Went in a few months ago, called for a quote on pricing. Was surpised how inexpensive it was, i was given two prices, the fullest thickest set being $60. I made an appointment, both me and my partner were listening in on speaker phone, she said 2pm. Show up 10 minutes early, and I'm told i misheard and they actually told me 3pm. Absolutely not true and kind of annoying considering it's raining and i walked there, but whatever not a big deal. Appointment went fine, but after i was done, i looked in the mirror i couldn't even really see a difference, even though i asked for a dramatic and thick set. The price turned out to be more than double what was quoted to me on the phone, at $130. And just the next day the eyelashes were flipping around backwards and looked super wonky, my friend who gets eyelashes extensions all the time said i was supposed to be given a care package that would contain a spooly to brush them out, and i was supposed to get thorough instructions on how to take care of them, which i didnt. Overall very disappointed, will not be coming back.

Maria is extremely pleasant, I really look forward to appointments. I’m really glad I started coming here for lash extensions - she’s very gentle, knowledgeable and experienced. She had great advice about what shape/style of lashes to go for based on my eye shape that has made having the extensions *way* more comfortable and longer lasting than anywhere I’d gone before. Until coming here, I had just thought lash extensions were inevitably a little uncomfortable. Not anymore!

She is meticulous in her work, friendly, and is always learning more about the most up-to-date techniques and products. I have had medical grade facials done at a very reasonable price, lash extensions and I’ve also had pedicures with Yuna. Maria is very friendly and consistent in her work. With Covid cleanliness, I feel very safe when in the salon. Maria has posted her safety protocols on the website and follows them very well. It’s been over 4 years now and every time I have her massage my back and neck feels great, she really works on my muscles tension that I got from playing tennis. I called today to see if I can get waxing service and Maria told me I could go at noon until 12:45 because she had another appointment. I went and was amazed by the service! Amazing Cleanliness and Hygiene: The owner of the spa, Maria, not only has great customer service but also professionalism and amazing cleanliness. I love getting my nails, facials and waxes done with Maria. I have been to many high end spas around the world and Nuestro Day Spa is still my absolute favourite for a multitude of reasons. I am a total germaphobe and appreciate the importance of going to a clean and properly sanitized spa after bad experiences at other spas. I have witnessed Maria meticulously clean her instruments and foot basins, etc. after each client’s use and wash her hands constantly. She is a pleasure to talk to and you can definitely trust her to uphold the highest level of hygiene practices to keep you safe.

The reviews are right. Maria, the owner is lovely and very sociable. This review Iis about a pedicure I had with an employee, and NOT Maria. I noticed as they were painting my toenails that we were running out of nail polish, but I assumed things were working out. When I got home (once the toenails were fully dried), the big toes had a horrible crummy texture which I attribute to the dry nail polish. I contacted the spa and sent them a photo, hoping for a reply and for a way to fix my toe nails. I gave them over 3 working days to reply, and I never got any. I am so disappointed because I really wanted to like and fully support this place, but my big toenails look that they were poorly painted.

I highly recommend Nuestro Day Spa and Maria is no doubt the best esthetician that I ever had =) I have done my facial, nails and waxing there for numerous times and each visit was a very pleasant experience. The spa itself is nice and clean, and also quite cozy. Personally I like their hair waxing services the most and I have been going back to Maria for waxing for years. I particularly like the special pinky wax that they have which smells so lovely and at the same time very moisturizing. Maria has always been very fast, professional and sweet and the waxing she does is painless =)
