Flawless. My esthetician Julia made this the best experience I could have possibly hoped for. I have struggled with hormonal acne and numerous skincare allergies for many years, but Julia's meticulous (yet as gentle as possible) extractions absolutely transformed my skin. She customized my entire treatment to suit my sensitivities, and always made me feel very comfortable (even though I'm quite nervous around needles!). More than that, she gave me very helpful and informative advice on my skincare and diet. More about the extractions: It is unpleasant in the moment, but it WORKS. I wasn't really sure what to expect (as I had never had extractions before), and for the first few days after the treatment I was really questioning myself - my face was bright red and inflamed! But you just need to heavily moisturize and have faith in the process - on the morning of the third day I woke up and my face GLOWED. All of my breakouts were gone, and my skin looked tightened and fresh. I think it even helped with my acne scarring! It's now been more than a week, and my skin has just continued to improve as time has gone on. I highly recommend Julia to anyone looking to boost their skincare routine. She is truly a skincare guru.

I'm only giving it 2 stars because the lady who took care of me was lovely and very kind. I went there to get my makeup done but the supplies are truly pitiful, I have a much better arsenal of makeup at home! Things did not look clean, they did not have anything near of half my skinstone despite telling them in advance that I needed a specific skin tone when I booked. Instead the makeup artist struggled to mix and match colors with her broken swatches of colors. a lot of stuff they had were torned up, no cover, broken up palettes, limited colors, and powder, nothing seemed sanitized. I did get a discount for the situation but it was truly a sad sight. Management needs to invest in a proper set up and quality control, I felt so bad for the makeup artist who was trying her best with the lack of equipment and supplies. Honestly, this spa shouldn't offer makeup services in this poor state. It's terrible how poorly everything was kept. I should also mention that the location of the makeup section is truly sad, it's all cramped up in a corner near an exit and stairs. Just sad for a renowned place. Even if makeup isn't a priority for you guys, you should keep an adequate quality for all the services you offer.

The young lady on front desk yesterday needs a lesson on customer service. Very cold, unfriendly and unwelcoming. I felt like I walked into a tense & negative space. A few ladies were behind the desk gossiping and it just made my first impression very negative. From the first greeting to the payment, the young girl on cash appeared she either did not want to be there, or I was inconveniencing her. I won't be returning unfortunately because I came here to get away from a negative space. I assumed a 'spa' was the appropriate place to feel relaxed.

I have never experienced such terrible service in my life. This place does not belong to be in business. All six of us went in for nails for a wedding and were spoken to like dogs to which we were then given the worst treatment i have ever seen. I sent a follow up email to which no one cared to reply. We had to fix all our nails ourselves the next day for the wedding. Do not visit this business unless you're prepared to be treated like crap.

Got a Brazilian here. I have had over a dozen in my life and this was by far the most painful. I don't know what she did wrong, but it hurt like hell, and I was left very prickly due to breakage. She also missed several patches and went over and over the same areas, taking about a half hour. I have never had a wax take more than 20min. I have medium-fine, fairly light hair. From the moment I laid on the table, the woman was aggressively trying to sell me on laser hair removal, telling me waxing was going to hurt me extra because of how coarse my hair is. She insisted that I was the perfect candidate for laser (which I am absolutely not) and pressed the issue when I expressed no interest. Then, after tax, it was $60 and I still had to tip (which, in retrospect, I greatly regret doing.) All-in-all a terrible experience and would not recommend this place to anyone for a wax.

I would give 1 star but the woman who did my pedicure was lovely! However, the staff doing my manicure wasnt very personable and the quality of both manicure and pedicure was horrible! For $130 (and a special polish they told me would last longer) I was shocked when the next day 3 of my toes had completely chipped. They fixed it for free which was nice but then 2 days later my toes were chipped again and my nails also chipped. I didnt even bother wasting my time to go back. For the price I would expect much higher quality. Especially since the girl doing my nails bragged to me about how they are better than all the other salons.

We didn’t enjoy the experience at all. Hers came off completely the next day and mine a few days later. For $140 I would expect better quality and service.

Have only enjoyed my experience with one receptionist. She was so kind and helpful when I called to book. I wish I knew her name. The tech I got the last few times has been so sweet. Very pleasant and professional. Took stars away though because every other receptionist speaks to me like I’m bothering them when I call to book. Last week I called to ask when the earliest I could get in for a specific service, and gave my preferred time. The response I got was “Not for a while” That’s it. Didn’t offer any dates, didn’t ask if I still wanted to book. I was so stunned that I just hung up. So, I requested appointments online, and never got response back.

I always know I am in good hands and get positively recharged. The spa has remarkable history in the city, founded in 1964, it is still owned by the same family. One of the first of it's kind in Canada. Always a pleasure, highly recommend it for a new hair style, facial, massage or even a day of pampering.

Not a great place... Went for a massage and shellac manicure... The massage was ok, I was not in a zen mood post the massage... There was no steam provided.... i went home oily basically... The shellac manicure was very poor. They do not know how to take out cuticles. Must have had a newbie as I didn't even get a complementary heated towel. The shellac manicure basically came out in two days from the sides. A mess... I was from out of town so couldn't have gone back... overall poor service and there are much better places to pamper you than Gina's. Not impressed... Not to mention the overpriced services! whoa! Walked in, the person at reception completely ignored me for several minutes, didn't even say "Hi, I'll be with you in a few minutes." I don't want to sound picky, but it just seemed like a rude start. Went upstairs for a facial, the girl did a good job on extractions, but did leave me alone more frequently than I have had with 1hr facials at other places. She really didn't seem knowledgeable (especially about the products). At the end, she put eye cream on my eye LIDS. Throughout the day, the cream worked its way into my eyes, which proceeded to sting for several hours, even with washing my eyes out. Eye cream should only go below the eye, never on the eye lids. Will not be returning.

I loved my experience at Gina's today! I had the "Time Out For Her" package which includes a facial, mani, pedi, smoothie and lunch. Jennifer was amazing and very detailed with my facial. I was in and out of consciousness during the massage. Great pressure and technique. I would highly recommend! Nicole treated me to the spa hand/foot and leg therapy. I'm so happy with everything! My feet and toes look NICE and the colour she recommended for my nails is so pretty. All of this was 4 hours of relaxing bliss! Treat yo-self!

This is my place for pedicures! If you're like me and really concerned about cleanliness, sanitation and having your feet taken care of this place is amazing. It is immaculate!! Last time I was there I had the full pedicure with the paraffin and heated rock massage. I have very dry feet so I'm more concerned with taking care of my feet than the nail polish. It was so great, Carolina is my girl! I know it's a bit more expensive and posh but it's worth every penny.

Gina's is expensive but you pay for quality. I highly recommend making appointments with Semra for all your waxing needs. I go to her for my eyebrows even though gina's is in a different city and some times it can take me 40 minutes to get there! She gets all the hairs!! I never ever have to go home and tweeze the strays and I always get compliments. Oh and to top it off... not only does Semra do an amazing job she is so personable. Her table side manner is always friendly and caring. The worst thing is that it is sometimes hard to get into see Semra but I understand it is because she is awesome that I can't always get last minute appointments with her.

**This was my first time at this particular spa - but I have lots of experience with other places ** A group of us went for mani/pedis before a wedding. Had the upstairs section to ourselves - very nice and private! Smoothies were ordered ahead of time upon booking - mention was made that 1 dairy free smoothie would be needed - but all 4 they brought out had dairy. Not a big deal - was quickly fixed. I upgraded my manicure to shellac (I always do this so that I get to enjoy my nails for a longer period of time!) We went on a Tuesday and by Saturday the polish started to peel... And by Sunday all of the polish was completely off of my nails. I have never had anything like that happen before. Honestly don't think I will return. Found it very expensive for the services we received (but I am not from KW - so maybe the prices are standard for that area)

Terrible haircut I went to this place to have a new hair style. I had long straight hair for a very long time and wanted something different. When I first went ( I went twice) I tried to describe what I wanted but I made clear that I wanted a haircut which wouldn't need too much styling. I ended up with mid-length hair with curls which looked different and didn't really show how the haircut really was. The next day when I washed my hair and dried it looked really really horrible. Yes the cut was symmetrical (at least) but looked really ugly without styling, specifically curling! I thought it was my fault, couldn't explain what I wanted and went back again for some change as this time I knew better the style I wanted and found some pictures from internet to show etc. Also I tried to make sure the hair styles I showed from pictures were OK for my hair type too. It wasn't the same stylist this time but the result was as awful as the first time, very far from the pictures I showed. Now my hair looks really horrible and I feel so upset almost every time I look in the mirror :-( The worst part is I spent a lot of money for this terrible hair cut(s). Staff is kind etc but it's not really worth it. I'm extremely disappointed...

If I could give this place negative stars I would. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any type of service industry. I had dark brown hair and wanted to dye it blonde. It took seven long, and painful, hours because I had like 10 pounds of tinfoil on my head. I endured all of this for the most horrid results. My hair was extremely patchy, green, and had random segments which were silver... basically nothing like the platinum blonde colour I wanted. Multiple people also oversaw my hair, so it wasn't just the fault of one hairstyle, but the systematic incompetence of the business. My friend, who is 20 years old and has never went to beauty school, even recognized that they should have bleached my hair a second time, but they did not. When I went to a different salon they stylists there were likewise shocked at how bad my hair looked. They again confirmed that it should have been bleached twice, and that Gina's also over-toned my hair. Clearly, then, they don't understand basic techniques of colouring hair blonde. I also had to call three times to finally talk to someone who could discuss refunds with me. I wasted so much time only for them to tell me they "don't do refunds." What kind of bs? What kind of reputable business doesn't provide refunds when the product or service they offer isn't on par? And I wasted a criminal amount of money to get disgusting hair. It was $370. That's too much to begin with and they overcharge for all of their treatments. Also, when discussing how to solve this situation, even though I explicitly said I did not want to come back to the salon to get it fixed, they put the stylist who messed up my hair on the phone with me. A little inappropriate in my opinion because I didn't want to hurt her feelings and so I felt backed into a corner to make an appointment there to get it fixed, which I soon after cancelled. Please don't go to this place. Clearly they don't know what they're doing and their customer service is appalling. For the past week I have been truly EMBARRASSED to leave my house because my hair is so bad. Also, I'm still absolutely furious I didn't get ANY kind of refund, so save yourself from getting scammed like I did.

I was debating whether or not to write a review but I'm still ticked. I booked a 30m massage, got a reciept from the RMT and an apology that we went 10m over... I go upstairs and they charged me for a 40m massage! That's really unfair. I was not happy!! On top of that, after arriving I confirmed 30m massage and after the overcharge they claimed it was on the computer for 40. Unethical money grab... I don't think any other RMT would charge for their mistake! It's not like the client is watching the clock. This has never happened anywhere else. Also the MOST expensive pedicure I've ever had. Expensive doesn't mean good..

Estheticians and staff were friendly however the atmosphere is very loud and busy. (it is a large place so I feel that this isn't necessarily a flaw but a good thing to keep in mind for your expectations) If you want to go for a spa day or have few different services be prepared to walk around in a robe while everyone else is fully clothed purchasing product or getting their nails or hair done. For me, it was uncomfortable and I felt awkward being in such a public place with my hair all messy and no make up on while naked under a robe. I think it would be a fun place to go with some friends or just for one service here and there. If you have expectations for a day of pure relaxation and solitude I would not recommend Ginas.

Did not enjoy my experience getting my hair done here. I was booked in for a partial highlight. My hair dresser was 30 minutes late to my apt. She had another client booked in during my service and left me sitting with wet cold hair at the sink for 30 minutes while she assisted her other client. I ended up being at the salon for 3 hours for a partial highlight (I don’t even have that much hair). I was also not consulted about the colour of the toner or the price. I did not like the toner she selected. The price I was quoted also did not match the price I paid which was upsetting. $40 more than I was quoted for. Not sure how that happened.

Liked the atmosphere a lot! I just got my hair cut, never been there before. She did a decent job but never asked for feedback (ie. How's it looking? Is this the length you were thinking? Should it be shorter, etc).. Also she burned my scalp a little when blow drying! Just a little, nothing extreme but yeeowch! Girls were pretty much friendly. I am happy with my hair cut and she gave me a lovely scalp massage when she washed my hair. Overall experience was decent but nothing overwhelming. Will go again but try another stylist perhaps.

Ginas is very professional and the spa is well kept, large and bright. I've had great results with laser hair removal and electrolysis in the past. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The laser prices do seem very expensive. I was quoted $800 for 1 treatment of full leg. Another spa quoted me $160 for the same thing. I do trust Ginas for results however. I have had some unsuccessful laser treatments at other spas.

I went here for the first time for a pedicure and I will not be returning. The girl who gave me a pedicure never even asked if I was allergic to almond oil (all the other employes asked their clients) she just put it on. Then she rushed off and left me in the chair so she could get to her next appointment. And she never came back. And when I got home I noticed she didn't even fully paint 3 of my nails! I'm not sure why this place was highly recommended, and at $70 for a pedicure that was the same as I've had in a non spa setting is insane. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

The atmosphere is lovely and staff are pleasant. However the quality of service has gone down hill. I came in for a facial with my friend on a Monday morning. The staff used to offer a cappucino/beverage nothing was offered. Perhaps they dont do that anymore? I had the european facial and the esthetician did maybe 6 extractions (even though I told her blackheads were a big concern) She left the room 3 times to let me relax which is fine but Im paying for a 60 minute facial which is really more like 40ish minutes. Will not return.

The RMT showed up 15 minutes late. I was very disappointed as they started the massage off by doing static touches with one hand and were texting on their phone with the other. Got a gift card for a massage for my birthday so I went there the day of. I did aroma therapy and it was amazing, therefore I gave the therapist tips. Then I went to the counter and used my gift card and paid tax, but knowing that I already paid tips to the therapist, I didn’t pay tips at the reception. Somehow the receptionist got so rude after and walked away from me when I asked if I can go in the coat room to grab my coat. She totally ruined my trip to Gina’s and I won’t be coming back in the future.

I went to get a shellac manicure and relax and treat myself. Instead I got one of the least enjoyable manicures I've ever had. My aesthetician lectured me the entire time and acted personally insulted when I bumped my nails before setting. I left angry and unsatisfied with the colour on my nails. Probably never going back.
