The staff was lovely and the complimentary water bottle was nice. However, I walked out with very sensitive and bleeding cuticles. On a few of my fingers they even cut farther than my cuticle and cut skin. My fingers were bleeding the next day as well. It wasn’t painful, but I shouldn’t have bled.

After today i wish i could give this "business" a zero. My co-worker and I went to get our nails done where i was informed because i wrote a negative review of their service they would not service me, this review was from March 03 2016 and i had all but forgotten about it. I had even been referring people to this salon because they generally did good work. So apparently I didn't have the respect to say anything to the owners face i am no longer welcome there. BEWARE PEOPLE IF YOU ARE HONEST AND HAVE AN ISSUE AND DECIDE TO LET THE PUBLIC KNOW THIS WOMAN WILL BAN YOU. MY REVIEW SAID THE NAILS WERE POORLY DONE AND RUSHED WHICH THEY WERE. THIS ALSO HAPPENED IN FRONT OF A FULL SALON OF PEOPLE WHICH IS SIMPLY MORTIFYING.

I came here for the first time after a bad experience at another nail place in Woodstock. They completely redid the nails, offered me water while I was there and, had very affordable pricing. The nail tech was so nice and chatted with me while I was getting my nails done, she was so easy to get along with. My 6yr old cousin came with me as well and they were so sweet to her l and did their best to design her little nails. 10/10 will definitely be going back!

I kept going to this salon because I had a gift certificate and they were friendly. But I got fed up with being burned with the dremmel, I even had my cuticle sliced with it. Polish jobs usually had bubbles or ripples as well. The final straw was when they failed to book my appointment and told me id have to wait an hour or two.

First time there, will check it out again for sure. ***EDITED APRIL 22 2019*** They only still have one star because I can't take it away! I most definitely will NOT be going back after service friends of mine had on the weekend.. after 2 of them booking TOGETHER for a slightly time sensitive appointment, they weren't seated together and were interrupted so many times that a Mani/pedi took over 2 1/2 hours making my one friend late for her other engagement by an hour.

Moving here 7 months ago Solar Nails was mentioned to me by a resident of Woodstock. I gave this establishment 3 chances. Same person (who I will say is friendly) did my nails and three times I had the shellac peel with in hours. First time was just before Christmas and luckily enough I was in Guelph on Christmas eve and a place there fixed it for me. This last time every nail peeled off within 4 hours. Than 9 hours later the regular polish on my feet smudged. I took my nail and scraped it off. Apparently it was still wet. The next day I called Terry and the conversation with her was disgusting. I did not hear sympathy in her voice nor an apology. What did I get, "So what do you want me to do". That is PR at its best. I wanted it fix but after I got off the phone I was so upset with Terry and said to myself, well they got the last of my money. I went else where and was pleased that they took me right away. The new place could not believe the mess of my fingers and toes. Was advised which I mentioned to Terry was the problem shellac 3 coats was put on thick and not left under the lights long enough. The toes was advised that again the nail polish was way to thick and would take forever to dry. I would never recommend Solar Nails. The way I was treated I don't need them as much as they need customers. I have out the pictures of my nails on social media. Wish I could put up a picture so everyone could see it. But social media is a wonderful thing.

Amazing place I mayed the mistake of going to a salon in Tillsonburg cause we moved there and what a mistake that was. One week later I had to go back to solar salon and I'm so happy I did, they r so great there and really nice owners, I had a young lad and he was really good, took his time ect. I could go on and on but I'm sure I said enough if your looking for a great nail salon I highly recommend them. Very, very happy

Great work really did Like my nails. However, the sign in the store says $20 for a acrylic fill but when I went to pay it came up to $40. I was told the colour, length of the nail and if you had broken nails brings the cost up. Just a little heads up incase you thought it was just $20 like the sign says.

I’m so upset I went to get my nails done for a wedding on Thursday charged me for a ombré design wasn’t even a real design paid 73.45 for a pedi and shellac manicure that’s already chipping and my cuticles are bleeding and trimmed way to much

By far the WORST nail experience of my life ! Firstly, I told the lady I was in a slight hurry and I couldn’t be there longer than an hour and a half, she assured me it would be fine and they would be done in good time. Well, it was over two hours that I was there. I have been getting my nails done for over five years no, pretty consistently, and have been to a lot of places but nothing was ever this bad. Firstly, there was two girls bouncing between doing my nails, answering the phone, doing some paperwork, greeting other clients, and basically everything but giving my nails any focus. And it was worse because not only were they super slow, but there were other employees just sitting around! Secondly, the quality of the job. AWFUL!!!! There were bubbles, crooked nails, and when I would kindly point out that there was a flaw as they were going, they would literally just say no or ignore me and continue ! The polish job was so poor that my nails were pretty close to transparent even with a darker solid colour! When I asked for a design on one finger the girl seemed irritated and neglected to even attempt to do it as per my request. Once the job was done and I got home, my nails started to CHIP! Within a week they had all chipped and cracked, and there was no polish left, I had to repaint them myself!! After 7 days, they had eventually just all Come off ! I hadn’t been to this place in 3 years, as my first experience was very similar, and I will NEVER waste my Money going back !!!

All I wanted was my solar nails taken off, which I've done countless times in the past it takes 25 mins max. I made an appointment, was on time, waited for 20 minutes to be seen. The man got up and left 7 times during the course of taking off my nails therefore it took 40 mins. The tool he was using on my nails, the lady beside him picked up and started using on the lady beside me. without sanitizing it the man then picked up the same tool and tried to use it on me again. I said no and he tried to tell me oh no it's okay. I have never been so disgusted and disappointed that he would even try to touch me with that tool and then try and tell me it's ok. ???? if you value cleanliness this is not the place for you. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. GO TO POLISHED ITS JUST DOWN THE STREET ON DUNDAS, ITS BRAND NEW, CLEAN AND THE WORK IS ACTUALLY DONE CORRECTLY. NO BODY AT SOLAR NAILS EVEN HAS ENOUGH TALENT.
