresses you want to try on. That gives the consultant a place to start, and then she brings more dresses based on how you like those first 5. Worked great for me! I liked being able to look at the dresses, but still with some guidance, so it wasn't a free for all. They don't have tons of dresses, which might be limiting for some brides looking for a specific style. But I found the perfect dress there! I would definitely recommend Cameo & Cufflinks.

Background // I am getting married next year in May, and began my hunt for dresses fairly early. I went to two places in Calgary, and two in Vancouver before coming to Cameo and Cufflinks. Due to one horrible experience, I decided to go for the VIP experience. It was awesome! The Store // Is awesome. It's really nicely laid out. There's an area behind the counter for trying dresses on. If I remember correctly there are about four places for people to try on dresses. They face away from each other, and have curtains that close around. There are big beautiful mirrors that are all around. There are nice pouffs/couches for the guests to sit. It was really nice to feel that you had space, and a degree of privacy, without the area being over crowded. The wedding dresses are beautifully organized, and I loved that they weren't wrapped in plastic. You were able to have a better feel for the material of the dresses. The Dress Selection // Initially I discussed with your consultant some of the ideas I had, and showed some of the dresses I liked. Then you go and put tags on five dresses that you love. You get to try on these dresses. From there the consultant makes recommendations. The dresses were beautifully made, and had great price points attached. The Staff // I was fortunate enough to work with Nicole for my VIP appointment. She was amazing! Nicole was very approachable, fun and had fantastic recommendations. She was very knowledgeable and honest in the dress selection and suggestions. I loved working with her, and am looking forward to continue working with her through the rest of the process :). I feel that this paragraph does not do her justice, so the bottom line is she was wonderful, and I highly recommend working with her! While trying on my dress, and when I finally picked it, the other staff were also helpful with feedback, and suggestions (when it came to ordering the dress as well). VIP Experience // I highly recommend the VIP experience. It was awesome to get the store to yourself. I did the Gold experience, which was fantastic, because I got to use some of the money towards to dress :). Overview // Wonderful experience, I loved it! The service was wonderful, the store was great, and the selection was excellent. I bought my dress here :).

I went to cameo and Cufflinks a few weeks ago for a bridesmaid dress and wedding dress, and it was such a great experience! It was my first time trying on dresses and was a little nervous about what to expect, but was blown away by the customer service. Our consultant Grace really made the experience so lovely! She was so helpful, knowledgeable about the dresses/ designers and really made sure I felt like a bride! They had so many beautiful dresses to choose from, a variety of styles and price ranges. The consultant helped me pick different styles, she asked great questions to help me know what I was looking for and made me feel super comfortable. My mom joined via face time and Grace made her feel part of it too, which really helped make it special. My sister tried on bridesmaids dresses and Grace helped her pick the right styles and showed her the many different colours available. We both can’t say enough of how much a fun and relaxing experience it was, which was largely due to Grace!

Nicole is amazing! I'm sure the other consultants are great too but I will recommend Nicole to anyone who is looking for their wedding dress. Their fitting rooms are laid out better than other places and they allow pictures! Each time I have been to the store everyone has been really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Had an appointment here a few weeks ago and really loved the appointment! It was private and the consultant (Jade) was incredible. She was super helpful, asked good questions at the beginning which I thought were smart questions to ask (and which I didn't see other salons do) and was always suggesting variations when I said I wasn't happy with something. The appointment was free but if they charged I would have been happy to spend the money. Wonderful experience overall and the bridal dresses were very beautiful for reasonable prices.

What an amazing experience! If I would recommend any bridal store in Calgary it would be this one. I had the pleasure of being assisted by a wonderful mother daughter duo! I l felt like a princess the entire day. My dad and I made an appointment for Black Friday weekend for myself to try on wedding gowns. It was a nice and quiet environment that was very private and suitable for us. Not only did the experts help me put on these massive ballgowns but there was a beautiful walk-through set up to get a true feel of the dress which lead to a sunlit room with larger mirrors that just made all of it feel so dreamy! It was nothing short of elegant, fun, and above and beyond! I genuinely felt the team that helped me in store cared for what was best for myself and my day! I believe their names to be Jessica and Brenda. After I had found the perfect dress and the veil to go with it, I also found a tiara my jaw dropped for! Their current stock wasn't particularly a color that was suitable with my dress, so the ladies helped me with ordering a custom made tiara in the same shape but I requested to match the colours with my dress! I never thought I could feel so lucky! And! to top it all off, my Dad ended up finding not only one, but two brand new suit and pant outfits and we picked up about every single colour bow tie they had because they were so inexpensive! Sorry for the novel; but you should all know this was an incredible experience and these ladies working here will ensure yours is everything you've ever hoped for and more. Thank you so much for all the help and I will always tell my friends about you!

Found the same dress that I tried on in-store, online for $100 less! The lady working also quizzed me on where I was ordering from b/c apparently that line CANNOT be purchased online anywhere.. she mentioned that if I bought online they would all be knock-off's... not true! In fact, I will be saving over $500 on bridesmaids gowns alone by ordering online! Happy I did not purchase in store!

My bridesmaids and I were specifically looking for a designer carried by this store for bridesmaid dresses and so we took a chance and visited on a busy Saturday afternoon. We didn't have an appointment but were able to go right in and browse. We were approached several times asking if we needed help, and our dress selections were taken right away to fitting rooms. The ladies working there were obviously extremely busy but checked back with us, brought us clamps, and brought us a color swatch book and a color sample to take home. When my autistic sister came later on that day to try on the dress we had picked, without being asked they let her into the bridal area because it was quieter (noise overwhelms her). The lady helping her made her feel like a princess! I also had them dealing with transactions from my cousin in Manitoba and over the phone transactions for a Jr. Bridesmaid in the states, and they didn't mess up anything. They called me the day the dresses came in, which was two months early. Hopefully the employees involved with the bad experiences are an exception, as I couldn't have been happier with my experience.

I was very excited to go to Cameo and Cufflinks after reading the reviews I read but I was unfortunately very disappointed by the experience. Their selection of dresses was very limited, unless you have a $4000-$7000 budget and none of the dresses are protected or kept in garment bags on the racks - so all of them were tattered and disgusting. My consultant honestly didn't seem interested in helping me find a dress that I enjoyed and when she handed me my first dress she said "Uh if you need my help or clamps or something just let me know." Uh yes, I am not Houdini I need your help doing me up in theses wedding dresses. After I went through my 6 options of dresses that me and my bridal party had picked out the consultant only picked 2 dresses for me. One of which I really disliked and was nothing like I was looking for. Needless to say, after experiences at other bridal stores Cameo and Cufflinks does not compare. I would not go back there and I would not recommend for any one I know to go there either.

I had a wonderful experience here on a Sunday afternoon. I could not make an appointment for the time they had available but they managed to squeeze me in when I showed up. I don't remember the name of the person helping me out, but she was very helpful and brought out a few more dresses for me to try once she saw what I liked. She was very respectful of my budget and I also didn't feel pressured to buy anything that day, even though I ended up trying dresses for quite some time! There were beautiful bridal dresses starting from $500! Street parking was readily available on the Sunday. I ended up buying my dress here. Would definitely recommend :).

Lovely bridal boutique located in downtown Calgary. There is a wide selection of wedding dresses. There is also a huge selection of bridesmaid dresses. We had to buy the dress straight off the rack because the wedding is in a month. Not only was the staff friendly and helpful, but they found us a dress at an unreal discount! I bought my wedding dress from Cameo and Cufflinks and it was an amazing experience! I really liked that I got to be in control of what was picked out, it was nice to be able to look around and touch the dresses, you can definitely feel the difference in quality between designers. They definitely have affordable dresses but they are still good quality. I also liked the fact that the price tag is attached to the dress, it makes it easy when picking them out. I am an extremely indecisive person and they were incredibly patient with me, I was able to make a few appointments to try on the same dress just to be sure. Being able to get the alterations done at the same location was also incredibly convenient, and knowing that the owner had hand picked these seamstresses means they must be good because if anything goes wrong it's her name on the line! They even went the extra mile to give me a very detailed bustle. Can't say enough good things about them!

I am sad to say this was the worst service I have ever received. I took my bridesmaids in to choose a dress, everything went well in store however this was now over 6 months ago and we have not yet received the dresses. Since we are now getting close to the time of the wedding we have been concerned and calling the store, every time we have spoken to someone they have told us the dresses are on their way and they will call us back within the next few days for an update. They have neglected to call back for any updates over the past few weeks, and we have still been trying to reach them to get some answers wth no luck thus far. I am so very disappointed with the service we received as we were very excited about the dresses, however now this has added some unnecessary stress to the wedding planning as we still have received no answers :(

I had a very negative experience purchasing a bridesmaid dress from Cameo & Cufflinks. When I was measured for my dress prior to ordering, I was told that I would need to order a size 8. I wear a size 2-4 in regular clothing, so this seemed big to me, however I know that with bridal/bridesmaids dresses, a larger size is usually needed. Despite the assertion of the saleswoman that I would need an 8 and that a 6 would be far too small, I ordered a 6. I picked up the dress today, and it is WAY too big. Upon re-measurement, the associate stated that compared with the previous measurements, I've lost 2 inches from my bust and 1 from my waist. Though this would be a lovely treat, it's entirely impossible as I have lost no weight and all of my clothes fit exactly as the always have. Today's measurements would have put me in a size 4, the size I would have ordered had I just been guessing and without an “expert” to measure me. I called the store back, thinking that perhaps they could order in the appropriate size in exchange for the current dress, but was told that all sales are final, and that there is no way the initial measurements were wrong. Infuriatingly, the bride as well as 5 other bridesmaids have ordered dress through them, so they have made a significant amount of money from our group. The associate with whom I spoke on the phone today stated "none of the others who ordered their dresses from us have had any issues with sizing, so it's not possible that your measurements were done incorrectly". This, too, is incorrect. They got the bride's HEIGHT wrong, for what was to be a dress made to a "custom length". Luckily, they recognized their error (following some argument), and refunded her the money she had paid for the "custom length", but she still needs to have alterations to add to the length. Two other bridesmaids have stated that their measurements were not done correctly and that the sizes ordered were likely not the right ones. What I find most frustrating is that there is no recourse for the store. I have paid $250 for a dress, and will require another $100 plus for alterations due to the recommendations they made to me, yet there is nothing that they will even attempt to do to rectify the error. I would absolutely recommend to do your own measurements and order your dress online (as I had already selected a style prior to going in anyway), as you will receive no additional benefit nor customer service by going through this store. All you'll get is an incorrect size recommendation and a big bill for alterations.

Wonderful is the word I would use to sum up my experience. If you are lucky enough, ask for Nicole. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. I walked into the store and came too early for my appointment, I made a mistake. However, they were still able to accommodate me and my bridesmaid. Everyone I met was respectful and kind enough to help when Nicole was busy. They were attentive, listened to what I wanted, brought out dresses that were what we described, gave us tips about various things (i.e. alterations - what's expensive to change, what's not). I really liked their system, we were given 5 tags, given a chance to look around the store and "tag" the 5 dresses you liked the most and try them on. It was really different from all the wedding stores I've been to, where you describe your dream dress and they try their best to interpret what that might be.

I had a wonderful experience at Cameo and Cufflinks!! They have a gorgeous selection of dresses at multiple price points. The sales people are absolutely lovely! I had initially tried on a Hailey Paige dress with sleeves that I LOVED on the rack but once I tried it wasn’t the one. Instead of trying to pressure me into buying that one, they brought me a different (significantly LESS expensive) dress that I would never have chosen off the rack myself. But as soon as I tried it on I knew it was the one! It had similar details to the ones I loved about the Hailey Paige dress but it suited my body type perfectly! When I was mesured for the dress they ordered me exactly the size I needed (I know I got a bit lucky there!) But what I really appreciated was that they didn’t try to order me a larger size so I’d need more alterations (something that’s happened to me TWICE with bridesmaid dresses!). All I needed was a bustle for my train so the alteration fee was minimal! I’d highly recommend buying your dress at Cameo & Cufflinks!!

I had a wonderful experience here! My consultant was extremely attentive and helpful throughout the whole appointment. She really listened to my likes and dislikes and brought me options that accommodated for those. The changing area is very different from others in that you stay in the area you change in which I think is really smart and convenient. Overall I had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend to others!

I had the pleasure of having an appointment at Cameo & Cufflinks almost two weeks ago to try on wedding dresses. I was very nervous as it was my first appointment to try on dresses. My consultant Gabby was perfect, friendly and fun as well as professional. She instructed myself, my mother and my maid of honor on how the appointment would work and was very attentive to my input and budget. C&C has a gorgeous selection of dresses in a wider range of prices than I had found in my research of other boutiques. I found my dress on the fourth try and Gabby picked out the veil to perfect the look! At the end C&C has a beautiful wall to take "I Said Yes!" photos. I would highly recommend this boutique as well as Gabby!

My friend bought a bridesmaid's dress from Cameo & Cufflinks for her girlfriend's wedding. They were adamant that she's a size 16 (and people who know her know she is not a size 16 lol) and that the designer for this dress line runs small and she would need to go up a size (which is totally fair). She picked up the dress last week and she was swimming in it. She took it to the seamstress and was basically told that the dress is too big for her and to just order a new dress - which isn't an option because her friend's wedding is in 2 weeks. The alterations are now costing her MORE than the dress. So She called Cameo & Cufflinks and was essentially told too bad so sad, and they would not admit to making a mistake on the size of the dress they ordered for her. She went back and checked what her measurements were recorded as by the lovely lady who CUSTOM MADE her wedding dress and discovered that Cameo had her bust measurements down wrong and were off by TWO INCHES. When she brought this to the manager's attention, she basically told her they ordered the right size and refused to admit any fault and told her the seamstress is overpriced and is overcharging her and that was all they would say about the matter. PLEASE TELL HER HOW BEING OFF BY TWO INCHES ISN'T A MISTAKE? The owner kept insisting that they ordered the right size even though her measurements are off by 2 freaking inches, and that it's her own fault because she signed off on the dress. Ummmmm she was trusting the staff of a bridal salon to get her measurements RIGHT how is this her fault? They offered her absolutely ZERO help and didn't even TRY to offer a solution. Not to mention this is like the 4th thing they've screwed up for her friend's bridesmaid dresses and haven't offered her any consolation for their multiple errors - they just keep placating her by telling her it's "normal". Worst customer service ever!

Great customer service, beautiful store and dresses that are great quality. The girls that helped us out were wonderful and the atmosphere was very positive, calm and pleasant, not a chaotic experience like other places we visited. The only reason that I gave it a 4 star rating was because there wasn't a lot of selection for more voluptuous figures, which made it a little difficult to find a dress to try on. But in the end, we were able to find something similar to the style and the dress I ended up getting was gorgeous. Be prepared to spend time to find parking as it is mainly street parking and being in downtown can make it a little difficult. Definitely would come here again for any bridal or formal dresses.

Their lack of professionalism, organization, and selection was the reason for my poor experience. First went here Aug 20 2016 to select the dress; the stylist was 20+ min late for the appointment, wasn't around for 80% of it, and I ended up finding the dress myself for my bridesmaids. Was told to come back in January to measure and order, and guaranteed the dress was new and would be there. On Jan 7 2017, we found out that the dress is discontinued and they had NONE of our information on file despite the forms they made us do. Note that they told us to NOT make an appointment; drop-ins for fittings were appropriate. I am back to square one with the wedding 6 months away.. with potential that a dress will take up to 5 months to arrive from there; can't risk it at this point and going to order from somewhere else. To be fair, the most enjoyable part of the process was dealing with Ida about the dress discontinuation; she showed genuine concern for the poor service and lack of documentation from our experience in August. EMAIL RESPONSE from Cameo and Cufflinks, calling my honest feedback about their poor customer service and record systems "outlandish" and BULLYING me to delete my review (I feel strongly to warn others of this place and really didn't want to remove it). They did offer me a small discount in a previous email, but no guarantee or assistance for rush shipping. David's Bridal has the capability of notifying customers of discontinuations.. not sure why that's too much to ask?? """" "We were waiting to call you tomorrow when we open to discuss the matter with you however, as you have decided To l Abe such a negative review we don't see the point of continuing to resolve this matter. I even found my dress here, however I brought my bridesmaids and future mother in law in to view the dress that I had picked and while in the changing room, all we could hear was the staff talking about the commission that they were making and how much they would be making off of my dress. We then continued to walk around the store as my soon to be mother in law is also in the process of getting married and she was looking through the racks for her own dress. While looking at dresses, the staff watched us and made us feel not welcome within their space.

When we got there I got asked what I was looking for, then got given clips for myself and my party to put on dresses I liked. We found some that I liked, and then my mom found THE dress in the sale room! As soon as I put it on I knew it was mine. I had been eyeing some specific dresses and tried those on first - although they looked good on the models, I didn't like the way they looked on me. I went twice - once on a Wednesday night when I was the only one in the store (I highly recommend this!) and once on a Saturday when the store was bustling with brides. I was having difficulties finding a dress to wear to my friends wedding, I called in letting them know I only had a few hours to find a dress, and the budget I had to work with. When I got to the store the girls were very welcoming. They had dresses picked out and waiting for me in a change room. I found a dress that fit me great, and that was in my budget. The staff at Cameo and Cufflinks are amazing. My fiancé and I wanted very simple bridal gowns. None of the dresses in the bridal section were simple, so we each chose a bridesmaid’s dress in ivory. The staff didn’t make us feel bad for buying much less expensive dresses and they still let us dress in the bridal area. Also they were very LGBT friendly. Our wedding day was fantastic and we got tons of compliments on our dresses.

DO NOT BUY YOUR WEDDING DRESS HERE. DO NOT IGNORE THIS REVIEW. The staff are unhelpful and extremely impatient. The main associate is rude. They ordered my veil the wrong color and did not apologize. They ordered my dress 4 SIZES TOO BIG and had to alter it down so many times it ruined the bust. They ruined the alterations and I had to just wear it with the stuffing coming out on the right armpit. The seamstress also left 2 weeks before my wedding date (mid alternations) and left a placement who had no idea what she was doing.

I purchased my wedding dress here for my September 2016 wedding in Toronto. I came to all of my fittings and alteration appointments alone as my family members are all in Ontario and I didnt want my Calgary friends to see the dress before the big day. The staff always made me feel very comfortable and "at home." They were always kind and attentive, and even helped me to pick out my necklace and other accessories for the day. A few days before my flight to Toronto, I tried the dress on at home and realized it was too big (it had fit at my final alteration the week or so prior but I lost a little more weight than I was attempting to). I called them and was in the store for an emergency alteration appointment within two hours. The team there definitely saved the day and were able to get my dress to me before my flight. It fit perfectly at my wedding a few days later. Thank you for being so helpful and for making me feel like a priority!

Disappointing experience. After picking out all the dresses I wanted to try on, I sat in front of my section for a full 10 minutes before anyone asked me if I wanted to try on the first dress. After the second dress, I was out of dresses even though I picked 5 dresses total. No one helped me with clipping, zipping up or lacing up. I had to bring a gown into the change room myself. The first time I was there, I had one consultant assigned to me, she suggested various gowns, zipped me up, fixed the train for pictures, took the gown from me when I was done, etc. I'm shopping for my wedding dress earlier than most people so they must not think I'm taking things seriously. They do have a good selection of designers, however, and a decent range of prices, so I gave two stars.

For the lady who says you need $4000-$7000, what were your expectations for your dress?! Did she want this gigantic ballgown/ designer and expecting to only spend a few hundred?? My budget was WAY below $4000 and found something beautiful. Anyway, my wedding dress shopping at Cameo and Cufflinks was great, they were very attentive and they listened to me as to what I was looking for and stayed within my budget. They also followed with me and I did not feel pressured at all (compared to two other spots I went to in the city) - they were very gracious to answer my questions and because of that I had a second appointment and decided to get my dress there. The customer service was great, nothing to complain about, however, maybe it differs with personnel. I was lucky to have someone who was easy-going, friendly and knew what stock they had. As for bridesmaid dress shopping...they need a little help in this department...I felt lost as I was looking for guidance and styles before I brought my bridesmaids along. The only attendant wasn't very helpful and although she meant well, it was frustrating for me. As a result, my bridesmaids have ordered their dresses elsewhere.

K! this review is happening 18 MONTHS after my experience! So, my (now husband) and I decided that we didn't want to postpone our wedding any longer (we got engaged April 2019, and married February 28, 2021). I bought my dress forever ago from a different location, but I did have a meeting with Jess, who told me that she knew I was already in love with a dress and told me to go with my heart (which I did). Well! Fast forward, forever... my husband and I had a small wedding this past weekend and celebrated over a nice dinner together, just us. We were at dinner, when our server told us that a beautiful soul bought us a bottle of champagne to help us celebrate... the waitress said that the beautiful soul "works in the industry and appreciates brides getting married despite COVID". WELL! THAT PERSON WAS JESS! After a quick chat with this gorgeous human, I realized that THAT beautiful soul was the same person who guided me to go with my heart 18 months prior, and get a dress that I found before my meeting with her. She was so selfless and let me choose the dress she knew I loved. THEN ALMOST TWO YEARS LATER SHE BOUGHT ME A BOTTLE OF CHAMPAGNE FOR OUR WEDDING DAY!!! I honestly didn't feel like a bride until that exact moment that Jess made me feel like a bride... and I am so so so thankful for her and her generosity. You can rest assured with her as your consultant, she will have nothing but your best interest at heart, and she is so passionate about love and marriage and making brides feel special. FIVE STARS OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

I didn’t have a great experience here. I’m not a big girl at all( I wear a 4-6 on a regular basis) but when I first arrived I was told by my bridal consult that I wouldn’t fit into the dresses they had for trying on (which I did but that’s besides the point) so I felt very self conscious before even trying on a dress. When I told them my budget($4000) I felt like i was very dismissed like that was not enough and that I wasn’t going to find anything in that price range as their dresses were more. Online I loved all their stuff and even showed them a few dresses that I liked and I feel like they didn’t show me anything that really suited me or what I asked for. I left feeling rushed out and that my sale wasn’t going to be good enough anyways. Overall I wouldn’t recommend although I know people who have had great experiences here -*Addendum As I was reading the reply from the owner I do want to take back that they didn’t show me anything I showed or liked; that is a very unfair comment on my end to make. They did show me dresses that I showed pictures of There was a my number 1 dress that was over my budget that I wanted to try on that they did let me try on and I was considering buying but I felt quite self conscious in it and I know I was indecisive and probably did take too much time in my appointment and it was not my intention to make anyone miss their other appointment. They did have beautiful dresses available. It is not fair of me to assume that my consultant will be able to pick dresses that I didn’t show but that would really suit me; they aren’t mind readers but maybe years of Tv shows and my other experience made me assume that. I tried to make is clear in my review that this is how my mother and I felt during my experience and maybe not what was meant by the bridal consultant and I know most people did not feel the same as me during their experience.

By the end of the day, they had contacted the designer and come up with a plan with the designer to ensure that I would get my dress with enough time for alterations to be able to wear it for the new wedding date. It means the absolute world to me to encounter a business that really cares about their customers, especially at what is both the happiest and most terrifying time in my life. I strongly encourage everyone looking for a dress to head their way. You are dealing with real compassion and class with those women, and I couldn't be more grateful.

We are getting married July 27, 2019 and ordered a Junior Bridesmaid dress on April 20,2019. The sales lady stated that in order for us to get the dress by mid July we would have to Super Rush it which was an additional $60 to a $300 dress. I found this strange as I was previously told 8 weeks would be more than adequate for a junior bridesmaid dress and we were there 12 weeks in advance to place the order. However, we needed the dress so of course I paid the extra fee. Imagine my surprise when the dress got in 2 weeks later! That’s right it only took 2 weeks! This was more along the lines of what I was told at previous appointments. I feel like I was taken advantage of!! They prayed on my sensitivity to timing to extract additional fees I should not have had to incur. Of course when I spoke to them when I picked up the dress I was told there is nothing they could do and I would have to wait until Tuesday if I wanted to speak to a manager. Beware brides, seems like it’s all about the extra fees here!!!! REPLY TO OWNER: One: I was never told manufacturers could pull items from the line as you stated. Which now seems convenient. Two: I was also told I could only speak to you on Tuesday however when I made my concerns public you communicated with me on a Saturday night. If I was allowed to speak with you this afternoon this could all have been avoided. Three: I am not stating that I was not shown the manufacturers timeline- I was, numerous times actually- to show me that that dress needed to be “Super Rushed”. I am stating that prior to coming in to buy a dress I was told manufacturing timelines were fine and there was lots of time if I came in 8 weeks in advance. However, when I did come in 12 weeks in advance to place the order all of a sudden I had to “Super Rush” to get the dress prior to my wedding. Which low and behold magically arrived ( I thought it was 2 however I’ve been corrected to 3) 3 weeks after my order. Four: You telling me I was not taken advantage of does not make it so. I was. I am allowed to feel taken advantage of when I had everything planned out, was told all timelines would be OK, went to order set dress a month ahead of schedule then was told my timelines were NOT OK. Only for it all to go back to my original timelines minus the additional fees. Lastly, your store practice of taking advantage of brides who want a perfect day with no upsets is appalling. I am not as upset about the extra fees, more so the stress your store caused me in order to pad their bottom line. I am not arguing I am simply stating my experience. I was never rude to the staff and I paid all fees asked of me. I simply want other brides to avoid what I went through by getting all the facts.

Eh this place is okay. For bridesmaid dresses, there sample selection is very limited. They only carry two designers and didn't mention of any other. The woman helping us didn't even know how a dress was supposed to be worn and we found ourselves trying to figure it out .... But you would think with a very limited selection of dresses, staff would be educated on how it is supposed to be worn. She also never asked us what our budget was either, only when we asked try on a dress that was on a mannequin was when she asked us what our budget was. I honestly do not think the woman was that interested in helping us, she asked zero questions and didn't offer us much help.

I loved this bridal shop so much! I popped in quick to see if i could take a quick look and book an apt and the lady let me go see all the dresses immediately! She even explained that if you didn't like the top or bottom of a dress that they could combine with some of the designers which i find amazing. Their prices are really nice and the selection was wide not to mention the help from the staff. I was assisted by a lady named Tay and she had a lovely lady also shadowing her and they were both so so sweet. She even braided my hair so I could see what it would look like with the dress. I had the best experience with C&C. It was my first bridal appointment and I was not sure what I wanted at all Brenda and the whole team were fantastic (and so patient!) I then went away to think about it and found my dream dress in another store, however the staff in the other store made me feel very pressured! I spoke to C&C as I knew they carried dresses but the designer I wanted, but not my exact dress. I was able to order my dream dress from such a great store, where I felt so much more comfortable. When my dress arrived I needed lots of alterations, and sleeves added. The seamstress (I am so sorry I cannot remember her name!) worked some absolute magic. I could not be happier with my dress, I cannot wait to wear it in just over a months time!! To everyone at C&C, thank you so so much!

After going to several different wedding dress shops (and getting a bit discouraged), I went to Cameo & Cufflinks on a friend's recommendation. I had the best day ever trying on dresses - it was so much fun and the ladies working with me made it a fantastic experience. I was living and getting married out of town, (which can make it very difficult for a stressed bride!), and they accommodated me every step of the way. I would HIGHLY recommend checking this place out! 5/5 stars all the way!

I would not recommend this store for bridal purchases. I went shopping in January with two bridesmaids and our consultant was extremely unhelpful. I showed her the dress I had in mind by Sorella Vita and she said they didn’t have it and continued to show me dresses by other designers, even when I emphasized that I preferred the colour swatches from this designer. When we had picked some dresses to try, we barely saw her again. I was helping my bridesmaid into dresses and trying to pin them myself to get an idea of how they’d fit because the consultant was nowhere to be found. After an hour of terrible shopping, I finally asked her to please search for the product number of the dress I wanted to see if they would maybe have that dress in store in the near future, and big surprise, they already had it, plus another in the colour I wanted for comparison. After another hour we finally got measurements done, and they had to be redone because she didn’t seem to know what she was doing. I left with very little confidence that we would be getting the right dress in the right colours. In April, I emailed back and forth with Jess requesting ties in the same colour be ordered. She said she had put the ticket through and to “call in a cc number whenever is best for you.” I did not take this to mean that I had to pay before they would be ordered. Perhaps I should have assumed that was the standard, but I had made similar arrangements before where payment was made upon delivery and I didn’t question it. Now it’s three months later and I followed up as I was told they would arrive this month, just to be told they were never ordered because payment hadn’t been made and it is now too late to rush order them. I can’t understand why no follow up communications were made in the past three months after such a vague comment about calling in payment and some point or other. Due to terrible communication and service I will not be recommending this store to anyone

I had an incredible experience shopping for my wedding dress at Cameo & Cufflinks - they have amazing selection (especially Lis Simon) and fantastic consultants. I visited the store a number of times and was lucky enough to be paired with Roseanne. She is wonderful - she was so attentive to my preferences and particularities, and very patient with how indecisive I was. She went above and beyond and even arranged for a Lis Simon dress I saw online to be sent to the store from Florida for me to try on. I would highly recommend making an appointment and asking for Roseanne!

If you want service and quality dresses that you can rely on, do not go to this store. My friend is getting married and wanted nice bridesmaid dresses and had decided on a style all done via the internet. She discovered this store did stock this particular dress and called to ask if they could measure the bridesmaids to get custom dresses made. They assured us they could but discovered after the order was made and deposits paid that they were not customs but just regular sizes that needed to be altered. We could have ordered these dresses online, saved money and have a faster shipping date. After ordering my dress (which was 3 sizes bigger than my normal size) I received it 5 months later and discovered it was MASSIVE. Not only did I pay way too much for a dress that they measured, I had to pay more that the dress was worth to have it altered. They were very rude about their mistake and refused to claim any of it as their responsibility (apparently it was the manufacture's fault that all 3 dresses were too big). They would not refund any of my money and would not pay for any of the alterations (they make more money this way). I have never been treated so horribly.

After having had a horrible experience at another store (The Bridal Boutique), and deciding not to buy a dress I LOVED because the service was so bad, the service at C&C was a welcome change. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment on an early Tuesday afternoon. As soon as I arrived, I was promptly greeted by a consultant and the owner. The consultant led me to the back and started asking me about my budget and my preferences before leading me to the dresses. She explained they were divided by designer, and encouraged me to pick out some dresses that I liked. She also went around and picked out some recommendations that she thought I would like. I mentioned I wanted to stay under $2500, but that I could be flexible if I found a dress I really loved. She was very respectful of my price point, and brought a significant number of dresses I liked. I'm the kind of person who likes to try on almost everything, if only to eliminate dresses. I must have tried on over a dozen dress, and the consultant was very helpful and patient. She was kind, and made me feel very comfortable. The only reason I am not giving C&C 5 stars is because she had to take care of a customer over the phone for upwards of 20 minutes, leaving me alone in my dressing room. The owner was taking care of another customer, so I sat in on the other appointment and became friends with the bride (haha). I think the situation could have been better handled if she delegated me to the owner, so the owner could make sure that I was doing ok (while keeping her focus on her first bride). The consultant was very apologetic though. I DID wind up finding the perfect dress at HALF my budget ($1300), and I never felt hurried or pressured into a dress. Despite the phone call, this was definitely the best service I experienced, and I have been to 5 or 6 different stores in the Calgary area. I do strongly recommend Cameo & Cufflinks because when the consultant was around, the service was exceptional. Although their selection is on the smaller side, the dresses are all beautiful with a wide variety of price points and silhouettes.

This was my first bridal shopping experience and I was 100% pleased. Ida was so nice and so patient and very helpful. I didn’t feel pressured into making a decision that day. Because I am stuck between two dresses she told me to take my time, sleep on it, shop around if I want, she said I have to be 100% sure and I really appreciated that. She doted on me, bringing me jewelry and veils and really met every question we asked with a smile and a solid answer. It was everything I’d hoped it to be in a bridal appointment. I still haven’t made my concrete decision but I am certain it will be one of the two dresses I tried on here. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.

Had a beyond amazing experience!!!! Roseanne helped me find the perfect gown during my first time in. As this was my first time shopping I was hesitant to buy. I continued my shopping elsewhere but just didn't find the selection for my budget comparable. I ended up visiting the store 4 more times before actually buying and not once did I feel pressured. On my final bridal appointment, I brought my girls in and without an appointment they got them in and made great suggestions and we got their gowns too. When it came to alterations I found the quoted price of $700 high so I found a private seamstress who would charge me $150 less. This is where my bridal stress began! The seamstress totally destroyed my gown. I went back to Cameo in tears to see if there was anyway to fix my gown but was told that the original seamstress had cut the internal seams to small to re-adjust. To make it worse my seamstress would only refund me what I paid for alterations and said she wasn't liable for the gown! In hindsight I should have just paid the extra $150 at Cameo for alterations as it turns out if their seamstress had f'd up my gown they would have been responsible for the alterations and gown cost. So back to square one and with less then a month to my wedding (ekkk!) the hunt was on to find a new gown. I truly feel that sometimes bad things happen for the right reasons. OMG the gown I found off the rack was THE ONE. The owner was super sympathetic for my situation and sold me my basically new gown for an amazing price. Next came alterations, the lovely seamstress was a fairy godmother and worked overtime to get my gown done in under two weeks and it fits like a dream. I cannot wait to say I do to my man this weekend!

My girls and I had the unfortunate experience of this being our first ever outing for bridesmaid dresses this past Sunday. (November 12th 2017) A complete disappointment and waste of time because I refuse to ever return and give them the business of the six girls that I need dresses for. It was supposed to be a fun experience but instead was very frustrating. I had an appointment for 12:00 and we were shown to an area with a few fitting rooms and introduced to our consultant. I don’t recall her name, which is a shame and likely to do with how little we saw her. We realized we were double booked with another appointment, and she took off to assist the other one and never returned. We were there for forty five minutes and she checked in once and was promptly gone again. When we had questions she was no where to be found. When one of my girls wanted to find a bathroom, she was no where to be found. When we had finished trying on the dresses that we had picked out without ANY assistance or suggestions from her, she was no where to be found. And finally when my girls had gotten dressed and we had picked out our favorites that we wanted them to take note of so we could come back and try them on again, we received no help. We waited around a few more minutes hoping she would come back so answer a few questions and write down the dresses we liked but she never did. We left without saying a word because there was no one to acknowledge us. And it’s likely that nobody noticed our absence till the end of our ‘appointment.’ They should be ashamed of what they call customer service. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Edit Update: I was messaged privately by the owner who was very kind and apologetic about the experience. She offered another appointment for redemption and my girls ultimately made the decision to return. In the end I had one bridesmaid find a dress and I felt it was absolutely necessary to update the review to reflect better on the experience that we had following that first appointment. I was only there for the another try on appointment but the woman that helped us out, I think the owner's mom(?) Was very sweet and hands on as well as helpful to find new options that we had not seen previously. Ultimately everything went much better and I really do think that my first experience is not an overly common experience. They have a lovely selection here at competitive prices and I would return if I were a bridesmaid in another wedding party.

Went here a week ago in search of a bridesmaid dress for a beach wedding in August. It will have to be something off the racks given the timeframe that I have. Was feeling a bit stressed but the ladies here were so helpful. They searched up the whole store for dresses and even from the back/stock room. I had quite a negative experience at this boutique. I found the sales person not very personable. My group likes to joke and laugh and she wasn't interested in joining us whatsoever. She never failed to point out every flaw in my body (ie: you have very broad shoulders, are you weight lifter?; you don't like this dress? Well at least we were able to fit you in it etc. Etc.) I felt very body shamed; I am not tiny but I am not overweight... Every other boutique I have been to have been so lovely to me. We used the experience to make a joke but I really wish I had never stepped foot in this boutique

AMAZING service. Brenda was absolutely wonderful! We went in last night for an appt (which went a few minutes longer than planned). She found exactly what I was looking for. I still have 2 dresses I can't decide between but she was so helpful and is extremely educated about designers, ways to change the dress, colors, etc. I was blown away with my experience. My mom and 2 sisters said that Cameo & Cufflinks was also their favourite boutique from the whole day. We had a very bad experience at David's Bridal so went in with a gloomy feel to dress shopping and she changed our whole experience. Already booked my next appt to go back and bring a few others to see the 2 dresses I can't decide between. With the whole covid thing going on as well, she didn't make us feel unwanted like some other places did. It was nice that we still felt appreciated, welcome and safe in her boutique.

After having gone to a number of other 'bridal' shops in town, my sister-in-law and I were so very pleased with the professionalism and kindness extended to us during our impromptu visit to Cameo & Cufflinks. The consultants seemed courteous, knowledgeable and not at all pushy (or mean as we'd encountered in other stores before). My sister-in-law even ended up finding a dress which had several conditions (ie. shipping, altering, etc.) that the store was happily willing to accommodate. I will most definitely recommend this store for anyone looking for a bridal or evening gown.

I wouldn't recommend Cameo & Cufflinks to any bride. I had the worse experience with the owner when I picked up my gown from alterations. I originally purchased the gown off the rack due to time restraints. Brooke was extremely helpful and even gave me 10% off to make the sale. During my fittings, I was told that the seamstress will fix all the loose strings and beads and make it look like new. When I got home and looked over my dress after alterations, I noticed strings and beads still hanging off my gown and I had assumed that it was just overlooked. When I called the store, I spoke to the owner who said that because I purchased the dress off the rack, that is how it comes. I told her I just spent over $500 in alterations and was assured it would look perfect for my wedding. The owner's responded by letting me know that brides usually spend $700-$800 on alterations. So 2 days before I left for my wedding, the owner refused to fix the issue as I didn't spend enough money. She offered me a refund if I returned my dress, but of course 2 days before my wedding I had no choice but to get it fixed somewhere else. I would avoid this store especially if you don't need any extra stress for your big day.

This is a terrible bridal shop. I have visited over 30 shops in several cities, between looking for my bridal gown, my bridesmaids dresses, mother of the bride and mother of the grooms dresses, and in being in other bridal parties. And I have to say, this one has the WORST customer service out of all of them. The designer for my bridesmaid dresses is retailed at this store so we went to go try it on for all my girls (4 different occasions and at different times of the day and week), and each time was the same story. It didn't matter if it was Saturday, or Wednesday evening, or a Tuesday morning! We would walk in and browse around while waiting for someone to come up front to help us. There is a bell on the door and they were well aware that we were there but just decided to not come help us. I went to the back and specifically asked if someone could come help us with a dress. They came and stood there while we spent time looking through the racks to find the right dress in the right designer's section. She didn't say anything, then we had to specifically ask if we could try it on... then she just left. We needed a clip... and then we needed to look at the colour swatch... and then we had a question about sizing... normal questions... and we aren't tough to please. But it seemed like it was just one thing after another. We had to go to the back EVERY time to find someone. Then they didn't say goodbye or acknowledge us when we were leaving at all. SO all this to say... the service is terrible. Let alone the dresses are super over-priced. The one I liked was $300, and it is sold at other stores for $150. I also know that all alterations are done in house and I've heard this is really frustrating and way too expensive. I have found other places to order this dress and you can be sure I'll never go back to this store. It's just obvious that they didn't want our business, and you shouldn't give them yours either.

Recently rented 3 tuxes for our wedding, upon arriving the initial time everything went well. We got to try on all the tuxes, and measurements were made. However do need to mention that all the tuxes were not cleaned, found a cigarette butt in one suit. Second visit, when we went in to pick up our suits, this is when nothing went right. None of the suits fit, measurements were off, shoes ordered were not there. Sales associate apologized, and ensured that she would get the seamstress would fix it. Again remeasured everyone, and offered to deliver the suits next day. Once the suits were delivered, the grooms jacket was no it fixed (suit jacket was so short that the dress shirt cuff was showing more than 4 inches) this was one of the original errors and basically nothing was changed) at this time there was no more time to redo anything. Also the groomsmen pants were too long where it dragged throughout wedding, again nothing was fix upon the second visit. We made a formal complaint, was assured the owner would contact us, over a week now, no explanation nor call. Not impressed and would not recommend as the service provided is only seem good on the outside, but no follow ups or the willingness to amend errors.

I arrived at Cameo & Cufflinks today, and my first impression was really good. The place looked really nice inside and there was a good selection of gowns at different price-points. It all went downhill from there. A bridesmaid and I were told to put clips on the hangers of 5 dresses but not to pull them ourselves. The sample gowns really weren't in that great of shape (talking holes) so I didn't see what the big deal was. There seemed to be lots of "rules" here. The salesgirl helping us out initially seemed really friendly, but she either had no idea what she was supposed to be doing or didn't care. After I started trying on dresses, she disappeared! Eventually my bridesmaids were helping me put on and take off my dresses. When she came by to check on us, she brought a few suggested dresses. I tried them on, but they just didn't feel right. She responded by saying, "well, I just don't know what to bring you anymore." Uh, thanks. We resorted to going and pulling them ourselves when she left and didn't come back. I tried to grab her to help me at one point, and she quickly helped to clamp my dress, but then disappeared AGAIN. The thing is, the store was pretty much empty besides us. She kept disappearing to talk to another girl working there. Eventually we got so fed up we just left. Overall I can't really comment on the quality since I didn't (and would never) get my dress here. My recommendation is to skip trying on dresses here since they really don't make you feel special at all, not like several other awesome bridal shops in Calgary.

This place ruined my special day! My appointment was rushed as they "were busy"(how they justified it). Silly me for falling for the pressure and I ended up with a dress I was not fully sold on. It didn't fit well on my body and I was worried that it couldn't be altered to my shape. The girl swore they could fix it and that "anything" can be altered. Now, the dress was already at the top of my budget and when I asked how much alterations were she said 600-700. which is typical. I said that would put me over budget so maybe I shouldn't get this dress. She quickly changed her tune and said for what is needed to be done it would only cost "350max". Myself and my crew asked many times if she was sure and in the end we got it. Maxed out my budget but I thought it would be worth it. When I went for my 1st fitting(that experience was not good as well) I was told by Jess that it would be around the 700 range. After going back and forth with her with what was promised she said she would send me to another lady that works out of her home and I would only have to pay 350. So..... I went. Two weeks and fittings later and a lot of crying I was left with a dress that was unwearable. I have a all statin strapless dress. 1st fitting: she can hardly close the dress( it was 7days from dropping the dress off). The satin is being pulled in every direction and is no longer smooth. my sweetheart neck is only half of one as she somehow changed the shape of one side. Her solution? wear a jacket that she said she can make for me for $75. I'm crying and mad and this point and told her to fix it. So, I come back two days later to...... no longer having a strapless dress as there are now straps installed and a dress still too small( the dress was two sizes too big to start). I couldn't leave without my dress so I paid 400(she charged me more). Now 3 weeks before my wedding I had to go to another seamstress to see is she can fix what happened. Without saying a word to her she started mentioning all the things that were wrong with the dress. When I told people about my experience and said I went to Cameo & Cufflinks they were not surprised. Many of her clients had their own really bad experiences with them. General Consensus: Unprofessional, rude(manager), inexperienced. Avoid this bridal shop for your special day.

I had a short engagement during Covid so needless to say I was freaking out a bit if I would be able to find a dress I love in the time frame I needed it! And I did!! Not only do they have a great staff that’s super helpful and a huge selection of off the rack options. The dress I chose was a bit more revealing than is my taste and because it was created by a Calgary designer they designed an entire new top of the dress for me and had it back to me in 3 weeks! Incredible! And unheard of! I’m so grateful I chose to go to Cameo & Cufflinks.

I just moved to Calgary and asked around where to go to shop for my wedding dress. I was told Cameo & Cufflinks and decided to try it out. The store was really nice when I walked in and I was impressed with the service from the beginning. The salesperson who helped me really listened to what I had to say. I knew what styles look good on me and she brought me dresses that I wanted to see. I liked how clean and new the dresses looked and they seemed very current in their selection. The salesperson brought me dresses that I would have never have looked at and even picked one of those as my bridal gown. As far as I am concerned, this is the only place to go to in Calgary and I would highly recommend them to anyone. They also had bridesmaid dresses, fancy dresses and tuxedos. I will be back.
