went here today at 1:45 with my friend and i have some complaints but they didn’t seem to interested about how my experience was. at the end she ended up almost charging my friend $150 she pushed my cuticles back with her dirty nails she went between doing my nails, doing a girls pedicure, handling cash and answering her phone without washing her hands her work area was disgusting and nothing was washed or unused my nails 2 hours later are still not completely dry

I came here with two of my friends around 3pm and they treated us like kings! We had our feet carefully pampered! Also, our toe nails! It was super fantastic. I really felt the love. I do recommend this place to anyone who wants to get pampered!! It’s worth every cent! And it’s not that expensive too which is even better!!! Cheers to the team.

Had an amazing time here. The ladies working there were very nice and did a very good job. I called in and got a reservation for two people for a pedicure and they were very accommodating and booked us with a 30mins notice. The price for a pedicure on a massage chair including exfoliation was $35 plus tax (for shellac it was $50). They also had a 10% off promotion for the month of March. We had a great time. Four stars because of sanitary concerns. On multiple occasions the technicians used tools from each other's baskets on each of us (the customers) without sanitizing them first and returned them to their respective basket without sanitization after use as well. Here's to hoping that my toe nails won't start growing fungi.

Standard nail spa. They played the strangest music on repeat. I couldn't wait to get out of there by the end of my appointment. My pedicure ended up chipping after only a couple of days so I went back in. They repaired it with no questions asked, which I really appreciated.

I came in one day asking if they could do a full set of nails in an hour or less and they not only fulfilled the request but the quality of nails was amazing. I got exactly what I wanted and then came back the following day with my other half for pedicures which were completely relaxing, the massages were the best I had ever received in a pedi chair, they took complete care of both of us and we left relaxed and prepared for the rest of the days chores. If I could give 0 stars I would. I had waxing on my face- she ripped my skin and actually burned and scraped me. My skin has road rash from the waxing. They also charged me adult prices for the 2, 10 year old children that had pedicures- I asked for regular polish for my daughter’s manicure and while I was out of the room for the waxing, they did shellac and insisted that we pay for shellac. At the till they pretended that they suddenly couldn’t understand English..... I finally just paid it so we could get out of there. I didn’t want to just walk out and not pay when I had kids with me. THIS is a total scam. I can’t believe I let them wax my face..... that’s my fault- I was rushed and didn’t go to a proper salon. This was just the most horrible experience. STAY AWAY!!

I went in to get a full set of gels and told the woman doing the nails repeatedly that I wanted ALMOND shaped nails. Multiple times I stoped her and asked her if she was going to fix the shape as she was giving me a coffin shaped nail. She refused to fix the shape and then at the end when I told her they weren’t what I asked for and that she had given me the wrong shape I wasn’t offered a discount or any sort of compensation but was simply told she would fix it next time I came in. She wouldn’t even admit that she had given me the wrong shape. While the nails I got were good quality they simply weren’t what I asked for at all. I’m left feeling extremely disappointed and will not be returning here.

I can’t say enough great things about my experience at Gold Tip Nail Spa today. My mother, my 6 year old daughter and myself walked in without an appointment and were still treated like royalty. Our pedicures and foot massage were nothing short of perfection....they also ensured we all followed the Covid safety measures by providing us masks and plexiglass partitions to sit behind. Amidst all that, the ladies made sure we had fun, shared some laughs and that we left with some freshly washed bc cherries, plums and a sweet treat for my daughter on our way out. The ladies at this spa need to be recognized for their high level of customer service, we were so impressed and had a great experience, highly recommended!

Worst pedicure experience I have ever had. The man who did my pedicure used a tool on my feet and then just put it away in his drawer. It did not get sterilized for the next guest. I believe he also used a "used" nail file on me. I was going to get up and walk out, but was half way through. He ended up cutting my cuticle and making me bleed. Then used a cheese grater (literally) on the bottom of my feet - also making my toe bleed on the underside. The massage was slapping my legs and punching the bottom of my feet. Horrible experience. Better to wait for an appointment than go here on a walk in.

My nails look and feel better than when I had them done at the high end salon I had them done at last. I was given a brisk massage and my hands were moisturized. I would like everyone to know the experience I had at golden tip downtown on main, not only am I new to town never been here before I was treated horrible had my set of gels pried off with a metal took rather than soaking them off when all I wanted was a fill, and than had some guy who didn't even know what he was doing to do my set of gels! At that point in time I told them I wanted to go somewhere else an she just got out of her chair from doing another ladies nails and just comes an does mine. At the end of it tells me she won't charge for art when I didn't even get any and charges me 85$!!!' For a fill!! I don't mind paying that for a full set I will pay for high quality but they ripped me off an told me they would call the cops on me if I didn't pay the total 85$! I have NEVER been treated like this before in any city an I just hope the next girl who decides that place is a good idea to think twice! I will be going to th BBB about this as well this is just a *WARNING*

I was in for a fill. I asked for my nails to be short and she only wanted to file them but barely took and length off and I asked to file more and she did but still just skiff and said she said “that’s good”. Communication was very poor The powder was on so thick that it started lifting the next day. The cost was listed at 40+ for a fill but she charged me 47$ which seems very high for what I was given for service. I should have asked for specific pricing so that’s my bad.

Stay away!!! Dishonest establishment!!! I was there a week ago for a mani pedi, when I came home I checked my bank statement and realized they had charged me twice. I sent them a msg to make them aware of this and a screenshot of my bank statement which clearly stated that I had been charged twice for the mani pedi. I have not received a reply, and I can see that my msgs have been read. I actually tipped them 23 %. I was a nice customer!!! However I am not happy with ending up to pay $126 for a mani pedi at this place, so stay away, or pay in cash!!!

Tammy, the owner, is very nice. The salon is very clean. Unfortunately, I had to go back to have my manicure fixed as the schellac began to peel on 3 nails within 3 hours. Tammy was very nice and fixed the nails the next day, however, the fix on the thumb is bubbling already (photo), just a few hours later. I believe the reason is the work is just too rushed and not enough time under the UV light to set properly.

horrible nails. asked for chrome. she tried for about 30 mins on 1 pinky to achieve chrome, couldn't just admit that she did not know how. i asked her to just finish them in black.. she was adamant she could do it so she went on to the rest of my nails (hologram powder on top of polish) it didn't work. 60$ and left with a HORRIBLE set of nails, went to my usual place and they were in awe about how bad they were.

Would NOT recommend or go back. I am an esthetician by trade and took pride in doing pedicures. I sat with my feet soaking for 35 mins before someone saw me (even though I made an appointment) my water was well and truely cold by then. The whole pedicure was 25 mins. And a solid 10 mins of that was doing the shellac. The man did very little nail work and spent no time scrubbing my heels. I still have rough calluses on my feet. While my legs were still wet he rubbed my shins for about a minute a side. There was no massage and he didnt even touch my feet. The shallac was poorly done on top of it all and that whole terrible experience cost me $55. I am still confused on what part of that was considered a pedicure. It was rushed and careless. It was a complete waste of my time and money.

My cousin and I went there for a relaxing experience and my once a year pedi + mani treat. We were the only customers, there was no music playing or ambience. Lady and man who looked after us seemed irritated by our business from the start. The man working there refused to give the massage portion of the pedi to my cousin (which was weird). Lady asked me if I wanted to fix my broken nails, and I said yes. She proceeded to attach crooked and bumpy fake nails to my hands in a very rough fashion. When I commented on the fact that my nails were not the same length she seemed very irritated. My gel nails fell off after 3 days..

Got a set of gel nails there, they fell off in less than a week ( not breaking off, litterally fell off) when I went back in to get them fixed I was told I had to pay $5 a nail to get them fixed, plus $40 to fill them. Being as I just moved here I've tried a few places and finally came around to Gold Tip and absolutely no regrets! Made an appointment for myself (who already had a bad nail job somewhere else) and my two grand daughters. Spent over $300.00 with tax and only one of us is happy with our nails (gel polish). Pedicures were decent but our nails are not! Very first day we all had chips in our nails. The gel polish looks thin and diluted. It's not even a week and my nails are all peeling off and broken. You can see through the so called gel polish on two of us and my polish doesn't even cover my whole nail. It's plain ugly. And the shape job!!!!!!! Awful! We all left with rough jagged edges on our nails and weird shaped nails. By that I mean not one nail had the same shape. Some round, some pointed, and some abstract shaped. It is by far the worst rip off yet. I've recently moved to Penticton and have had my nails done in three places and had terrible jobs every time. Seems like a good business to go into. Very dissatisfied. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

i went to the salon the owner was so rude. the guy that was doing my nails messed up my actual nails, he clearly did not what he was doing at all.i asked for coffin shape gives me a square shape like you should give the shape i wanted. Really hope the girl who usually did my nails there was still working there. i wouldn't recommend this salon there service is so bad. owner needs to hire people who actually know what there doing not random people who don't know what there doing. takes full price ruins my actual nails. the owner doesn't have respect for customer calling them names she sholuldn't be calling. if you don't know what religion they are don't make stupid stuff up. I did like going here mostly because I always wanted something simple for my gels and I was never disappointed. I'm going to be going on vacation in a few days and wanted my nails done before I leave, I checked out their Facebook page to see what kind of art and designs they could do, it looked impressive. So I started picking out my colors and explaining what I wanted for my design just to be told she's not going to do it. In my opinion, I didn't think my design was that difficult, she wouldn't even do the glitter on the tips and only gave me one rhinestone on two nails, apparently two was too much. I think she was worried It would cost too much and i wouldn't tip her because she was asking other clients if they're going to be paying with cash because she wanted tips. Worst part of it, it was always the same girl I've been seeing since December.

Today, July, 26th, my daughter got her nails painted and we informed the staff that there was a bubble of paint on one of her nails that had been damaged during the manicure. Instead of fixing the nail, one the ladies yelled at my daughter and said that my daughter had damaged it again. She looked at my 11 year old daughter and yelled: " If you damage it I will not fix it again! I will not sit here and redo your nails all day!" . She was so rude and disrespectful that she made my daughter cry after we left the store. The service is horrible and I would not recommend.

Had a pedicure and a gel fill. Worst experience ever. My feet were barely in the water 3 seconds before the grater was used on my heels. For again, about 3 seconds. So rough on cuticles it hurt. As for the gel fill, I have burns all over my cuticles from the over use of the dremel. I told her it hurt and it was too hot. It did not stop her. She gave me the wrong colour and when I told her she pretended she couldn't understand English. Have never written a review before but I work hard for my money and I am tired of poor service. Im kicking myself for putting up with it, I should have walked out but I guess Im too polite.

I use Gold Tip regularly for waxing, shellac pedicures and manicures. Their pricing is posted next to the desk and very reasonable. Service and attention to detail is great. I am never disappointed. They can get busy especially in the summer but will always try to accommodate a walk in. I highly recommend them.

I went to Golden Tip Nail Spa today for manicures and pedicures. One pepple do pedicure for me, at first she didn't seem to understand what I was saying but after a while she did well and I was very pleased. Then someone else manicure for me and she is the owner here. I don't like her and she has a bad personality when she says bad things about other nail salon workers. When she did my nails, she applied the powder to my nails very badly, and when she honed it for me it was horrible. When I charged, I gave $ 5 and said it was for the manicurist. When I left, I discovered that the woman who had manicure on me was very bad. Her name is Tammy

This was the worst nail experience I've ever had. The man who was to do my nails used a drill to remove my shellac polish. He broke one of my nails and then said your nail was already broken. I said it was fine when I came in. He continued to argue. The lady came over and she finished my nails continuing to sand off my polish . She put on new polish which is not even or smooth. My nails are now thin and close to breaking. Do not go to this salon

I definitely would not recommend. I heard lily is really good, bit the other woman not so much. nails wonky and/or too thick and buldgy. everytime I have gone, they take less than a week to fall off.

Worst pedicure I have ever had. The man who did it was in such a rush he hurt me on more than one occasion with both the nail scissors and memory board. Hopefully I will not get an infection. Avoid at all costs!
