Long overdue review. Can't say enough great things about Jamal and his team! Great tailors who take pride in their workmanship. Not only was the tailoring exceptional, but Jamal's attention to customer service was beyond what you would expect (having experienced many sub-par tailoring experiences in the past, both in terms of customer service and quality of tailoring.) The age old adage applies here, that finding a good tailor is like finding a diamond in the rough. Thanks to Jamal and everyone at Sewing Legacy! Cheers!

Jamal is an exceptional tailor. I have been seeing him since he was the tailor at Sears in Southcentre mall. He has altered countless dresses for me over the years including my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses. He listens to exactly what you want and knows what needs to be done to make sure you have a perfect fit. My wedding dress was from a consignment store and needed so much work done to it. He altered the entire dress to fit me perfectly and added a belt to the dress that you would never know wasn't original. It was absolutely stunning when he was done with it. Jamal is a kind and patient man that truly cares about his customers. I always get compliments on my dresses, but it isn't the material, it is the tailoring that makes them stand out. Highly, highly recommend! If I could give him a 10 star rating I would!

I live in the northwest. I asked my dry-cleaner where I should go to get my wedding dress altered, and he recommended Sewing Legacy... a 25 minute drive south to Canyon Meadows. I was surprised that he would recommend a place so far from our neighbourhood..... but when I met Jamal, I immediately understood why. The whole team is professional, friendly, and very skilled. I was SO happy with the job they did, and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Jamal did all of the alterations for my wedding dress, and it turned out perfectly! He made sure that every last detail was right and was able to work with a complex material. He also custom made all of the suits for the wedding. For most of the groomsmen's suits he had to get all of the measurements virtually, but he made it work! If you need a wedding dress altered or are looking to get a custom suit for a special occasion, I would absolutely recommend Sewing Legacy!

Do not waste your time looking elsewhere, if you want top notch service and experience seek the help of Jamal. Any garment that you bring to him will be taken with great care and made to fit to you like a glove. From bringing in raw denim to shirt alterations due to fluctuations in weight, Jamal is your best option. Should there be any issues that arise (from my experience) you will be helped until you leave satisfied. Can't recommend highly enough!
