First time I went, was for a pedicure, which I quite enjoyed. No Complaints there. I then went in to get a manicure and my hair done (perm). I went equipped with pictures of what I wanted and even asked a few times if it could be done, if it couldn't, I was quite happy with a haircut and style and showed them styles that I like. Assured more than once it could be done. The end product was nothing like I requested. In fact, the first people I saw after burst out laughing and called me Miss Frizzle (cartoon character). But that wasn't the worst of it. The hairdresser had a cut on their hand that was bleeding everywhere. While doing my hair, they commented that I must have 'an owie' on my neck. I paid no attention to it cause at that time I didn't know what they were talking about. Next thing you know, their hand is covered in blood. She stepped away for a few minutes, which I thought she took care of her hand. She came back and recommenced doing my hair. The next thing I know, she's commenting to the other hairdresser about her hand and how much blood there was! It was NOT cleaned when she stepped away the first time, blood was everywhere! The other hairdresser and client encouraged her to take care of it - which she did not. So not only did I go away looking like miss Frizzle, my neck and hair was full of her blood. And if you know about perms, you can't wash your hair or it ruins it (I should have washed my hair) so I couldn't wash my hair. I called a few days later after hoping that after washing my hair a few times (after the no washing period) to see if it would relax a bit, to complain and ask for the perm to be removed, because it wasn't what I was assured (more than once, from the owner and hair dresser) that they could do. The owner did not care, told me that I would be charged the full price. At that point in time I didn't bother letting her know of the blood because she didn't seem to care whatsoever. I will never go back and thankfully the handful of people that I referred to that place that have gone, have since not returned there either. Much more professional and sanitary places out there.
