The people here push their opinions on you in terms of buying products even though you have researched and know what you want. I went in wanting to buy what I wanted and they kept questioning it.

Wow. I've been to almost every single spa in KW, and nothing comes close to this place. Had full leg waxing with Jolanta, as well as a few other services. This woman knows her stuff. Waxing was extremely gentle yet effective, and she gave me at-home care tips for afterwards. Literally the only person who had EVER waxed my legs to do so. So very appreciative of her advice and the care she exuded. Talked over a few other services I had my eye on for the Fall season, and again, she was realistic and had SO much education and advice. I'd tell anybody to come here. The staff make you feel like they truly have your best interests at heart, and making a sale here for more services is not their bottom line. I felt as though Jolanta listened to my concerns, made recommendations of things to/not to do, and I felt empowered by all the knowledge she passed along in such a short time. Am looking forward to continuing to receive wonderful services here. Highly recommended.

Christine at Jolanta’s is AMAZING! I’ve been seeing Christine for years and she knows her product, and is calm and EXTREMELY professional. She knows what she is doing and I trust her abilities with her work! I definitely don’t trust anyone else but her! Went to this spa from out of town, because the spa I had an appointment for (that was sort of "closer" to my area) canceled because of covid situation turning their area into a red zone. ...Anyway, after extensive research of the spas that were in an area I went before/was familiar with (Kitchener/Waterloo) I decided on Jolanta's, because of the good set-up of the place, the plentiful services, and good vibes as I felt/saw on their website, and they have many good reviews. I was in dire need of a facial because of skin texture, pore, and extraction related reasons, so yeah I would have and did drive 3hrs for that and some alone relaxation time. Booking was very easy. Upon my arrival I saw that there were covid measures in-place, so that is good to see them taking such a responsible attitude. The place is clean, refined, fancy, and upper-class European looking, with seasonal music and items for sale. The facial service I received was very well done, very clinically correct and proper, and using all the right and up to par/professional equipment/tools/products. So for those reasons I would recommend this place, and say it's a good place to get proper services done. So overall I'd say this is a very good place. Three things that really bothered me though. 1. I was asked multiple times, and almost by definition interrogated, what I was doing in the area, and how that was a long drive just for a facial, if I was in the area for anything else, what I was doing in Kitchener/Waterloo and questions like that. I mean yes, it was very important to me to have a facial, and what the heck is it any of their business how far I drive for whatever, or why I go where I go, or from where I am?? And I mean as long as I am safe, and don't have covid or anything, what's it to them? No, that was beginning to frustrate me. 2. On the phone, after I gave a good explanation of my skin-care needs, and expressed my concerns, I was told that I would have/need the 2hr European signature deep cleaning facial (or whatever it was called), then when I was there and after telling the facial technician lady the same thing, she switched it to a acne cleaning facial (or whatever it was called); she told me that she would, but didn't ask me if I was accepting of that to have it changed, and but when I asked what the difference was she just told me, less massage. So like, yeah it's nice she told me, but can you ask me to make sure I am okay with having it changed, not just saying oh I'm going to change it. 3. At the beginning upon me entering the room I talked with the facial technician lady about my concerns and stuff, and I explicitly told her that while the facial would be taking place I wanted her to give me feedback on what are the good aspects of how my facial condition seems, the negative aspects, and how it seems I took care of it throughout the years and how I could have done something differently, and feedback going forward of what I can do do keep improving its condition. She said she would do that anyway because that is part of her job. During the procedure I had to keep reminding her to do that and asking questions to get an answer, because all she did consistently was telling me, "okay now I'm going to do this, and this does this, and then you will have to wait --min. and then I will do that." To me that was like half of what I asked for, and I had to keep questioning just to get the answers I was looking for, which I found very frustrating. I asked her the ingredients of some of the products she was using on my face, and she said she didn't know off-hand I was really, not too happy about that, and kind of concerned... I mean this lady works with these products every/almost every day and doesn't know what's in the products that she puts on people's faces???? Then they want to recommend a product that they have that I should buy from then and take home with me, but yet cannot even tell me what's in the stuff they put on my face when I'm there? Uh, no, no thank you. I'll stick to finding my own suitable products.

The most fabulous spa and boutique in Waterloo Region. Jolanta's Spa has the best skin care lines and services. The aroma therapy and reflexology services provided by Beata are the best in this City. Not only can you receive incredible spa services, but the boutique has the most incredible accessories, jewelry, purses and clothing. Every season, I head to Jolanta’s spa for my upgraded wardrobe. I do not shop anywhere else. I love the European styles!

They only use the highest quality products and maintain a top notch standard as far as professionalism. Everyone at the spa is highly trained, guaranteeing that you leave satisfied. I had my first ever facial treatment at Jolanta’s and it was a very lovely and relaxing experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the premises is very clean. Jolanta is very knowledgeable about different skin types and appropriate treatments and products for them. The procedure itself was incredibly refreshing and the products used smelled great as well. Jolanta provided information about the products she was using during the procedure, as well as other helpful products that I could try, and she made sure I was comfortable at all times. Really enjoyed it and I feel fresh and new!

Editing b/c can't repost an update. I've been going to Jolanta's spa for almost 3 years now. Even though I've moved cities and need to drive hours in, I still go in for my regular treatment. The facials are phenomenal b/c they actually perform extractions and provide recommendations without pushing product. They will highly recommend but it's to maintain the hard work that just went into picking your poor face ^^" haha. I also started coming here for laser treatment and it's been going very well. Original: My facial was done by Jolanta and she was fantastic at explaining what she was doing and why. She actually did a proper extraction unlike other places I have tried in the area. The store was very clean and well lit, and the staff were friendly and professional.

Awful service. They clearly don't care about customer satisfaction. I went to get my eyelashes done (after having this service done multiple times at a different place) and was very unhappy with the results, the esthetician did not listen to what I asked for and when I went back to get them fixed I felt like they didn't care, and in fact blamed me when I pointed out how many eyelashes had prematurely fallen out (almost half in just over a week), and the effect the glue had had on my skin. All that said, they refused to give me my money back. All they offered was a percentage off my next service with the same esthetician, who I did NOT trust after that experience. Spend your money somewhere where you'll be respected and appreciated.

I bought a package for both my adult daughters which consisted of a aromatherapy massage and modern steamless cleanse. They were both very disappointed with the treatments. Massages was very light and not enjoyable. The facials were not to their satisfaction. I chose Jolanta's because of the good reviews but both my girls said they said they have received much better treatments in other places. Will never go there again.

I waited for about two weeks before writing a review for this spa, because I wanted to see the effects of their facial on my skin (if any). My first impression was that the personnel were super friendly, explaining every step and introducing all the products they used. They weren't pushy about selling their products and I left the place happy and satisfied with the initial results. Now, after two weeks, and following their advice, my skin is visibly brighter and healthier. I will definitely go back to this place in the future!

I enjoyed a facial yesterday at the spa, with Christine. She did such a good job, and she really had her work cut out for her with the extractions. Christine was so kind, gentle and I felt she gave me the royal treatment. Typically it is hard for me to relax but I almost fell asleep multiple times. I am not much of a spa gal but they made me feel very welcome and the whole experience was so luxurious. Take some time for yourself and pamper your body, it will thank you for it!

Since becoming a client, I have always experienced a comforting atmosphere, exceptional service, and knowledgeable staff. It's an elegant space where professional care is rendered with every service offered. This spa offers quality skin care products from all over the world; as a result, you can be assured that your skin's needs will be customized and met - one line of which I have been using for more than 9 years now and love! After receiving my first service here, 3 years ago, I left feeling more than satisfied and with the need to return for a visit on a regular basis.

Had some laser hair removal, pedicure and manicure at Jolanta's recently at the new spa on Park street, and OMG!! Such a beautiful, elegant, inviting and CLEAN space. Those hours spent there were such a treat for me after having a baby and needing some ME time. All staff was very friendly and the ladies that did my services, Patricia and Christine are very knowledgeable and so gentle (almost fell asleep during my laser and probably took a 1 minute nap during my pedi). Bonus, had the pleasure of meeting Jolanta herself and she helped with my skin concerns after having a baby. Got some great European top of the line products that have been doing wonders for my skin. So happy I found them and gave them a try, it's for sure my new spa to go to. Next time I'm trying their 2hr facial with flower compress. Can't wait!!!!

I've been going to Jolanta’s European spa for the past year and am very happy with the staff – who are always friendly and professional – as well as the spa and medical services. The treatments I’ve received range from facials and laser hair removal to more extensive procedures involving mole and scar removal. After my facials/peels with Jolanta, I always see an improvement to my skin tone and Daniella does an awesome job with making laser hair removal as comfortable as possible. I am particularly impressed with the SuperFrecator technique for mole/freckle removal which is less invasive and more affordable compared to a plastic surgery clinic. My appointments have been with either Jolanta or Daniella and it’s obvious from talking/listening to these ladies that they have a lifetime of experience and are experts in their field. I tend to ask a lot of questions and these ladies are patient and eager to educate me on the specifics of the treatments as well as tips and recommendations regarding skin care. Overall, the comfortable atmosphere and the quality procedures keep me a loyal customer and I highly recommend this spa to others.

A luxurious experience for sure!! I learned a lot about my skin and what I thought was a very meticulous skin care routine. Not only are the products I purchased from Jolanta showing much better results than anything I’ve ever used, but I also learned how to use up the products I do still have so I see results instead of irritation. Though I was spending hundreds of dollars on big name lines, the difference in quality of ingredients is now very apparent. My rosacea has improved and my skin is looking more plump and hydrated. I can’t wait for my next appointment!!

I had an appt here for a pedicure, lip, brow, and chin wax. The person that did this informed me that she was the more the medical technician and did not do the pedicures and waxed very often. She was lovely, but I am not happy with the results. My feet are still rough and cracked. She cut my brows so short. The wax was really hot and when she waxed my chin, she did my entire chin and half of one side of my jawline. It was a mess and I’m pretty sure that it didn’t actually do anything, as it seems to be back already. I paid over $100 for the services and I could have it all done again tomorrow. It has only been a week since I have had it done. That’s a lot of money for sub-par service. I can’t even imagine trusting them with anything more serious than a manicure.

After reading the reviews online of Jolanta's Spa, It seemed as though everyone had a fantastic experience with both the staff, and the procedures in general. So I decided to book an appointment to receive a cleansing facial. All the staff were definitely very friendly, and I have absolutely no complaints with regards to that. Nevertheless, the procedure itself, and the aftermath was an absolute nightmare. I am fully aware that exfoliation and extraction may not always be the most comfortable experience, and I even expected there to be a bit of pain. However once she began, the extraction was almost unbearable, it felt as though she was going to break through my skin at any moment; but she assured me it was completely normal. The experience only got worse once she began applying the masks,which were accompanied with more intense pain, which made it feel as though they were literally burning my skin. Again, I was assured that everything I felt was normal. Once the procedure was done, she suggested I buy certain products (which of course were suppose to provide miraculous results). The next day, I was horrified to notice numerous, very visible, and painful, what looked like burn marks, and what was soon to be blisters on my forehead and bits of my face.Also, very upsetting, was that none of the (very expensive) products worked; rather they made my skin break out worse then it had ever before, and clogged all my pores. I'm not sure exactly why I had such a terrible experience, perhaps I was just unlucky to have an inexperienced worker. Anyways, I just thought I would write this review to warn anyone who has acne prone skin, that perhaps you should reconsider this spa as an option, as I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I had.

In response to Jolanta's reply, I was absolutely NOT given a consult, and the pain I described was a lot more than just "discomfort". That general reply was not the experience I received that day and I stand by my review. I've recently had a terrible experience with the facial offered from this spa. The extractions portion of the service was the most pain I have ever had. I repeatedly said I was in pain and to stop what she was doing but she kept saying that it was normal to feel that much pain. Every step felt rushed and I was left alone and awkward while the mask and peel set. (Which would have been nice to receive a scalp and or hand massage During that time. ) As an esthetician with 15+ years of experience it was the worst facial I have ever received...the entire service felt cold and rushed. It was definitely far from soothing and relaxing. When the service had finished of course I was told I needed numerous products... knowing better I did not purchase any. I was very disappointed with the service and will most definitely not be returning.

I have just returned from Jolanta’s Spa today where I had a facial and a pedicure. I have been using their services (facials and pedicures) for a year or two and have been consistently happy with them. Today’s facial was one of the best I have ever had-and I have had lots of them (I’m 50!). I had the deep cleansing facial and when I booked I asked for extractions to be done. Daniela was the aesthetician and did a wonderful job-extractions were the least painful I have had and my skin looked and felt marvellous after. Sometimes after a facial I can’t wait to get home and wash of the layers of product but not with this facial. It was so wonderful I have booked again for October! The other thing I appreciated was that there was no pressure to sell me expensive products. I walked away with some samples and that is it. As for the pedicure, it was wonderful also-I especially like the massage chairs. The products used at this spa for all treatments are of the highest quality, the aestheticians are professional and highly knowledgeable, and the spa is spotless. A great place to be pampered!!
