I can honestly say I am very disappointed in the service I received here. I felt humiliated by the staff member who was doing my nails. When I called to tell the manager what happened, he repeatedly told me over and over that they had been in business for 9 years and their staff would never do such a thing. He insisted that I was over thinking the situation and there was no way that I (the customer) was right. All I wanted was an apology and maybe to come back for a better service. I will never be coming back again and I will definitely tell all my friends and family to not go here. What horrible customer service you have.

It was my first time ever getting a pedicure. I had never before been to a nail salon but even so I was able to tell they have a very good operation. As soon as I came in I was welcomed to a clean room with a hip but perfetional atmosphere. Even though I was the only male costumer I felt welcomed. Thanks Emma’s for the nails!

I had a manicure with gel polish on July 10, 2018 also my sister had hers done at the same time which was a treat from me at a total cost of $91.95. July 19th I sent a email regarding a chipped nail on July 18th and requesting refund of services. July 20th had nails redone in Cranbrook where I live as could not get polish to match and at that time sent picture of chip..got reply asking for phone #, which I sent by return email. July 27th sent email as no response as yet, replied will call in a few days. July 31st sent email that sister's gel polish had peeled 10 days after service but she lives in Armstrong and did not tell me until now. She replied with I should come to shop to discuss, to which I replied I live in Cranbrook which I told her in first contact and it was not possible as it is a 7 hr drive. Today Aug 6th still no response....it is pretty obvious she does not intend to make any attempt to make things right, by maybe offering a gift certificate for next time I am in Vernon again.....very disappointed in their service and not standing behind their work...... Will never step foot in their door again. When i have my nails done in Cranbrook I get at least 3 weeks to 4 weeks before they need to be redone.....I think of have given her ample time to respond to my emails. I must also add that I was in and out in half an hour......in Cranbrook it takes at least one hour......certainly wasn't a enjoyable manicure like I expect.......

Best place to get your nails done in the entire Okanagan! Clean, bright space. Friendly staff. And.. the best part is that my shellac polish lasts up to 4 weeks on average. It's worth the drive in to Vernon from Salmon Arm.

As disappointed as I was with Emma’s shop, I almost didn’t take the time to write a review but after seeing a CBC report on Ontario nail salons I felt compelled to write. They stated the health department’s main challenge is that clients don’t report poor shop conditions. September 11, 2015 I was going to a family event so I was really looking forward to getting a manicure before attending. I’m not an expert but have had many manicures and pedicures plus have a knowledge of sanitation and hygienic requirements. My first suspicion of a problem was while waiting my turn at the manicure station. The worker was going to start but I noticed all the tools and buffer were already on the table. Knowing that contaminated instruments are the number one cause of salon infections, I brought it to her attention. She quickly removed them and brought out a new sealed package of tools. I gave a sigh of relief until I was under the nail dryer and facing the salon from a different angle. I don’t know if the salon was a family affair but there were more workers than clients and a number of staff were either in bare feet or wearing socks only. Staff were sitting on the pedicure chairs with bare feet doing their own nails and chatting with one another then walking across the salon floor to get something then returning to the salon chairs. The manicure looked good but the hygienic conditions were not good. I don’t live in Vernon, but I won’t be going back to that salon.

I have been having a monthly pedicure at Emma's for over 4 years now. I love the friendly, professional people, especially Diem who does my pedicure. The shop is very bright and cheerful. It is very clean. I have also occasionally had gel manicures, also done very professionally. Emma’s Nails staff and facility are practising all the requirements during this COVID-19 time. I feel safe going there.

Super quick, my mom and I were in and out with gorgeous pedicures in less than 45 minutes. Everything was clean and the tech did a really great job of removing an ingrown and even had it checked by a second tech. Would reckoned this place to everyone who wants to refresh their feet for summer ☺️

They stayed late for me past close as I called about 30 minutes before close to come in. They were all very nice and friendly especially Van the gentleman that did my nails. I normally hate acrylic nails and find they look too bulky and weirdly unnaturally pink but admittedly no one else was open that did gel french tips so I thought I'd try acrylic out again since I was leaving for vacation the next night. They turned out beautiful! Enough so that I may switch to acrylic now. He did a very fast job and still did a perfect job and put up with my finicky picky shaping without complaint and did everything as I asked. And he was gentle and chatty and the salon looks very well kept and clean. And I even enjoyed the girl who sung quietly as she swept and cleaned up the salon before leaving. It's nice when you can tell they are happy at their work. Miserable people don't sing beautifully as they clean. I have never bothered to write a review for a salon before but I am impressed and appreciative of how accommodating, efficient and economical they were. Will definitely be back!

I have never been more disappointed with how my nails look. This was my second visit to this salon. After my first visit, I was not impressed, but okay with my nails: the technician was clearly rushed and she cut me with the file, but the appearance of my nails was satisfactory. I decided to come back and give this place a second chance. I booked an appointment this time so that I was not rushed. After explaining what I was looking for, the nail technician gave me two options. Neither were exactly what I wanted, but I decided to give one option a try - a french tip solar nail. I wasn't really impressed that for a colour change (which this was) I had to to a completely new nail and pay for a new set. Nonetheless, I trusted that this nail technician knew what he was doing and my nails would look good. After he placed the tips on and began applying the solar nail, I told him that I noticed one of my nails was crooked. The french tip was lopsided. He explained that he matched it up with my natural nail and did nothing. I explained that it still looked crooked to me and I was not happy with it. He then began filing and shaping my nails and had me look at them again. I told him that I wasn't thrilled about the shape but the length was good. He then said again that he matched up the nail with my natural nail and some nails aren't perfect. That's not what I meant at all. He filed by nails so that the shape of the nail is slanted inward, which is not what I wanted (I had previously had square nails with rounded corners). On top of everything, one of my nails had a crack and a chip at the tip (which I had to fix myself at home) and my nails were all different lengths on the same hand. I am so disappointed - what a huge waste of time and money! I very likely will not be returning to this salon.

My first experience here was very disappointing and very upsetting. The guy who did my acyrilic nails put too much product on my nails. Few hours later my nail beds where throbbing in pain. I was miserable with super think nails. Ended up cutting them short and going to a different salon for help. Waste of my money :( I also didn't like that they didnt speak English in front of their customers.

My friend and I went and got a mani pedi and the toes look great.... the fingers not so much. This was 3 days ago and hers are already chipped. Mine are botched like crazy. Literally look so messy as do hers. Not to mention they kept answering the phone while doing our nails which made it take so much longer. Get a receptionist maybe? Also they didnt sanatize the tools from the previous client which actually made me gag. They rushed and put SO MUCH pressure on my nails while filing that I almost had to pull away... The salon is beautiful and the people are great. Just not the best service or outcome of product. $100/ person down the drain.

It's so unfortunate today that I am writing this negative review. Last year we went in and got nails done for my wedding and had a wonderful experience. October 27th was total opposite.. The poor experience started as soon as my mom and I sat down in the chairs. The male doing my nails was frequently showing he was disappointed in me for not saying that I wanted extensions when booking the appointment. I apologized and said I was not asked when booking, and I don't get gel nails often enough to know that was a big deal. He continued to mention it. After I thought we had carried on he had started commenting on how cold my hands are and complaining that they're going to take 3x to dry compared to the usual.. I'm sorry it is cold outside because it's FALL. Ladies have cold enough hands in general. I was able to push through in hopes of sitting by my mom and being able to chat with her when they sat her 3 seats over (an empty one between us) and told her she could absolutely not have the nails she wanted. She wanted coloured tips. Coloured tips. Is this not a common request here? I got three different colours on my tips sitting 2 seats away from her! So she settled and requested a french manicure but with the sparkly white gel polish. Simple enough we thought, even though she wanted some fun colours for our trip. In the end they had switched people 3 times and put the final coat on top, and guess what? No white sparkles.. We requested it be put on top and they said no it's too late and will make it too thick. She said she didn't care, make it thick then that's fine.. They then did a silver sparkle even though she had the sample right in front of them. I am sorry to write a long disappointing view for what was once a great company. Maybe they are understaffed and overbooked? Maybe this needs to be fixed. There is definitely a language barrier considering 75% of the time they were speaking their language across the room to each other, which I have no problem with, we have the freedom of speech. The problem I had though was they were talking right in front of us and some of it was clear that it was about us when they would throw in an english word or two "french tip" "colour" "sparkles" "cold hands" "extensions".. hmm all issues that had come up in english. Right in front of us. So maybe you guys need to take a step back and listen to the customers. Yes I know there can be bad ones and we definitely try not to be, mom even left a good tip after getting everything done opposite of what she would like. We thanked you and left smiling. But consider your customers, how are you going to succeed if you don't even communicate with us.. I say this every day at my own job "COMMUNICATION IS KEY." Update today: met my mom in Mexico after her nails had been on for one week. They look terrible. At least 3 of the nails have broke off.. Mine are peeling much faster than usual too. Mom keeps saying it feels like she was in an assembly line with how many people bounced us around instead of relaxing.
