Kennedy was awesome! She had her work cut out for her, as I havnt been in for a pedicure in a long time, like so many others. She did a fantastic job, she asked if I liked my colour choice before she fully committed to painting all my nails, which I really appreciated. It was super clean as usual and all the measures put in place for Covid made me feel really comfortable. I will be back for my next shellac spa pedicure with her soon :)

Went to the salon and got a normal nail polish manicure. It’s been a month after removing it and my nails are distroyed and the layers are ripping and getting separated. They have been growing and I noticed that they are not as bad because that part they used is now almost completely grown out.

Highly recommended!!! The service was exceptionally wonderful from beginning to end. The salon is extremely clean and follows all of the safety protocols. My service was offered by Bing, and she was so kind, professional and made my nails look absolutely perfect. I got a full set of dip powder nails done and I fell in love with the final results!!! I showed some Pinterest photos of what I wanted, and Bing recreated exactly what I had asked for! Amazing. Front desk was also very helpful and generous. I would most definitely return here!

Update: Almond bar called me and said that gel nails have a 2 week "waranty". Pleased with there customer service. Im busy due to exams so wont get them redone but am very pleased they read my comment and reached out. Old: Service was good. I booked an appoitment and was seen on time which was very appreciated. However my gel nails appear bumpy, have "wholes" in the top coat as well as one nail just chipped and I got my nails done 2 days ago. Very dissapointing as gel nails are suppose to last 2 weeks. I dont think I will be coming back here.

I have very over worked ballerina style feet as im always on the go and running and Bing did an excellent job bringing them to life and making them look pretty. Will defiantly be back.

I got my nails done here by Chloe, and she did such an amazing job! Super intricate (if I could post a picture I would), rose quartz style marbling, very small detailed nail art, Chrome, and rhinestones and she did it all to perfection. She made sure everything was exact and symmetrical, I’m so happy with my nails ????

very polite staff, clean and sterile. Vivian did an great job of the pedicure. The only concern is that the smell gave me a massive migraine. I have a scent allergy and it smelled very very strong of floral or lavender. I hate lavender/floral, worst smell in the world to someone with a scent allergy - Maybe reconsider the smell, it will probably be a while before I return, it was a difficult drive home with a migraine and the smell was in my sweater so I couldn't escape it.

My daughter and I went today; she got a shellac manicure and I got a spa pedicure. I’m happy to say the place is nice and clean. I was disappointed to see that they didn’t have massage chairs to relax in while receiving pedicures. I was also really disappointed with the massage aspect of my pedicure—the massage is the whole reason I even bother with booking a spa pedicure, otherwise what’s the point. I got a real quick scrub and very brief, too-light massage while I covered the lengthy elaborate scrub and massage the lady in the corner was receiving. Disappointing. It wasn’t a bad experience but I don’t think we’ll go back there; it’s not what I was expecting.

I haven't had acrylic nails in years and was hesitant to get them again. Overall I am very pleased! Samandeep was very thorough and did an excellent job with my nails! She checked that I liked the length and shape of my nails multiple times throughout the process. They have no white tips for French nails , didn’t look like she knew what she was doing ! I went home with clear tips even the top coat was sloppy but I will show it to people they can judge whether they want to go there ! Place is nice workers need a little refresher !! Disappointed! Sorry

I'm unfortunately not giving this nail bar a good review. I have to say though this salon is very beautiful and sleek looking one of the most visual pleasing salons I have been to and it is very clean which gets 2 stars. However it is extremely hard to book an appointment at this place and you have to book far in advance which in my opinion is inconvenient to clients and frustrating. I also got a fill with a simple design with regular polish and it took two and a half hours! That is way to long for something very simple that I could go to another salon and get in an hours time. To make things worse I got home an hour later and was eating something and noticed that my nail on my ring finger just sludged off!!!!!! This fill costed 60 bucks and lasted an hour time. The polish she applied did not seem proper for nails also she used paint not polish on my nails which probably mixed with the polish and made it goopy. I was really dissapointed because I was rooting for this place to be my favourite salon but due to the time problem...and the poor quality of work I will not come back to the salon.

The place itself is beautiful and clean, very impressed with the service when you walk in the door. I also like the feature of booking online. I got a shellac manicure which was OK, but my cuticles were trimmed excessively and a few of my fingers are red and sore (which I did not notice until I got home). I had a manicure done a week prior at a different salon which did not last, but I'm surprised that the lady today did not notice my cuticles were already trimmed short enough before doing them again. I am hesitant to go back but might give it another shot a while from now.

It has been a week since my first visit where I got a shellac manicure. My experience at the salon was pleasant, quiet and welcomed at the door. Though I'm somewhat disappointed as after leaving I noticed areas where it looked like there were deflated bubbles in my shellac and a couple nails are already chipped. I'm not sure if this colour in particular is old but I feel it should sustain more.

Gurinder does a great job, always paying attention to detail. My polish often lasts 3-4 weeks without chipping. The spa is very clean and I love that you can book appointments online. My 2nd time visiting. Great they could take me in on a Saturday. However, I had my nails filed instead of cut in my manicure. So I guess if you file your nails they don’t soak your hands to remove the cuticle? Not even oil to moisture them before trimming the cuticle? That led to cutting too close and bleed a bit. I expect that more at a lower end nail place. EDIT It's been just over two weeks and well, it's starting to chip - as in a good section of the nail polish is now gone?!

I came here with a bridal party for a wedding today. We originally had appointments scheduled, but over the phone they didn't ask what kind of appointment we wanted so we were unaware we had to specify. When we got there and wanted acrylic nails, they said they didn't have time for the bridesmaids and only the bride which was disappointing. We didn't have any time to go elsewhere since the wedding is tomorrow. They just assumed we only wanted manicures and had no more time to accommodate us. When I had asked about getting a design they said they didn't have time for that either. It seemed very rushed and we felt like an inconvenience to them. The bride also had an appointment to get her toes done and they didn't offer it to her, and sent her on her way instead.

I enjoy OUTSTANDING service at this most clean, well ventilated, stylish business. There are so many products and colours to choose from including very exclusive brands. I brought my husband for a pedicure and he was so happy with the results that he can’t wait to return. All the staff is outstanding. I love Muneeba for my nail service as she is very precise. The shop is locally owned by wonderful people who were kind enough to donate masks to frontline workers during the first wave. Every effort to maintain safety for all clients is conducted. You can feel very safe at Ai Nails!

This nail bar is the cleanest one I’ve been to in the city. Their equipment is sterilized in sterilization pouches. Not sure if they do this on purpose but having them open the pouch where I can see is very reassuring!!! Once a client was finished they cleaned the chairs, and sink. The place was spotless. Bing did an amazing job as well. My pedicure was so relaxing and toe nails look amazing. But the work she did on my acrylics were beyond my expectations (and I have high expectations). She finished in a timely manner but still had great attention to detail.

Got my nails done here last year. First off, the girl was extremely rough with my nails and they were burning so badly that I couldn’t even hold my hand in the light for more than a few seconds, I’ve never experienced that pain at any other nail salon. She just kept telling me to leave my hand in there and didn’t seem to care that I was clearly in pain. I asked for a pretty simple design, I showed her a picture of purple nails with a purple to blue ombré on one finger with some gems on top. She told me she couldn’t do that and that she could only paint them all purple and put a sparkle coat over top. They looked nothing like what I wanted. Their techs are clearly inexperienced if they can’t even do a simple ombré. Also extremely overpriced, I paid $80 for a plain one colour set when most other places are around $45 for that. The salon is very sleek and pretty, it looks so fancy and bright! Really pleasing to the eye. The staff offered me tea slash coffee, complimented my outfit and jewelry and was overall very welcoming. But what happened after that made me regret going there. I was in a pinch and couldn't go to my usual salon so I followed the reviews and this salon seemed perfect! (albeit out of my price range). So that's why I was really surprised by what happened. My therapist led me to a room and on the way there was stopped by her client (who was curing their nails in the front) and the therapist replied that she would be right there. This is relevant for the following reason: I was expecting a 45/50 minutes job, as it is how long it takes at my usual place to wax my armpits and for a full brazilian... I was out of the room in less than 30 minutes (this leads me to believe she did a rushed job to return to said client quicker). It had never hurt so bad (my first time was a breeze compared to that). The lady waxed huge portions at a time: I had to let out noises of pain it hurt so much. I admit the aftermath wasn't bad: my therapist was very thorough, gave me a mirror and asked me if she could do anything more. It was admittedly a very clean wax! However, at one point she pulled the strip of wax at a 90 degree angle which caused me to bruise pretty badly (not to mention a lot of pain). For my brazilian, she started with strip wax which I'm very confused about? I learned afterwards it really should not be used for such areas, but for less sensitive ones... It left me with a whole lot of pain and a sticky mess! I had to take several showers and apply oil to get rid of the wax. I have no complains about the armpits (that she did afterwards): compared to the first part, this was relaxing. I will not be going there again as it feels like I paid 76CAD to be tortured. Really not a pleasant experience.

I got a shellac French manicure and the lady who gave it to me cut my cuticals three times on just one hand to the point where I was bleeding and even after three days my fingers are still red and inflamed where she cut me. Not to mention the white tips were not evenly done. Would not recommend going back here

This is a fabulous salon. I wanted a special design on my nails that I had found on my phone and it would take awhile to do. Yun did a spectacular job. I used to live in BC and get beautiful designs like this but the place I'd been going to since I moved back to Winnipeg didn't know what I meant and had no stencils, so you either got a plain French manicure or a solid color. Yun was amazing. There was another girl who had done my brows and pedicure and had started my nails, he was great too but Yun put the icing on the cake. Super nice staff as well. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants a top notch experience and work well done. My Mom will also be joining me in giving them our business.

The receptionists were professional and welcomed initial questions. Johanna was knowledgeable, caring and gentle with my feet as I had an injured toe which was tender. I appreciated her calm demeanour during my spa pedicure. I also noticed that the staff had a systematic routine for the cleaning and hygiene which is important to me as a medical professional. I'm a little torn about my experience.... PROS: Super clean, friendly staff, my girl was really particular about getting the shape right, hand massage after my acrylic was done (never had that before), gentle on the natural nails. CONS: Somewhat pricey, took 2+ hours to get a set, had to file down my own nails less than a week later as they were way too long (though I asked for them to be short). Overall I'd recommend them as I had a good experience there and the place is super clean. Just make sure your tech knows exactly how long/short you want your nails otherwise you'll be filing them down right away. EDIT: After filing down my nails at home to make them shorter they started chipping and I ended up taking the nails off. So I likely won't be going back soon. On the plus side, my natural nails weren't super damaged like they are at other places.

I have found my new nail salon. I had a mani/pedi from Michelle today. She was phenomenal. This salon is clean and beautiful and the staff is super friendly. You can tell they all take pride in their work. One of the things I was really impressed by was the cleaning. I watched the staff disinfect everything thoroughly, even the chairs, after each patron. Instruments are autoclaved (sterilized) and things that can't be subjected to autoclave pressure and heat are single use. I really appreciate this as I work in clinical Microbiology. You definitely don't need to worry about your safety in this salon. Highly recommended.

She was either not trained well or not paying attention because she constantly fell off my nail and started to dremel my finger, like more than twice, at least. She also applied my shellac very lumpy and it does not look very good ESPECIALLY because I went with a matte top coat. Lastly, she applied jewels to nails which fell off <24 hours later. I've had better experiences...

The staff are all super sweet which is why I hate to write a bad review. I had gotten Gel nails done about a week and a half ago, but three of my nails broke within half a week... Now perhaps I could have been rough on them but I am a University student so typing on the computer all day shouldn't be considered rough.. I had went to go get them fixed but five days later one of my nails that the girl had fixed broke again... They do offer to fix them but its not free its $3 which is not a lot but spending almost $90 on them in the first place i'd expect them to fix it for free. Unfortunately I will not be going back or recommending the business I do not even want to go back to get my nail fixed again I am just going to let the cheap things fall off and head to a cheaper facility to get better quality nails.

Absolutely loved the service at this place. I had brought my mom who is elderly for a pedicure and had the service for myself as well. I really appreciated one of the girls (I didn't get her name), she helped my mom up a step and seated and helped to take her shoes off, very kind. The pedicures were well done with a nice massage. The place is spotless and the workers all were nice, although one of the girls working their could brush up on her customer service skills.

First time at the Almond Nail Bar and was pleasantly surprised. Nice atmosphere, clean and organized, if you want nail art, make sure to mention at the start of service but I still love the color I chose and not to mention there is A LOT TO CHOOSE FROM so good variety!!

My pedicure was 20 minutes. If I wanted a rush job I would have gone to Aloha. I did complain and the manager was apologetic and compensated me. I will try one more time.

I did my microblading correction and Michelle is absolutely amazing at what she does. My new brows have changed my life in the best way. Almond Nail Bar is a very nice and professional setting and they are great at ensuring you're comfortable.
