A majority of the reviews here and elsewhere are fabricated by the business owner with fake accounts and pictures, clearly evidenced by the fact that this is the only place they have rated and reviewed. Furthermore, they berate other businesses and feign legitimacy by lackadaisically rating other random businesses without comments. In general the owners of this place are rude and defensive and don't put the customer first. Pride issues and also issues of having an inferiority complex as immigrants with poor English skills. They sold their services on WagJag for 50% off and used that as justification for being rude to customers. This is in no way to develop loyalty or referrals.

I was looking for an economical option to do my eyebrows here in Waterloo amongst all the superbly high priced salons. And then I found Aaina. Not only is it pretty feasible but I was received with so much warmth and love. As for the level of service, I entered in with eyebrows undone since 3 months, and came out with beautifully cleaned and shaped eyebrows. Raj did an absolutely amazing job. She was so careful and professional with her technique. Found my go to place for eyebrows hands down!

I'm 29 year old male who sadly in my opinion has a lot hair growth in a lot of uncomfortable places so it was then I had decide to under go some waxing treatment but little did I realize that a few places would not provide such services depending what I wanted done? I also had to realize that performing waxing jobs on me would be difficult for provider because I sadly suffer from cerebral palsy and therefore periodically have muscle spasms, Just when I had thought no salon would touch me I had found Aaina Spa & Salon. Not only did they provide the services I had required but they were very understanding and gentle! It is with staying this I personally would recommend Aaina Spa & Salon to anyone! Specially to those who suffer from disabilities and who needs services done delicately :)

It's two years now since I am having my eyebrows done here and I strongly recommend this salon. Raj is absolutely amazing! She is paying so much attention to my eyebrows and she is putting so much effort to make them look great! And believe me, this is very hard work because my eyebrows are really complicated. It is not just cleaning, waxing away the hair and done, as it is the case in many other places. Raj really takes her time (at least 20 mins each time I go there) to check carefully and see if everything is perfect at the end. It is like personalized eyebrow waxing! And she is always making sure I am happy with the final result before I go out of her salon. I would never go somewhere else!

I went to have my colour done and it was terrible. The job was so rushed, and Raj just plopped the bleach on my hair all at once and was surprised that my roots came out Orange. The toner used did little to nothing to fix it and again was rushed and sloppy. I ended up having to go somewhere else to get it fixed. The lady who fixed my hair was shocked that my hair was just done at a salon and thought I did it myself with drug store products. Save your time and money if you want to go blonde. The salon was also filthy

Got my eyebrows waxed for the first time ever at Aaina Spa. They were great! Quick & painless for $10. Lots of parking available (a rarity sometimes in the downtown area). Very nice, sociable ladies. Inviting atmosphere. 10/10 service - they take your coat, offer you coffee/water etc. for the full experience. Would definitely recommend.

I have been going to Raj for a few years. Raj reminds me of an artist. She takes such great care when cutting, coloring or setting your hair. Raj is very meticulous with every Customer I've ever seen in her spa. I've had moles removed along with everything for my hair. I would NEVER go to any other spa. Sister in law and I went for manicures very recently. The tech not only pushed our cuticles "really far back" to the techs admission, but we both bled in multiple places around our cuticles (I have 7 scabs on my fingers... SEVEN). On top of that, the tech really didn't do a very good job with our shellac application. Our nails remained tacky after "curing" multiple times and generally do not look good. The services we received are not up to par with services we've received elsewhere in the community. The tech was friendly and talkative which is what got her the second star. There is still a remaining balance leftover from the gift card we used, so we will have to go back for something...

I enjoyed my experience at Aaina very much. I did the weekday spa package and got a lot for the value (mani, pedi, great facial and wonderful massage). Raj was fantastic. As an introvert, I couldn't have asked for a better service provider. She has great energy and really made the experience 5/5. While I would not say Aaina is a high-end spa, it is a very homey and comfortable one. Would return and recommend.

Great service. I was having trouble finding a laser hair removal place with the Yag laser for dark skins or people of colour and ever since I found this place, it's been my go to for laser hair removal. No scars and I'm seeing good results, glad I found the place. And Raj is a really nice lady.

As soon as you enter the owner makes you feel like a welcome family member. I have had microdermabrasion done at many popular salons in KW but since my experience at Aaina I will never go anywhere else again. Firstly because she goes above and way beyond the amount of time you would get anywhere else. Secondly she is very knowledgeable about good skin care and how to stay young looking.

It was really a great experience visiting the place. Manager is so nice and good in her work, and did an extremely great job in cutting my hair. She is so nice that she waited for me even after the closing time of salon. She even described me the design of hair cut which suits me the best, that no other hair dresser ever told me before here in Canada.

I've got to give Raj 5 stars as she has been so good to my husband and me through the years. First my brother and spouse went to this Salon and told us about it and since then my husband goes no where else. He likes a good haircut for a fair price and that's why he continues to go. I recently as a few years ago started to go and have to say I am very pleased with the experience. Raj is a very talented hair stylist and does her best to cut my hair with any picture I bring in-and there have been a lot of them over the years. She also is an excellent colourist and I have been very pleased with the results of both colour and highlights. Love you Raj!

Raj is excellent at what she does and is skilled in many different areas. She offers expertise in everything from laser and skin tag removal to hair colour, cutting and styling, to facials and more! I’ve seen her for laser hair removal with EXCELLENT results, she’s also done my highlights, hair colour and styled my hair for prom as well. The environment at the salon is incredibly serene and it has lots of windows to let light in. Aaina salon and spa is very accessible as it’s conveniently located right uptown Waterloo. I’ve known Raj for years and her clients often become good friends, she’s such a warm and welcoming woman! Can’t say enough good things about her and this place, definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended.

Went to buy 2 packages for my nieces for Christmas. The website says they were available to buy until the end of December. I called to make sure they were available in store as the website has a Buy Now button that doesn't work at all. Made it clear on the phone these were Christmas presents, was told yes - come on in. Get to the spa, the young girl at the front starts to get them ready when an older lady comes out and says they are only good until the end of the month. Why are they selling them until December 31st if you can't use them after that day? She then tried to talk me into buying the regular priced package at twice the cost. Yeah right. Every spa in town is offering Christmas packages (that don't expire a week after Christmas). Found a better package for the same price at a nicer spa. It's a little further away from my sister's home, but still within easy distance for the girls to get to.

I put a one star because there is no option for NO stars. This place was horrible!! They do not sanitize their tools or care about their clients. I went with my sister for a mani and pedi and they acted like we were bothering them just by being there. The owner was 45 minutes late to give my sister her pedicure because she was booking a hotel room online. The services were all half done. The one girl (who was not certified) gave me a manicure by pushing back my dry cuticles with a metal tool. When I complained that it hurt, she told me "I must have never had a manicure before, this is how its done". Just as an example. It was a bad time and waste of money to say the least. The interior is unclean and service is non existent to sub standard. They are a little too easy going there. You will wait while they serve other clients they book during your appointment.

I have gotten the best haircuts ever from Raj. She is a genius with scissors and razor. The hairstyle I got suits my coarse hair, is modern and easy to maintain. I will keep going back. Raj also gives me great advice on my skin.

I've stayed because of the lovely and talented owner and head stylist, Raj. Raj is very professional and takes great pride in her work. The owner is a very rude, discriminating person. Apparently you can only park in her parking lot if you own a small car. Anyone driving a truck should look out- you aren't allowed to park there due to it making her business looking like it is "under construction"... What a joke.

I recently went to go in for a facial. When I arrived, I had to wait 15 minutes to even go into the room. Then as soon as a I got in, she sighed at the sight of my skin! Like it was the worst she'd ever seen. I was quite offended. The room did not look very well up kept or sanitary. The person doing my facial did not explain whether or not the extractor she was using was sterilized or not, which I deem as a huge flaw. She also left the door open while I was half dressed while another person walked through the door and it was clearly visible. The CD player was "broken" so she didn't put it on.. Then put it on when she did the mask.. Obviously was not broken. While the mask was happening. I sat there for 20 minutes listening to her skype with some family members. Then at the end, she couldn't print the receipt for me because the paper ran out.. So I suggested putting more paper in and she couldn't figure out how to reprint it. Overall unprofessional and a bad "relaxation" environment.. Which it should be. I would not go back.

Best massage I have had ever!! The ladies who work there are amazing, customer service at its best! I also got a pedicure there ( for the first time) and I have to say, I want another one! I really do appreciate smaller business's doing so well. They work so hard <3

Hubby and I were looking for a place to get side by side pedicures, you'd be surprised how difficult this task was. I finally found info on Aaina Salon and Spa and gave them a call and they were able to accommodate us without issue. The owner had called me back a few days before the appointment to advise me they are replacing their massage chairs for the pedicures so they only had one massage chair and one regular chair. She just wanted me to know before arriving incase I wanted to change my mind. I thought that was kind. We had a great experience. The interior was clean and the owner (I assume) and employee were both very nice and friendly. Our feet feel refreshed. It was only the two of us in there and that was also a nice treat. We had great conversation throughout the pedicure. We talked about our kids, and our upcoming baby. We even had a few guesses of what the gender will be :) I would recommend to family and friends!

We weren't able to get away this winter and decided we needed a mini vacation. We booked a couples massage and pedicure and it was so relaxing. The pedicure was very particular and the mini foot massage that came with it was wonderful. The massage is where they won me. It was one of the best massages I've had in this city and look forward to returning for another one!

Yes Aaiina Salon called me about 45 minutes later. I didn't the answer cause i i was getting my hair done. That's why I gave it one star

Just because I was nice, you took advantage of my goodness and ask me from Kitchener in three buses to do laser treatment and then tell me you want to charge me more money than what I usually pay or no service.
