I didn't get what I wanted partially because I booked too short a time frame unknowingly, but what I left with was pretty off base. I'm not really sure why I wound up with one odd highlight in the front in lieu of my initial request for full highlights when the base dye was being done. I have to get the highlights done on the rest anyway and now I'm just walking around with one weird streak up front until I can get in again. I felt a little blindsided by it but that may have been a misinterpretation of what was described to be the new plan at the start. Also, wasn't a fan of the stylist across the room, apparently named Kerry? She was loudly stating her opinions on Indigenous people to her client and I wasn't thrilled to hear, "Are they really disadvantaged? I don't think so.", come from her corner, along with a few other insensitive comments that didn't seem merited by the other side of the conversation.

As a longtime client, I appreciate Becky listening to how I want my easy to style short hair to work for my busy life. Each visit I leave feeling and looking amazing & always get many compliments. Becky also has a wonderful way of connecting to each person & is lovely to talk to. Thank you for always forgiving my lateness! I drive 40 mins to see her! One of the best in the city.

I had gotten a perm a month ago elsewhere in the city and it didn't stick. I decided to give Tonic a shot since it's close by. I saw Hilda and she was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! She knew EXACTLY what I wanted from a simple phrase! The other customers and other staff at Tonic were all welcoming and so wonderful to be around. I would HIGHLY recommend Hilda if you need a perm and I will 100% be going back to Tonic in the future!
