When I first move in the area from Yaletown, Vancouver I tried about 5 different places for my threading and waxing needs. I thought it was a lost cause and accepted the reality that I would need to travel to downtown every several weeks until I visited Bubbles & Wax. I immediately connected with Val the very talented owner. Val gave me the VIP treatment from day one. It’s now been over 3 years since becoming a loyal customer and can’t see myself going anywhere else. She transformed my very damaged eyebrows into beautiful, uniformed art. My waxing treatments are quick, thorough, and very reasonable from a cost perspective. I would highly recommend having Val and her team at Bubbles & Wax be your go to spot. You can always expect exceptional customer service without a doubt. The location is easily accessible, extremely clean and professional venue.

I went to get a wax a while ago and at the start of the appointment things seemed very promising but quickly my experienced turned somewhat negative. I had booked in for a full leg wax and bikini but felt very pressured to get more services at a large up charge (mainly a Brazilian wax). If you aren't good at standing your ground and saying no firmly, I wouldn't recommend this location. I have had waxes at other businesses with the same amount of growth and had no issues with aftercare or missed spots before. I have experienced a much less pleasant result than I've had with other waxes while doing the exact same care before and after receiving my wax. I was made to feel personally at fault for any extra pain I experienced during my waxing as the person working on me would insist it was because of different things I was doing wrong, which regardless, felt uncomfortable and made the experience unpleasant. My requests were dismissed and I didn't feel comfortable enough to correct the person. I wouldn't come back to get this service done and would absolutely travel much further and spend more if it meant I wouldn't get the type of service I received. If you are unsure of yourself and anxious about being specific and firm about what you want, I wouldn't recommend this business.

I go to Bubbles and Wax and see owner, Val, for threading and laser hair removal (I also use to go to Val for waxing as well before switching to their laser hair removal services). Val is so professional and informative! I wish I did laser hair removal sooner - Val’s calm/friendly demeanour and chatting makes it over and done with quickly and the results from it have been amazing! I wish I did hair removal sooner and I know it will save a lot of money in the long run not having to wax ever again I’m very particular about who and where I go to for eyebrow threading (...as we all know one mistake and your eyebrows take forever to grow back) - Val is great at threading and maintaining the shape perfectly, I trust her with this, she has years of experience The place is spotless, has online booking which is convenient for my work schedule, and their pricing is on point!

I have had such an amazing experience at this location. Sana did an phenomenal job and made sure I was comfortable. For something that usually takes 45 min - 1 hour she accomplished in 30 minutes, didn't miss one spot, and also made it as pain-free as possible. Just had my very first brazilian wax done by Val, she was amazing! She was welcoming, very professional and is fantastic at waxing. I originally suggested hard wax and she ask me how come and I said my friend suggested it, Val really went the extra mile and tried both the hard and the soft wax on me. For me the soft wax was actually the better way to go! She was very thorough and made sure she got every hair! Definitely would suggest 100% to go and see Val at Bubble wax, both her and her staff are amazing. 5 stars!

I really like Val's eyebrow threading service and I only go to her. I always book my appointments and plan around her availability. This was the second time I showed up to my appointment and she was not there. I can understand things happen, but you should notify your customers, especially when they book with you. I received a call to come in earlier and I did, that would have been a great time to mention Val isn't available. In the past I have gone with whoever was there and ended up getting my eyebrows too thin. I am extremely disappointed, what is the point of having online booking if you don't follow it?

I don't usually write reviews. But I find it necessary to let clients know what to expect when getting a wax. They double-dip. For arms, legs, and upper bikini (pubic hair). But they do not double dip for the very private parts. She claimed the wax pot was hot enough to kill any bacteria. I doubt this. I prefer no double-dipping for any part of the skin. It's much better to throw out some sticks (applicator), then to re-use it. For a business that uses wax in their name, I thought this would be the practice.

I really do like coming my eye brows usually by the owner i Came for a brazillian from the other lady who works there and was horrible lots of hair missed the wax was super hot and was pulling the wrong direction which causes ingrown hair.. decided to go back for a chin wax and brow happen to get same girl same thing hair missed Sadly i wont return and go back fo luxe tanning to see ,my wax girls who are amazing uses hard wax and is amazing never hurts !!!

I had an appointment for a full face wax with Sana. She's kind and definitely has the best intentions for her clients. I highly recommend going to her. I initially booked a hard wax but my skin was not cooperating so she changed to a soy wax which was way less painful and she changed the price to reflect that as well!
