(Translated) The overall experience is good, but the masseuse is overwhelmed. (Original) 整体体验不错,但女按摩师压得太厉害了

The service at this spa is Impeccable, great service and clean environment. The spa is very small and I was a little disappointed that the man changing room did not have a steam room, just a dry sauna. The jacuzzi and the pool are very very small.

I had a full body treatment from Aisha. She was fantastic. She walked me through the experience, gave me a great scalp massage at the end and answered all my questions. I highly recommend her! The spa itself is beautiful, very calming. I felt very COVID-safe during the experience.

My husband and I had a couples retreat with Ayeshe’ and Julie they both did an Amazing job , very professional, clean environment I highly suggest and recommend them both ,we were very satisfied with service we got from them!!

Amazing treatment- Stunning spa The only down fall was that after we were finished our treatment we were rushed out of the room, so we never got to enjoy the facilities in the room. We had to showing in the gym changing rooms (which were still lovely, just not as nice as our room was)

Very tranquil and relaxing experience. My wife and I had massages here for our anniversary. The staff were very nice and helpful. The amenities for the spa in the private rooms were great. I would suggest letting the spa know when you book your appointment that you want to use the private showers afterwards. This was one of the most relaxing parts of the experience as we had our own private jetted shower with steam and soaker tub. After your massage it really helps relax the body. They offer RMT as well so you can write off the massage. All in all it was a great experience and I would book again. Only downside is they only have one couples room so you have to book early and in advance.

I got a giveaway to enjoy Suit Spa experience. I thought that we would be able to enjoy all the facilities inside the spa. Unfortunately the jacuzzi was not included. Duration of the whole thing was 2 hours which includes 60 mins massage + collagen mask, shower, 15 mins steam (sauna sesh), and 45 mins just to “chill” inside the room. For $345, I think it’s absolutely not worth it.

I injured my leg the night before and they wouldn’t cancel my appointment nor move the appointment to another date without charging the full amount first since my accident happened within 24 hours prior to the appointment. I am very disappointed since this spa has a high rating! Shangri-la spa should have better understanding and empathy towards to the customers.

Jenna was amazing. She was polite, kind , personable and she did above and beyond a wonderful job. Because of her efforts, my skin is pristine and has never been better. I've never been so well taken care of. I hope her hard work does not go unnoticed. Thank you!

Great rmt service. I loved the treatment rooms. One of my favorite spas in vancouver. The bar is quite pricey but food is tasty! Nice hot tub/pool views

Julie was amazing and I felt 100% more relaxed after my massage! Went for a birthday and unexpectedly received a small complimentary gift. The receptionist lady was very friendly and attentive as well for check in and check out! All around a great experience!

I had Takako for my seaweed facial (?) and I absolutely loved the facial and her. She had a great balance of talking to me and also allowing me to relax, and that’s exactly what I wanted. It’s been a couple days since I got the service, but my skin still feels great. I couldn’t use the whole facility since I had plans afterwards, but when I visit next time, I would love to just stay there and use their pool etc. to relax even more.

This place was clean and the staff were nice but it really didn't live up to the expectation. The relaxation area was far from relaxing, the massage wasn't as great as I've experienced, and the changing rooms were quite crowded. The tea was lovely and as I said everybody was very nice but I wouldn't go here again.

Had a great couples massage experience today. It was one of the best massages I’ve had in a long time, and I get massages quite often, everything from cheap to high-end spas.

This is my second visit, so the star rating is the average of my first plus this visit. The first visit was definitely 5 stars. But not this time. The reason I came back is because the spa was so great the first time I decided to bring my husband this second time for our anniversary. I booked the couples room which was 900+ sq ft for our massage and facial, 3hrs in total. The room very spacious and relaxing. Since there was another reservation for the couples room after ours, after our treatment was over, we were escorted to the adjacent room to shower/get ready. My husband did the aromatic steam shower & Westcoast Wave 90min, and because I was pregnant I had no choice but to go with the RMT. When I booked the appointment about a month ago, the lady on the phone reassured me that they had a very experienced RMT. I assumed that was Colin (from reading the reviews). However, I suppose Colin left because my RMT that day was Joey. I have been to many RMTs so I can tell right away if someone was experienced or not. Joey was definitely not experienced. I was so disappointed! He didn’t seem to know where a pregnant women would experience a lot of pain from - the lower back! I even told him before the start of my session that my back hurts, but all he did was focus on my shoulders and barely did anything to massage out my back. My husband had to do it that evening. Not only was he technically inexperienced, he was not well trained for a high end spa facility, definitely not trained for Shangrila. He was very kind and polite, but he was not quiet or gentle like the other therapists at the spa (ie. Quiet voice, light footsteps). My husband felt like he was disturbed throughout the massage by his loud steps. If he were at any other RMT clinic I would have been OK but not for $300 at Shangrila. I guess I’m also not happy with the massage experience because I was told the RMT was very experienced and I suppose I didn’t manage my expectations accordingly. If I had known it was someone new, I wouldn’t have done the massage. My husband also did the aromatic steam shower, and we both also did the rejuvenating collagen facial. Yuko was his technician, and she was absolutely wonderful (highly recommended!). Vikki was my facial technician, and I felt more relaxed with her massage than the RMT. Overall we spent $1300 including taxes and grat. I would love to return because I’ve always told my friends this is my favorite Spa. However, I’m still not convinced it would be anytime soon since I will be pregnant for a while and I would not want to have the same RMT experience.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Shangri-La for our 10 year anniversary. We had Joey and Takako for our massages and they were absolutely amazing. We will definitely coming back and recommending them both! Thank you for a relaxing and wonderful massage Joey and Takako!!

We went for the couple's retreat package and it was worth every penny. Will visit again later this year for sure ????

I had an RMT massage with Mandy and oh my god she is the best masseuse i've ever had the pleasure of meeting in my life! I've been to quite a few spas in my life but she is hands down the best. My back feels absolutely amazing and she is solely to thank for that. She was so kind and warm from the very start and so sweet that after my massage she gave me (and my mother & godmother) complimentary champagne. I will definitely be coming back here for my massages from now on. Highly recommend her! The spa environment in general is amazing as well and incredibly relaxing.

They use unregistered masseurs working there. We had 90 minutes treatments and paid $610 for 2 persons. The massage job is horrible, unprofessional and leave both my friend and myself with hurt neck and sore back for 3 days. They pressed on a wrong spots all the time. Their massage is like what your kid can do for you at home for free. I couldn’t believe such expensive spa are hiring unregistered lousy massage therapists that could hurt your body. The good thing about them is their room are relaxing and cozy. Does it worth for the price? No Go somewhere else for massage If you want a real massage.

There was hair on the walls of the shower. I was waiting for a while when I got there and no one was there. Massage was okay at best. Would not recommend.

I really enjoyed my RMT massage yesterday. Pretty sure his name was Colin. He was super nice and friendly. Hes extremely informative and REALLY knows his stuff. Just from previous injuries and being a new mom, I haven't been treating my body the greatest so I was in for a real surprise ♡ Having the shower before the massage was awesome! Felt so refreshed, especially after being out in the hot sun! Colin used a good amount of pressure and my body (especially my shoulders and neck) felt so relaxed after. I was actually able to sleep comfortably last night without being in pain. Thank you!!!!! Will be back in the future!

The spa was great, excellent massage. However, pretty weak that after spending $600 on treatments they would not cover a $13 valet charge. Bizarre for a 5-star establishment.

Weekends are for lounging on a rooftop spa with your tea, snacks, and book! I miss the days when the spa facilities were open. This is one of the post-covid activities I really look forward to! This is probably one of my favourite hotel spas in the city. The rooftop pool and hot tub area is cozy, but it never seems overcrowded. I like to go on weekdays to get a tiny discount and to maximize time to myself. I also loved when Market by Jean-Georges was downstairs, because you could order food directly from them. The food prices were not skyrocket high either. On this day, I ordered a pizza. They have a good variety of snacks, friendly staff, and great RMTs. When I last checked, they only have male RMTs, but I hope this changes soon. The private treatment rooms are a dream, each with their own vanity, shower, bathtub, and fireplace. I just wish they'd give you time to take advantage of the room before or after treatments. For now, I'm working on weekends, so I have to hold on to memories like these. I had an amazing session at Chi. I opted for the Aroma Vitality massage and was booked into one of their spacious treatment suites. It started with a tea service and foot bath, followed by a refreshing private steam shower to loosen up my tight muscles. The therapeutic massage was the perfect way to finish off a hectic week, and I even ended up dozing off towards the end. I'd highly recommend this spa for a massage, and I can't wait to check out their huge couples suite on our next visit.

Edit: Upgraded from 4 to 5 stars due to some amazing service from Ayesha. The family has been going there quite often in the past few months and she has been absolutely wonderful to them. Everyone feels super relaxed and refreshed after a massage from her! Original Review: Amazing atmosphere! Its a shame that most people who live and visit Vancouver won't be able to see this place due to the intimidating price point. Nevertheless, if you have the cash to spare this is an amazing place to relax and get pampered.

A bit of a mixed experience. When my wife and I go to a spa we like to arrive early to have a hot shower and steam. Unfortunately they had us fill out the paperwork then asked to wait until the RMT came to get us. The treatment rooms are fully setup with change areas and showers to get ready. That said I'm hear to get a 60 minute message not spend that time in the shower. So you feel like your in a rush to get changed to get this started. Not the best start. My RMT was first class, very knowledgeable, and addressed all the items I came to get treated. We did bring our bathing suits so after out treatments we jumped into the hot tub and enjoyed some relaxing down time. Heading back into the main change rooms I was very disappointed that their was no steam room and the sauna was miniature, two people get tight three people is a crowed. I say it was a mixed experience because the facility shows they spared no experience with some items then completely missed the boat with others. I normally go to the Fairmont Pacific Rim and still think it's a step above. I know this all sounds snobby or supper picky but if your going to spend this kind of money its all about the details.

Best ambience. Luxurious amenities. Massage suites are decadent. Services are top notch. Rooftop patio has cool vibe. Round beds provided with towels and blankets and cocoon covers offer privacy. Love this place.

Amazing spa experience, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The massage therapist was attentive and wonderful. Overall my best spa experience in the city. Well worth the price.

Just dropped 185$ at this place and it was worth every penny. The service was wonderful and I feel like a whole new person.

Excellent customer service. It looks just like the pictures. Very fancy and sophisticated. They have a small swimming pool overlooking the Keg, Sauna, and Gym is well maintained. It’s pretty cool place to chill and spend your whole day in quiet with multiple options so you don’t get bored. Must try it once (:

Was a little hard for me to find the valet/reception as it is underground and I drove past it the first time. What an oasis. Beautifully appointed, world class service.

This is my favorite spa in town and even though it costs more its tottally worth it. Massage and service were great, and the massage rooms are amongst the best in BC. The pool is pretty small but the hot tub and steam room were nice.

I would highly recommend trying the Chi spa. This review is actually coming a bit late as I couldn't find the card but Ayeshe gave me a fantastic body scrub and scalp massage treatment. She is super friendly and nice.

Been to the spa few times, within the last few months. My first experience wasn’t pleasant at all. If it wasn’t for the service provided by the RMT Collin, I wouldn’t have had returned. Got myself a regular RMT who knows how to treat a body. If your looking for a RMT Collin at Chi, I would highly recommend him.

My favourite place to treat myself! Chi is pure serenity. As soon as I exit the elevator and see and hear the water feature, I instantly relax. The massages I’ve received are always top notch. They get the knots right out and I feel like a whole new person afterwards.

Beautiful spa. The massage, body wrap and facial I had were incredible. I also really enjoyed that everything was in its own private room with private bathroom & steam.

Great service ! Will definitely come back again.

Kristina Mullan

AMAZING ambience and service!!! Staff were very helpful and polite. But main drawback is how small the pool and the jacuzzi were and the food was very pricey.

Abilene Muraro

The best Spa in the city, amazing service, attendants are lovely and massages are more than just relaxing! Enchanted experience! Must go place for Spa lovers.

Cheryl Davis

Love the spa but agree the pool is small. Workers are very polite

I booked an RMT prenatal massage which was below average compared to industry standards. The RMT was not nearly as experienced as other spas I've been to. He didn't set up the pregnancy mattress until 5 mins into my massage as he assumed I'd want a side massage for an hour. Don't waste your time or money here. I have experienced the Fairmont Vancouver Pacific Rim's prenatal massage as well as the Encore Spa (las vegas) and these were experienced, 5 star spas specialized in prenatal massages. The technique was almost identitical. The Chi spa experience is amateur andthey need to upgrade their skills and talent.

Best body wrap and facial I have ever had! Amazing staff and hospitality. Next time I am in Vancouver I will be back.

I had a nice massage and I enjoyed the rain shower and ginger tea.

We had a very bad experience at Chi Spa at Shangri-La Vancouver. The products they used were smelling as if they had expired and the message quality was below average. I wish I could get my $1500 back.

Fabulous! My mom and I booked the Suite Spa package so we each had our own private treatment room with a massage table, private steam, shower, bathroom and changeroom. The suites have beautiful large jacuzzi tubs but their use is not included in the package unless you purchase it as an add-on. Rooms are lovely with gas fireplaces. They have shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers but no lotions, hair dryers or anything else because of COVID. Massages were divine and the face mask made our skin very soft and smooth, even the day after! Wonderful staff, they gave my mom a little gift as it was her birthday. They accept WaySpa giftcards, just phone ahead to let them know. It's a 2 hour package which includes a 1h massage, 15 min steam, and tea service. My only wish would be to have had another 15-30 minutes in our rooms so that we could have had a longer steam (or a steam before and after the massage) and a comfortable amount of time to enjoy the tea, then shower and change at our leisure. 2.5h would be perfect but I can't complain, we loved our experience and would recommend it to anyone. Best spa experience we've ever had!

I had looked into going to the Chi Spa after hearing how they offered private services - private steam, private room etc. So, I decided to book myself a birthday spa day. I got a hot stone massage - a great service for people who have bad circulation and are always cold! Also very good for anyone getting over a cold (I was at the time and it made me feel so much better!). My masseuse was SO sweet, she made me feel very comfortable and relaxed - I definitely plan on going back and requesting her. I believe her name is Amyesh - I'm probably wrong on the exact name but I did not see a business card of hers to grab! The front desk lady was also very helpful. At first they didn't have my size of shoe so she searched endlessly for one that fit me so that I would have an enjoyable experience. During my day there, the staff definitely made my experience the best! The pool and the hot tub outside are a plus as well! I think next time I will opt to use the fitness facilities before my massage (I didn't know we could) and then go into a nice afternoon of bliss and relaxation!
