Now this firm gets a rating of 4.7 stars out of 5 and the score has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is nearly the highest, and it is based on a very high number of opinions, so we can think that the rating is very reliable. If people have bothered to rate when they are pleased with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to set scores when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Spa is included in the category of Ski resort.
Snow wasn't great when we were here, but I really like this mountain and can't wait for more show to experience the terrain!
There is little seating at lunch so eat before, skip it eat on a lift or after 2:00.
Reasonable prices and good terrain.
Red. Is. The. Best.
Great location for skiing and hiking.
We happened on this place by accident and were so glad we did. The food was great and the staff so friendly. We ended up going back again the next night and tried other dishes. Again it was excellent.
Very relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay and the owner was very helpful and kind. The morning breakfasts he made for us were great. You felt like you were at home. We stayed in the kitchen suit, which was nice and roomy and private. Looking forward to coming back at some point.
Fantastic off season rates. We stayed here to fish the Upper Columbia River for 4 days. It’s an easy trip down the mountain to Trail.
sick views.
Ski Bunnies Galore, aprea brewskis at the lodge bar or the pub on the highway 1/2 mile to town. Good times and Pow No Pow check out the cat skiing op theyll get it for yah!!! : )
So many glades!! Absolutely loved this place and it's now my second favourite BC/AB mountain (behind Revelstoke).
My boyfriend and I recently visited the red resort. It was my first time skiing. Everyone here was amazing! I took two ski lessons. Jean a.k.a grandpa and Natalie was awesome! I had the best time with Jean, who I call grandpa in my head. He was amazing! You definitely have to take lessons from him. I went to the blue trail just after taking a lesson from him. I absolutely fell in love with the mountain and skiing. Definitely, want to come back next time and take lessons with Jean again. Thank you Red mountain resort! I had the most fun!
Met friends here, walks in and around the houses. Beautiful in the summer, exquisite in the winter
Had an amazing day. Good conditions up top not too slushy on the bottom excellent spring skiing
First night ski of the year was a success
Out of this world beautiful what a great staff and place
Dont tell anyone!
Great snow and people
Great terrain, old lifts, slow. Good with freshies
I stay at the nowhere hostel I was running and hiking the beautiful trails in Red mtn area . A very good place to stay with excellent customer service The hostel is new and super clean
Amazing powder day!
Great snow, terrain, friendly locals
Had an absolute blast, after playing around on some insane cliffs all day I managed to find a gem of a powder line. All their lifts are fixed grip so if you're skiing or riding alone bring some music or what not.
Best powder skiing I've ever done at a resort. Even on the best powder day of the year, there are no lift lines and it's almost impossible to find other skiers on the hill. It can be a week or more before the hill gets skied out!
Best ski slope in my life!
Great time! No lineups and warm sunny day
Great glade skiing
A lot of space for everybody to spread out overall not a very busy hill in high season. Accommodations are reasonable in the village, and Rossland is 10 minutes away with all amenities. The cat skiing for 10$ per ride on top of your lift ticket is nice addition that you can’t get at most other mountains. Unfortunately it was a low snow fall season in Jan 2019 and the temperature was above 0 in the sun so it didn’t make for ideal conditions. Would love to return when there’s more snow.
We stayed at the Josie hotel on off season. Just a nice quiet place to explore if you are looking for a summer get away. Will be coming back
My favourite place to ski in BC! A powder lovers paradise!
I love Red Mountain resort, I love the chairlifts the t bar and even the magic carpet i guess. Although i think they should make a gondola or 2 and the lodges have great tasting food only the tables have a million pieces gum under them.
If you're fortunate enough to get to the mountain on a powder day you may have to wait in a line, but once you're up on the mountain it's like you own the place. A ski hill like nothing else I've ever been on. Best snow I've ever experienced. I honestly just love this place.
Excellent classic mountain resort.
This is a fantastic mountain with lots to see and in my top 3 in Canada. It has runs for all levels including some great blue and black runs. There are a few sides of the mountain to choose from and depending on the weather, you can move to different areas.
Incredible mountain! Amazing terrain with a lot of variance
This resort is one of my favourite, there are a wide variety of runs for all levels of skiers or boarders. Also lots or tree runs and jumps on the side of green runs. Just be warned, there aren’t any easy runs from the Red Mountain Chair, I learned the hard way. The only complaint I have about this place is that all the lifts, except for the Silverlode Chair and the Grey Mountain Chair, are very old, uncomfortable and slow. Other than than that I had a great time and will try to visit again.
Another awesome powder day
A great ski resort that's a bit tucked away. Fantastic terrain and nice amenities. Downsides are the slow chairlifts and the lack of signage on the trails.
The mountain is truly a fantastic place to ski. Great trails and runs. Fabulous trees. We were lucky enough to have amazing snow every day....dump after dump of freshies. Hard to get to, but well worth the trip. All 6 of us found Red to be a true gem and vowed to return. Some of the very best skiing we've ever done.
Great runs, friendly and helpful staff. Can't wait to come back!!
Awesome resort for powder lovers. Escape long lines and overpriced passes and get inspired by a fun crowd that loves snow and skiing.
My favourite mountain resort. So much open space. I was so surprised by the amount of beginner terrain available for those learning on the lower half of the mountain! It is an extreme mountain & oh I had so much fun but I see an opportunity to target more families. RED, as a marketing coordinator, you guys should capitalize on this!! The Cat Skiing was so fun!! We were able to lap it on a long weekend?! Everyone is so spread out you basically have the mountain to yourself it’s awesome.
Great resort for all levels. 360 degree skiable mountain is very fun. Very expansive resort. Lots of beginner runs and also significant vertical with lots of features. Very playful terrain.
Just skiing and in great quality
Great ski hill
Awesome resort, very laid back vibes, lots of skiable terrain and good variety for all ages. A powder day at Red is magic. Be sure to check out Rafters for apres!
The red chair pours machine oil on you, other than that Red is rad.
Great terrain friendly staff no lift lines will come back for sure
Great mountain, friendly staff, easy parking and good food on mountain
It had been over 40 Years since I last skied at Red Mountain. The last time was at the time Granite Mtn. had just opened and a Pontiac cup women's downhill was being run. Not much has changed since then, other than the addition of Grey Mtn. to the overall terrain. Still the same friendly small town atmosphere, the endless cold deep dusty powder, the huge amount of varied terrain from both the lifts and the backcountry, and not to mention the almost 3000 ft. of vertical offered on 3 large mountains. And still no lift lines, Amazing! Well, a few thing have changed: there is more Apres now, as well as, more resort accommodation. The one question I have is for myself. What took me so long to come back?
Good variety of terrain, good snow... Slow chairs are an issue.
Good
What a fun hill to ski at.
Awesome mountain! We come from Spokane so it was nice to be able to ski at a resort just as big as in our area but with more warm and inviting people and service.
Excellent covid 19 protocols. I felt safe the whole time. Great first day on the hill for the season. I can't wait to get after it again soon!
Awesome resort. Short wait times, tons of terrain for all levels and good food
Not super epic steeps but much bigger than I thought and just as good a vibe. Great for varied ski group and obviously great with pow (which is what we got). Friendly and not crowded. Absolutely awesome ski bar too. Special points for the name of the ski shop: Piste Off
Its my favourite ski hill I've ever met
This place is amazing!
Do you like great skiing? Come n shred the Red!
One of the top three mountains in Canada, but still a hidden gem.
Great spot and no crowds
Although the original Red is nothing to write home about, the Granite and Grey peaks are worth the visit. Lots of terrain with steeps, glades and groomers. Paradise chair had some special pow pockets on our visit. Nearby Rossland has a special vibe.
N.
This place is amazing! Best mountain I have ever been to. Only planned 2 days but extended it to 4. Still have yet to explore it all. Hopefully the cat trails will be running next season
Great skiing low key resort
Amazing place, wonderful runs...boots fit perfect, friendly staff. Didn't want to leave.
Great snow and mixed terrain.
Great selection of terrain, unionized workforce which I really appreciate. some really strange public outreach where they try to get you to give them $1,000 or $5,000 to support them building a fancy hotel that doesn't really seem like you get anything for. I would say the management of this place don't really strike me as the kind of people who are fully in touch with reality.
This place is amazing. The snow wasn't great during our trip but that is how it goes when you have to plan a month in advance. Even with the snow situation, this place was perfect. No lines on the mountain and great lift ticket prices, amazing views, 360 riding access, easy traverses for those snowboarders, and awesome apres at Rafters. The folks in the town are amazing as well.
Fabulous grooming!
Awesome runs, awesome chairlifts, great employees and customer service and amazing food
Great snow!
Was there for a wedding outside unsure about inside
This ski resort has a good mix of terrain, from beginner to expert, but it really shines for its expert treed runs and great fall lines. Not as likely to get powder as some other resorts in the Kootenays but its sheer size and lack of crowds means the good snow doesn't get tracked out as fast. Friendly, down to earth staff and locals, and cheap day rates or passes round out the 5 star rating.
Good
One of my favorite mountains so far in BC/AB. Beautiful views, amazing terrain and some of the best glade runs! Uncrowded and so many fresh lines! Can't wait to come back :)
We had an awesome!! Visit to red mountain We'll be back!
Perfect snow, beatiful views, friendly people.
This hill is awesome! Gorgeous views, helpful staff. So many choices of runs. 25 mins ish to the top of the highest chair (Motherlode from base) though, so plan accordingly. Also the Paradie lodge food, and atmosphere is quite a bit better than base Lodge, didn't get a chance to check out the taco stand. Covid protocols are the same as everywhere, wear your mask at all times unless your skiing.
Fun ol fashioned ski mountain
Runs are great for riders of all skill levels. Very long runs for those who like to cruise. Steep technical runs for advanced riders. Riding in the trees is a great time on mamy runs if that's your thing. Lots of back country available. The chalet has a great atmosphere. Rafters bar is one of the highest rated chalet bars in Canada for a good reason. The staff are all very friendly and help make your experience better just with their uplifting attitudes. Avoid the busy cliche mountains as you often will have entire runs to yourself here.
Perfect, first beer served in Rafters December 2018, to me
What to say about this place.... If the drive in doesn't captivate you... The view from the top for sure will, a nice mix for anyone any style any skill level. Tucked away nicely in the kootenay mountains, this big resort has a small resort feel. If you live in trail or castlegar its a no brainer. If you're coming from further its def worth it
This resort is easily one of my favourite places to ski! Rossland is blessed to have this hill with tons of runs, knee-deep powder, and friendly staff. The mountain is usually uncrowded as well with next to no wait times for the chair. Hidden gem in the Kootenays!
Awesome Skiing, great Food, little bit pricey but they do have the locals pass which is pretty awesome
Great resort, great staff, great little town. Always a pleasure visiting.
Cosy setup with all amenities, great skiing, historic features and excellent services
Absolutely love the place!!! Great terrain with options for all.
So much terrain you need more than 1 day there
I skied here for 2 days for the first time in about 15 years - I was amazed at the new development and the amount of new terrain that has been opened up. Lots of variety for skiing. I wasn't around during a powder day - so I can report that the groomies were excellent. Thanks!!
Soooooo much amazing terrain! The snow starts a bit late so I would recommend going after new years at the earliest!
I grew up skiing at Red Mountain and love it. There is some very challenging terrain and on fresh powder days, the skiing is as good as it gets.
Gets you pitted
Absolute great experience. I've rode a lot of hills and this place had it all to offer. Great food great hill short line ups and lots of snow. I'll find myself back here one day for sure!
Red mountain is a hidden gem with tons of terrain, great staff, and unbelievable powder days!
Red Mountain is known as one of the best ski/boarding resorts in North America. What I am confused about is why such an awesome mountain with runs to keep you engaged for days does not have plant based food options. Wait, other than Lays crisps which I had to have for lunch. You need to get with the times and also train your staff basic knowledge on food restrictions. The last thing I want to hear is that the soup is vegetarian when I asked if they had anything vegan. If I wanted vegetarian I would have asked for that!
Snow more snow lots of snow
So fun, great for family.
Lines were great. Got 6 inches of fresh snow. Had a perfect powder day
I have rode here since the mid 80's. I've seen a lot of changes over the years and I'd love to say how awful it is to keep people away but some how it keeps getting better. If you like powder riding trees and steeps in a somewhat quiet resort you won't be disappointed. The paradise lodge has some awesome staff too!
The snowboards suck chair lift broke and it was my first time there
Great place for a ski holiday. People are awesome, mountain has alpine tree skiing that is Second to none anywhere! Food is awesome at hill and accommodations are convenient and reasonable.
Snow and gravity work great here.
This mountain is an absolute dream we stayed at red for a week. Rossland is a beautiful little town also. the only down fall I would have to say with the hill is food options at the resort. Some vegan options would be great, you don't always want to cook after a long day of skiing. I posted a few we made in our condo
I have been to this resort, for the last 6 years, and watched it grow, and get better and better. Besides having great terrain, they have incredible staff, everywhere. Super friendly, always helpful and enthusiastic. The only concern I ever have, is Rafters gets way packed! A very good sign.
KTM Rally days
Our favourite mountain; beautiful skiing. "Slopes for every kind of skier". Never get tired skiing Red - coming back every year!
Best challenging runs ever!
Great day.. no lift lines and Sunny
Great place
Great hill with great Conditions!!!!
Bored with ski resorts, Red offers a mountain experience - if you're up for the challenge.
Super fun terrain! One of the best anywhere!
Im amazed at how clear the roads are for so much snow!! Place is amazing
We tried out Grey Mountain! So many trails! Really fun time????
Best skiing ever
Hidden gem!
Epic hill! Little gem. Great tree skiing. Now on my favourite list.
Such a wide variety of terrain
I was only camping in the parking lot, but the people were very friendly. This seems to be a popular place summer and winter. I liked it! My son in law and my daughter ran the Broken Goat 50k trail race!
Beautiful place, awesome staff
One of the rippinest snow habitats available to paying tourists and locals alike.
Good
No lines, friendly helpful staff, epic terrain!
Love to ski at Red!
Terrific hill. Would recommend spending some time with a mountain host. We had a fun afternoon with host Larry showing us around the mountain. He was superb.
Very nice units. Great location. Had an amazing trip here. Would highly recommend.
Lifts are notoriously slow, but the insane amount of terrain makes it worth the wait. One of the only resorts that offers cat skiing for $10 a run.
Excellent. Great Caesars.
I learned to ski here this year! I love it! So much for every level of experience
Best little secret in the Kootenays!
Favourite ski mountain.
Uncrowded, lots of vertical with plenty of options to ski down. Not just for experts but for families too, kids have green runs all way from the top, while you can shred through trees and black runs. The views are amazing and the resort also provides access to the backcountry. Also the RV parking is free (limited to 5 days) and most of the resort has cell coverage, and even free WiFi at the base. Red is my favorite resort in BC.
Amazing snow and loved skiing with the locals!
Great skiing. A high speed quad chair would be a nice addition.
Iove RED!
Awesome gem of a place. Skiing much better than you might think. Steeped in history.
Great place and nice service good introduction to the mountain.
The best low-key mountain for those that want to live the simple life while being surrounded by awesome people. Check it out for yourself. You're getting no more details from me!
Great skiing
Best ski resort I've ever skied!
I am not a skiier and still enjoyed it... Imagine if you love skiing or snowboarding...
I've been to many resorts in BC & Alberta. Still nothing beats a sunny pow day at red mountain.
Fun experience for everyone
Best ski hill
So many options from budget to high end. You can't go wrong!
Construction was disruptive, as it woke us up.
Love this mountain. Reasonable prices, lots of terrain, especially with the new lift up Grey!
An overlooked ski area with a low key vibe and great terrain.
Beginner friendly slopes
We had an amazing time today. Great for the kids and then we managed a few fun runs without them too. I LOVE the fact that even on a stat holiday we had no problem finding a parking spot and no lift lines. Love red mountain.
Red sucks
"It sucks, don't go"
Yes, this place is awesome, the mountain is huge and there's good amenities onsite and in Rossland which is a few minutes away. We were there in for KTM adventure rally
Would be better if they controlled the weather
Love red it an awesome ski resort as a snowboarder there are some run that dont work but still an awesome hill
Went here a few years ago and personally rated it one of the top 2 ski resorts I have ever been to. So many awesome trails and great conditions! Can’t wait to be back.
Great skiing. Come every year for a week.
The skill hill is great. The hotel is nice, friendly staff. Food is overpriced in the hotel restaurant. About average in the snack bars.
Loved RED! Big mountain, amazing views, so much terrain, and nonlines. Will definitely be back!
So......big...... A little out of the way, but totally worth it. Great hills and an awesome night life. Resort is nice as well.
Steep...steep...steep. Under Red Chair was powdery amazement
Fantastic ski resort, plenty of runs, and plenty of Trees!
1. Great trees and steeps 2. Big, but not too big 3. Paragliding was amazing 4. Rates were reasonable 5. Patrol is great! One in my group needed a sled ride of shame down and Knobber & co. treated her really professional and friendly 6. Amenities sparce but sufficient. 7. Rossland is close but it's no Breckenridge (thankfully)
Great location to go skiing, very cool small ski town, makes a change from the Big Ones in BC. Will be going back again in the future, just the 7 hour drive thats a little harsh.
Diverse, expansive terrain. Upper and lower mountains, mid mountain eatery and drinks. Pretty much as good as it gets. Whether it's a mid winter champagne pow dump, or spring skiing, you won't regret it.
Excellent selection of ski runs. You could go all day and literally always find new powder if you wanted to.
I love this mountain. Snow is always great. The terrain is diverse. Lots of hidden nooks and sneaky wooded areas. Many an epic day spent here and more to come!
Call me surprised to find this hidden gem of a mountain. Tons of advanced technical terrain, and a amazing amount of land. I was here for two days and I couldn't cover it all. Looking forward to seeing it again, and bringing my ski skins to enjoy even more. Lifts are a touch older so they are slower than the high speed lifts. But this mountain has real character and lots of great locals that actually took time to show me around
Really inexpensive for the kids to rent equipment and get on the magic carpet. It's a great way to get into the sport.
Brilliant skiing, just wish it was closer and that the restaurants and town had more reliable operating hours. We went around Christmas time and on Christmas eve it took 40 mins and 5 restaurants to find somewhere that was open.
Went snowboarding here yesterday, snow was absolutely perfect! Huge mountain, only downside is slow lifts. Will definitely be back!
Think you can ski try Red awwwwsome trees steeps groomed runs kids runs everybody runs a place you need to experience friendly atmosphere back to skiing as it should be. Snow coming tonite and though the week. Groomers were great today, trees ify but tomorrow is another day. Lots of children having fun today.
Friendly staff, great powder!
We loved our trip to Red at the beginning of February! We were lucky enough to have some good snow while we were there and even though it was a 10 hour drive from home it was absolutely worth it! We took a mountain tour our first day and our guide, Larry, was phenomenal! He took us up all the lifts and helped us to find excellent runs for our ability. Red is huge but surprisingly approachable and friendly. We never had to wait longer than 10 min for a lift and most of the time there was no lineup at all. It might just be my favourite place I’ve ever skied.
Great mountain but slow service
I would have a tough time booking another trip. All 3 days were clouded in. It made riding very challenging.
Great ski hill, friendly clientele and staff
Awesome place to be Come see for yourself You won't be disappointed
Beer Google's Craft Beer Festival was a wonderful experience at Red Mountain.
When it's on its on! Worth the drive. Needs an airport !
Amazing slope side chalet condo. Greatly furnished placr with solid wood features. The mountain is one of the best with Deep champagne powder snow. Better be skilled and have fat skiis or boards for these trails
Out on the boys trip! We had a great day found lots of fresh lines! Great lunch with excellent service! The lift operators were great super happy! Can't wait to go back again!
Only 2 hours 45 min from spokane and worth every minute and dollar!
No lines, beautiful mountains and magical powder, an undiscovered gem!
Has snow
Wow. Just. Wow
Great resort. Tons of ski able area, great glades
We had a couple of very cold days here in February, 2018. The snow was amazing, and there are a variety of runs for all skiers/boarders. The trees are great too! The only drawback are the chairs - no high speeds. We were freezing by the time we got to the top! But there are great lodges to warm up in! Overall, great skiing, great food, nice staff! Try to get Dieter as your host-we all had a great time!
Great spot. Really good skiing with a community atmosphere. It offers good dining and accomodation options. I would like to see some investment in new chairlifts. They're a bit old and slow. Other than that, it's an awesome place to visit.
Just wow
Great friendly mountain, lots of terrain, shame it's warm!
Had both my kids under three years old ripping the magic carpet. Easy access. And friendly staff.
Disappointing. Should not open until more than Silverlode and T-Bar is operating. I paid fifty bucks for a bunny hill! YAWN.
A real skier's mountain. Amazing, challenging terrain and snow that stays untouched for days. Wonderful ski culture as well.
Steep and deep, not appropriate for beginners or people expecting Whistler although Josie's adds some fancy slopeside accoms, apres and resto.
Awesome ski resort with sweet runs. Mostly intermediate and advanced but there's lots for the folks who are new to it as well.
I was here for a dual sport rally the resort was fantastic as well as the staff will definitely return
First time skiing RED Mountain it was a great experience. Had Debbie as my ski host, she made my first experience stellar. Friendly, informative of all the runs. It was a great pleasure having her company today.
Awesome mountain, lots of great terrain!
Very fun to ski at. Varied difficulty levels. However the ski lifts can be a bit slow
One of the best ski resorts in North America, and has been correctly rated such by Powder Magazine in the past. There is amazing terrain and good places to go for beginners, intermediates, "experts", and real experts. Perfect 7/5.
I love Red Mountain! The best skiing experience in the West!
After 2 seasons at Red I became a Snow Host! There is not enough ways to describe the joys of this Resort! Teaching, snowboarding is a pure pleasure in Champagne ???? Powder! Retirement Plan Número Uno!
Super awesome time here for the week-end! So glad my brother lives close by, because I will be back!
Awesome for summer hiking. The trail to the top of red mountain is well marked, well maintained and diverse. It starts in tall, dense forest and progresses through stages and peekaboo views to the summit with panoramic views. In July the wildflowers are amazing! The trails are also mountain bike trails, seemingly a well-respected sharing.
Greatest hill I've been to. Clean and the food was good in the cafeteria at the base lodge. Hope to see you up there.
Great small town hill.
Amazing hidden gem, a bit tough to get to but that makes it all the better. Special thanks to SnowHost Mike, he went out of his way to help us find the best snow and perfect lines. An all round great guy who even hooked up with us on his day off, his local knowledge and history of the town and the resort (and cabins) made our trip super memorable. Hotel Josie was top notch, staff were also really helpful and friendly, it was a bonus to have the ski valet and close proximity to the lifts. Rafters for apres really can’t get more authentic for what a true mountain town apres should be. Thanks Red Mountain, we’ll be back! Oh...and zero lift lines, even leading into Family Day weekend!
Awesome ski hill
Favourite family vacation spot. Will be back every year.
Hey RED MTN, what can we say?! It's awesome.
I was going to say underrated but clearly the 4.8 says otherwise. Maybe overlooked by east coasters but a great mountain.
Definitely the best place to skiing and snowboard, the resort is so cozy and comfortable, gotta comeback soon...
Red mountain is awsome.
I go skiing there almost every weekend, it is an amazing ski resort. Great food, and the three mountains pack a whole lots fun, it's a different ball game with each of them. It is also a great place to learn to ski. Also to add, it is in a great community, with great stores, restaurants, coffee shops, and amazing people. I have nothing bad to say about Red resort, or Rossland.
This Resort is paradise for powder hounds!!! If you love fresh powder, technical but super fun terrain, skiing/boarding in the trees, super friendly locals and great beer, than this is the place to be!!
Ski in ski out at awesome resort. Reasonable weekday price. Perfect.
the best ski resort in the kootenays! a true hidden gem on the powder highway
Great terran!
We stayed here for 6 nights and it was absolutely amazing. Best skiing I've ever experienced. The resort is absolutely beautiful and the staff are amazing. There isn't much shopping at the resort but there is a free shuttle into town. The drivers of the shuttles are all amazing
Best ski resort in British Columbia. Amazing slopes and great village vibe. A must visit!
White. Not red at all. But very good to ski on.
Great hill with tons of difficult terrain as well as beginner areas. Incredibly friendly staff, short lines, and fun atmosphere.
Nice resort but the chairs are horrible! They are all fixed grip chairs so they don’t slow down when loading or unloading and then they take sooo long to get to the top. It feels like I’m spending more time on lifts than actually skiing. Otherwise, there’s good terrain, diverse runs, so not bad at all.
It was my first time snowboarding. Decent friendly customer service, very helpful and patient in getting you ready
Ski!!
Definitely worth the trip.
Great Place, great People, great Pow.
Steep and deep, all friends on a pow day. No bad days!!! RED is a must if you enjoy the shred.
Great place to have more fun than you deserve ????
Really nice place to stay
Legitimately my most favourite place on earth. Hidden gem, with the best big mountain riding in canada. Hands down
This is a pretty enjoyable Mountain for snowboarding regardless of your skill level. Despite still being new and only comfortable on more novice Blue runs, there were plenty of runs on which I was comfortable and plenty that could test my skills. Even if you are a beginner, you needn’t fear going up the mountains as there are Green runs to descend most of them.
Snow and rooms are awesome
Excellent resort - well maintained groomed runs with lots of excellent powder stashes that seemed to go on for miles. Staff was polite and friendly to boot; lift ticket prices were really reasonable.
Well it's amazing for skiing and snowboarding. It has a nice speed chairlift and lots of culture too!
Good
Amazing grooming. The best, most knowledgable staff in the area
Great ski hill with small-town vibe
The best combination of terrain and skiable acres per skier. Rarely ever a lineup to get on the lift. Grooming is phenomenal, tree skiing is some of the best. Terrain for every level of skier.
Excellent grooming of the ski runs. Free mountain hosts that will take you on easy runs or difficult runs or even into tree glades.
Not many lifts - 5 chairs of the non detachable variety.. But it gives you access to large variety of runs esp if into skiing trees. Not so much for the beginner plenty for intermediate esp for advanced/expert skier. Accommodation at the lift area or 4 - 5 km down the hill at Rossland with free shuttle each half hour am pm then hourly during the day.
So much fun . My first time mountain skying in a sit sky .
Pluses: Great variety of terrain, not super busy. Minuses: No high-speed chairs, on- hill signage is poor.
Great skiing
Best place I ever snowboarded at. Can’t say enough. 2 bedroom condo. Heated floor full kitchen hot tub on balcony steam shower. Nicely decorated. Lift tickets are affordable. The mountain is mostly glades and wooded back country, but there’s something for everyone. Not a lot of people. Small base area. But there’s over 4000 acres to ski at. 3 full mountains and one severed by 10 dollar cat skiing. It’s not a big corporate ski area. People are so friendly. And then there’s the Canadian exchange rate. Use the free snow host program. They’ll take you up for a couple of hours and show you the area by ability.
Absolutely stunning!!
very beautiful
Great accommodations. Love the hot tubs!
Awsome
First time at this hill and loved it. Lifties are nice, safe and helpful. All followed COVID protocols with masks, but did not have folks yelling at you to make sure the mask is above your nose. Chairs are a bit older (a little less cushiony), but all had the safety bar. Spent most of our time at the Paradise chair, but very impressed by the extensive terrain, slack country, and conditions. The town is a bit sleepy...but the resort is a must visit for any skiier or rider.
Great ski resort, unlimted fun and catski for 10$
Best family ski resort I have ever been too. My children love it and so do I. Friendly staff, good food, amazing terrain.
Absolutely Fabulous
Great
Great mountain! Terrain is incredible! Spent a lot of time riding chairlifts. High speed chairs would be a great addition. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Perfect.
My family and I try to come here at least once a year. We love the vast terrain for all levels. It's a big mountain with a small community feeling!!
Nice hill, snow was just ok
Slow lifts. Long lines on a powder day, absolutely amazing terrain. Ticket price is fair considering the potential for waits. Overall a great place to go for a rip.
A must ski in BC. Amazing steep terrain, with a great small town vibe.
Huge terrain and short lines. Red Mountain is the most epic ski resort in Canada.
Great hill!
By far the Best Place to Ski with your Family. The people are friendly the place is cozy and your kids won’t get lost in the crowd. Also this is one of the few ski resorts that I have been to that has special jump trails for kids. They will have a blast.
Pricey for the amenities
The Josie outside deck is awesome and their burger is the best in town.
Always a fun time.????
Great tree skiing, with cool little huts around the mountain. Food is also great, especially at the Paradise Lodge.
Best place in the world to ski no lines awesome groomed trails and plenty of backcourty for all levels highly recommended can’t wait till we head up there.
Deep snow, no lines, huge vertical, best tree skiing ever, Canadian hospitality, all at a very reasonable price.
Loving this mountain. The people, the feeling and just the spirit of Red! Everyone is working hard to make it a great experience, no matter the snow conditions.
Red ain't got nothing next to Pheonix, but i've never skied pheonix.
This is a good ski resort, with nice chairs, and nice snow and nice people.
Awesome Ski hill!!
Powder EVERYWHERE! The lifts are slow, but the snow makes it work the ride. Food was very reasonably priced on the mountain.
Really great resort enjoyed it very much.
So much fun and so many interesting runs I never knew about
Best Resort In the World. I’m convinced.
I love Big Dumps!!! ❄
Impressed with the terrain of course, but also the staff and local people, very fun! If you are lucky if will be sunny and will get amazing views.
I really enjoyed the mountain tons of terrain
Deep, champaign powder! Love it.
Fun people, long groomers and mellow and advanced terrain.
My wife's 2X great uncle is famous for having established downhill skiing in Canada at Red Mountain. His ashes are scattered on the mountain. It was fun seeing what his work became.
My favorite ski area of all time! Great terrain, and super friendly people.
$50 off for a student season pass.... You kidding me!? Good snow and slops fair amount of variety but still...
Great vibe and lots of terrain.
Huge mountain with lots of terrain
Beautiful and clean
The mountains have a great selection of terrain, and the resort itself is great, lots of great pubs and restaurants!
Such a fun place!
Good ski resort.
By far the best skiresort in the powder highway. No lines, great snow, awesome terrain.
Been to this mountain a few years running! A bunch of sweet snowboarding/ski routes, chairs run smoothly, and the views are spectacular!
Great place, when they get snow!!
Awesome ski hill. Tons of challenging terrain to explore. Gorgeous views from the top.
Fantastic water falls to visit and swim, highly recommended for family with children.
Awesome resort with some of the best terrain.
Great snow, amazing people and always good times.
The best skiing in BC. 11/10.
The best.. simply the best.
Best place in BC to ski
We love Red! Friendly professional office staff, well organized, following all protocols for season pass pickup. Short lines, lots of varied terrain, new "blue" Topping Creek chair and ski area.
Went to red Mountain for the first time and had a 20 cm snowfall overnight. My friends and I had an unbelievable experience. I asked an employee at the bottom of the mountain where we should ride in hopes for some local insight. She explained to me that there were mountain hosts available to show you around. I have never had a guide show me around that wasn’t a friend, but decided to take up the offer to try and make the most of visiting a new mountain. I explained that my friends and I were very advanced and wanted a guid who could find us steep and deep terrain. She introduced us to RANDY! Skiing with Randy was the best outcome and experience any of us could have asked for. Not only did he educate us on the mountains, the lifts, and where not to ride. He took us to so many great spots that we would have never found on our own. We were going threw fresh powder, top to bottom, from the first run, till the last run of the day. Randy was more then just a mountain host, He become our friend. He went above and beyond for our group! If you have the chance to ski with Randy, and have him as your host, DO NOT let opportunity pass. I nominate Randy for President of Red Mountain. He is an absolute legend.
Fantastic resort for glades.
Friendly people, great skiing, awesome snow. We spent a week there and there is so much terrain to ski that we didn't get bored. The Paradise Lodge was a great place to stop for lunch -- they had amazing burgers.
Awesome ski hill
One big mountain.
Amazing
Too bad the season ended on the best time of the year????
Rooms were great, ski in ski out access to the hill and access to entertainment rooms and hot tubs. Had a great stay.
Wonderfull Mountain plenty of runs for all skill types! As well as decent facilities on the hill!
They won't sell you a half day ticket until 1145, which causes unnecessary line ups, meaning all half dayers lose time when they should be on a lift at 1145 instead of sitting in line at guest services. Very disappointing given it is a brutal $89 to just ski a half day here.
Generally pretty good day for second day of the year, friendly lifties, decent vibes, only reason it was a 4-5 star was due to snow condition and visibility but can't do much about that. 4.5/5
Best skiing in Western Canada
Would be amazing if they got high speed chairs
Great resort very friendly locals
Best resort ever
Amazing terrain. Great friendly staff. Good food.
Great ski area, near funky town. We love staying on the mountain, so much terrain. They have a great variety of accommodations from hostels, to townhomes and a full service hotel at the base of the resort. But if you go don't miss driving the very short distance into Rossland for lunch, dinner or just to browse on the main street.
great skiing on a powder day
Outstanding terrain. Uncrowded slopes. Real town. Unpretentious, super-kind locals. I've been to just about every major western North American resort. Red is my favorite, straight away.
I spent two full days at Red mountain on Feb 21st and 22nd. The snow condition was great and we never had to wait more than 2-3 minutes at the lifts. There were so many great runs that it took two days to explore the three mountains. Some fresh powder would have been great, but the weather didn't cooperate.
11/10 would recommend if there's new snow
Breakfast was below average for the level of establishment i think.
Best ski hill ever when the snow is dropping!
Great place to ski
Red Mountain might be my favourite place in the world to ski (so far). It may not have the fastest lifts in the world and the biggest infrastructure, but neither did Revelstoke before it became big. I have never been disappointed with any day I’ve skied at Red, and that includes days with ice and rain. I’ve never been here in mid-season either, only ever at the end, but I dream of the day when I can finally ski real Red Mountain powder. Absolutely love this place.
Excellent rooms, great value
Lots of snow, great runs.
Great place to ski
Excellent! Great lifts, beautiful snow, and I love the service and music up in Rafters after ski.... When your employees share their great vibe in the lodge it makes for a great day... Those cooks are awesome!
Beautiful ski resort 5 minutes from the beautiful town of Rossland.
Nice condo at a great price
Great skiing, new hotel and hostel, awesome place to visit.
Varied terrain - many interesting ski runs - great lift operators. This resort is not "hyper commercialized" but is very skier friendly.
Has a wide range of terrain from difficult to easy. Lots of powder, lots of trees and because of the variance, It's a great family hill. It's worth the drive for sure.
I love this mountain, have been coming for over 20 years. Great tree skiing, and incredible powder stashes. The place could use some new chair lifts, but other than it is the one of my favorite skiing destinations.
Very great ski hill with awesome views and not many people. The staff are very friendly and the resort is very well laid out.
The modest crowds make you think you have the place to yourselves at times. Of course, there's a hefty line for first chair, but the remainder of the day is nearly free of lift lines. Spectacular scenery, fabulous terrain. Great blue runs and the single blacks were plenty challenging for me. Maggie's Farm is all I need to say: astonishingly beautiful. The locals are terribly friendly, and a trip upstairs to Rafters helps take the edge off what you're thighs are trying to tell you. Food on the mountain is delish.
Kootenays best kept secret
Been skiing here all my life. Lots of places to ski, small lines and friendly staff.
Making a seasons pass holder walk to Topping from Silverlode because they got to the lift at 3:01. Good look Red! ????????
Beautiful Place....
The best terrain anywhere, with Kirkup Cat Skiing taking the experience to a whole other level.
Great time skiing here
This is such a unique hill - it has a ton of terrain but still manages to keep the small town & hill feel of community. It's one of my favourites!
Lots of development happing in the village. Nice mountain to ride.
Great time!
Beautiful hill with friendly staff and great snow conditions!
Wow, what a place. I highly recommend this to anyone who has a chance to get here.
sick bruh
Tons of terrain, lots of great glade skiing ... Never crowded
Awesome experience.
The best mountain excellent terrain! Friendly non-commercial place! Great snow
Good events
Amazing resort! Epic on snow days and has enough terrain to ski for days without bumping elbows with other skiers, like you might experience at other resorts.
