There’s good and bad! We’ve owned a tub for 12 years and when it was time to replace it we visited the hot tub people at a show in Peterborough. The sales guys was awesome and we got a great deal on our new tub! The tub itself does have some issues... the white trim is extremely hard to keep clean and The speaker system works for about 5 months then randomly quits. This was covered by warranty and the service tech was here and gone in less then an hour. This is what sucks; the service people at the store are terrible for communication. We had a bill for service To replace the speakers sent to my wife’s email (not sure how they even got it) then I had emailed them to resend the invoice to me. No response. Then a month later had an additional invoice sent to my wife again. So I repeated the process from the correct email again. Still no response. Not sure what’s going on over there. And to top it off the speakers on the tub have stopped working again. Guess I’ll just fix it myself this time.

Bought a Passion Excite model from The Hot Tub People. Luckily it was a stock item since i purchased in the spring and they kept it for me a month to finish the concrete first and let it dry/harden to support the weight. Chris and Mack were very profesional. They included steps, cover and lifter and startup chemical kit. They arranged delivery through Hot Tub Movers and the delivery day was a big exciting day. All went smooth they arranged crane service as well and installed lifter for the cover as well. As soon as i started i thought i had a leak on one of the knobs and i shut that pump off while still using other 3 pumps. The hot tub people arranged a repair tech show up under warranty and check it out. Turns out that since at factory Passion tests their tubs twice for water leaks and it gets delievered on the side it is normal for startup to leak a bit till it clears through the aerator intake where it picks up air to mix with jet water. I tried hard to demonstrate to repair tech but was not able to show leak. Now 2 months later i am so happy as i have zero issues with it. I was a bit scared initially bit it all played out well. I am happy they arranged a warranty call. Due to the step shortage for Covid Chris mailed me steps separate next day and within 3 days they were at my house. Very happy they followed through with everything. Passion spas are very well made with all bells and whistles. Has 3 jet pumps 1 blower and 1 recirc. Has UV sanitizer and Ozone maker. Bluetooth speakers are ok but i am not using them since i got big wired in garden speakers permanently that would blow any hot tub speakers out of the water. Overall at times it seemed that they were a bit hard to get return answers but eventually all my questions and issues were answered. They admitted they hired more staff as covit took its toll as well on their staff and due to increase in demand it worked detrimentally I would recommend these guys to anyone to viait their showroom and reserve a product.

While in the first few years these people were very helpful with any needs we had for our Swim Spa, after that things went sour! From phone calls from us not being returned or no customer service (information taken down but no results) to maintenance guys showing up taking spa apart, saying they will return with parts , and never showing up again!!!!! I got more frustrated calling and emailing. Chris the manager was great in the start but then (so says the girls who answer the phone) was never available to listen to our concerns. ALSO after when the warrenty was over we found out the hard way this is the only store who can repair/ get parts for our swim spa! They kept telling us parts were through the states and hard to get, or we would never hear back from them!!!! And yet we had no problem ordering our selves and having delivered...(thank god my husband is mechanically inclined) And had to fix him self. We were even charged a whole day repair visit , and we supplied the tanks, pump, etc to have the repair guy stand around watching the spa being emptied - only to be told he didnt have the parts and we better fill it back up (which he stayed to watch) cause it was going to be a cold night....and we never heard from him again!!!! The Spa People will never get a dime from us again. BUYER BEWARE! Before you buy make sure local and reputable.

I purchased my hydropool hot tub from this company. I'm very pleased with the quality of the tub and the owner Chris is very knowledgeable. They also sell good quality chemicals to keep tub clean and test water samples. I've tried taking my water samples too closer places but I've never really been able to balance it well until I went back to the hot tub people. it's been over a year since I went back to the hot tub people for testing and it has remained completely crystal clear.

We almost made the biggest mistake and ordered a hot tub from another store closer to home but thankfully we cancelled that order and made the right choice and went to the hot tub people!!! From the very first phone call we have had such a fantastic exsperience the owner staying late to meet with us to searching to find a tub just like the one we had ordered from the previous store to finding almost the same tub and having it ordered and ready for us with in less then a week!!!! Amazing!!! The whole team is so welcoming and friendly from the sales guys on the floor to the guys in the back which is hard to find a store where all the staff are so happy:)...we were offered bottles of water while waiting for the tub to load onto the trailer. My girls had a demo and were able to play with paddles in the swim spa. So with all that said if you are looking for a hot tub this is the place to go. Hydrospa told me to go to the dealer in Peterborough when I called them in regards to the place we were originally going to purchase from that right there says it a lot

Not very professional or knowledgeable. Salesman showed me the inside of a tub and said it is was a stainless steel frame when it was obviously just galvanized steel. He told me I would save all kinds of money on water with the self cleaning feature saying you don't have to replace the water as often. He said it cost about $400 to fill a hot tub. My friend out of town pays about a $100. It costs me less than $5 on metered city water for my current hot tub. I asked them about energy efficiency as Beachcombers tubs are rated and the manager came out and told me he was half American(I'm not sure why that was relevant) and he didn't need the government testing hot tubs for energy efficiency and telling him what to do. I would buy a hot tub elsewhere because there isn't really a huge difference in them. I have owned 2 in the last 30 years and so has my brother.

We bought a hot tub sight unseen in January 2021. We had it delivered on April 3rd 2021. When we accepted delivery of it we noted while the crew was unpacking the lid they sliced it with a knife. We also found it to be missing a step, and cover for the filters. We had been following up with Chris who we bought it from. Chris initially was good about responding but then just flat out stopped. Lindsay in service did her best to get things resolved but it was early August before all the parts we had paid for arrived at our home. I received no financial rebate even though it was all paid for in full on delivery. A lid opener was provided as a slight way of making up for all the issues. Chris said he would look into this but needed to check with the "higher ups". Turns out Chris is an owner. Everything was a struggle and other than the initial purchase a huge headache. I hate posting negative reviews but hey when Chris refused to call back to make this work I didn't have a choice...

Wonderful service from Dave, The General Manager of The Hot Tub People. We love our new hot tub. Just a warning folks, do not use The Hot Tub People's recommended electrician. We used another electrician who gave us an estimate $1000 less than this guy. This guy then reported us to ESA. Fortunately we had the proper permit. Be warned, do not use The Hot Tub People's electrician. His prices are way too high and he will report you if you reject him. After this distasteful occurrence the offending electrician was let go. Hot Tub People you are now 5 stars in my book

When we arrived at our cottage yesterday afternoon we discovered our hot tub motor #1 (heat and circulation) was dead. (Thank God for the timing as it is before any major freezes.) Called "The Hot Tub People" Thursday and got an immediate call back from Chris. 9 AM this morning they called and the service folks will be here today with a rebuilt motor and repair for this week end. We have been major fans of The Hot Tub People, Zorro, Chris and company since we bought our tub from them about 5 years ago. They are simply the best! We're feeling very blessed!

I just purchased a Hot Tub from Steve, who not only made the entire process easy, but went above and beyond to get me the hot tub that best fit my needs. There was no pushiness in sales, he responded in a timely and professional manner and answered all my questions in great detail. During the current climate, it was incredibly difficult to locate a place that even had stock and knowing that this particular unit would not last long, he still held it for me, while I mulled over the purchase. All in all, this experience was nothing short of fantastic and having made several larger purchases in past, this was by far the easiest. Wonderful delivery people. They were friendly and professional and did a great job. Sales people were very attentive until I actually committed to buying and put down a deposit. Once I'd signed the paperwork it was nearly impossible to get ahold of them or to get them to answer any questions. Took over a week of calls/emails to schedule delivery and they were unable to actually provide delivery for over a month. I've tried contacting them twice since delivery for advice on some little issues with my new tub and both times they took my number and said they'd get back to me to answer my question. Nobody has ever returned my calls. I decided I'd give them lots of second chances before writing my review and I think I have. I'm happy with the tub itself but the sales/support leaves a lot to be desired. If only the entire operation was as wonderful as the delivery people. I did purchase one of their cheapest tubs so perhaps they are more focused on people who make larger purchases. I am now going have to deal with another store for support for my tub, which I really didn't want to do but when my phone calls are never returned and I need some advice I don't really have a choice. I am happy with the tub itself, I just wish I could also receive a bit of support after my purchase, nothing crazy, just some water advice etc... things that actually may have resulted in me purchasing more products/accessories.

Save your self time, stress and money and stay AWAY from these guys!!! All you will hear is that they are flexible and willing to work with you. The hot tubs are poor quality. I got 2 from them and both are acting up for a year now. I don't even know how many times the service has already come. The tubs were around $12k each. My friend got a tub for $7k from another place and no issues whatsoever. This places is filled with empty promises. Took me half a year to cancel a contract with them. Chris (owner) was saying that he can't do it but when i called the finance company they told me that apparently Chris (owner) is the one that is in control and just needs to send them the confirmation. LIES, LIES, LIES. It took him 3 months to send a piece of paper saying that its canceled. The amount of stress i had to deal with over this period of time is unbearable. Endless calls and text messages and all you will hear from him is that he will help. BULLSH....

We were going to purchase a Hot Tub from a local guy in Ajax but we were visiting our Mother in Peterborough and went over to Costco to grab a few things. We bumped into one of my Wife's good friends who works there and got to talking about Hot Tubs. She mentioned there was a Hot Tub Factory Outlet right across the street so we ended up heading over to check it out. They must have had 50 hot tubs in there and made us what ended up being a half price deal we couldn't refuse. The tub has been running great. I tell everybody I know where to go for a great deal and great service. Keep up the great work guys !!

Lots of promises but NO SERVICE. We purchased a brand new hot tub one year ago. There service department is awful. They don't return calls. They won't service their equipment. We call everyday. Our hot tub is outside full of water in the winter! When it stops working and it's sub zero this creates more problems. We purchased a brand new hot tub and paid Huge for it. Almost 20k! With all the problems we have had with this hot tub in one year we wonder if they sold us a used one and said it was brand new. Customer service is awful. We do not recommend THEM.

Great hot tub once it arrived , happy with the final product but not the sales people. Experienced a stressful runaround with the first sales person Mack who lacked follow through , did not call us back despite us contacting him multiple times for an update on a sale. I want a sales person who is motivated to make the sale and it felt I was doing the work for him to get the commission. Ended up not getting a call back and called the store to deal with another employee , Steve, who was far more responsive and able to process the sale over the phone in an hour without issue. There was further hold up when my financing information was not submitted in a timely manner to Kawartha Credit Union and missed my delivery date because this was not caught by staff. Some delay in part to COVID protocol that was beyond the company’s control. Owner was apologetic and offered that he would give us extra spa chemicals to make up for the inconvenience but we never received those with our delivery. I am very happy with the tub itself but if you are going to shop here for your hot tub be careful who You choose to deal with and make sure you have a lot of patience !!

We just replaced an older (22 year old) hot tub with a new one from The Hot Tub People. Adam Rose was great to deal with and I'm very pleased with both the quality and price of the new unit. Chris and the rest of the removal crew were fantastic. They took great care not to damage the property when they took away the old tub and cleaned up everything when they were done. They were 100% professional in terms of how they handled themselves. Same story with the crew that delivered the new hot tub today. Very much looking forward to wiring it in and enjoying the new hot tub, now that the nights are getting cooler. Great job guys...thanks for all your help.

Hello everyone, just wanted to share my experience. If you are unsure about were to by a HOT TUB like I was , there is no need to look any further . I bought one from these guys from just feeling a good hunch, and I was right on !! They are always there to help you, which is SO IMPORTANT . This Virus thing was on and I was having trouble with some green water, I called in on Saturday but they had to close down the store as per Government regulations for the time being. I left a message and within thirty minutes Chris the owner of the business called me and was right on the ball to help me. I was very impressed !!! You just leave a message and they get right back to you. It does not get any better than that. Thanks HOT TUB PEOPLE. So glad I picked you guys !!

We Moved in August of 2021 and wanted a new hot tub, I called these guy's and spoke with Gerry, He was great from the start and the delivery team was fantastic, They put it where we wanted and even installed the lifter for the cover. I can't speak for the service side as I haven't had any issues yet but time will tell. We purchased our last tub from a different company and their delivery & installation was literally a moving company dropping it off on our back deck and left the cover and lifter in the tub. After researching multiple Hot Tub manufacturers we decided on a Hydropool, now it was trying to find the Model we were looking for with out having to wait 7-8 months. Phoned to inquire about parts. Ordered parts from Lindsay on Friday. Was advised they would ready for to pick up on Sat. Drove 2 hours 1 way - no parts ready - no one knew anything. Left several messages, no call back. Spoke to another person was assured Lindsay would call back - 3 days ago. No call back Nothing! Our hot tub is 14 years old and with this appalling service will definitely not be dealing here when we replace!

My husband and I purchased a Dynasty Hot Tub and Whistler shelter last year and paid the extra fee to have Hot Tub People install both. Well, it has been a nightmare with this “LEMON” tub. Within the first year we have had 4 major leaks causing damage to the shelter and concrete flooring, corrosion beneath the tub, damaged motors causing decreased jet pressure, lights have malfunctioned and are different colours while all on same setting- main board replaced and issue still not fixed, rusted speakers - not just covers - replaced covers, our shelter has screw holes through the metal roofing that have not yet been repaired - which also leak Into the shelter and the shelter base has decay caused by severe leaking. With multiple repair calls from The Hot Tub People for all the issues our tubs insulation has been cut many times and issues still remain. We have escalated the issues and still unresolved. Dissatisfied customer!! Update: I don't like to give a negative review however, here is an update. We had so many issues with our hot tub all within the first year and we were reassured by Lindsay that she would look in to a replacement with Dynasty which she claimed dynasty would not reply to her. It seemed like they were waiting for the first year to just run out. Instead we had many more hot tub repair calls from the Hot Tub People's "best". Every time we ended up with a leak we were hesitant to call because they would avoid answering and we were always met with a negative attitude of clear blame and annoyance. They eventually took our shelter apart and took the hot tub back to the warehouse for a complete repair. They said they ran it for days to ensure it was repaired which we expressed extreme gratitude for as we really hoped this would be the end to all of this. Well... it wasn't. It leaked and lost pressure. Hesitant to call again after all of that, they did send someone for repair and sure enough he confirmed a leak. He took the base apart yet again and repaired the leak. Immediately after leaving the service call we noticed that our waterfall feature didn't work. No water at all. Something had surely happened during the repair because they worked fine prior to that. We contacted Lindsay yet again, her response was that it was definitely unrelated to the service call and it was just coincidence in timing that they had just left when they didn't work and that we could fix it easily ourselves. We have asked how to fix these multiple times with no reply. These currently don't work and we have not heard back after many attempts to communicate with Lindsay. I will mention that the repair team was very friendly and professional each and every time they were here and always really sympathetic to our situation as it was frustrating for us all. This is a beautiful hot tub and I'm sure we were just unfortunate in getting this 'Lemon'. It has made for an awful experience. Note: The Hot Tub People would agree to repair the hot tub if we agreed to take down this review however, the tub's waterfalls still don't work and . this has been our experience.
