I haven't had a haircut and color in like 6 months , was nervous to try a new salon as my stylist was busy got my appointment the first week of salons opening,and maya did my hair (I think she is a master or advance stylist), did an amazing job! Will be back!

This was the worst experience in my life. They ruined my hair for that amount of money, Maya works with multiple customers at a time. She does not pay attention, around her surroundings. I have a friend who had the same experience. Please before you go here be sure that you look at the reviews first.

I had given up on my highlights and have been struggling to get something that grows out naturally. Couple months ago I seen this stranger on the subway with most beautiful blonde hair. I had the urge to ask her where she gets her hair done. She mentioned Verb Salon and stylist Maya. I am so happy to have my hair done by Maya. She is super honest and works with real approach. It was worth all the weeks wait! Its been over a month I got my hair done and its just looking better and better. I cant thank her enough. I am so happy the way its growing out. Also the salon was super clean and strict with their covid protocols. I had my temperature checked and the gentleman open and closed the doors for all the clients so you don't have to touch the handle. I thought that was very sweet and thoughtful.

This place is gorgeous from the inside, and is always clean and well maintained. I usually see Maya, she is a maestro! One of the only people i will trust with highlights and major colour change, she colours my hair in such a beautiful way. Her colour always grows out so nice. My last colour was done earlier January and i was so grateful to have an appointment finally after lockdown. I wont go anywhere but here, the money is always well spent!

Discovered this salon recently after going to Civello's for many, many years. Verb also carries Aveda products! It's been a VERY positive experience. Timm, particularly, is wonderful for both colour (best I have had!) and haircut/styling. Also, they have online booking capabilities which is super convenient.

I came in on a Saturday morning without an appointment and no expectations of getting one. After the friendly guy at the front talked to the manager they fit me in on the spot ! Michelle was amazing ! She totally respected that I was trying to grow out my fine , wavy , hair . She did exactly what I asked for . Went in for a haircut with a junior stylist. The haircut was pretty good, however I was quite disappointed the blow-dry aspect. The stylist started with a very high heat, which I had to ask them to turn down. Their brushing technique was rather aggressive and I could feel my hair being yanked at. I wish I had said something at the time because I had a very sore scalp the next day.

Aveda products are always awesome so that is a bonus of Verb, but the staff is just wonderful. They are warm and friendly, the shop is beautiful, and they do an incredible job. Each and every person there is lovely. Once you go you will be a regular, believe me.

I had a balayage done for the first time. I have to say that I do not like salons in general so I was nervous. My appointment was on time and I was greeted very friendly. Maya took time to explain the process and my choices based on my hair type and colour. She was honest and detailed. She also told me exactly how much it will cost me (usually salons don't do that!). I love my colour! everyone here is so nice and care for you. Mike washed my hair and he was very gentle and kind. I also love their products (Aveda) used to dye the hair, natural based and no ammonia. I will definitely go back for future services.

Hair-dresser that works here named Kaelyn did my hair operating under s separate business "hair by kaelyn" completely ruined and damaged my hair. My black female friend who i sent to her as well, also said her hair was so dry and brittle after seeing her. Srsly do not recommend this stylist especially if you're someone with ethic hair or looking for a semi complicated dye job its a shame this salon should suffer cause I've only heard good things otherwise but i would not take the risk!

** updating my initial review. This is a follow up review. After I posted my initial review stating my dissatisfaction about the hair cut, the got a call from the salon asking me to come in for a consultation with a senior/advanced stylist. I gave it a shot. I was being attended by Maya. And she understood what I wanted with my haircut and also shared some good professional suggestions on the hair cut. After speaking at length about what I want, how i style my hair, products i use in my hair etc., maya worked on my hair. And I can see why is she customer's favorite. I absolutely love the cut and it is what I wanted. I appreciate the salon asking me to come to see what they could do to improve my experience! Changing my review to 5 star! I had an appointment for hair color and hair cut. The stylist was amazing with hair color part of my appointment. They were patient and understood what I wanted while also making professional suggestions. It was lengthy process since I was doing my hair after 4-5 months. The stylist took great care to create amazing balayage. However the only disappointment for me would be the haircut portion of it. I clearly asked for an asymmetrical cut with layers and a curtain bang/fall look in the front. I has also sent picture of my previous cut (I was intending to get the same) and showed them again at the salon. I asked for layers and the stylist said its there. It clearly wasnt. I'm not entirely happy with my haircut unfortunately. Overall, I will visit the salon again for color services as they were great with that aspect. The front desk is friendly and helpful. Mike was courteous enough to block good enough time for my appointment so I wouldn't feel rushed and that was really helpful as my appointment did take 3-4 hrs.

Had a wonderful experience at this salon! Went a couple weeks back with my mom and we decided to go with two junior stylists. I can honestly say they were very professional and we felt very taken care of. I wish I remembered their names! From the time of booking, the staff I spoke to on the phone was super professional and managed to accommodate my mom last minute. Will definitely be back.

I really enjoyed my first visit at this salon with Michelle so I booked an hair appointment in advance. My appointment was confirmed and when I showed up at the salon, they told me they had to reschedule my appointment with another stylist because Michelle called in sick in the MORNING. My appointment was in the afternoon and I spent over 2 hours travelling to this salon. They could have called me and informed me so I could reschedule. I am very upset at the fact that they told me when I arrived at the salon and went ahead a scheduled me in with another stylist.The receptionist offered me 20% off for my next service if I came back the next day. Unfortunately not everyone has everyday available. If I was the manager, I would offer the next cut complimentary. Unfortunately, I will not be returning back to this salon as this is NOT the first time this happened.They don’t respect others time and value. This was no excuse since my appointment was in the afternoon and they had known this since the morning. Very unacceptable.

I had a pleasant experience at Verb Salon. Maya did my bang trim and colour. Two things however that left my disappointed and out of pocket. 1. After agreeing on a quote with Maya, I went to the front to book the appointment. I spoke with Mike the receptionist, I specially asked if I would be charged for a blow dry and he said no . 2. Maya added another foil of colour without alerting me first which I would have greatly appreciated since I'm spending more. I understand that this is sometimes necessary but you should let the client know in the process. At the end of my service when paying I came to realize I was charged for a blow dry and an extra foil of colour. This is bad business and I will not be returning. I felt like I was left in the dark about the extra charges and the staff were not honest with me. I could have spoken up but I didn't feel comfortable.

Highly-competent staff for both cuts and colour, as well as makeup and Wax. I usually see Maya for cut/colour , but I should add that I have never had a bad experience at Verb, and I have been a customer of the company since Dec 2017. I sometimes book last-minute appointments (when Maya is not available) and have seen a wide range of stylists and colourists from junior to senior, and they are consistently excellent, offering a professional service and approach.

It is the worst experience ever. I was there for over 4 hours. They did something totally different of what I asked. They reacted saying that was better than what I asked, really frustrating. They had to put more colour on my head and stayed an extra half an hour. Asked for a discount after wasting too much time, they said NO. BTW, it was over price, over $300 for partial highlights, colour and cut. I have to admit that they were nice all the time. The just didn't do what I asked for. ..

The shop was very understanding as me and my sister were late due to traffic. They assisted and greeted us promptly as soon as we entered the salon. All the staff is quite helpful and friendly. They did an amazing job on my hair they listened very closely to what I wanted. I had desired for a big chop and she made sure to ask me along the way which parts I wanted more cut. They bathroom downstairs is quite clean and bright. Overall 10/10 with how good and quick the services were. Will go again thankyou very much !!!!

I was booked for today July 2 @ 4 pm for a hair cut. When I arrived I was told they do not have my appointment. The person on the reception said he will offer me time later in the evening as a favor because it is my mistake that I misunderstood the time of my appointment. Fortunately, I have call recording app in my phone and I went ahead and reheard the conversation with the lady who had called me to book me in. It was indeed for today July 2 at 4 pm. Its amazing how the person took no accountability of a possible mistake from their end and put the whole blame on me. Highly unprofessional.

I am so happy i got an appointment with Maya. First i went for consultation and then my actual appointment. She made sure i knew the entire process of balayage. My hair was super grown out and very thick. She was extremely helpful and guided me in the right direction in terms of what colour/tones would be best for my hair and I am very happy with the results.
