We recently purchased a Softub Spa from Mahon Pools. We mainly dealt with Kelly and found her to be friendly and very knowledgeable about the product and setting up the spa chemicals in the tub. When we opened the box a couple of small items were missing from the factory. We called to let them know and they delivered replacement items to our home right away. A very positive experience and the Spa is absolutely awesome!

Well....havent been real happy the last few times I had to deal with them. Happy to take your money of coarse when purchasing and service has been rough. Had a 2 speed pump that would not always start on low speed. Was told it was the "low speed capacitor" They changed it and only helped for a while. Then was told just to buy a new pump? Only $500!!! . Had a problem with display not always working when buttons are pushed. They came ( were driving by anyway they said ) there was a loose plug. Great....week later a bill for $90. Could ya not say dont worry about it and keep a happy customer. The pump started to act up again, so I ordered a low speed capacitor and took it to Boyd Electric in Kingston. They said the capacitor I gave them is the high speed capacitor. That tells me the wrong one was changed originally...thats why it didnt work. Dont spend $$$ on Arctic Spa.

Ordered some chemicals today as we were in Perth for an appointment, and after adjusting my order to do high cost, picked them up via curb side. Found the price was still much higher than I expected, and phoned my normal pool guy for advice. Since I didn't need both bottles of algacide (especially the super concentrated version), I called Mahon's to ask about returning one of them. I was told that they couldn't return chemicals due to Health Canada regs not allowing returns (Covid). After a brief hold I was told they would return the bottle, but for store credit only - as if making sure I spent the extra $53+tax in their store as opposed to somewhere else would allow them to bypass Health Canada restrictions.. either way, when I told the young sounding girl on the phone that I wouldn't be dealing with their store in the future, she proceeded to give a ton of attitude. Don't waste your money here.. it's better spent elsewhere.

I purchased a hot tub from Mahon Pools and Spas in the fall of 2018. I have owned a tub before, but it needed to be replaced. Shopped around and found the best place to be Mahon's, for many reasons. Impressed with the staff, they know their merchandise, display room was great and we love the tub. Delivery was on the day set, no delays. After having it over the winter, I have to say that the tub everything claimed to be. Very minor cost for power; very little heat loss (the snow rests up against the sides of the tub, with the old one, the snow always melted back at least 8 inches. Our old tub was a quality tub too). One day in January the power out for close to 6 hours and I was getting concerned because the temperature was -25c. Checked the tub when power came back on and it was still at 102. Artic Spa tub is nice and deep when you are sitting in it, especially in the cold weather. Thanks Taylor for your sales expertise, Mitch for installation and advice and the store staff (which I will be sure to get your names).

I was EXTREMELY happy with the friendly service provided by Mahon Pools! They were able to provide new top rail covers for my almost 20 year old pool (yes, our Flipper pool was even bought from Mahons)! After 20 years, the sun had certainly taken a toll on the old covers, and I didn't think I would have any luck in finding replacements, as I understood that the Flipper company was no longer in business. Without hesitation, they looked them up, ordered them, they arrived within a couple of days (much quicker than expected) and the price was very reasonable too! Couldn't ask for better service! Thank you Mahon Pools!!!

Bought an Arctic Spa hot tub from these guys when they had an office in Kingston a few years back and generally had good experiences with the company for small repairs just as jet replacements and an o-ring or two. That all changed in the last month of the warranty when the tub leaked out onto the floor. Leaked again after the first repair, so the tech worked extra hard the second time to make sure everything was tight, finding a few loosened connections and poor seals along the way. The fix worked this time, but then I get a bill for $184 claiming the repairs were due to "poor water maintenance" and not covered by the warranty. I'm no expert by any means, but I fail to see the connection between water treatments and loose seals in the plumbing. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I don't like the smell of the place now and, having sold the tub with that house, will be looking elsewhere for my next tub. No call from the owner or someone knowledgeable, either, just from the office girl doing the paperwork. They got their $184, but I'll be sending the $10k cheque for a new tub to someone else. Won't recommend dealing with them at all.
