Went there for a massage last week, I had one spot in my back that hurts me, I ended up with a new spot that hurts. Now I have two spots really hurt my back. I communicated clearly about my spot in my back so she can focus on, but she kept focusing so hard on a spot that doesn’t bother me. I ended up with a sore neck until now I can’t move my neck or my back. I was rushed rushed rushed, very poor service and poor communication. Never ever going back again, never referring this place to any friends or family.

UPDATE: After involvement by the Financial Consumers Affairs Authority the company refunded 50% of the fee as a gesture of good will and customer service. Thank you. My company was using Hand and Stone Massage in Saskatoon. My feedback is the price is higher than everywhere else in Saskatoon. Actual massage is fine. There was a dispute during one of our transactions recently and I got a chance to speak to the owner. The owner is probably a fine person, but customer service is not important to him. This is resonated through many of the reviews. We should have done our research ahead of time. Lesson learned.

Hand and Stone graciously sponsored my Ringette team and donated to our fundraising efforts. I took a tour of the spa and was immediately relaxed as soon as I walked through the door. The atmosphere was SO calming, clean, and peaceful. Andrew was awesome to deal with and the rest of the front desk staff were very friendly! Can’t wait to get a massage of my own there soon!

So, few things I like to mention Good new place, clean rooms. But that is not the full story!! We had couple massage a week ago with Bobby and Ernest. That was the worst massage we ever had.. it was like pampering even after I requested more pressure.. (literally pampering!!!) They wasted whole bunch of time taking stones in and out. (For the Hot stone massage) we seriously had less than half of the time spent on the actual massage.. Now the real catch 1) we didn’t ask for the upgrade of 10 minutes and were upgraded to it and charged $30 for it. The prices are insane $100 each almost... for an hour introduction massage!!! 2) Bobby is not the massage therapist and we came to know after I submitted the claim to the Sunlife (she is a student).. they never disclosed that.. so sunlife won’t cover it!! And who charges full price for the student? Please explain!! 3) the small gratitude that you request starts with freaking 15% and go all the way to 30% Come on people gratitude is earned don’t ask for it!! We are done with hand and stone.. Please see some other reviews which mentions same thing as me.. @James (local guide)

Great massage. Good staff. I was coming for probably 6 months... But the management could be better. I do not recommend being a "member" and prepaying... It was harder than it needed to be for me to cancel my subscription and it felt like they are a bit aggressive to get your money. I think they need to be more considerate with the clients, and be more relaxed with the bill. I wouldn't recommend.

I called Hand and Stone as a last resort to help or get rid of a 4 day migraine. I was thinking there was no way of getting an appointment the same say. I was able to get an appointment an hour later. I was suffering immensely and tried a massage to see if it would eliviate my pain. Upon entering the facility I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who was very friendly. To my surprise they offer add-ons for a small fee to any massage package. When I saw the peppermint scalp massage I knew I had to go for it. Angela was my massage therapist and she did a wonderful job. When we entered the massage room I told her my concern with having a migraine and immediately without me asking she dimmed the lights to help me. She was very caring and kind. The massage felt amazing and the peppermint scalp massage reduced the migraine pounding tremendously. Once my massage was done, I felt a million times better. That night my 4 day migraine was gone. When I went to the front to pay, I signed up for the membership. I love how they have a points system where you receive a certain amount of money off your next service. Thank you, Angela and thank you Hand and Stone ! ????

Do not recommend to purchase a membership through this company. Not only did I make that mistake, I am still paying for that mistake *literally* when I cancelled my services over a month ago. My ex, booked a message. My name somehow got tied in because we go to the same place. They charged ME, as a no show when I did not show up. Yes… you read that right. A completely different customer who I have no tie to other than knowing him from past experiences, which I had disclosed to them, booked an appointment with Hand and Stone. When he did not show up and payment was not able to go through, they charged my card for some reason. The manager gave me his word after a lengthy conversation that it would be fixed. Yet. They then proceeded to send me to the collection agency. Hand and stone won’t return my calls as of now. I am a single mom, trying to maintain a good level of physical and mental health. Places that are money hungry like this, are exactly why people on a budget are afraid to spoil themselves. Make one wrong move, or just know the wrong person by association, you will be burned. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFO.

had a good experience at a good price. my massage therapist (I believe her name was Tracey) was professional, listened to my needs, and created a welcoming, safe, and relaxing environment. I will definitely be going back to her for my next massage. my only complaint was that the room my massage took place in seemed to be right next to (possibly) the washer and dryer, as there was a loud banging that sounded like a dryer running on and off during my appointment. I don't fault my massage therapist for this though, she provided excellent service and managed to keep the atmosphere relaxing despite this. hopefully my next appointment will have less outside noise, but overall I was happy with my massage.

During my 90 min “rub down” the “therapist”proceeded to spend 45 min of the experience pushing products that they get commissions for. After the massage when I went to go pay the receptionist spent 15 min pushing a massage subscription- they were doing this with everybody as I witnessed it while in waiting room (for 20 min mind you). 4. I told them no as nicely as possible, but she would not stop. She said I could cancel this if I changed my mind. I stupidly said ok, simply to get her off my back. The next day however I called to cancel this (just as I had planned!) In fact I even emailed to cancel as well. Apparently this was cancelled and I did not think anything of it. I was never charged so I assumed all was well. Several months later - I receive a COLLECTIONS LETTER FOR $335!!! For the so called massage subscription which not only did I never use but also cancelled immediately! I have attempted to make contact to discuss the situation but they simply ignore my phone calls and ignore my emails ….hopefully they will at least see this, but the entire thing was just malicious ,sneaky, disgusting and just a plain scam (and trust me I’ve seen a lot of them!). Anyhow, this was awhile back but I know the same people are working there and that the same people own the place so I assume nothing has changed. Just do your homework but I would definitely not go here if I were you! There is so many great ones! I could definitely name some but I don’t want people to think that I am competition hence the negative review.

She is an absolute pleasure and genuinely cares about the health and wellbeing of her clients. It's evident that she takes great pride in her work and is a skilled individual. Yesterday i called to see if i could get in for a prenatal massage this week and i got in today. I explained this is my first message ever and I don't know what to do & I asked if there was anything I should know before I come. The receptionist said nope just show up 5 to 10 minutes before your appointment to fill out some paper work. Great right? Well I showed up 10 minutes before my appointment and got my papers to fill out.. 245 rolls around and I'm brought in the back, I asked to use the bathroom quick then went in the room. I was then asked questions that I was previously asked on the paper work (which he had in his hands) that took up some time.. he then explained to me how to lay with the pillows on the bed and then came back in a couple minutes later when I was ready. By the time we actually got started it was 257 (there was a digital clock in my face) and by 330 he was out of the room massage was over. I then got dressed and left not thinking anything of it but then realized that it wasn't a 50 minute massage that I paid for. The massage was nice but short and I should of been told to come even earlier if it's based off my appointment time not the start time so I could have been told what to do when coming for my first message. I would have like the whole 50 minutes seeing as I paid for it and was really looking forward to a relaxing prenatal massage UPDATE: Very pleased I got a call from the owner willing to fix the problem from my last visit and credited me another massage :) thank you.

I felt comfortable and stress free through the whole thing. He even gave me tips and tricks to do daily. This is my go to place now!

I've been getting massaged for years and this place by far ranks the top of my list in the city! Kylie gives the most stress relieving massages and also relaxing ones when I just need some TLC. I had one appoint once that lasted 100 minutes and that was aaammmmaaazzing!!! It took me the first 40 minutes to relax completely, then the other half put me in a place of creative visualization that when I left I was able to follow through with ideas I've been contemplating. I had a burst of creative energy that lasted several days! I appreciate how clean the whole facility is. The bathrooms have real towels to dry hands with. It's quiet, the table is heated and I love that! I can keep going but, just go and experience what I'm talking about. You will be pleasantly cared for.

Hand + Stone Spa is the ideal relaxation destination in Saskatoon! The spa is located in a cute neighbourhood with plenty of parking. The atmosphere is calming, with a water fountain in the foyer + complementary lemon water. The teams host is such a sweetheart, she knew my name when I entered the spa! I am very impressed with this level of hospitality. I had the detox facial with Rowena + the experience was fabulous! The beds are heated + there is beautiful art in the treatment room! The products this spa uses for facials show immediate results! When I entered my skin was dull + breaking out, + when the treatment was finished my skin was radiant!!! Rowena was very knowledgable + gave me some great tips on skincare. This was the best facial I have ever experienced in Canada! The powder room was clean + used proper towels to dry hands with. I could keep going, however words cannot describe the feeling of pleasure I experienced + left with! All smiles! :)

Just had my first hot stone massage, with my massage therapist Tess. It was absolutely amazing. I feel incredibly relaxed and stress free. There was a great atmosphere, I felt very comfortable, and Tess was very friendly. I would 100% recommend coming here.

The Winner

This place is a bit more expensive compared to other massage therapy places. But on the plus side, they have same day appointments most of the time. They also ask for a tip, which I believe is not appropriate for a medical procedure (massage therapy). All in all, go here if you cannot book an appointment anywhere else.

Went for a Brazilian, full leg, and under arms and the esthetician left a considerable amount of hair on my body. For $115+tip, I expected better, especially when I have had the same done for much less. When I reached out to them on Facebook (with pictures on the strips of hair left on my legs, they said they would get back to me within 2 days with a solution. It has been a week and I haven't heard back, so I am leaving this review.

Clean, professional and good staff. All the staff are well trained and good at what they do. Weather its a facial or massage. No matter who your booked with your going to have a good time. Also the staff do an incredible job at keeping the spa clean and tranquil. All surfaces, counters, tables, linens, and walls are scrubbed between each person. Its literally one of the cleanest if not the cleanest place in the city. I trust them. The owner is also the nicest guy as well. 1000/10 would recommend. Also the skincare line works. I've used so manny in my day and this one works and is priced very fair for all the good it does.

0/10 Their website states that if a client needs to cancel an appointment due to Covid symptoms they would waive the 24 hour cancellation fee. This spa has failed to adhere to those statements and will charge regardless if you have Covid symptoms. I had to cancel to the dentist, a hotel and a this place. This business is the only business who had charged me a fee. They accused me of lying, wont return my calls and sent the fee to collections. Take my bill out of collections and fix this matter. The manager responded to this review but hasn't returned my phone calls.

The management has an awful customer service. I have been their customer for a year. I availed the membership since I like their massage services even though I have to drive 18mins and recommended it to my husband which he was also a member. One day, I phoned that I couldn’t make it because it was snowing hard and I’m not good at driving. The receptionist told me I can’t cancel and to top it off she said weather forecast is 14 days ahead and I should have known. I know that it will be snowing but can’t predict about the road visibility. I think its not nice to say it to a customer. They don’t value the customer just a money grabber. I would not recommend getting their membership. They will keep charging and if you miss an appointment like I did then it’s paying with no service not even a receipt. Also, in the past they phoned me that they don’t have a therapist available and have to cancel my appt and I was so understanding to them. We are no longer a member and definitely not recommending it anymore to our friends which we highly recommend them before.

I went for a sensitive skin facial. It was a port experience overall. I didn’t find my esthetician friendly and she had very hurried hands so it was not relaxing. My first facial with no face steamer which was disappointing. When my mask was put on the esthetician stood in the room for several minutes before starting the scalp massage. For the price definitely wasn’t worthwhile, unfortunately.

Christmas gift from our daughter for an hour hot stone massage and peppermint scalp, called to book an appointment, the receptionist told is for 50 minutes massage, asked daughter double check she said 100% is an hour, called back receptionist changed world to give us an hour, what a liar!!! finally went on sunday, got there 20 minutes earlier, try to be on time, by the time we got into the room, it was 5 minutes behind the our appointment, my massage therapist is not bad, but hubby's massage therapist is unprofessional, zero communication during the whole treatment, slightly touch don't even feel like massaging at all. A huge rip off. The massage was so so the first time when went with girlfriend. But then they overcharge beyond their "special price". Saying oh, we thought you wanted full hour. Then second time, as tried to give them a chance, they again over charge beyond what was asked. And this time the massage was non existent. Tried the hot stone, and they barely did any massage, all that was felt was the heat. Avoid this place. Looks good, but add charges without letting customers know, and massages are as if your kid moves their had around a bit on your shoulder.

Great massage. Good staff. I was coming for probably 6 months... But the management could be better. I do not recommend being a "member" and prepaying... It was harder than it needed to be for me to cancel my subscription and it felt like they are a bit aggressive to get your money. This place is great! I love that you can get in for a massage within 24 hours unlike many other massage studios around Saskatoon. I have seen several of the therapists here but the two that really stand out are Savannah and Ernest. Both are amazing at what they do and give you exactly the treatment you need. If you are looking for a RMT for an injury I highly recommend Ernest. I hurt my back at the gym and could barely function at work. he knew exactly what areas were causing the issues and I left feeling more relief than I was getting from the chiro and meds.

The atmosphere is calming, with a water fountain in the foyer + complementary lemon water. The teams host is such a sweetheart, she knew my name when I entered the spa! I am very impressed with this level of hospitality. I had the detox facial with Rowena + the experience was fabulous! The beds are heated + there is beautiful art in the treatment room! The products this spa uses for facials show immediate results! When I entered my skin was dull + breaking out, + when the treatment was finished my skin was radiant!!! Rowena was very knowledgable + gave me some great tips on skincare. This was the best facial I have ever experienced in Canada! The powder room was clean + used proper towels to dry hands with. I could keep going, however words cannot describe the feeling of pleasure I experienced + left with! All smiles! :)

Have had three massages with Dysen now. He is knowledgeable, professional, kind and very caring. He has the ability to combine his own knowledge with the information you are presenting to come up with a treatment that addresses your physical ailments and allows him to explain how or why your pain may be recurring. He is also willing and able to facilitate deeper massage through inclusive techniques such as increased heat and oils. I have recommended Dysen to several friends and will continue to do so. Outside of Dysen's amazing massages the entire staff has always been courteous, friendly and accommodating. I urge caution using this massage studio. My appointment was booked over the phone but when I showed up they didn't have me in the schedule. Staff didn't make an attempt to fix their mistake. I booked work off for this appointment making this situation worse. Scheduling mistake aside, I'm saddened by their lack of effort to make this better. A massage studio valuing their customer would make even some marginal attempt to improve the situation, which didn't happen. Their indifference was astounding.

This is my second visit to this place. I have had great service here. Two great massages in a comfortable and inviting environment. Parking can be less than stellar. Today it wasn't. Considering the fact this business is in a developing part of the city where businesses are popping up parking is not too bad. Back to the good stuff. The front staff are very hospitable. There is a great little water stand available for customer use. It had some nice fresh lemon cut up inside to give it that "little extra". The pricing seems a little out. I did feel like in order to get the best value for my massage was to sign up for the monthly service. Considering the level of service I received from the staff. Paying for a monthly massage is DEFINITELY worth the value. If you are looking for a place that will provide something more than just a run of the mill massage,this is the place. My therapist Ernest was very interactive when I was feeling chatty and he just stuck to business when I was breathing through some of the tough stuff. Very intuitive. Very knowelagable. The facilities at Hand and Stone are beautiful. Each of the rooms were very spacious and immaculately decorated, which gave off a soothing, relaxing atmosphere. Everything was very clean as you take your dirty shoes off at the door. The couple's room caught my eye as it would be perfect to treat your partner (and yourself) to a relaxing day or just take a friend. I wish I had pictures but you will have to go see for yourself! The customer service I received was excellent. The staff was very friendly and welcoming as soon as I walked in the office as they greeted me and asked if I wanted something to drink, asked how they could help, etc. I also received a quick response to a message I had left via email. This is quite a large facility, larger than most spas. They have roughly ten rooms and employ 25 registered massage therapists, perfect to get you in quickly for treatments that are often covered by many insurance programs. They also offer a variety of other treatments such as facials, waxing, and the growing field of aromatherapy. I highly encourage anyone in Saskatoon, especially those in the Stonebridge, Nutana, Adelaide/Churchill, and East View communities, to check out this not so little spa. You will not be disappointed.

Appointments are always on time, therapists alway discuss my needs beforehand and I always leave there feeling 100% better. Tristan is probably one of the best therapists I have ever had from any place although all the therapists I have had there are great. The membership is also such a great deal.

Do not recommend to purchase a membership through this company. A completely different customer who I have no tie to other than knowing him from past experiences, which I had disclosed to this business during massage sessions, booked an appointment with Hand and Stone. When he did not show up and payment was not able to go through, they charged my card. The manager gave me his word after a lengthy conversation that it would be fixed, but they instead decided to send me to the collection agency. Hand and stone won’t return my calls or make this right. I am a single mom, trying to maintain a good level of physical and mental health. Places that are money hungry like this, are exactly why people on a budget are afraid to spoil themselves. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR FINANCIAL INFO. You will regret it.

The therapist are skilled and professional. The facility is clean and well appointed. My only bone which is a BIG bone is their pricing. It's like 94.00 for 50 which comes up just about 120.00 with taxes and a nominal tip. Most places in the city is 75 - 85 per hour. Guess you do have a choice but I won't be going back or recommending.
