I got a men’s haircut for $42.50 (GST inclusive) and it was worth my value despite my hesitation given the price. Chantel was awesome and “read between” the lines to give me the haircut I was looking for. It also included a very relaxing scalp massage and some friendly hair care tips. Very nice experience Safari Spa and Salon is an ideal haircut experience. Thanks again Chantel!

My favourite spa and salon in Red Deer! I've been going here for several years now to get gel manicures and my hair cut and colored and have always gotten excellent service. I actually went somewhere else once recently because I needed to get in at the last minute to get my nails done and Safari didn't have any openings - I will not make that mistake again. The service is excellent, the prices are reasonable for the sort of service you get, and the experience is divine. Keep up the good work!

My physiotherapist advised me to get a deep tissue massage as I had tennis elbow. I also had a knot on my lower back and shoulders from sports injuries. I would like to mention the massage therapist's name but I'll refrain from doing so as I don't want her to be too busy that she won't be able to attend to me the next time. She's vey busy as it is. She's strong and I had the deepest tissue massage I ever had. I felt so much better and my sports injuries almost ceased to exist. The reception is always welcoming and courteous. The waiting area is relaxing and we're always offered something to drink. There're snacks on the table. The rooms are warm and cozy. The atmosphere is soothing and calming, Even the washrooms are clean and very modern with heated seats etc. Nothing comes close to the treatment. I recommended the same massage therapist to my wife and she too feels that she received the best treatment. Keep up the good service. PS I used to train staff in major companies on giving excellent service so I know when I see good service. Safari Spa & Salon gives excellent service.

Absolutely amazing for body wax’s but awful for pedicures. The wax’s are so hygienic and painless and I go quite often, however I wanted to treat my mom for a nail care day here and boy do I NOT recommend. My nail technician ended up putting a pail pink coat over my French tip which turned the entire white strip brown and when I told her that if we could just do the rest with a clear topcoat rather than the pink, instead of fixing it up she quickly did one sweep with the white polish and left it so chunky, uneven, (even with a bubble/finger smudge!), and honestly so saddening that after all the prep that she’d just given up! Plus, she didn’t even bother to clean up the edges after the polish swoop, not even a little afterwards, because she claimed that her shift was over and didn’t have any time, therefore, she just left my skin and my cuticles covered with white gloop. Honestly, we’re it not for the waxing technicians I would never come back, seeing as now I have to go out and book an appointment somewhere else to redo a pedicure and remove such an embarsemt. ***Update Word got out to the Manager and she refunded my money onto a gift card I’m very greatful to the young man at the front desk who listened to me and passed the word on, thank you.

Always love going to Safari! It's such a peaceful environment, perfect for treating yourself without breaking the bank. The pedicure chairs are incredible (massage chairs), and the staff is always friendly and great at what they do. They even treat you to milk and cookies while you're getting pampered.

I am disappointed in the service that I received in the nail salon. I had gel polish on my nails already and needed it removed (which I was unaware required special booking). To remove the old polish they did not have adequate equipment and just used a nail file to remove the old colour. In doing this, they filed over my skin, making it raw in several places as well as cutting me. The rest of the process was also very rough leaving most of my fingers extremely sore. I do not recommend coming here. For $62 I feel it should have been much more pleasant.

I went for a pamper package last Monday June 6. The manicure and pedicure I recieved has not lasted the week. Cuticles,etcetera look the same as before I went. I have been to this spa before and was impressed, service seems to be going down hill. On the plus side the relaxation massage was good and all the staff was friendly. However this doesn't outweigh the negative or the cost. I would not recommend this spa anymore for manicures or pedicures.

I had an absolutely incredible full spa treatment experience. Very accommodating for everything I wanted to get done in one day. From the moment I walked in I was treated like a family member. Tammy did an amazing job with the Chakra balancing massage and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Emily was great as we spent the next 3 hours together as she waxed, tinted and shaped my eye brows, manicure and pedicure. She made a comment at the beginning that we'd become best friends by the end and I truly felt like we could be best friends. Her passion and excitement in what she does is inspiring. I will happily return to see both ladies in the future. Thank you for making my first spa treatment one to remember.

Always impressed! My wife and I go for a couples massage at least once a month and are consistently impressed. Their attention to detail starts in their waiting area, flavored water and/or a small snack. Rooms alway clean, tables warm, relaxing music and selection of scents. Registered therapist always checking in to ensure the pressure is right. No membership required but we always feel welcomed and thanked for our business. The downside, due to their success is you need to book sometimes weeks in advance but we’ll worth the wait.. Keep up the great job !

From walking in the door to walking out the door, we were treated exceptionally. The service by our estheticians were beyond what we could have hoped for. They showed great skill and care. This place is so nice! The salon is in the front and the spa is in the back and upstairs. I got to pick the scent of the oil for the massage which was nice! When the massage is done they wait for you outside the room with a glass of water and bring you back downstairs. The only downside is that there isnt much for parking, especially when its busy but you can usually find something nearby.

We walked in and were treated poorly the girl put us on the back bench and ignored us. We were getting our nails done and the nail techs were awesome however very poor quality product as mine has lifted after a week and it's lumpy. Will not be back. Nail techs saved you a star

This spa is amazing! I’ve been so happy with pedicures, hair and now massage! Tammi gave me one of the best therapeutic massages I’ve had and that says a lot! I went in with a 3 day migraine and came out with it gone! The entire spa is so clean and beautiful! From the minute u walk in you’re greeted with friendly staff and offered a coffee etc. The ambiance is so soothing, relaxing and comfortable! From beautiful gas fireplaces, the best leather massaging chairs, the cleanest washrooms complete with spa shower and fancy toilets ????????, lovely spa music and staff that make u feel special, this place is a 5*. During our pedicures we’re always offered strawberries and chocolate and half way thru a fresh cookie and milk. I would send anyone here in complete confidence that u will be impressed and treated like a queen while at this spa!! Great work Safari Spa and Salon!!

My daughter (3.5) and I went to get our nails done today. The staff was sooooo good with her and the atmosphere was so calming and relaxing that even my high energy 3.5 year old was able to sit and relax throughout the entire visit. She was very excited about the strawberries and chocolates they gave us and then some extra special cookies and ice cream. They really made her day and, although I loved my pedicure too, what I really loved was watching them make this experience so special for her. Thank you so much ❤ we'll definitely be back!

Called to book an apt for a haircut. Told the person on the phone that it had been awhile since my last cut because it was a bad experience so I was calling them in hopes I could find a great stylist. Arrived and found out my stylist had only graduated from the academy three months prior. She was super friendly and this is not a reflection of her, but, she didn't have the level of experience I was hoping to receive in booking a appointment with a premium salon and paying premium prices. I'm sure she'll be an amazing stylist in a few years but for the time being, her rates should be discounted. I paid full price and I was not really happy with my cut but she was so nice and hard working I didn't want to hurt her feelings. This isn't her fault, it's the salons. When I called I made it clear I wanted an experienced stylist and they booked me with an apprentice (she's not finished her hours so she doesn't have journeyman status) so I'm really disappointed that after essentially pouring my heart out they went ahead and did this anyway. I trusted them, as one of the best salons in Red Deer, to take me seriously.
