My go-to place for mani's and pedi's. Facility is clean, the technician's are pleasant, professional, prompt and their work lasts. I can often call and get an appointment the same day, and parking never seems to be an issue.

Absolutely incredible experience. This salon features an initial "aromatherapy" and scalp massage service (included in the price of course) that completely relaxed me and made the entire rest of the cut downright enjoyable. The stylists here are competent, respectful, and receptive - they truly listen to what you'd like from your hair and achieve whatever image you'd like. And the prices are competitive with all other salons! Would recommend and will be returning!

Great service and very decent prices for cuts. Offer a short massage to relax before wash/cut. Also they have a small assortment of wines for pre-cut if you arrive early.

I am not a client of Essentique but stop in on occasion to purchase Aveda Products. What makes me very uncomfortable is being rushed and surrounded by staff. In the past, I've told them I don't need help finding product. Staff insist on placing anything I plan to purchase at the cash register. I'm left feeling confused as I don't need 4-5 people to surround me when pick out items. I won't purchase from this salon again.

I usually go to Essentique on St. Mary's but this salon is closer to my house so I tried this salon on a few occasions. I have been attending Essentique for almost two years. The first time was great so I made another appointment. On that appointment date, they lost my appointment and could not find a way to accommodate me. On the second occasion, I called a month in advance to book an appointment for my engagement photos and they called me three days prior telling me the salon would be closed that day. I called them earlier that week to confirm my appointment. Very unprofessional and disorganized staff. Definitely not the same caliber of associates working at this location compared to St. Mary's.

I have been only to Essentique twice so far and I would gladly go back again! (the Adcadmey Location) My first time, I went to the St.Marys Location and at first it was good but than not so great experience. I choose Essentique in the first place because of the reviews online. I haven’t dyed my hair in over two years and I thought I go back to red hair because I was red before (my original hair is brown). At the St.Marys location the people are very nice, it was just the overall technique wasn’t there. When I got the red hair done, the vibrant colour was beautiful. The downside was I had so much dye across my forehead and around my ears. I was going to a Halloween Social that same night and I didn’t want people staring at me. I did try to hint at the hairdresser about the red stain on my forehead (or expect her to fix the issue) and she did not acknowledge it. I had to go to the grocery store after and pick up lemon juice to get rid of the dye on my forehead myself. The first time I washed my hair so much dye (and I mean more than normal) was coming out of my hair. For a whole week, lots of dye kept coming out. Onto the second week, the dye was still coming out but not as much, but my towels were still red. Close to the end of the second week, I saw myself that the vibrant colour wasn’t there and my mom even pointed out the colour was just washing out. When I got my hair colour red before, it lasted me a full month before losing the colour. Obviously, not happy at this point. I did reach out from email about my issue. The hairdresser at the St.Marys location should of told me about washing my hair in cold water to keep my red hair from losing it’s colour or other tips to help me out. The manager than called me after a couple emails I sent out to help out my issue by re-fixing my hair for free. I went to Academy Location to get re-fixed and I had a way BETTER experience than my first! The manager is SO nice and VERY caring about every client that walks through the door. The hairdresser that re-fixed my hair was AMAZING! I usually don’t talk much when I get my hair done, but I had such a comfortable time talking to her. She had such a great attitude and great energy! She gave me some tips about what products she was using and other tips to keep my hair looking beautiful. I especially enjoyed that the hairdresser knew when I had a couple dye spots on my forehead that she used a solution to get rid of it! I will highly go back and see that hairdresser when I have to get my hair cut or dyed again. I give a high rating because my issue was resolved really well! In the future I will give the St.Marys location another shot, but for now I will stick with Academy.
