Came for a fill and left with worse nails then when I came in, it is almost comical how bad they look!! Polish applied far from cuticle and all over skin around nails by an amateur technician (owner had to keep coming to help), she filed down the skin around my nails til I bled and made my nails as short as she could which I asked to keep length. Polish bubbled it was so applied so thick. I went and showed the owner and she refused to refund or apologize and asked me to leave because they look “fine” when they clearly looked bad. She got very defensive and aggressive when I was not being rude, just simply showing her what went wrong. Salon is very pretty, however the staff was inexperienced. Owner does not care about her customers, there are many other nail salons in the area - do not come to this one!

Wonderful service. They did an amazing job on our nails and didn't seem rushed even though they were busy. We also felt the extra precautions they took due to covid were well executed. Will definitely be coming back and bringing my friends.

I love this nail salon. I've been here 3 times already and her skills and service really impress me. I'm super satisfied with results and love how long it lasts. It is worth it! Came here for the first time as I was recommended by a friend and I love my nails. I got a regular manicure by Tiana (I believe) who is the owner. We had a lovely conversation and she was very friendly. The place was clean with many polish options. Will come back again!

The staff were kind and welcoming but this salon is not plus size friendly. The chairs are not something I would recommend for other plus sized folks. I spent my entire appointment worried about the chair and couldn't relax. The tech made a mistake and did not apply a top coat to my nails before she sent me on my way. I was so concerned about getting out of the chair that I didnt say anything. Salon has a lot of potential to be a regular stop but unfortunately I will not be back due to not being size inclusive.

Great nail tech's. I go for a shellac mani & Pedi. I'm always happy with the finished results. Highly recommend. Clean, professional and kind. My only tip would be to have some better music/videos/shows playing on the TV. It is always on the same channel when I go in. :)

A nice place. They take COVID restrictions seriously. Temperature check upon entering the salon, a health questionnaire, hand sanitizer , hand washing sink, limited customers, Plexiglas at the nail stations. It felt safe. My feet are happy too after all of the scrubbing. The staff were friendly. I will be happy to go back.

Love my nails! Best ones to date. I didn’t have to say “I like them thin”! Why should you have to?? Friendly, efficient and timely. I would have given 5 stars but I felt it could be a little cleaner and I did notice rusty clippers (just to cut new tips but still…) and the floor could have used a little sweep. Not a deal breaker for me but could use a little attention to detail. I will go back. Base Coat is replacing my former salon - TV sitcoms playing all the time (that’s annoying). A sincere thank you goes a long way! Thanks Base Coat!

Tiana and her team are absolutely incredible. I stumbled upon The Base Coat Nails two summers ago and have gone back time and time again. They are so kind and so accommodating, and Tiana's artistic abilities never cease to amaze me. I bring in photos from pinterest and she makes them a reality. I came in to get a full set of acrylics done and brought my mom along with me so she could get a pedicure. The owner was able to fit us both in very conveniently, and when we entered the store she was super personable and very sweet. She’s done a beautiful job decorating the interior and has a passiln for paying attention to detail. My nails look amazing thanks to her hard work, and I will definitely be a returning customer!

My 15 year old daughter, Melody, went in to this place on September 5th to have her nails done as well as her eyebrows in preparation for the new school year. Her nails came out quite nice, but we would 100% not recommend this place for eyebrows wax and tinting. When I picked up my daughter, I was shocked to see her. Her eyebrows were lopsided and very dark. I tried to be supportive and didn't say much, however when we got home and she looked in the mirror, she started to cry. I called Casbah Day Spa, who we generally go to, and asked if they could squeeze us in to fix my daughter's eyebrows. We got in just before closing time, and the esthetician was shocked when she saw my daughter. Base Coat Nails had not properly wiped off the tint, so they had to clean that all up. They showed us the rag after they wiped my daughter's eyebrows- full of tint. Wax was left in my daughter's eyebrows and they had completely messed up the shaping. They'd also taken out the front part of her eyebrow completely, so she will have to fill these in for a couple of weeks. Casbah Day Spa immediately fixed this and my daughter's confidence was regained. I do not recommend Base Coat Nails for any kind of waxing or tinting, especially at $20. We essentially had to pay someone else to fix their mistakes. Love spending double the money. They are clearly not trained. Nails were fine though. After this experience though, we will not be returning even for nails.

I found this Salon through a suggestion on Instagram and I needed to find a new nail salon so I tried it out and wow! I couldn’t be happier with the service, the friendliness of the staff, and the quality of work and cleanliness!! Tiana, the owner, really went above and beyond to make sure I was perfectly happy with my nails (I’m a perfectionist and so is she!) And I LOVE MY NAILS and toes!! ❤️???????????? 5 stars in my opinion! If you haven’t visited this salon yet, I highly recommend that you do!! Customer service is more about how you handle a mishap rather than there never being anything that goes wrong. Really amazing!!! The customer service was amazing and I got an appointment right away (last minute calls are not a problem). The owner Tiana asked me every step of the way if everything was as per my satisfaction and liking and if I wanted anything changed or done differently. Even the customers are super nice, I conversed with them during the whole process. I got exactly what I wanted, the way I wanted it...and trust me that's rare! The services I feel are fairly priced. Free Parking is available but difficult to find. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND ????

Wow I have never been more pleased with the service I received, I am new to the area and was driving by on a Sunday, the door was open to The Base Coat and I popped my head in to see if they were open and they weren’t, but the owner insisted she do my nails, this really blew me away, she took care of me and did an amazing job! I love them, and I have to say in all the salons I’ve been to this was the most relaxed atmosphere, I’ve experienced truly a beautiful little boutique. So glad I found this salon! I had an appt scheduled for today with a different location and they cancelled on me last minute - I messaged Tiana who let me know she could fit me in at 6. (They close at 6 so this was super thoughtful!) When I arrived, the staff and other women in the salon were so friendly and it felt like I was with friends. I also work in the customer service industry and i can genuinely say that Tiana is amazing and cares deeply about her clients and everyone who visits the salon. She did such an amazing job on my nails and kept checking with me to see how I like them. The salon is in a perfect location, the decor is absolutely beautiful and my nails look wonderful. Our son sent my husband and I for the mani & pedi combo for Valentine's Day. It was my husband's 1st time and the first time I'd been there. We were given all the perks...full pedicure, a paraffin wax, foot and leg massages, shellac for me and then a nice manicure - all from a massage chair. They were right on time and very friendly and professional. It was so relaxing and we felt very pampered. Husband's feet look half the size! I would love to go again even though it's a half hour drive from home. Highly recommend :)

Really disappointed with my experience at the base coat. I went in and showed them a picture of what I wanted from their website and asked if it could be done on my real nails and the woman said absolutely. In the end, it looked awful and the nail technician said it was because it needed to be done on gel nails, and even though I had ASKED that right away, she still tried to charge me for an additional polish change when I asked to have it taken off. In the end, my hands did not look like I had just had a manicure at all.

This is my go-to nail salon and they never disappoint. The staff is friendly and everything felt and looked clean and sanitized. I've never had any issues with quality or timing. All I do is sit back, relax, and let them do their magic. There is a variety of polish colors to choose from. Like any salon, I would recommend calling ahead and making a reservation. Oh, they also offer snacks and water or tea too! All in all, this is a solid nail salon and deserves 5 stars for their quality of work and also customer service! I highly recommend!

Got a new set 2 weeks ago (UV Hard Gel) by end of first week: lots of lifting. I have been getting hard gel nails done for multiple years now and have never seen them all lift like this. Not sure if bad product used or bonder etc but would not recommend for UV hard gel nails. Really disappointed for the price paid, the product/service received was mediocre. I expect lifting after week 3+ but within the first week is horrible.

Went about 3 weeks ago for a pedicure and I have to say, I had heard a lot of wonderful things about this place and it lived up to my expectations. Their covid protocols are noticeable on entry, which made me feel very safe and comfortable. Fiona did a fantastic job and I find my feet still soft(ish) and it's already been weeks since I was in. The massage chairs are wonderful and overall a great visit. I will definitely be returning and telling others of the top notch service I had.

When I went in there was a group of teenagers when due to covid no guests are aloud. Then I was told I couldn't get the basic french tip set I'd wanted because the last 'set would show through '. Was very rushed so was burned by the machine multiple times and a few nails very bubbly. This is my second time for my kid and I to get full sets and won't be back!

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience at Base Coat Nails. I am not sure if the person I had was super tired or did not care. Had cold water, had to ask three times for warmer water. Cute my cuticle to deep and started to bleed. Was just so out of it. Used a soaking wet hot towel, had to dry myself with paper towel afterwards. No cuticle oil. I was very disappointed, especially seeing all the great reviews. Fine, the lady was not having a great day, but it was the manager who made it worst. Kept asking out loud to me if I was okay and happy in front of everyone. Explained things to me that was not relevant at all. Made me feel very uncomfortable and definitely not relaxed is a supposed relaxing environment. Then she starts explaining I have to ask for cuticle oil and such and this and that. I was very patient, knowing that I won’t be coming back. It’s unfortunate. Very unprofessional in speaking out loud in front of other customers. Also the floor could use a deep clean.

Beautiful decor! Professional employees who will go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with the end result and feel comfortable. Love how the space is smaller because it allows you to get to know the people in there! My first time there, there were 4 other clients getting their nails done and we were all talking together with tiana! It was such a wonderful, inclusive experience. I’d compare it to what you see in movies about male barbershops as far as a fun, community atmosphere goes. But just much more feminine and cute!

Absolutely no safety concerns, chairs were not 6ft apart, and chairs not sanitized appropriately. You were required to wear a mask but the manager did not wear one. The overall pedicure experience was poor, did not receive a massage and the full experience as others did. The technician wore gloves for only part of the pedicure and I question the sanitizaton. I would not return.

Five star nail salon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! Such a wonderful experience! My sister and I booked mani/pedis for our mom's birthday. All three technicians were very thorough. The pedicures included a leg mask, scrub, massage and hot stones! Highly recommend this nail salon, we will definitely be coming back soon! ????????

Friendly staff, affordable prices, and they are wonderful with kids too! I had the best pedicure of my life today and introduced a 4-year-old girl to the joy of a nice mani-pedi too! We had a great time and enjoyed being pampered without having to break the bank. Highly recommended!!

My friend and I got a manicure and pedicure here and the whole experience was great. I felt very safe with all of the precautions and protocols they have in place for covid. The experience was very relaxing - we decided to get the Mani/pedi that came with a hot stone massage and that was amazing. My hands and feet look amazing.

This was my first time coming to this salon- recommended to me by a family member. It was hands down the best experience I’ve had a salon for the price I paid. I called in to see if I could do a walk in and they were honest and said they were too busy to take me right away but that I could come later on. This I appreciated because I highly dislike when I have to wait around, I would rather have the honesty. The man that did my pedicure was incredible, it was so relaxing, he didn’t tug at my limbs when he needed me to move and he did a great job. They soak your feet, do a scrub, massage your calves and feet, do a hot stone massage and put lotion on. That’s a lot for a modest price tag.

Small and cute nail salon with great service. However, I was thrown off during my recent visit by the $20 charge to remove my acrylic set (by just flicking them off with a nail tip, no soaking or anything else?). Not only is that bad for the nail beds but anyone can agree that it does not take $20 worth of skill or time to do that. Very disappointed!

I would come back just to get my nails done by her again! -Cute shop decor -They gave me a complimentary paraffin wax treatment with my pedicure AND a mini OPI nail polish in a mesh gift bag as a birthday gift... So impressed with this place . I decided last min to get my nails filled today and my usual place was all booked . So I called around . Tiana fit me in . She has such a welcoming attitude . I’ve switched nail places before and they always try to pressure me to come back while doing my nails. Not tiana she even said to me “ who ever usually does your nails does a very nice job “ . Her motto is community over competition. She talked so highly about white rock and talked about other small businesses. Never once did she say anything bad about other nail salons . This is now my new and only go to place to get my nails done.
