We've got all the opinions of people like you who bought the products and services of Ponds For People Pools & Spas (Spa) in Waterloo territory (Canada).
Nowadays the business receives a score of 3.9 stars out of 5 and the rating was based on 48 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is really good, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the valuation is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to give tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Spa corresponds to the category of Swimming pool supply store.
By far the best pool shop we've dealt with! Ryan Adams has been so patient and helpful in teaching us how to properly take care of the pool, Hannah took the time to email me a list of instructions as to how to open the pool, and Angie has been so courteous as to scheduling with me around my hectic scheduling needs. Highly recommend this company! Thank you guys so much for taking such good care of us.
They do not have enough staff so the wait to buy simple supplies is far too long. Twice I arrived at opening time and they had not yet opened.
The best pool people I have worked with! I am a first time pool owner and my pool needed work. I had previously contacted two other pool companies that had less than stellar customer service. I was left feeling frustrated and hopeless. When I connected with PFPP&S, I was greeted with friendly knowledgeable patient customer service. The young man that serviced my pool was also very friendly courteous and knowledgeable. He answered my questions and offered advice and diagnostic on my pool issues. I can say that it is easy to rate a pool company based on simple needs but when you are faced with pool issues that require quick response times and knowledgeable organized professionals Ponds For People Pools & Spas blows others out of the water (pun intended)
After a few months of planning and construction, Dave and his crew finished up our new in ground pool. Their commitment and attention to detail has been terrific and we are thrilled to dive in next summer!
Cheryl did a fantastic job answering all of our questions and made our experience a great one!
My go-to place for parts and chemical's for the pool.
Always excellent service!
I would love to give a review about there great customer service... sadly I have not received any yet. I called and got the answering machine which was understandable I'm sure this is a busy time of year for them. Two weeks later and still no phone call back. Last week I filled out the online pool opening form hoping I would get a response but again still no response. I was however instantly subscribed to there newsletter so I guess there is that...
Very friendly
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Also very friendly. They have all your pool and spa chemicals and other stuff you need. Plus a selection of spas in the showroom. Stop in if you have questions or just browsing for a new spa. Worth the stop.
Small neighbourhood pool & spa supply store. Helpful staff and a good selection of product.
Very helpful with our past water problems
Best place to get a pool and supplies. Great customer service and awesome people.
Good selection of pool toys, floats, etc
People working there are of no help at all
We did not have a positive experience with Pond For People Pools. During my initial visit to the store I spoke to an employee about a variety of things- pool fencing, pool alarm, maintenance etc. The employee took all of my information and said she would do some research and get back to me...there was no follow-up. I tried to call the store on multiple occasions but never got past voice mail. We then had our pool opened by the company- there were a few issues with the pump and heater. It took multiple days on 2 occasions to find out if they had the required part (which they didn't). After 3 weeks our pool still looked like a green, dirty swamp. I quickly called a different pool company, they came the next day and had the pool up and running. I will not recommend this company.
Always professional and knowledgeable
After ownership change – Ponds for People is the most terrible store to deal with. The Facts are: 1. The first winter cover we ordered had a 10 year warranty and only lasted for 2 years – cost to us back than $900.00+ – we urged Angie McColl to take the blanket and send it back to the manufacturer as it is under warranty - result – No reaction at all , nor did we receive our money back. 2. Then Angie McColl ordered another Winter Cover without having measured the pool – and it was an incorrect size. 3. Then we took the first Winter cover with our neighbor out of our garage and measured it, went to the store and provided Angie McColl the measurements. Then we told her if we have trouble again with this winter cover, we will send this back to you - and she responded that hopefully will not happen again. Spring came, the opening crew pumped out the rain water from the blanket and they wondered why does this take again so long. Once done, we all noticed that the pool was almost without water. Is Angie McColl expecting that a customer shall pay far over thousand dollars just like that, and then have to deal with the manufacturer to get the warranty issue resolved? When she it too lazy to deal with the Manufacturer to get this resolved and claim the warranty for the customer? To date the issue is still not resolved!!!! We lost a lot of money with this company! And she claims we owe Ponds for People the money, Due to that, they not only closed our account and we are not even allowed to purchase products in their store!!! BE AWARE!!! This is a very bad service. Our neighbor, dealing with a different company had the same problem and they resolved it promptly – no hassles to the customer. Then we choose another pool company (Pioneer Family Pools) – no problem at all – very nice and knowledgeable people to deal with.
Awesome and knowledgeable service and quality supplies
Easy to find what you need to fix your pool.
I really want to give 1 star. The service is really bad. They refused to full refund on the vacuum cleaner, only give back 50%. For the cleaner can't clean the whole pool, always missing lots of spots. They are so rude, bad service. Won't go there any more. Recommend the pioneer pool store at 74 Victoria Street in Kitchener, a much more professional store.
Very helpful ????
Cheryl is always a pleasure to deal with and very knowledgeable.
Very disappointed. I don't get responses and I have unfinished work that has been waiting for attention. Many problems with stonework and concrete and its only my 2nd pool season. The mess that was left is unacceptable but the owner has never came to even look at it. Coping had to be replaced after one season and they did it in late fall 2020. The worker was very unhappy about having to do the job and intentionally made a huge mess. There is concrete stuck to the bottom of the pool. Mortar all over the liner under the coping that won't be able to be removed without causing damage. The caulking needs replacing because it was done when it was too cold and when he ran out of caulking he tried to shove mortar in-between the stones with his hands. It looks like a young child did it. He chipped a chunk of concrete out of the deck and patched it with his hands and a very different color. Never was a level used when placing the stones and the existing adhesive from the previous stones wasn't removed. I was told by Dave when I paid the remainder owing that he would be out first thing in the spring to look at it. Haven't seen him. This process with this company started 2018. I asked for some money back so I can get someone to fix it but that request was denied. I regret paying in full but trusted he would follow through with what I was told.
Good hot tub store. Some of the staff are very informative.
We had Dave come out Sept 24, 2019 as we were having structural issues with the pool, and wanted to understand what would be involved to resolve/repair the pool. Dave had great ideas and we were looking forward to working with him, unfortunately after numerous attempts to reach him (emails and phone calls) over the past several months we have heard nothing back from him. We have been anxiously awaiting for an estimate. Out last and final attempt was this week. We called again this week and left a message for him to please call us either way............still nothing. We are very disappointed that he couldn't at least call us and tell us he wasn't interested in our business. Very poor customer service on several different levels. Marg and Jeff Heimpel
Communication is not high on their priority list. Had service come to help with clearing up pool and no follow up or phone call to advise the next steps. Like other clients have stated, when you leave voice mail, no return phone call. I stand corrected, they called me back instantly when I said I wanted to pay a bill.
Excellent service
Very friendly and knowledgeable service!
My friends just finished up their pool project with this company and raved about the quality service. We will be using them next year for sure!
Awesome people, very professional.
Called a week ago to book an appointment to have my hot tub looked at, was told by the lady on the phone she would call me the next morning to confirm a day and time. Three days later still no call so I called again. Lady found the notes about my hot tub repair and again advised me she would call the next morning with an appointment time. Again no call back and we are in the second week and my water temperature is slowly dropping. I guess they are so busy they don’t have time for my tub. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere
The staff you have working on site are a great bunch of guys, soo polite and informative, really couldnt ask for a better crew , water goes in today , soo excited, thanks guys!
We’ve working with Ponds For People for 11 years. They are fantastic. It’s hard to find businesses to trust, you can trust them. They do great work.
