I was excited for my Sandal Ready Pedicure that my wife surprised me with here, and Annabelle did not let me down! This was the best pedicure that I have had. The environment, staff, becerages and desserts were all amazing! They provided you with herbal teas, an assortment of David's Teas, baked, not store bought brownies, coffee, and water. My wife and I both love it here and will be returning!

I went from a physiotherapist in Dartmouth to an osteopath at spirit spa and it was a totally different experience. The price was obviously much higher, but seems worth it. As a 37 year old dude who'd never been to a spa before I have nothing to compare it too, but I'm glad I've gone. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, atmosphere is good.

I had a massage with Kate and it was amazing! She made sure I was comfortable and happy with everything she could before we began and it was a great massage. The space itself is beautiful with separation between area for hair services and body treatments so you feel very secluded in a quiet space. There are also plenty natural body and hair products they sell for browsing. And they have an outdoor patio that seemed nice although it was off season for the time I visited.

Mediocre. The esthetician I had appeared timid and uncomfortable to perform a body scrub treatment. Weirdly focused on the paper panties. Made the experience subpar.. She's on the wrong career path. I would like to add, the manager contacted me and was amazing!! She listened to my experience openly, accepted the constructive criticism and I honestly believe she will offer more training to her employee to ensure others experiences are wonderful. She also sent me products and offered a free service next time in the area.

I have been going here for my massages and by far it is the best experience I've had. ThllThe person who does my massage is amazing, listens to when I may feel it's too hard, and adults accordingly. The experience is amazing, and the showers are heaven! (Waterfall showerhead is AMSZING) and I get to swim in the pool before or after treatment. A++

We enjoyed our first couples massage at Spirit Spa this weekend, and it was incredible! The staff were knowledgeable, accommodating, and pleasant. It was a beautiful experience that had us feeling wonderful for days after. We will definitely return. The massage rooms are tranquil and relaxing, and the decor of the spa added to rejuvenating feeling of being present. My masseuse used a lavender sage oil during my massage that was simply out of this world.

I go to Spirit regularly for various services and am always happy with it! The staff are friendly and professional. I like how they go above and beyond in making you feel at ease. They offer complimentary tea and coffee in the lounge area and often have brownies to go with it! The space is quite large so the rooms are private and you don't ever feel like you're on top of people when getting a mani/pedi. They recently started offering online booking which is super easy and convenient if you can't call in and the text message reminders are an awesome way to keep tabs on your appointment time. Spirit is more of an experience than just a service and I would recommend to anyone needing a little self-care!

I am new to town and went to Spirit Spa for the first time a few months ago and received good service. I have since attempted to book an appointment with them but had a tough time until today. I was booked for noon and arrived five minutes early. I was seated and told I would be attended to shortly. 30mins later I was still sitting there with no word from anyone why I was still waiting or follow up from reception. I had enough and walk to the front to let them know that my window for an appointment was to short and that I had to leave. They offered no explanation and but a simple "Sorry". I'm not sure what has happened since my first experience a few months ago but I will not be trying to go back to Spirit Spa again. Hope someone can reel the service back into where it was a few months ago.

After I hurt my back, my doctor prescribed massage sessions. I booked with Spirit Spa because it's close to my home. The masseuse they recommended was Brinleigh. She was ready right on time, and took me to a comfortable, softly lit room with new agey-celtic music. The room was very clean and tidy, as I would expect from a high-end spa. Brinleigh gave a fantastic massage. She focused on the sore muscle groups, of course, but didn't ignore the rest of my back and shoulders. She was gentle, but put the pressure on where necessary. By the end of the session, I could feel my lower back loose and painless. Or, in her words, "more like a muscle and less like a countertop". The next day I could walk normally again. I've seen Brinleigh again since and again the massage was amazing. She's very talented, very caring, and can offer charming conversation, too. I highly recommend her services.

The atmosphere in this spa is amazing, but I can’t justify getting another hair cut here again. Either my stylist didn’t know how to cut my hair or was in a rush, in any case, the cut felt lackadaisical. My stylist in NYC usually took 30-45 mins cutting my hair, going through every detail. But the stylist here took about 15-20 mins. After several days, I was still not entirely pleased with my haircut and ended up cutting my own hair where it was uneven. I would suggest to take your hard earned money elsewhere for a cut. (May 2019 - 2/5 stars) EDIT (August 2019): I had the opportunity to visit Spirit Spa a second time, and I’m glad I was able to. My hair stylist this time was Melissa - she was very friendly and she took the time to ask questions throughout the cut to make sure that it was exactly how I wanted it. This is the attention to detail I was looking for and I’m pleased with my cut this time around. This is a place that takes pride in what they do - thank you for a very pleasant experience!

This was my first time using the Spa Starer at here and it was an absolute delight. I made a few changes to the set starter which they had no problem with. I was able to go for a swim and enjoy the hot tub in the hotel pool (and I ended up having the place to myself!) before my massage. Maura gave me a wonderful deep Knot massage. Following, I received a Mud puddle wrap with a Eucalyptus scrub. It was DIVINE. The scrub was invigorating and smelled so fresh. The mud was chocolate and coffee scented and its heat felt amazing on my skin after the scrub. Kirsten was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly. Finally I had the pedicure which I was nervous about (ticklish feet!) but it was all very soothing and comfortable. Kirsten was lovely to chat with and did an excellent job with the wrap and pedicure. Overall a fabulous and very relaxing experience. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

I just received the Bumble and Bumble Hairspray I had ordered and have just opened the loveliest packaging I have ever seen. From the outside it just shouted elegance, and when I unwrapped the package you can tell it was put together with a lot of care, from the lovely hair product samples to the body oil and even a delicious chocolate. I go to Spirit regularly for massage therapy with Kielly Christie and she is THE BEST. I had a great experience lately where I was about 10 minutes late for my appointment. I was disappointed because I knew my massage would be cut short. However, Justin was able to push my appointment by 15 minutes so not only could I relax before my massage, I also got my full hour in. This kind of exceptional service is why I keep coming back to Spirit Spa.

This is one of the nicest spas in Halifax. I have had two pedicures here that were both excellent and worth the splurge. They use Deborah Lippman polish (which lasts forever) and are very thorough. My one complaint is that they don't have any nail dryers and did not offer nail oil to help protect nails from smudging. I got a pedicure in the winter and had to wait 45 minutes for the polish to dry, which then smudged when I put my socks on. A drying station would be helpful, or nail oil at a minimum.
