The SECOND time my hair stylist is not at the business for my appointment!!! First time she was buying a car and was late getting to my appointment. Don't not make an appointment if you are not going to be there! I rushed to get there and waited until I heard the receptionist answer the phone telling my hair stylist I'm there..waiting and to hurry up. Then for the receptionist to ignore me and not tell me there will be a Wait for her to arrive. I left.

I have received various services with Terra Nova and have been satisfied each time. The staff are attentive, professional and kind! Recently, I got my hair done for the first time at this salon with Stefauna. I wanted a colour correction from a box dye I had done. Stefauna exceeded my expectations. I am very happy with the results and I would recommend her! My red-toned box dye job is now corrected and the colour we achieved is beautiful! :)

Employees are really friendly and they ask for your suggestions before the haircut. Standard and small interior room with a lots of dedicated young groups working to make you look great. Even though it is slightly priced, but worth it a try. Highly recommend this place????

Great friendly staff. Although when I went for my laser hair removal consultation I was told that I would be able to get the discount even if I paid each time I went (I have a family and 3 kids so this made a lot more sense for me) , only to be told afterwards that I would have to pay for the 1000$ package upfront to get the discount and ended up paying 170$ for one session instead of the 100 I was previously told I would pay....needless to say I was not impressed and feel kinda ripped off. This doesn't reflect on the care I received by the esthetician, she was wonderful and very helpful.

Prices are outrageous especially for Mens pedicure. I got a manicure here twice and the second time I had to return because my nails turned bubble gum pink. Although they didn't charge me to fix my nails it was still inconvenient that I had to go back and spend another 2 hours letting them fix it. I wouldn't recommend now that I've tried out other salon and spas in Thunder Bay.

Kayla absolutely saved my hair!! A different Stylist at a different salon burned my long hair & turned it orange. But Kayla saved my hair and I left with a beautiful light brown color!! I'm so happy and grateful!! I live in Fort Frances but I will always come here for hair appointments! ????

I wish I could rate it higher, I was so impressed. I've never been before, so I booked myself with the first person available, who happened to be Rachel. As it turned out, she was perfect for the hairstyle I wanted, a stylish bob. She walked me through everything, took her time and was very meticulous. I was very happy with the staff and experience, I'm definitely going back to ????

I booked an hour hot stone massage. Showed up to my appointment and was told the stones would be 15 minutes to heat up. Ok no problem. Upon entering my room the so called masseuse said she could deliver a hot stone massage but only a relaxation massage. Ok no worries. Well she clearly wasn't a masseuse she tickled my back and legs for an hour. It was also so loud up there from everyone else that was in for whatever. There is no way anyone could have relaxed. I'd rather have paid my child 80 dollars to tickle my back. Never again.

Jackie is such an amazing stylist. I showed her a picture of what I’d like and she went way beyond my expectations. She was so friendly and made me feel so confident when I was done. Michelle at the front desk had quite a challenge with three workers suddenly ill. She handled it with aplomb exchanging a facial for a complementary foot paraffin which was a better option for worn feet plus a peppermint scrub gift. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the nail treatments and plan to spa at Terra Nova when we rendezvous in town.

Jan - $167.91 feb - $209.72 March - $72.80 June- $198.46 July -$241.65 sept- $129.30 nov - $256.34 so = $1276.18 and 6inches of hair loss later ... this place is overpriced as hell and their website prices do not match once you are at the till paying. I gave clear examples of what I wanted with pictures and every time I came out It was not what I asked for when I walked in. Even when making an appointment , they called me 4 times in an hour to keep switching the time. YES call me stupid for continuing to go back, they say trust the process trust the professional.. but trust yourself and save your money...and hair

Rushed bleach application/uneven foil application (resulting in dark patches), improper blending, overcharged 72$ for half an inch trim. They attempted to rectify the situation by offering to "fix" it for free by the same lady (Jackie) who did it incorrectly in the first place, even though I did not want her touching my hair again. Owner made excuses for his stylist, then went ahead and made up imaginary prices to try to justify her overcharging me 72$ for half an inch trim. - Alice Napash

Stylists are great, but I’ve gotta say, the receptionists are rude as HELL, especially one in particular by the name of Michelle. If you ever get her on the phone, just hang up, because she’ll cut you off as you’re trying to speak, have attitude with you, and treat you like you’re trash. How on earth she’s still employed there is beyond me, and it really puts the business in a negative light. Would have very much continued my business here, but I switched to a different salon where their receptionists actually value you. Don’t bother spend your $100, $180, $300, whatever price they give you at the time for the exact same service you get every time. The biggest joke of a salon I’ve ever been to.

I am not writing this review on the talent of the stylist, otherwise I would not have sent so many of my friends and aquaintances to see her...rather, I am writing this review about the OUTRAGEOUS, outlandish, totally absurd pricing schemes she places on all her clients. Jesse a JUNIOR stylist of a mere two years experience throws out phrases like "colour correction" and "triple process" in hopes of confusing her client and having them pay her $25, for this and $25 for that all totalling up to an average of $300 dollars for a basic trim, highlights and toner on an already light-haired female with mid length hair. This has now happened to myself and five other people and I just had to write this in protest to women getting ripped off by mediocre hair stylists all over the region and in particular this salon. When will it end?

I went in to get my hair done yesterday, and the end result didn’t turn out quite as I was expecting, although it was gorgeous, just not at all the style I was looking for. Me being very timid about confrontation, left a review, stating that the customer service and hair service was great, just the end result was an issue. The salon got into contact with almost immediately after wards to rectify the situation and make sure I came out with hair I liked. I went in initially on Monday, and am going back in on Thursday to get the hair fixed. As someone who doesn’t deal well with expressing when I’m not satisfied, they were very kind and understanding, and helpful upon seeing my review, and eased any anxiety I had towards the situation.
