My regular waxer (Kelsey from Artistry Esthetics) was working out of a room in this spa for a while which is why I was coming here. I didn’t really like the atmosphere of the main areas and the parking situation was pretty bad, but Kelseys pretty great so I kept coming back. However, on one occasion over the summer she wasn’t available, so an employee of stay gold did my appointment, I think her name was Jen. It was the worst wax of my life, no joke. I was there for over two hours and she only did half the job (was there for full leg/Brazilian and she only did the Brazilian). She was doing it wrong and taking the wax off tiny piece by piece. Not sure if she was using the wrong wax or if she was using the wrong technique but it was brutal. Would never get waxed here again.
Edit (since I can’t respond to the businesses response): it isn’t strange to have waited six months at all. I hesitated to leave a poor review as Kelsey was still sharing a space with stay gold, and I felt a bad review on stay gold spa would negatively impact Kelsey’s business. I just had an appointment today with artistry and found out she now has her own store front and is no longer affiliated with stay gold anymore. I still felt the need to voice the bad experience with one of your estheticians, because it was honestly a bad experience. I’m not trying to be malicious, I genuinely had a bad waxing experience, thought the main area was sloppy and that the parking was bad. Maybe try and take this as constructive criticism as opposed to some kind of catty remark. I had a bad waxing experience with one of your estheticians, and think your atmosphere and parking situation needs work, plain and simple.
