You can really tell they work on commission. This is a great place to go if you enjoy being ambushed the second you walk in and harassed even after telling the salesman you do not need his assistance. After telling the man twice that I do not need his help, he proceeds to follow me around the store asking me what I'm looking for, and as soon as I put my hand on a suit to check the material it's made of, he chimes in "That one won't fit you" as if I had planned to buy the first suit I laid my eyes on. Do not ambush your customers unless they wander in looking lost. I very clearly had an intent and told him with conviction I did not need assistance. A stern "No, thank you" should be enough. Not the only incident I've had with this store, but it is the most recent.

Had an absolutely amazing experience in this TipTop. All the staff (especially Corey) were awesome. Corey helped us with the wedding color scheme and went above and beyond assisting with every aspect including ties, vests, shoes & shirts. Furthermore he taught me how to fold dress pants properly, how to fold a handkerchief and care for the suit. Service is friendly. If you pay to have the Super Crease put into the dress pants make sure you check it on the inside of each leg when you pick them up to confirm they did not stop at the knee on the front. You have to insist that they extend the crease to mid thigh. This is because it takes them more time to do the front because they have a lining to the knee.

Had a great experience here! Richard, alias “Corey”, was extremely helpful and fun, he made the awkwardness of acting as a human mannequin bearable and actually quite enjoyable. Unfortunately ms.google only allows for a maximum of five stars, but in my professional opinion as a dignified and certified reviewer, he deserves a minimum of 13/5 stars (he humbly suggested a mere 10/5 but he was just being modest). Y’all should probably give him a raise or something. If I wasn’t a broke b, I would probably spend all my (or my mother's) money here. They also sell nice suits here.

My wife and I had an excellent experience at this location. Our sales representative Charmaine listened to what we wanted and understood shopping for a suit was the last thing I wanted to be doing on a Thursday morning. Almost immediately she found a nice, but inexpensive suit that fit me right off the rack. We got 2 dress shirts on a special 2 for 1 deal, so we have a formal white shirt and a casual blue one, and I got a tie that was on sale for half price. We were in and out in well under an hour. I would highly recommend this store, and most definitely ask for Charmaine, she really made our (my) morning!

I called to ask about measurement because my brother is getting married In Ontario. He is arranging the suits but obviously needs measurements. He immediately said oh yes if you buy suits at tip top. I said no but I will pay for a measurement. He no no every store has different requirements ..bye bye. I called Moore's and the very nice lady said no problem, no charge, it doesn't matter if you buy here. It's just a service that Moore's offers. Guess where I will buy my next suit.

The store has excellent collections and deals (some deals are very good compared to rest). Corey helped me look through the suit type, gave honest opinions on fit, quality of the material and even gave me some inside info about the competitors... alterations were good with reasonable pricing. Moreover, he has no issues giving Style tips, and suggesting different outfit combinations. He even took me to browns shoe store few shops down, helped me pick the right shoe type, right size etc... overall an excellent experience and would recommend 100%.

There is no doubt, TIP TOP clothing are on top. But i was surprised on behavior of trinity common tip top manager. I went there to return one pant and a leather jacket out of 5 which i purchased online. Instead of thanks for business, tip top manager was passing comments and laughing at their customer. Not sure what happened with him but I think if tip top have any objection to return stuff which we purchased online then either they should stop selling stuff online or give training to their staff how to behave in a gentle way to the customer.

Getting married next month and I've been procrastinating over what to wear entirely. Been all over Calgary, looked at high end and low end store's and still couldn't piece together a decent look, even asking retail assistants for advise I wasn't getting much confidence. Went into this Tip-Top store for a browse and got chatting to Corey. Within the 40 minutes we were there with him having a laugh, trying on sizes and looking into colour schemes and had ordered online. Thanks Corey! I was getting desperate and you saved me man! I'd like to say that the experience was great but it was anything but that. Myself, my fiance and another couple went there last Saturday looking to buy two suits for our upcoming wedding this June. After a not so warm welcome the sales associate did try her best to help us find suits for our guys, however, afte she quoted the wrong prices and picked out the wrong free ties the suits ended up costing $426 dollars instead of about the $100 less we were originally told. The debit/visa machine was down so the gentleman at the counter had to manually process the payments for our visa, this was where it got truly painful. He had to write out everything on a piece of paper, add the 'free' shirt and tie on, then subtract it all off, add on all the fees for the different alterations because trust me they don't do anything for free then he had to call visa to get an authorization, keep in mind all of this is happening and this man cannot raise his voice to a volume above a low whisper. Anyway, we got it done and were told to come back up this Saturday for the next fitting, and away we went. WELL you can imagine my surprise when on Tuesday two pending charges showed up on my visa for the one suit I bought, I phone Tip Top Tailors and I was assured by the same man that processed the transaction that it would reversed immediately, sadly this is not the case, it has been charged once and I still have the other charge pending. So I cannot wait to go up this Saturday to see what they are going to do for us as this whole experience has been anyting but TIP TOP!

Came in already knowing what I wanted. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Size fits well considering I'm a heavy set person. Pricing is fine. May not be the most up to date on styles but I believe they have the necessary products. I would recommend this place for to others for the professional attire. Absolutely the worst experience. Rented suits for myself and three groomsmen. All of us were measured- none of our items fit when they arrived 2 days before the wedding. One had to outright buy his own shirt, another had his Mother in Law alter pants as they 'ran out of time', another had to attend 3 days in a row to have his items properly seen to. Manager was far less than helpful - offered me a 25$ gift card after he got back from vacation - I told him to keep it. AS I WILL NEVER USE THIER SERVICE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. Do yourself a favor, go anywhere else. Long story short - the most stressful part of my entire wedding: suit rentals. If I could give negative stars, I would.

When I'm in my casual clothes, I honestly look like someone who only wears t-shirts and jeans and does not need a suit(s). I have been to many men's formal wear stores to just be overlooked or not even served because of what I said above. I really and truly appreciate this store because of how they treated me, their selection of sizes and their ability to tailor your suit/jacket/pants to you. Close to $500 later I left happy. Will be back in the next couple of months for another suit i'm sure.

I was in a real bind this week trying to find someone that could help me with getting a patch sewn on the spot. Everywhere I went said three to four days, and I didnt have that time. Then i met John at Tip Top. He not only understood how important it was for my son to complete his formal uniform, but knew my request was virtually impossible.... for most companies. He made phone calls... did everything he could, and totally saved me. For someone to care that much, when i had been turned away that many times, was so impressive. John, you are amazing. Purchased a suit with these guys. The right size of pants were not in stock and had to order the pants. Wrong size pants were ordered and was charged $17 to have them fitted as they would not cover the cost. The managers service was excellent and hopefully this is not something that is common as the customer should not have to pay extra if the item that comes in is wrong and needs shortened.

It wasn't based on selection or price. I asked for an equivalent jacket to what I had purchased a couple months ago, a house brand 48r. Was then taken directly past all the sale racks to the $400+ section and then told there is nothing else available in my size. I accepted my polite dismissal and decided to put back couple other shirts I selected and leave in contempt. As I walked back to the shirt area I saw in front of me a 48r Grafton jacket. I didn't even dig, front of rack location. So I picked it up with my shirts and checked out. Cashier very pleasant. Everyone has a bad day but generally felt associate just couldn't be bothered.

Fantastic service we received from Tip Top Cross Iron when we were shopping for our son’s grade 12 graduation suit! Corey was great, giving us personal service – we felt like we had our own stylist! Our son is so pleased with his new suit and was even more impressed that it didn’t take long at all (he really doesn’t like shopping)! Hem alterations were completed quickly and his suit fits perfect – he will look like a million bucks in his graduation pictures! Now, hopefully, there will be graduation events in 2021 so he can wear it more than once!

Had gone to look in the store in the past and had no issues. However when I went earlier in there today to buy a new coat, immediately someone came over to "help" and asked what he could do for us. He pointed me in the right direction however he was really rude and condescending that I just decided to leave the store instead of purchasing or deciding on a coat. I have never at any store felt the need to leave due to customer service. Real shame since clothes are good quality and nice.

I have never felt compelled to write a Google review, and let that serve as the first of many indicators that our experience with Tip Top was **stellar**! My son was shopping for his grad suit, at the very last minute, as you do. (eyeroll) He had a very specific lewk in mind. A particular colour, cut and style. TT was one of our first stops, and we perused the racks. An affable fellow approached us to ask if he could help. Upon hearing our incredibly narrow search parameter, he did his best to fill this request. And we found it! Buuuuut- it was not available in Picky Pickerson's size. :( We then proceeded to lap the rest of the mall, not once, but twice. We returned to TT, stared at the racks yet again, and then made another trip round the mall, in case a brand new store had been added in the last 17 minutes. Twenty minutes before the mall closed we stumbled, dejected, defeated and hangry... back into Tip Top. (For the third time for any who may have lost count) At this point, the aforementioned friendly gentleman took the lead. He could see immediately that the cheese was about to slide off the cracker- and he sprang into action. In a flurry of pocket squares, paisley and neckties, he managed to dress my surly teenager from head to toe, and even get him to crack a smile or two! Nothing short of a miracle. Grad 2021 was saved, largely thank to this man- nay, Angel Sent From Heaven. And after 4 or 5 grad gatherings... let's just say that suit has seen some things. TLDR; Corey the store manager is amazing. He deserves both a promotion and a raise. He may not get those, but at least he will always have our undying gratitude. Thanks, Corey!!!

First of I Usually go to this location because of all the great employees that work their. Today I had a lady named Cindy who went over and above to help me out. During this pandemic shopping has not been the easiest. My friends funeral is tomorrow I thought I would have no luck trying to get pants and shirt since I was so last minute about it. With curbside and online order picking usually don’t have the chance to grab it in the same day. She made it so smooth and easy I would definitely keep going back to this amazing store ! My son and his groomsmen got their suits for his wedding this summer. Great cut and quality, they all looked very sharp. The sales folks were great, very helpful and the sale they had on knocked the price from $450 a suit down to $290. Instead of renting they decided to buy one and have a suit to wear for other events after the wedding. Great investment! They allowed them to try them on which was very important. Other stores wouldn't allow this and you simply can't buy a suit without trying it on. Those stores lost out on business because of that. Therefore Tip Top earned the sale of 4 suits. Way to go!
