Called into shoppers at 9:30 am to order an emergency prescription. By 3 p.m. the staff at the pharmacy still did not fill the prescription. The person who took the initial call clearly did not do their work...ended up insisting that staff call to fill prescription. Unbelievable that a pharmacy can be this unorganized and dysfunctional taking 5 hours to fill a prescription. Was told by April to wait...Ended up waiting till 3:17 without any service yet again!!!! One would hope that employed people would value their work!!! Were told to come back at 4 p.m. and by 4:20 p.m. we were still waiting! I think this location set a new world record for the longest wait time for prescriptions.... 7 hours.....whoo-hooo.. you call that Shoppers service!!! I would strongly advise those who need prescriptions filled....run....run far away. Go to I.D.A instead.

EDIT: Thanks shoppers for your generic copy-paste response. If you actually read my review you would perhaps want to speak with me. Oh well, hopefully someone will actually follow up with me and some of the other negative reviewers and address concerns with this store. There's a reason this store has a low rating. There was a 60% off sale on lindt chocolates (all varieties as per sign) and we picked up two bags, one milk chocolate (red bag) and one mix bag (silver bag). One of the bags (milk chocolate-red bag) scanned incorrectly. The cashier argued with us saying that the price was because it was a special variety which it wasn't. When she continued to argue, we requested the scanner code of practice (see photo). The cashier called her manager on the phone and spoke with her for a minute, then proceeded to tell us we had to come back in the next day because the product was already at a discounted price. We disputed this, and the cashier called her manager from her office. When the manager arrived, she said we had to call the store the next day because she doesn't have the authority to do the scanning code of practice. She gave us the correct price for the chocolate but we will be calling tomorrow. Throughout this entire interaction, the cashier was dramatically huffing and eye rolling, and the manager was no better. In addition, I counted six staff members working (three of which were high school age fooling around in the aisles, nearlywalking into me) yet there was only the one person working cash. Even during our interaction, where a line of four people piled up, there was no call for another cashier. Absolutely awful customer service and no common courtesy.

Honestly this one time I have ever complained about shoppers in Bancroft. I tried phoning about a question the phone rang for almost 20 mins with no pick up. I might go to another pharmacy. Why try to call if you can’t get threw

Brought in a one month prescription for my son. They insisted on breaking it into FOUR 'weeks worth' prescriptions so i would have to pay the $12 dispensing fee 4 times on one prescription. To make things worse - when it was time to get his 2nd refill - they don't even have it in stock!! Making an unnecessary detrimental break in his dosing. TERRIBLE

I come here often, and I enjoy it for the most part, but the manager is very rude when I come in. He asks stuff like "Are you gonna buy anything, if not you can leave." although I was only in the store for a little while, and he has ignored me asking for help before. The cashier's are all wonderful however, and I love the point system

Great pharmacy open until 10pm so if you have a late night visit to emergency at the hospital you can get your medications right away! Hats off to Jenna in Pharmacy for her patience and help in finding the right products and understanding a medical treatment program for a complex condition! Also kudos to Madison who was very cheerful and welcoming at the front till! Way to go!

Really impressed with the pharmacy at this location. I am always shocked at the efficiency of the pharmacists and how personable they are. There's a pharmacy tech that could use some sensitivity training amongst other things but as a whole this is how all pharmacies should operate. The rest of the store is just average aside from the gentleman in cosmetics who is awesome.

Wonderful location !! The ladies in the beauty department have taken the absolute best care of me. Always giving me extra samples and treating me like gold even in my work clothes! To the dude giving them one star because of them not letting a non patron use the washroom, what was wrong with the tourist bathroom 50 steps from the front door???? They have to deal with an enormous amount of junkies in that area bathroom restrictions are a liability concern.

I was just looking for lipstick shades, I am from toronto and i was there after my driving test and I'd say great customer service, shopping carts were all aligned and cleaned. thank you very much. Its open until 10 pm has a pharmacy obviously and that serves methadone which there are I don't believe any other than the Methadone Clinic that dispense locally. The girls are good n is not crowded which is nice. Very essential n important for our small community here in Bancroft

Had an appointment for my son and myself to get covid vaccine. Went in for our shots and when we got there, they said the vaccines had expired. Didn't get our shot. Now they won't even tell me any info on when to maybe come back. Poor customer service!

While standing in line to pay for my items, I sneezed and needed a tissue immediately! I spotted some small packs of tissue by a closed register so I covered my nose with my hand and left the lineup. As I approached the counter, I noticed a female employee busy with something under the counter, I picked up a pack and I attempted to open it with one hand. The employee told me I can't open it until its paid for! I moved my hand away to show the mess and she stated " you still have to wait!" So I responded with "u do see my face right?" She responded with all items must be paid for before opening! Needless to say I lost it!... I won't name her directly since I'm in a small town but she was the asst.Manager at the time. I did call to complain and I'm surprised that I never even received an appoligy from her!

If I could give a zero star rating, I would. I drove in from Whitney to find a piece of paper on the door saying the hours are 8-8pm now. There's never anyone in this store to assist you even when it is open. Anytime I have ever been in this store, I have to check myself out and then the speaker says "how did we do today?" I always laugh when I hear it and think that I have to shop by myself, carry my own items, cash myself out with no staff around. Horrible is my answer.

Four times, within a couple of months, I went to the prescription order counter only to be ignored (by one particular employee) until SHE was GOOD AND READY to acknowledge I exist. Got fed up and switched to Pharmasave. There, they greet you as you approach the counter no matter how busy they are. Simple etiquette!

Last week, my partner and I picked up prescriptions and some other items. After it was paid for Mr.Joshi, the new pharmacist, walked away without offering a bag to put my items in. When I asked for one he basically threw it at me and still walked away without bagging it. Today, I observed him yelling at the girls. I tell you, if he keeps this up he’s going to get an ear full and it won’t be pretty!

Two horrible experiences with the pharmacy. 1st my wife called to get a refill and they would refuse to do it because they messed up their own label and they were saying she was only due for a refill in a month. Took about an hour to fix their mistake. Another yesterday, my wife called again at 1pm to get a refill ready for 4pm. Get there, they say it's not ready and they had put it for the next day, then said they would do it right away and they would call her name, about 5-10mins. 25 mins later she goes to see if it's ready and they said not yet, then she went to look for her paper, couldn't find it... Turns out it had been ready for god knows how long next to the "pick-up" cash register. Serious lack of communication from everyone there. Good place to buy eggs though, that's about it.

Went to the store in Bathurst NB on St Peters and tried to buy some tresemme products on sale as per flyer. When ringing our items through there was no sale honoured. The manager was condescending and rude and said the volume for the sale product (only shampoo) was indicated on the store sign which was not true it was a range of volumes and a sale for "selected products" with several products on display below the huge sign saying SALE. If that is not false advertising why don't we all just empty our pockets for this greedy company who treats us like idiots. We will just give our business to Walmart since instead they don't have to lie to make a buck.

Although there is an employee at the cosmetics counter just inside the entrance doors customers were allowed to enter, wander around and line up at the cash without a mask. Not impressed at all with the lack of concern for COVID transmission in this store.

Was just in Bancroft Shoppers and there were no clean carts no one was wiping them down There were st least 5 employees in store when mentioned that there were no clean carts she didnt care. Asked to talk to manager and there was no manager on duty. The young guy on cash was doing his best but there was only 1 cash open and the lady in front of me bought a bunch of lottery tickets went in there to get a fair amount of stuff but came out with 2 cases of pop.

Had a sale sticker up for a shaver. When it rung up it was 20 dollars more. I was shocked that they wouldn't honour the price they advertised. I talked to three different people and they all had similar but different stories as to why they wouldn't do it. I asked to take a picture of the sale sticker. They refused which makes me more suspicious. I left because the last thing I need to do is lose my cool with some old ladies. But needless to say I think this store has a real issue with ethics. If you advertise it, you honour it. Its not hard. I won't be back

The store itself had very friendly staff, the pharmacy however seems to have many rude employees that seem stressed and act like they do not enjoy their jobs at all. Great place weather you're coming here to pick up some odds and ends or just a little grocery shopping chances are you'll find it and for a decent price as long as you keep in mind it's not a grocery store. They are also very fast on prescriptions as well and seem very helpful I gave them a four star as to the fact that I think they need minor improvements but overall great place two thumbs up.

Horrible. I recently switched to this pharmacy the are disorganized, rude and understaffed. I wait ridiculous amounts of time everytime. I actually had staff guide me on there computer systems so I could tell the next employee how to do there job if I came in again and had issues. I would give this pharmacy -1 star if it would let me. We had a big cart full of things today at Shoppers in Bathurst. Instead of using a cash (which we wanted) they directed us to the self check out. They also told us which items we should group together as we packed our own items. While we did this the 2 cashiers talked about their plans for the weekend. They were not busy at all. I worked at 2 different Shoppers locations for a total of 9 years. I've been both a cashier and Supervisor on evenings & weekends. This was shocking to see. I would of never behaved that way in front of customers.

They had a early black friday sale on Hp Chromebooks. I called the day of the sale to see if they had them in stock as we don't live in town and would be making a special trip for it. I was told by their customer service that they were sold out. My spouse decided to go in anyways and maybe find an alternative as it was for a Christmas gift. Once she got there she noticed 2 of the Chromebooks behind the register for sale. After asking the cashier if they were in fact the ones on sale and confirmed she wanted one and was just picking up another item. By the time she was back (5mins) the cashier had sold both units and told my wife she was sorry and that was that. She then spoke to the sales manager who said she would try to locate another one and would contact her by the afternoon. This didn't happen. When we informed head office we were given the impression it was our fault for not purchasing it right away and walking around the store with it to continue our shopping. You aren't allowed it until you purchase so we couldn't have put it in a cart. No wonder there's 3 other pharmacies in town. Very poor customer service.

An absolute exercise in frustration. One calls to get meds transferred from one pharmacy to Shoppers and it doesn’t get done. One asks Shoppers to Fax your doctor for a prescription refill and it doesn’t get done. One phones in advance to confirm that the scripts are ready, and gets told they are only to find out upon arrival that NONE have been filled. That leaves my wife having to wait and wait. Patience has worn thin to the point of no return.

For those that don't think that reviews are important me and my family just moved into the area around Christmas of 2020 and needed to find a new local pharmacist to take care of our prescriptions since my wife and I both need a lot of prescriptions and after looking through the reviews for the three drug stores in Bancroft we definitely won't be doing business at the Shopper's Drug Mart . Thanks to everyone that takes the time to review companies and the way that they treat customers!

My husband was needing a prescription filled on Easter Friday and I happened to call first. The woman I spoke with said they just closed. I informed her that the voicemail AND website both said they were open until 10pm on Good Friday. You need to update your website and voicemail so they are both accurate.

Do they ever answer a phone, trying to confirm the pharmacy did get the prescription from the hospital,my dad is on his way home from the hospital and needs medication wanting to pick it up before they get home possibly,this pharmacy is a joke show had problems in the past, time to switch them over to someone else in town that actually can and want to service the people of Bancroft

This is the most either understaffed pharmacy or disorganized one. They just took 22 minutes to come to the phone, and when I asked them to order in an over the counter medication, they said they aren’t the qualified person to put the order in but have written it down for the correct person. This is not unusual for this pharmacy, and what usually happens is that it never gets ordered, so I have to repeat the process until I finally luck into the correct person.

Like the store, it's just their checkout system is very annoying They are always pushing customers to use the self check out. I have nothing against self checkout , I use them at other stores. The shoppers self scans are not designed good, too crowded, too small. Its is very annoying to keep getting asked to use them everytime I go.

I've been a loyal customer for years and years but recently every time I'm ready to check out I'm asked to use a self checkout no matter how full my cart is. I don't mind using them when there's a line up and I only have a few things. Most recently I had a cart full and there were no other customers but 2 workers were waiting to direct me to the self checkout and while I fumbled and juggled my products they chatted and had a great visit. It was brutal and I'm done.

I am very disappointed with Shoppers especially during these Covid times. My husbands prescription ran out so he went to Shoppers to hopefully get a few pills until he could get an appointment with the doctor. Shoppers refused to fill the prescription, he had to see his doctor. The doctors office was closed so he could not get an appointment. Back to Shoppers and they charged him $15 for a prescription! Its not the money it is the principal of the thing. We have been patrons of Shoppers for years and since retired. All our prescriptions have been filled there with never a problem filling prescriptions. This pharmacist is very impersonal, instead of talking and explaining why he would have to charge my husband for his prescription he just whispered to the girl behind the counter something. He never looked at my husband or payed any attention to him at all. Now we have since called our doctors office and got an appointment..... Talking to other people in Bancroft we have learned that the other pharmacies are more personal and would not charge you for a prescription renewal like that Shoppers pharmacist did. For all we know he may have pocketed the money.....We have since moved to another pharmacy and won't use Shoppers again.

You need to educate your cashiers on scanning code of practice. A refridgerated item on a shelf with a price on the shelf is considered an item on a shelf. Your employee was very rude and argued with me over the item. The product and was not magically floating in the air it was sitting in the shelf.

Terrible. Had prescription sent in afternoon from another pharmacy. I followed up with phone call to say I was driving through and asked if it could be ready in about 2 hours. They confirmed other pharmacy and prescription details and said it would be ready. Arrived about 3 hours later and was told "we are just putting it together, come back in 10 minutes", so I wandered around the store and went back in 15 minutes, was told same thing, "we are just putting it together come back in 10 or 15 minutes" I went back in 15 minutes, was told same thing, 3rd time... "we will put it together right now come back in 10 minutes"... 60 minutes of of my life I won't get back..... due to other commitments I had to leave without my medication. Now I will have to decide if I go without or drive the hour each way to this or another pharmacy tomorrow. Take your buisness elsewhere.

Unfair and rude staff because I have been getting upset with my order every month getting later and later when I was told I had to sign to have my order by the 7th of every month it was after the 18th I still not ready Did not use and swear words dis not threaten any one did not steal anything ???? was told by a rude staff I could take my business else where and I replied back that I already was doing it was banned Knowing very well I drive seniors to and from bancroft to shop and stop here so they can pick up what is needed or I pick up as requested not only did I lose my job but cost me to lose my home for now wasn't working I believe this was an unfair treatment towards an unhappy customer that never should of taken place

Despite having a giant light up 5'x5' sign on their building that says "OPEN UNTIL 10PM" they apparently close at 6pm on Sunday. I was staying the DI next door and was counting on going here to get some food & drinks since it was within walking distance. The giant sign on the storefront lead me to believe I had all night to get there and when I arrived at 6:07pm to the locked doors and security telling me it closes at 6 I was quite shocked. Maybe remove or cover up your large, illuminated false sign. Thanks.
