Absolutely amazing.... I was burnt before with previous "hair stylists".... so I was so worried about getting my hair done anywhere... Thyda took such good care of me and my hair.... she listened to every concern I had and made my thrashed hair look absolutely beautiful! She totally transformed my look from damaged to healthy in one session. ONE SESSION!!!!! I was gobsmacked when I saw the results. My hair is totally transformed. This is the best salon I've been too , I am so impressed and I will be a life long client. Thyda performs miracles on damaged hair.... and cares enough to listen and address your concerns. I booked an appointment at Suburbia with Thyda after reading all the great reviews. I showed her a few pictures for inspiration and she recommended which cut she thought would work best with my hair. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable she was and how she provided me with great tips for some of the concerns I mentioned about my hair. Thyda appeared to be really excited to give me the cut I asked for and took her time! I was extremely impressed with how she cut my hair so that it worked with my hair's natural texture, parts etc! For the first time my hair dryed naturally and looked amazing! Most hairstylists spend the majority of the time styling my hair but she didn't have to use brushes, a straightener or a blow dryer to provide me with an edgy short hair cut with lots of layers, volume and texture! I absolutely love my haircut and the experience I had working with her! The salon is beautiful, open, modern and has a very relaxing atmosphere! I highly recommend Suburbia

Every week, I look forward to visiting Suburbia Hair Spa for their men’s hot shave service. Since I am not really fond of facial hair, I ask them to use the razor against the grain. And the professional does it so nicely. Also, I love the fact that they serve complimentary snacks.

Came in for a Shellac Manicure less than a month ago. The colour faded from a light pink with sparkles to almost white with sparkles within a week. Returned to have old Shellac removed and reapplied without sparkles as Manager figured it was the silver tinge of the sparkle polish that caused the colour change. The identical Pink Shellac redo changed to almost white again within a week. I called again to let them know of my disappointment. To their credit, I was offered to have it redone again but with each reapplication of Shellac, they file off some of the top layer of your nails. I didn’t want to have my nails filed for the third time within three weeks. There was no offer of a refund- which I’d have been satisfied with. There was no return call from Management. I wrote a letter hoping my concern could be resolved. I didn’t receive a reply. The service I received from the nail tech was superb. Great customer service is making sure your customers spread the word about how well they were treated, and that they want to return. A refund would’ve pleased me, just that simple. Truly an unfortunate experience. ********update- I was contacted by a Manager from the Salon and offered a complementary Shellac at a later date. An unfortunate incident occurred at the Salon and they were delayed in responding. They did reach out to me today. The Manager Thyda was a pleasure to deal with. Very understanding and genuine. She wanted to get to the bottom of this issue and worked with me, not only to make me a very happy client but to make sure she took care of me to my satisfaction. She exceeded my expectations. I’ll be returning for other services because the kindness, friendliness and genuine personality of the owner is what every business should strive to have. Thank you Thyda! See you again soon! *****

My whole experience was wonderful from beginning to end. The online booking system is so convenient and the salon it's huge and inviting. Jenessa knew exactly what I wanted and performed my cut to perfection. She also braided my hair for me at the end so that I could take my daughter to the pool with no hair fuss. And she gives the BEST scalp massages. It was by far the best experience I have ever had at a snalpn. I won't be going anywhere else from now on.

The salon and staff treat you like "special" clientele and go above and beyond in trying to make you comfortable, be it, coffee, hand massage or warm neck roll for your shampoo are all little extras that indicate a high level of service. I was impressed with Suburbia even before I walked through the door. Part of the reason I was looking for a "new" salon was that I couldn't ever seem to get anyone on the phone at the "old" one. Suburbia makes it so easy to get in touch with them! And it only gets better. The salon is sparklingly clean, bright and airy, the staff members are all very friendly and professional and the range of services is substantial. At my very first appointment I treated myself to a spa day and was blown away. I look forward to every appointment!

Disappointed in my colour and highly over priced. My hair turned red when I asked for blonde. They did allow me to come back in to touch up the colour however the red colour still remained in my hair. They charged over $700 for the service. I am disappointed and would not recommend this salon.

I had a friend recommend this place to me and I am so glad I listened. I came in after getting my hair done somewhere else and wasn’t happy with the results. Cleo listened to me explain what I wanted to change, and proceeded to give me so many different options and routes to achieve them. Then she showed me the colour book and I picked out my colours. I went darker which was a big change for me (I always do blonde balayage). She communicated so well the whole time, always making sure I felt comfortable and explained what she was doing along the way. She gave me my first blow out and I was absolutely IN LOVE with the results. I left with the biggest smile on my face and I’m so happy I found a place that I love and an excellent hairstylist who’s clearly so passionate about her work. The customer service was excellent and I just have nothing but good things to say. I think Cleo is amazing and I’d recommend her to everyone. I found my new go to salon for sure :)
