We did the aurora tour. I have to admit that the tour is very well organized. They have a nice little hut where they serve hot tea and chocolate with cookies. The guide is very knowledgeable but his English was not the greatest. The tour is tailored more for the Japanese market. Unfortunately due to the cloudy sky we were not able to see the northern lights.

(Translated) We did not see the Auroras, the attention and organization are good however they must be clear when hiring a service like this where there are many chances that the auroras are not seen and you invest a good amount of money for an experience that you do not enjoy at all.

We went on 2 tours, Ice Fishing and Aurora Viewing. The staff are very knowledgeable, and professional. Languages spoken were primarily English, Spanish, and French. Well organized. We understand that mother nature is unpredictable, and that there is no guarantee you'll see the Aurora. However, the value for the tour if you don't see the Aurora is where our problem lies. How about some local foods like Elk, Bison, or Ooligan grease? Or anything really to add value, even if only on nights where nothing is visible. Even some cocktails or drinks to help pass time. I also seen tourists who only had cell phones. Why not have a photographer taking / emailing photos to clients? Even if its only the stars as the backdrop. Anyways, Ice Fishing was interesting. I wouldn't say fun, but we did enjoy it. Wish we had a longer time to catch something. Didn't catch anything. But staff brought hotdogs which we cooked over a fire to fill our bellies. The staff honestly made the tours. Helped with camera settings, and orientation of the Aurora. Hope my review helps and you get a chance to catch a fish ???? or see the Aurora ✌️ If my review helped, please give me a ???? Cheers! ????

Did two tours through this group. First was the Wildlife and Hot spring tour. Pick up from the hotel was great, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide (Jennifer). Really went above and beyond. Hot springs were an interesting color but otherwise very relaxing. Second tour was the Auroral viewing tour. First night there was a hiccup with communication and I was quite upset. The next day it was quickly rectified and you can tell they really care about each and every guest that steps onto their buses. Had an AMAZING evening with Aki, got some amazing photos and told Canadian poetry around the fire while roasting marshmallows. They took us to a different spot to see the lights so I was watching the sky light up while standing on a frozen lake. 10/10 thank you for making this the experience of a lifetime. Definitely recommend this tour group.

Tried the auroroa borealis door. Seeing the aurora borealis has long been a 'bucket list' kind of dream and I fully understand that the operators aren't responsible for whether or not it'll be seen but: *This tour takes place from about midnight until after 3 o'clock in the morning...You spend most of your time huddled around an indoor fire, counting the minutes, as you wait for them to call out "hey, I think I see some auroroa borealis coming out." At that time, you step out into the sub 0 temperatures to look up --and for us, we only saw--at best-- a white-grey mist that could've easily been mistaken for a cloud-- and THAT for only a minute or so between midnight and 3am... *No one is particularly helpful, friendly, or informative. *They do offer hot cocoa and restrooms-- not much more.. Heck, why not play videos at least-- teaching about the northern lights-- lay out books, magazines-- maybe even run videos of it in fictional movies like "Frequency"-- There's literally NOTHING to do for 3 hours after midnight--but try to stay warm and hope...

I have done 4 tours with this provider (2 nights of Aurora viewing), the Wildlife reserve and the snowshoeing. Overall, the guides are knowledgeable and friendly. Special kudos to Juri for his stories and to the Japanese guide (I am not sure I can write his name correctly) who has a real talent when it comes to taking aurora photos. The only issue is timing: the hotel pickup times are changed quite often without prior warning. And then if you are lucky, they will just call to your room from the reception, taking you by surprise. E.g. one tour was supposed to start at 13:30, but started at 11:00. The other tour was 14:30 instead of 13:00. And the next morning I was criticized for showing up at 4:14 for a pickup scheduled for 4:15, just to know that at some point it was re-scheduled to 4:10 (it was never communicated to me).

I wanted an adventure, so I decided to go to the Yulon alone. I got the adventure I wanted and it was remarkable. I booked a trip and multiple day excursions with Arctic Range Adventure including 3 nights of seeing the northern lights, seeing the wildlife preserve and hot springs, dog sledding and snow mobiling and it was all amazing and worth every penny ! The town is cute, has quite a few good places to eat, the people are nice and the environment is breaktakingly beautiful. Karin (bookings or customer service) was extremely helpful in doing my booking and schedules, so thanks !!
