The technician I had complained to me how she doesn't like her job and how Torontonians do not tip as well as when she worked in Vancouver. I came here for a relaxing experience but it turned into an awkward experience. I was expecting the gel manicure to take an hour (as that's what my coworkers said how long it takes) and I spent 2 hours. The chairs need to be more comfortable if the service is to take that length of time. And as for cleanliness, the technician shook the towel off (with dust flying everywhere) and then had me do my manicure on a dirty towel. I can't imagine the tools or how dirty the drawers are when she pulled out the supplies. The edges of polish by my cuticle were not clean or pressed down properly as my hair would get caught underneath the polish (when I would move it away from my face) after I left that day. Only plus side is they have colour changing polish.

I love Nebula and I hope it can survive throughout the pandemic. If you want a great pedicure, this is the place. I have never had better included foot massages than at Nebula - the ladies here spend what feels like a long time on each foot and leg and I always feel completely relaxed during it. The pedicures are always gorgeous as well and they have a great selection of colours.

Awful. I asked to keep my length and she cut all my length off, made my nails all uneven and round when I specially kept saying squared and flat. Then the nail polish application just got worse, I tried to ask someone to fix it 3 times and they would barely touch it up, nail polish all over my cuticles and fingers and after an hour and a half I got fed up and just asked for a refund and they refused. Awful experience, the worst manicure and terrible customer service.

Staff is lovely and they do a detailed pedicure BUT the only thing is they leave polish around your skin instead of taking acetone on a qtip to clean it up. I end up doing it myself at home but I shouldn’t have to when I’m paying for a pedi!

I’ve never have I ever been to a nail salon and think to myself “I can’t wait to leave.” I can say they did a horrible job and charged $65 for washing my feet and putting a top coat on my nails. I Do not recommend if you want value for your money. Will never set foot in this business again. My appointment lasted 25 mins and 15 mins of that was waiting for stuff to dry. For a mani/pedi that’s quite embarrassing. They should be ashamed.

I started coming here as the salon is very close to my office. I keep coming as the prices are great and the service is excellent. I love that they do threading. My eyebrows have never looked better and are perfect every time. Great for manicures and pedicures too. Although they take walk ins, if you plan to go during a peak time like lunch or after work, it is best to make an appointment.

Quick and pleasant service! I got a pedicure and shellac manicure. Both have lasted about two weeks now without any chipping! By now my shellac tends to peel, so this was definitely one of the best manicures I've gotten in the city. Only giving four stars though because the location felt a little worn down. I think a little could be done to make the space feel more uplifting. Otherwise, very satisfied.

I went for removal of dipping powder and then regular polish replacement. I was surprised that she chose to remove all the dipping powder with the machine since it's so abrasive on the nail, but she was fairly careful. Then she used a coarse nail file on top of the nail, leaving it badly damaged with deep lines. I thought it was a buffer or I'd have stopped her sooner. No base coat was used, and even with two coats of regular polish and a top coat you can still see the deep lines in my nail. She also cut my finger with the nail clippers but it wasn't a bad cut. I already have very weak nails and am so frustrated at the time it's going to take to grow out thick nails again.

So disappointing. I got a full set of nails done at Nebula while I was visiting friends in Toronto. They looked beautiful for about 3 days and then they started looking shabby. I thought it was the colour I chose so I went to the nail place near my house and the technician was horrified. She peeled all of the nails off with ease. My nails were WET underneath. If I had left them on any longer, they would have started to mold. If I lived in Toronto, I would have gone back to get them fixed or request a refund, but I don't so I couldn't. I'm really disappointed. Terrible experience.

MY WORSE NAIL JOB EVER! My first time to this salon. I called for an appoinment for a fill. Did not know they only use gel filler until it was too late....so I had no choice but to continue. On top of that, the end product was bumpy and uneven, and looked worse than pasted on nails, upon pointing this out, she said, I don't see what you mean. The next day I went to another salon to fix it.

1. The lady who did my nails was very unprofessional. Didnt know how to use the machine to remove the shellac so she did manually and buffed my nails toooooo much, hurting my nails and my cuticles. I almost screamed while se was doing manicure. 2. The other lady who did an extension on my tumb also didnt know what she was doing. I have attached an image, the one of the right is an extension and the left one is my real nail. It was too late for me to get up and leave.

$45 for shellac polish (no manicure) and acrylic take off ... guess nails are more expensive when the salon doesn’t do acrylic nails. I don’t recommend going here unless you have natural nails or just want shellac.

Nebula is a no frills nail and beauty salon that recently got a well needed interior upgrade. I have been coming here for a few years now and love the staff and how they're always accommodating my schedule and walk-ins. Recently renovated with marble floors and tables, this spa is more economical than other nail places. Unlike other nail salons, they don't do your toes and nails at the same time. They separate both services which gives them more time to do them with care (albeit takes more time). For Mani (shellac French nails), pedi and brow threading, I allot about 1.5 hrs in my day. Their pedi chairs are comfortable with massage capabilities. Added with a little foot and hand massage for your services, you really can't go wrong coming here. The staff are all about evenly skilled and very nice overall. Sometimes a little disorganized but always makes time for you.

Do not even think about this place for shellac! I was new to shellac and didnt know much at the time and this place was a total fraud!!! I went to this place for a shellac manicure, the technician used the CND bottom coat but after I started to look at the polishes that she used that had the Gel II engraved, I thought it may be a different shellac, and was expecting her to use the CND top coat on top bit to my surprise she told me it was done, I came out and started searching for the GEL II, and realized it is gel and not shellac! With more research I figured a lot of salons sell their customers gel over shellac! And customers with no knowledge would never understand it. I went back and asked them for a repair when she insisted that what she used was shellac, she showed me the Gel II BOTTLE AND TOLD ME THIS IS THE SAME AS SHELLAC!! When a technician seems not to know the difference between a 5$gel and 20$shellac then I live the judgement up to you!

The place is impeccable. Very clean, the staff are all wearing uniforms and are very nice. One lady brought her newborn to the salon and the owner was actually holding her baby for her so she can get her nails done. They also respect the time of appointments. BUT, the work on my nails is just okay! As you can see when she applied the gel she didn't go all the way in and now I have a gap between the skin and the nailpolish (this picture was taken on the same day) the shape is very amateur. One can easily achieve the same result by themselves.There was also a lady next to me with long nails and the look they did on her was nothing to brag about. The mani+pedi took around an hour. When the lady was doing my nail I told her to push the skin and cut more of the cuticules so she started pressing the cuticule pusher on my nails very hard instead of just pushing the skin. If you have high standard of cleanliness and low expectations on the nail job this place is perfect!

Came back for a second visit after an amazing first time experience (the shellac on my fingernails didn't chip at all, even after I had to finally cut them shorter). My second mani visit was poor. I saw a different technician because my original one wasn't in. The shaping was uneven even after I requested that it be redone and after her second pass, she told me it was "even from her view". I had to shape them myself at home, and now I worry the shellac won't last as long at the tips. I'd like to go back and see my original technician, but I can't say I recommend seeing Sue.

Worst salon ever! The job is extremely bad such as the way to receive and treat clients. My shellac is already leaving after a week. I had to ask her to make sure that my nails were the same size, massage was extremely quick. She also asked me if it would be possible for me to have a regular manicure as her appointment was coming soon. Sorry? My feets and nails are not clean at all. I would have probably done better by myself. Don't waste your money. I'll never come back.

Had a regular manicure done. Technician did not seem to understand the shape I wanted, even after explaining it in more than one way and demonstrating it to her. After accepting the reality it wasn’t gonna be quite what I wanted, I ok’d the tech finishing the job. The thing that really smarts though is that after “checking” the work was done and sending me on my way I immediately realized the work was still completely soft. I didn’t get 2 blocks from the park before half my nails were dented and wrecked. Not really sure what I just paid for, but I won’t be back.

I received such a terrible manicure here. The manicurist did not shape my nails, and put on only two coats of shellac gel. Within 48 hours I had chips on two nails, and within four days one of the nails had completely lost its covering. No one should get their nails done at Nebula.

I visited Nebula Nails this morning and had a very pleasant experience. I called ahead because I didn't have an appointment and they were able to accommodate me. I got a gel manicure, and its one of the best manicures I have ever gotten. I have a problem with picking at my cuticles, and recently its been worse than normal, and the woman who did my nails did an incredible job from start to finish. I am from the States but if i ever find myself in Toronto again I would definitely visit Nebula!
