I brought in a designer knit sweater with a run in it. Two other places said it "couldn't be fixed." My husband noticed Sherzad's Tailor Shop when we were at the Brewery Market for dinner, and suggested I ask them. The work was done beautifully - invisible mending indeed! I have some other vintage pieces that need that care and skill, and I will be bringing them to Sherzad's. Really impressed.

I went to Sherzad with two very different items: a pillow case that I admired for its attractive pattern and an old Burbour coat of my husband's. which had certainly seen better days. Though the items were very different, the outcome of both was the same: fantastic! The pillowcase became two custom throw pillows for our bedroom and my husband's coat became something dashing and hip (whereas before it had been sad and worn). Sherzad takes ideas and makes them a reality; he takes the o l'd and makes it new again. I'd recommend him to anyone..... and in fact, I already have!

The service we received was incredible, I am so thankful that we were given the recommendation to go here. Ontop of that, the selection of clothing is fantastic, and super fun. They also have an incredible selection of face masks for all the different moods and seasons. I highly recommend Sherzad's! Fantastic little local shop.

Normally, I would never think about modifying a Vintage kimono. So much hard work of craftsman went into it and previous owners took great care of it to preserve it, but I decided to purchase a vintage kimono and modify it as the dealer wanted it to be used as a material rather than being worn as is because of damages. It was a very difficult task to rearrange a kimono into a costume, but I was glad to find Sherzad's Tailoring Shop. They respected our needs and the material. Their handy work and design, brilliant ideas!!! were amazing and I'm sure it was not possible with anyone else. When I tried to practice with this costume, I was so impressed that my eyes were teary. Thank you so much Sherzad san and Rouba san You guys are sooo awesome!!!! I'm looking forward to perform with this costume and see you guys again!!! We definitely will ask you again!!!!!!!!!!

This is the best spot for tailoring in the city! I took an evening gown to them and within 24 hours, my dress was carefully hemmed and had an inner skirt totally replaced. Within the short timeline they still managed to find the perfect replacement fabric. The work looked better than the original. They knew I had to fly out and even worked late (I picked up by dress at 8:45pm) so that it could be ready for me. I am thankful I found them. They always greet you with a smile and want their customers to be fully happy with their work. Their prices are reasonable, especially for the work they put in! I know that the next time I need something done, I'll be in good hands!

Absolutely fantastic service - I highly recommend you choose Sherzad's Tailoring! Took my wedding dress to Rouba on Lower Water Street for alterations and she did the most wonderful job. Firstly, she is the most friendly woman I have met in a very long time. She always made me feel happy and relaxed - I could tell she knew exactly what she was doing. Secondly, she is such a talented seamstress/tailor and frequently spotted improvements I could not see. She was easy to contact, quick to respond and very welcoming at whatever time I wanted to go down for a fitting. Very well priced and fast service considering all the hard work she did. Sherzad and Rouba have worked on three commissions for me. A white, sixties style dress and two blouses with slashed sleeves. They had an excellent reputation as a tailor, recommended by several people. They helped me buy the right fabric, consulted on the pattern and have been reliable in assembling the garments for the various fittings. They work exceptionally hard, around the clock and take on seemingly impossibly tasks. I've had a few things made for me in the past and consider Sherzad to be one of the best tailors I've worked with.

I only get small jobs done, as I'm a bachelor with no sewing skills, but I still get great service as if I were bringing lots of high end work in. Great prices, the lady I always deal with is fantastic. One time I thought a shirt button was misaligned but it was in the way the material was crimping up. The button didn't need to be replaced in the end, but she took the time to show me how to iron that part properly to get the buttons lined back up. I recommend this place to anyone and will continue to go there.
