I had an awful experience today at Prayosha with eyebrow threading. I had a bad experience last year with one of the girls but thought I'd give them another chance because I needed them done last minute. I told them I wanted my eyebrows cleaned up and was very clear about that. They decided to make a new shape and took off half of my eyebrow. They don't listen when you tell them what you are looking for, and the worst part is they never apologized after I left the salon extremely upset. Don't waste your time here. Find another salon.

I would not recommend this place at all. Staff were very unfriendly and they did a terrible job on my eyebrow wax. I was very clear that I was only looking for a clean up and trim and that I wanted her to keep the shape. The woman rushed through the service, did very minimal and careless trimming, and did not even both to tweeze any of the hairs missed from waxing (I had to go home and fix it myself). She also completely changed the shape of my brows that I have spent months trying to grow in a certain way. I normally am not the type of person to give negative feedback after a service when I am dissatisfied, but I did in this case and was met with complete indifference. It was cheap but definitely not worth it.

It took the girl less than 5 minutes to thead my brows. It was truly painful. I am very fair. She did above My brow on my forehead. I now have red welts. Below the brow ok. Why do my forehead? That is not my eyebrow! Burning and itchy. She didnt put the gel on afterwards. Very hasty sloppy work.

Horrible Service.. I have been to this place 4-5 times, the second time I went they gave me bad eyebrow shape when I asked for correction the lady made faces, Brazilian Wax - there was no extra care taken while doing it even after I mentioned my skin is sensitive and I was bleeding in couple of places. I stopped going there for Brazilian and changed to Fuzzy Wax. On 1st June 2018, I wanted arms and legs to be waxed as i was in hurry so, took a chance which turned out to be a blunder. They PEELED MY SKIN OFF and BURNT IT in number of places. I would never go here again. When I called to report it the lady at the desk was very rude and made it sound like I was lying. they never called me back after to resolve it. Please keep yourself aware of risks you are taking by going to this place. I strongly doubt about the quality of wax they use.

Stay away from this place!! This is my first review ever and you will see why I was compelled to take some time and write one! This was my second visit here to get threading done and my first time ever getting my entire face threaded. While threading, Vritika kept saying my skin is sensitive, which I'm aware of and suggested that I get my side burns waxed which I agreed to. At the end she said she cut my cheek because my skin is sensitive and was scared she will harm my face by waxing further. None of that made sense! I have got my chin threaded several times before and every time it was done with no cuts to my face and was less painful. When I got home, I checked my face again and realized that my face was cut in several places!! She doesn't know how to thread. Even if my skin is sensitive, isn't it her job to know how to work with different skin types?! Because they are considered "professional", we go to them for services and this is not the way to do it!! Just horrible!! I'm not going here anymore. Also, I don't have acne or break outs. These are cuts from threading!

Absolutely love this place. Been going almost weekly for just over 2 years. I've had the unlimited eyebrow threading which is an incredibly low price and amazing results. I've also had eyebrow and eyelash tinting done which I was very pleased with. It is a clean location. The girls are all lovely, good service. They are fast and do a great job. They know what they're doing and I highly recommend this place. I've been to several eyebrow places and had bad experiences and skin sensitivity reactions and this place is by far the best in Toronto. Not only is this place extremely cheap, but the services are amazing. Don't let the price fool you.

I went to get the waxing services done here. I have tried this place for the first time after reading google mix reviews. It is one of the awful place. The front counter lady with curly hair was nice.The girl who did my waxing was untrained and awful. I don't know her name as she was not wearing name tag. She is shorter at height doesn't know what job she is doing. I was telling her that its paining me and she is like whatever and ripping of my hair. I end off with bleeding my arm. I told a front counter girls its paining me and it never happen before when I do wax. The attitude were pretty causal and told me there is promotion going on 10% off on waxing services. Absolutely ridiculous place! No wonder why they are offering free discount to everyone.

I had first moved to the Yonge/Eglinton area about 4 years ago and was pained to have to find reliable vendors for my personal needs. I’ve always been a fan of threading over waxing and when I discovered Prayosha, I was elated to have reliable results at a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and even pre covid, my sanitation concerns were always met. If your a regular patron , they offer a free threading session every 7th visit. Depending on your hair growth, I usually visit 1x a month sometimes 2x if i have an occasions I want to clean up for. I even learned of eyebrow tinting during one of my visits & now indulge as needed. Definitely recommend!

I used to go here regularly for waxing but stopped because I found the employees inconsistent with the job being done. Their online booking is easy to use but no matter who I requested, I would just get the first free person to do my waxing. Often they would leave wax on my skin or hair was not waxed off properly so I'd have to go home and deal with it. I wrote an email a few months ago with my complaints but never heard back from anyone, so I guess it does not matter to management. In short - prices are good, but you get what you pay for.

Do not go here for Brazilian Wax!!! I booked an appointment yet I had to wait for the esthetician. She was doing threading on another customer and she paused what she was doing, told the customer she would be right back, and took me in the back to rush my wax. She completed the Brazilian wax in 10 minutes, which is completely unacceptable. She missed MANY hairs, and paid little attention to any area other than the front region. She was extremely rough, applying wax directly on sensitive areas that do not require waxing. When she was finished, she did not clean the wax off or apply any oil. The quality was horrible, I had to come home and remove the remaining hair myself. I have been in pain all day from this rough wax and I would never suggest this place to ANYONE!!! DO NOT GO HERE!

Really great value for threading downtown (vs. $2 in someone's basement in Brampton). Inconsistent shaping depending on who you get but good enough that that has become my regular spot. It's also usually possible to walk in and get your service right away, although by booking online you get points that contribute to an eventual free threading service.

Dark, old space. Woman didn't answer my questions when asked and pushed me back into the chair when I wanted to look at what she had done. Everything she did made me more nervous, the opposite of relaxed. I wanted to discuss eyebrow shape, but she did not understand what I was trying to say and just told me don't worry. But I was worried and she did nothing to try to discuss what she was doing. Now my brows are thinner than I would like and not the shape I want. Would not recommend. Awful experience.

Went once before and the lady did a fantastic job on threading and tinting my eyebrows . But the second time I went I had a different girl. She did an awful job. First, She didn't ask me how I wanted my eyebrows threaded, and it came out completely unequal. When I pointed out how one eyebrow was thicker and there was much more of an arch than the other she REFUSED to to fix it. Not to mention she tinted my eyebrows way to dark. It was embarrassing how bad my eyebrows looked. It was such a bad job that I went the next day and asked them to fix it. They were totally nice about and did fix it for me for free. It does look alot better now, however my right eyebrow was still a little thicker than my left. I asked the girl fixing it to to thin out my right eye brow to even it out. She also refused to listen to me. So now I have slightly uneven brows but I'm going to fix it somewhere else. Definetly won't go back or reccomend.

Would not recommend this place at all!! I usually go to Vaughan for their exceptional service, but since I live in the North York area I thought I would try this salon. This place had the same prices as where I usually go but very uncomfortable service, and a half fast job. I got their wax services but still had to go home to worry about doing the rest of the woman’s job. Definitely would not go there again.

The reception and staff are professional and friendly. The rates are extremely competitive. The Staff is super quick and efficient. Service is fast, especially waxing. Some of the ladies there are kind and courteous but some of the younger ones are rude, low on manners AND very inappropriate. I prefer they don't do the small talk, that's when the stupidity shows. Oh, and the robes they give to cover yourself are dirty, like they have never been washed. Suggest you take your own towel/cover up. The place itself is fairly well-maintained, the wax they use is much better than other places I have been to. Service is prompt, I have never waited more than 5 minutes, but I have always set up appointments.

I have used this spa for years it was ups and downs it all depends on the person doing the work because the staff are constantly changing but yesterday December 13th at 7pm it was a person in a hurry, who did a bad job and who was mostly busy reading her messages on your phone at the checkout. The manager should choose his staff better. I am extremely disappointed and I do not recommend at all.
