We have had our hot tub for about 3 years but the cover that came with it was ripped apart after few wind storms and lots of cold snowy weather, so it was time to order a new one. We chose northern hot tub covers because they were the top choice on google search, made in Canada and the reviews were awesome. I had a few questions about how to do the measurements for the new cover and I was able to speak directly to the owner Dave. He was great to deal with, very patient and walked me thought the whole order form, he even stayed on the phone to confirm he received my order and that everything was correct. I can’t wait to receive the new cover. We went with the total upgrade, but I am most excited about the 5 year warranty! I will definitely order my next cover through them, but hopefully it won’t be for a very long time.

Honestly, if you are looking to replace your Hot tub cover, shop here with confidence! The easy way to go is ordering through the hot tub dealer, but I was convinced I could get a better cover for the same, or less, $$. My BIGGEST fear was getting the measurements wrong but, as it turns out, it’s pretty easy. The great thing with NHTC, the owner, David, is happy to talk to you and walk you through all the steps. He was the deciding factor when I finally made the decision. Great customer service makes such a difference and it’s obvious that David get this. I also want to say that the NHTC website is a big selling point. It’s easy to navigate and to the point. It gives you no nonsense information without crazy claims aimed at sales. The approach here is obvious; honest information, great customer service and an awesome product!! Yes, I should get to the cover itself. I went with the ‘Ultimate’. I wanted good all season durability, and better efficiency. (Again, David walked me through this and answered all my question without any big ‘up sell’) The cover arrived and is gorgeous! It’s light (probably feels that way because the old one is likely water logged! Haha) and super high quality. MUCH nicer looking than the one from the dealer, and I expect it to have the efficiency I am looking for in an upgraded cover. To be clear, I searched many cover companies online before settling on Northern Hot Tub Company. I truly recommend them.

After doing much research to find a new hot tub cover, I decided to call Northern Hot tub covers, so glad I did. I called instead of ordering online as I was very nervous on my measuring skills and didn’t want to mess up on such a large purchase. David answered the phone and totally put me at ease. He was very knowledgeable & talked me through the measurements and different options. Like everything else, Covid has things coming in a bit slower, I’ll leave a follow up review when I receive it, but so far, customer service is premium!!

Horrible cover and worse service. All started with listing as free shipping but turned out not the case to the North. Shipping from Vancouver to Whitehorse is no more difficult than northern BC. I have noticed the web site now says they don't ship to the North. Once it arrived it fit well and was very light. We noticed warm air escaping out the corners of the tub along the seam. Tried adjusting it several times. Then we had a light dusting of snow and noticed that the snow melted along the seam and at the ends. (See pictures) On a cool day if I placed my hand on the tub it felt warm, so heat is escaping!!!! I reached out to Dave, "my original contact", and received no answer. I sent another email with again no answer and have tried calling with no call backs. We have gone back to our original cover but have the new one sitting here. I have requested a warranty (as advertised) but again no answer. Still hoping to hear something from someone

Had potential but the owner would not fix his mistake. My first cover came the incorrect size.I then had to repackage and ship the old one back as well as pay for the new one and wait for a refund. Ages later the new cover arrives and was built poorly The skirt was stiched on two inches under the size I asked for and now does not fit my tub properly. This was contrary to the first cover where the skirt was sewn perfectly along the edge. He has now told me that covers that are 2" off are properly built. I would not recommend using his service.

My family calls the cover we received the "Evaporator" model. It does not sit evenly on 3 of the 4 corners, and we are losing enough water to require a top up of 3-4 inches of water weekly. Furthermore, due to the ill-fitting cover, Icicles form during the winter, and it drips all around our hot tub forming ice, and creates a slipping hazard. If water is evaporating, heat must be escaping as well, driving up heating costs. In an attempt to solve this problem, I tried putting weights on all four corners with the hopes that it would flatten out in time, but that did not work. The issues seems to be that the topsheet of the cover is too tight for the inserts, and this tension causes the corners to flip up slightly. I kept my old cover, and did a test, and the issues I noted went away when I used my old cover. Clearly, the replacement cover did not fit properly. I understand that sometimes problems happen, but it is how they handled it that was the big disappointment for me.They never once returned my phone calls to their 1-800 number, and they sporadically responded to my emails. In the end, my concerns were categorically dismissed. Overall, a very disappointing experience and based upon my experience, I would not recommend them. Shop around, there are better choices in the market. Ideally, shop locally, where you actually have some recourse in case you ever have an issue.

Ordered new cover to replace our worn-out 10-year old cover. Of course i waited till Sept 10 and ordered same time that everyone else is ordering new covers for winter. Given the high volume of orders along with Covid issues affecting evrything out there, delivery was projected to be 8 to 10 weeks based on aforementioned combined with fact that ours being a more custom-fit. Our tub is a Dynasty Caspian with raised speakers in 2 corners of tub. Once the order was placed David sent me a template with detailed measurements for the sculpted cut-outs. The measurements did not match our old cover and i was worried. I contacted David and he was comfortable with his measurements as he's made many of these in the past. He reviewed my measurements and pictures i sent him and he determined our original hot tub seller supplied us with the wrong cover (one for a Posieden versus Caspian). No wonder I was loosing so much heat !!! The original Dynasty cover had vinyl flaps (like elephant ears) at the 2 speaker corners that over time ripped to shreads and also ripped the cover itself. David stated his cover is made differently as it had raised insulated covers for the speakers that are actually velcroed to the cover thereby eliminating the tearing issue. Cover arrived in Winnipeg on November 16 just shy of 10-weeks. We are extreemly pleased with the quality, workmanship and fit of the cover. Great Job !!! In addition, subsequent to placing the order for the cover we contacted David and ordered the Cover Cap which is a 8ft X 8ft X 12 inch cover that fits overtop the hot tub cover much like a fitted mattress cover and provides protection from the ellements of the spa cover itself. A small price to pay for the additional protection it provides. I had some initial reservations making this on-line purchase for a new hot tub cover but in the end have absolutely no regrets. Very competitive prices to-boot. Very Satisfied Customer !!!

I needed a new hot tub cover. To ensure I get quality at a good price, I talked to a number of on-line suppliers and to sales people in a few spa equipment stores in my area. I was surprised to learn how little many of the people I talked to knew about hot tub covers. I became frustrated with their inability to answer many of my questions, and their arrogance. After doing a lot of research, I ordered my hot tub cover from Northern Hot Tub Covers, not only because of the great price, but also because David was by far the most knowledgeable and most accommodating person I talked to. He took a lot of time and patience to make sure I understood precisely what I was getting. Unfortunately, an error was made and I did not receive what I ordered. When I informed David of the error, he was very apologetic and suggested a numbers of alternatives to resolve the issue which were fair and reasonable beyond my expectations. Errors are made, but the true test of a good supplier is how the error was handled. David’s customer service and follow-up was outstanding. He ensured that I was 100% satisfied. I strongly recommend buying from Northern Hot Tub Covers not only for the price and dealing with knowledgeable people, but mostly because of how well they treat their customers when on occasion things do not go smoothly.

Ordered a cover last minute in October after a bad experience with another online cover manufacturer, waiting for months and receiving a terrible product. I called and they answered right away. I paid for rush order and I was very pleased with how fast they processed the order especially with Covid. The customer service is top notch, responsive, easy to contact and very knowledgeable. The new cover arrived well packed in perfect condition. The materials are better than stock and it fits perfect with no gaps.
