Was the worst experience ever, the staff didnt even ask me to go wash my hands after shaping the nails which resulted bumpy surface, and when i told her im not happy with the work and she was annoyed and rough on my nails, very unprofessional and never going again and not recommending this place.

I've been coming to Tom & Betty for a total of 5yrs .I moved up to Vernon last year and have tried a few nail salons .I was not happy with what I was getting done..Then one day I was in Tim Hortons and waiting in line and I heard someone call my name to my surprise it was Betty I was so happy to see her and she then told me they live up here in vernon I asked about there shop she said Vernon Crystal Nails I was so excited to hear the news .I've been coming here ever since Great nails they last they take pride in what they do I highly recommend vernon crystal nails.You won't be disappointed ❤

Within 3 days one finger nail (shellac) lifted and within 1 week, two others lifted and would get snagged on things. I’ve never had this issue before. Also, the girl didn’t care about going back far enough to the skin so after a week, the shellac that’s left already looks old. What a waste of money.

Went in for a polish change with French tips. Not a manicure. She rounded my nails into a weird shape, the polish was sloppy and all over my skin. After I left I had file them to give them a decent shape. They are super short now, the skin hurts and they still look weird. On top of that they said they have a 30$ minimum (after I was done) and charged me an additional 2$ for using credit card. 32$ for a polish change. I definitely won't go back.

After going there several times I stopped. The man doing my nails said I was so fat that he couldn’t do them right because I held my arms differently. I’ve had acrylics for years and this was the ultimate insult. Never going back. PS I am overweight but all he had to do was ask me to move my arms.

I have been getting my nails done here for about 8 months. I love the shape of my nails, as well as, the variety of colours available. I am always happy that I can get my nails done with little or no wait time. I find the atmosphere friendly & welcoming. I'll be heading back there when I need my nails done again! I'm going with 4 stars only because I've never had a pedicure there yet.

I rarely leave negative reviews but I think this has to be said. The man was rude, unwelcoming and overcharged me for my set ($65 instead of $55). Also I asked for gel and he gave me acrylic which means he overcharged even more. It was an extremely uncomfortable experience overall and I will not be returning.

The man who did my nails was not in very good spirits. He did a decent job, but unfortunately there was absolutely no cuticle care. OK place, but I will not be going back due to very poor hygiene measures. No washing of hanmen between clients. They use the same tools me as the people before .You could still see the nail dust on the files from people. There was also dust in both of the UV lights and you feel the grit on the Palm of your hands.

Very bad service The guy in this place was rude, unfriendly and doing a sloppy job. When I ask him to do my nails in a certain shape he was not happy. Keep quite and shun me off without answering. He pulled my hands so roughly to do the nails. I was ready to walk out but my daughter left me and I don’t have a cell to call her so I was stuck for an hour with this guy. It is $55 it may be cheap but service was so bad. I will not go back any more to be treated rudely.

Got a set of gels. Didn't even ask me to wash my hands before. Used a dremel on the natural nail which is a HUGE no-no. Didn't seem too excited to do any nail art or rhinestone decals, she seemed annoyed that I even asked. The nails were very bumpy, crooked, and just didn't look nice at all. After hearing all these good reviews I was really disappointed. Feel bad for those ladies though. If this is an good salon to them, they obviously never experienced an amazing set of nails! Would not recommend, definitely not going back.

They do a decent job, but … the man that does nails there, I think the owner… is not very friendly …. Not welcoming at all, you can tell he hates what he does, like it shows !! Also, he’s pretty rough, tugs rough on your hands then tells u to relax …I have went there’ a couple times over the last 6 years… each time I have had the man, he’s always been like that, it made me a little uncomfortable and awkward … gave him a tip and he never said thank you, just “yeah”, I just sat there in silence and focused on “relaxing my hands” so they wouldn’t be tugged on roughly …

Decent price but was not happy when leaving. Tips were not put on right so there was space between my nail and artificial nail for junk to build up in. Two nails were done so they weren't straight the curved to the side. Ended going else where when I needed a full to get them fixed. Left after telling them I wouldn't come back (6-9 months ago) haven't gone back since and was my first experience there

The guy was very rude to me while giving me a new set. I called to make an appointment, they said 5:30 and they closed at 6pm. They seemed very annoyed doing my nails. He slapped my hand because it wouldn’t “relax” and than proceeded to get mad at me for hitting my nail in the uh light and he had to fix it. I was very uncomfortable and I will not be returning.

Make sure you ask the price first if you're new. My friend and I went in and got gel nails which were priced $50 on the menu board, $50 on their website and confirmed $50 on the phone when booking. When we arrived they sat us down and let us pick our colours and then proceeded doing our nails. The staff were efficient and friendly, we had a wonderful experience and our nails are stunning! But unfortunately at the end when we went to pay they charged $65 for mine (no additional gem or free hand art) and $55 for my friend who only got French tips. When asked there was no explanation. We payed without complaining because we love the nails but, imagine going there on a budget and finding out you don't have enough? Please, when people tell you what they're getting tell them it will be extra and give a reason why! I would've given 5 stars but you need to be honest with your customers!

I came here once to get a pedicure for the first time and they did great it turned out perfect exactly what I wanted. I came back months later to get my fingernails done and I asked for gel nails but she gave me acrylic and she rushed through the whole process didn't give the correct shape I wanted, that my nails turned out terrible she painted them and then filed them so there's a lot of spots that are not painted and they are all shaped different and weird I wouldn't recommend to get your nails done here at all.
