The Best! My entire family has been going to Anna's since they opened, in their old location (Oakfield Drive), and we would follow Anna to the end of the earth for her quality and service, fortunate however that when they did relocate several years ago it was only to 24th Street and 90th Avenue! Since my teens I've always been challenged to find quality well fitting garments, but had it not been for Anna and her team, life would have been more challenging, I've never been displeased. In my experience I've received exactly what I've paid for, and that is rare. I just picked up my wedding gown this weekend, after having alterations completed, and the dress fits like a glove now. Anna and Rosie were reassuring through out the process and always found away to accommodate me and my schedule. I would never recommend any tailoring service, before Anna, and I would be hard pressed to be urged elsewhere. I will say I believe that Anna's experience is unmatched when it comes to formal attire.

I brought five pairs of pants in to be taken in it cost me over 50$ a pair. Two of those pairs have seams that have let go and each pair of pants was cut differently from what I asked for. Some pants I won't wear and can't get fixed because of poor work. Waste of money if you ask me.

Wedding planning is incredibly stressful, but having your dress altered doesn't need to be! Anna and her team were tremendous! Appointments, fittings and last minute changes were all seamless. My shoes weren't arriving until 4 days before the wedding and Anna accommodated the timeline and had my dress hemmed within 24 hours. I bought a beautiful bohemian style dress for my honeymoon but the asymmetrical hem was a little too short in the back. I took it to my regular alterationist who said unfortunately there was nothing to be done to fix it. I was so disappointed because I loved the dress so much. I did some research and read all the great reviews of Anna’s Alterations and how skilled they are at the tricky alterations and if she couldn’t do it, no one can. I took it in an they were absolutely wonderful and applied a very creative solution and I am so happy with the outcome! I highly recommend Anna’s!

WARNING TO ALL BRIDES Anna's alterations screwed me, to put it bluntly. They charged me almost $600 for $100 worth of very simple alterations. My dress was held hostage so I didn't have a choice but to pay it and leave, sobbing, with my dress. Feel free to read the whole story below for context. I purchased a dress from Durand Bridal which fit perfectly and needed only minor alterations including a hem (on tulle, which actually just required trimming with scissors), a simple victorian bustle (three sets of tie up ribbons, the simplest type of bustle) and shortening spaghetti straps. Durand informed me the alterations should be approximately $150 or less because a) there was no beading or lace on the dress to contend with, b) there was no work being done on the bodice and c) the bustle would be simple. Durand had the price list that Anna's uses and the consultant was very experienced with both the type of work the dress would need and the prices. I dropped it off and Anna's and they confirmed that the dress would need exactly what I thought it would, but said they couldn't give me a price unless I remembered to call back sometime a day after or later to get a quote. I didn't call back because they didn't say the dress needed anything above and beyond what I was told at Durand and trusted that they would warn me if it was going to be extensive. Well, imagine my surprise when I return and they say it's almost $600. For the simplest possible alterations. The seamstress who completed the work was out at lunch so I couldn't ask her why it cost so much. On the receipt, they had scribbled three numbers that didn't actually mathematically add up to be correct and didn't actually break down the price. Durand added up the work they did on the price list and even that only came out to about $300. She just kept saying "the work was done, that's just how much it cost" and "we're too busy to call you with the quote so that's your job". No, that's ethically what you do. Mechanics do it. Home contractors do it. Literally anyone who doesn't have a set price will call you before the work is done to make sure you want to pay that much. The policy is completely unethical and relies on the fact that brides are busy with a million tasks to do so that they can charge whatever they want. What are you going to do, abandon your wedding dress there? They tried to blame everything on Durand, the salon that sends them so much business. Durand was furious and refunded me a small portion, but I still overpayed. Anna also took off about $80 and acted like she was doing me a huge favour. I was disgusted with both the services and their policies. I will be warning every bride I know to look out for these crooks.

Will never take anything there again. My daughter was blatentely taken for a $$$ ride. Took two spaghetti strap sheer inexpensive tops to be slightly taken in and shorten a bit. She went to pick up tops and the bill was over $140.00 !!!!!!!! When I called to enquire, a very snobby lady answered the phone and proceeded to tell me that this is a LIFE LESSON for my daughter. How dare she!!!!! I don't know who she thinks she is but someone needs to give her a swift kick life lesson. So..... if you want to get ripped off because the money in your pocket is burning a hole then go there. NEVER again. I guess the thread they use is made of gold!!!!!

After dealing with Anna's for 10 years plus, I went in yesterday with my first complaint. My husband had taken in a few orders recently and had some problems with service. Anna's initial reaction was that if he wasn't happy he should take his business elsewhere. What??!! She did not offer any customer service whatsoever, from simply letting me know she was sorry we felt that way to a discount to anything. She basically just told me to get out. Her partner in business came in and we started a bit of a negotiation. She told me she could fix the errors however would have to charge me full tag. When I once again explained the situation and sequence of events and asked for a small discount to be offered, she said "Absolutely not". She then told me she was reverting to Anna's initial reaction and that we should take our business elsewhere. These people were too busy to deal with my husband. When he took in his jackets to get pockets added in them he was left by Anna's partner with a lady who did not speak fluent English and thus the order was not taken properly and errors were made. Anna's however is not willing to offer customer service to a client who has been with them for ten years. I would never recommend Anna's to anyone. Steer clear of those ladies.

Anna's Alterations saved my wedding dress which I was pressured by a bridal shop owner into ordering far too large. They did an absolutely amazing job, despite the fact that I brought it in less than a week before the wedding! Welcoming and professional staff, and amazing work. When I think of how devastated I was by my dress before the alteration and the nightmare I went through trying to get it fixed prior to finding Anna's Alterations, I feel like I literally owe my wedding day to these amazing seamstresses.

I took my wedding gown to them to have the bottom shortened and to have the top taken in. My dress is a strapless ballgown and I have a very large bust. I was worried about support so I asked them to add some thin straps that I could hide for the ceremony and use for the reception where there would be a lot of dancing. I also asked them to add cups to the dress. It took about 3 weeks for them to alter my dress. When I put on my dress I was absolutely amazed! It fit perfectly. I do not need to wear a bra with my dress because it fits so well. There is so much support even without the straps. The straps also look great too. I'm able to tuck them away for the ceremony and then use them for the reception and they don't spoil the look of the dress. I am so please with their work and their great customer service. Would highly recommend.

Excellent work and great craftsmanship. The staff are friendly. However, it was expensive. I regret not getting a quote before I had the work done. I shouldn’t have assumed. I could have taken my dress back home to my usual seamstress (and where the wedding is located) for half the price.

Brought in my own lining and 4 curtain panels, asking for the lining to be sewn in the curtain panels. The sewing was good but i should have specified that i would like all of the lining sewn in not just the top of each panel. Each panel was approx 45" across and i was charged $30 per panel for a straight 45" line of thread. Very pricey in my opinion and when i open the curtains i now have pieces of blackout lining that are loose and look ridiculous.

I was a mother on a mission of heartache and panic to now find a new seamstress that could design my daughters wedding dress in under 30 days. I called and spoke with Rosie and explained my situation, in her calming voice Rosie said ..... this is what we do Toni please don't panic lets get more information and set up an appointment for your daughter Stephanie to come in. Upon meeting the infamous Rosie and Anne , we now have 16 days to pull off a complete alteration and redesign of my daughters wedding dress. Our previous experience for 7 months with the other seamstress was less then pleasant , unprofessional and a nightmare from the get go. Anne put her hand on my daughters back and said.... that was your past Stephanie you are here now , and I will finish your dress exactly how you envisioned it. Wow not only was Anne PROFFESSIONAL SHE WAS ALSO REASSURING TO US... MAGIC WILL HAPPEN ...AND YOU BEAUTIFUL GIRL WILL HAVE YOUR DREAM DRESS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING DAY JULY 16th. I don't even have WORDS FOR THE EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE PROVIDED OR TO EVEN DESCRIBE MY DAUGHTERS DRESS. It was flawless, extravagant , stunning and better then we had envisioned !!!!!!!! I WOULD recommend ANNE'S ALTERATIONS TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE . Our experience was over the top, all details were explained in great detail, fittings were scheduled according to work completion, and payment was expected only after complete satisfaction. So in my long winded story my daughters wedding has come and gone now, married happily 3 weeks .STEPHANIE was stunning in her GREEN yes GREEN AND IVORY DRESS a mothers dream come true and a daughters dream dress on her wedding day. For everyone looking for a great alterations place this is it! I had originally taken my bridesmaid dress to another alterations shop and was left with a dress that was still too long and the seamstress refused to shorten it again. I ended up finding Anna's Alterations, and from the moment I walk in was welcomed with a friendly face. Spoke to Anna and told her what happened and what I needed to get fixed. She agreed right away that the dress was still too long and needed to be shortened. It took only a week to get back which was 1/3 of the time it took for my other alterations. Will definitely be coming back for all future alterations.

My family and I have gone to Anna for over 20 years and have always been extremely happy with alterations. From bridal gowns to jeans, she does it all and does it well. Anna and her sister Rosie are both so sweet and I will continue to recommend them to family and friends. That being said, you get what you pay for, the quality of work speaks for itself. Never do business with them. Wedding dress, very minor alterations (it fit off the rack and I should have worn it that way). They cancelled my fitting appointment on short notice. I arrived for the re-schedule and they lost my dress and told me to come the next day. The next day they tried to give me the wrong dress. Dress was stained by them. I was presented with a bill for $551. I should have had a quote (my error), but the alterations were so minor. They never apologized for anything and don't feel that anything is wrong.
