I was confident walking in, I've read the good reviews.. and I know to take the bad ones with a grain of salt. The staff aren't conversational, but friendly. They have ota of options, and colours. I had a pedicure which was done well, but although I was told it was dry it's got smudged already. I understand you have to be careful and I have been, but this doesn't seem even close to having hardened. I also had a gel nail manicure, and the design and polish is good, but the shape is really off, she took a lot extra off the side of one of my nails, the tops are ok. They are mostly smooth and not terribly thick. As of right now I don't think I'd ever go back though.

I've had my nails done here twice so far and they turned out very nicely. Prices are reasonable, and I haven't had to wait around. The woman works pretty quickly as well. Only negative is that the staff won't talk to you...it's a bit awkward :P

They won't speak English, the lady who have my wife a pedicure cut the side of her foot using the buffing stone. The lady did not even care and my wife had ask for a band-aid. No antiseptic put on and my wife's foot is now so sore she can't wear her shoes. No apologies offered. Very bad. Never go back!

Had shellac nails done, with chrome. Chrome started to peel off within 4 days. Went back and they redid my nails for free, which I was really happy about. Only thing that keeps them from getting 5 stars is the fact that they, with the exception of one lady, will not talk to you. Other than that, they do a pretty good job.

The young guy and girl there are good. But I can't say the same for the older lady. She rushed through my nails, the shape was horrible, there was lumps in my sculpted nails. She was rude and acted as if it was my fault when I asked her to fix some spots that looked bad. AND to top it off they were already lifting and falling off within the first week. Oh also, my one pinky nail is literally pointing upwards.

Thought to try a new place. I got shellac, and at the start I was happy. I got them done 3 hours ago and one has peeled pretty much off, the other has an air bubble underneath, and another has a small bump on it. There was only two working, and it got busy which I understand, but I probably will not return.

*EDIT* MY NAILS HAVE ALL CHIPPED AND ONE FELL OFF ITS BEEN ONLY A WEEK Very poorly done nails. I had to go in twice and I'm still dissatisfied. The older lady did my nails and she rushed through it the first time. Second tim she was rushing through it so I literally took the file and started trying to salvage these nails as best I could but they are still jacked up. Polish is streaky and bubbled and she got it on my skin. Will not reccomend or return here.

Beauty is pain. the lady who did my nails was really tough with the tools on my nails ... even to the point where I started bleeding, and even now, 2 hours after leaving the shop, a couple of my nails are still hurting. But hopefully it eases soon. Other than that, she did an amazing job. I'm obsessed with my nails! I accidentally hit my nail in the UV light pod to dry my nails and she fixed it up for me after I told her it was okay because it was my fault for messing it up. 4/5 only because it was a little painful getting my nails done and this isn't my first time at a nail salon, and i know there shouldn't be that much pain into. but other than that, very good service. would recommend but just a heads up for those with low pain tolerance like me haha

Not happy with the way they removed my acrylics (no acetone) just pried them off with a press on nail. Other than that they did a good job at making my nails look nice but I don't think I'll go back, not as clean as I'd like it to be and I really didn't like the way she took off the acrylics, I could've done that at home but didn't bc it hurts and damages the nails

By far THE WORST NAIL SALON IVE BEEN TOO ITS BEEN 6 days and I’ve been back to the nail salon for 2 new nails to be put on all my nails are crooked when I came to show them I got asked what I did are you kidding me!!!! My friend went here, was very unhappy with her acrylic nails. Asked for a coffin type shape, but the lady she had didn't know how. Nails were smudged by the worker. Friend has complained, the woman said it wasn't her fault, didn't fix them as requested. Won't be going here after a friends bad experience.

THIS PLACE IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT fairly recently and they are amazing !! My nails look beautiful and they took the time to fix the mess I got from a previous salon. If you've gone here before you should try it again because these owners are great and I'd hate to see them go under due to the bad rep of the previous owner. Thanks again! I've gotten so many compliments on my nails !

I would always come to this salon because I would always be the only customer there & never had to wait. Now I see why. I walked in and 3 workers were on their phone. I sat down for about a minute until someone finally looked up and greeted me. I was getting a new acrylic set. The man started quickly cutting my nails and cut my pinky nail so short it started dripping blood. He noticed and all he said was "oh". He couldn't get my old acrylic nails off so he kept sanding them off over and over and it burned. Will be finding a new salon

called in was able to get in the same day...I'm happy with my manicure and pedicure. One thing I do have to say tho is that it would've been nice if my hand massage didn't feel as rushed. I got the impression that the nail tech just wanted to hurry up and go.

I love this little hidden gem. I’ve been going now for 3 years. Always great service and friendly staff. If I don’t understand or they don’t understand me I just say hey Mama Bear ( the owner I believe) . She looks up and then she explains to the other ones what I need. Xo

Best nail salon in St Catharines! When I moved here I was debating between here and another place, but went with Kim and her super squad based on location, and so glad I did! Been in every two weeks for the last six months and I still recommend her to everyone. They always get to you quickly, they’re efficient and perfectionists when it comes to their extensions, and add fun little extras like a hand massage or a sugar scrub to their “basic” manis and pedis. Also limitless options in regards to how you want to amp up your look; chrome, jewels, matte, airbrush, hand painted designs, glitter - anything you want! The amount of compliments I get on my nails at work is just further proof to why everyone should come visit these guys!

I’ve been to many nail places, and this place tops all to me. I have gone multiple times and always love the outcome. They are not very talkative but very nice and have a great colour selection. I highly recommend as I haven’t had any issue that I’ve had at many other places:))

I have been to this place 3 times, and my nails always have turned out to be just as I expected- perfect. However, the customer service has been inconsistent. Recently, I got acrylics with regular polish, not shellac, and I asked for lotion or oil to moisturize my fingers and nails while drying my nails and the lady told me I’m not allowed to because I didn’t get shellac. Like?????? No other nail salon has denied me lotion because of not getting shellac. My previous two visits here I was accommodated very well with nail drying spray and then oil, but my third visit I was treated poorly. This also may be because 3 new customers came in for the first time. Oh and one nail isn’t straight. Overall, I will not be going back.

I've been to my fair of nail salon over the years. This was my first time going here, and I have nothing bad to say about it. I had been going to the same salon for 4 years but after the most recent experience I chose to try somewhere new. I am happy to say I found a new place that follows the procedures when it come to sanitation.

Hi, I am the owner of this salon and we are very appreciative and happy to serve customers with cuticle oil and a lotion massage but, do note that when customers only have an acrylic set with normal polish, we cannot apply it before or after because if you are a nail technician you would understand that if we did it before applying the normal nail polish then the polish would not stick to the nail and if we did it after then the nail polish would be ruined because we rub in the cuticle oil and as the normal nail polish is very fragile and wouldn’t dry fully it would ruin the nails look. (That is why we recommend shellac as it would last longer). However, If you have shellac then the nails would be completely dry and durable enough to do the lotion massage and cuticle oil. This has absolutely nothing to do with the customers it is just procedure that my salon doesn’t do the cuticle oil and lotion massage Thank you for reading and understanding our reasoning! - St Catharines Nails Spa Team

Amazing nail salon, been through all the local St. Catharines ones and this is by far the best one. Have had 3 refills now for acrylics and they are so strong and beautiful every time. The nail tech is truly talented and takes her time to get the best results! Very reasonably priced and super clean environment! Would highly recommend if in the area.

I have been going to this location for over a year. My nails always looks so nice. Post some of my favorites. They have so many ribbon designs. The pink and white ombre is probably my go-to. Posted my new set probably my favorite with the ribbon (they have a bunch of ribbons with different designs!!). They said there getting in 3D flower designs. I suggest getting shellac for $10 extra so nice not to worry about smudges. Price is reasonable. I would book an appointment they get busy sometimes during the day, usually busy after 5 when people get off of work. I would bring in a picture of what I want.

Very unhappy and sore after leaving "St. Catharines Nails Spa" after getting a pedicure on January 19th. I was pleased with the way my feet looked and happy with how well the lady painted my toes but I was not happy with the two ingrown nails on my two big toes that I got the day after. She was cutting/pulling my nail down on the side of my big toes (on one side of eat toe) and I said, "ow" and kindly (and quit loud that other customers looked over at us), told her that it hurt and to please stop and she looked up at me and said "almost done" and mumbled something else to justify what she was I guess trying to do.. My face was so flushed because of the uncomfortable pain she had caused my toes, and no I didn't have a hang nail (idk what she was doing) and I have never had an ingrown nail in my life until the day after this appointment. I have experienced red swelling on the inner sides of my big toes with green puss coming out if I try to move the skin away from my nail. Today is January 31st and I am still experiencing pain in my toes and still have ingrown nails. I will try to insert pictures.

worst set of acrylics ive had in my life, got a brand new set and five nails have broken within two weeks without doing anything, one of which took my real nail with it. snapped by opening my fridge and changing which isnt normal. will never go back terrible quality plus the salon was dirty
