Have been going to Renu spa for a couple of years and have always had an amazing experience. I highly reccomend the body scrub and they do the best pedicures in the city. Yesterday I was experiencing a strange pain on my side and called them to see if an RMT was available. Without any issues, they were able to fit me in on the same day. The RMT (Lee I believe) took great care of me; I felt remarkably better afterwards. Super professional and experienced staff - from front desk to the estiticians and RMT's. Will be back again soon!

Had a facial here and one of the steps involved was blackhead or whitehead extractions. The lady that did my extractions didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. She tried to extract a tiny (barely there) blackhead on my right cheek. She kept squeezing it and nothing came out. She left it at that and proceeded with the rest of the facial. At the end of the facial, the tiny blackhead ballooned and she said it was part of the purging process. 2 days later, pus was coming out of the now inflamed and infected blackhead. I was horrified. This has NEVER happened with any of my pimples/blackheads. Went back to this place and they quickly zapped the inflamed pimple with laser. It healed pretty quickly after that but I was left with an obvious indented scar. Do not. I repeat, DO NOT go to this place and let them touch your face!!!! I am still reminded daily of their incompetence. I would give them 0 stars if anything!!!

I and my friend went for facial at Renu 3months ago. Our first experience was great (at Kent branch) and we decided to go for another facial at Renu. This time, we tried Wellington branch. It supposed to be an hour appointment but the lady finished my facial 15 min earlier!! Plus, last time, we had steam for our facial but this time we didn’t get the steam part however we chose the same option for our facial. The concept of facial is similar to the massage, you’re going for a kind of relaxation, but the lady who did my friend’s facial asked 100 questions from where are you living, what are you doing to etc during the facial!! Not a relaxing appointment for my friend! In total, I prefer Kent branch not Wellington!

Always a wonderful experience here. My go to location for massages. I've had many different therapists and they've all been great. You can book online to make it easy, you have to call to book couples massage. They give you some Epsom salt at the end which is a great touch. EDIT: this is no longer the case. Massages are not overpriced and all of the therapists are certified. EDIT: prices have gone up a bit and treatment time I'm some cases has been reduced.

I've been coming here for over 2 years and love it. Many things make Renu Spa my go to place for massage therapy, one of them being my RMT Dawn. She's amazing, understanding and always helping me learn new things about my muscles and their problems. The staff is fantastic, super nice and always polite and welcoming. I especially appreciate that they call me by my first name when I come in. It feels personal. While it might not be the cheapest place for massage therapy, I feel it's worth the money because of the great service and the warm and inviting place.

Went for a pedi and a facial. Both were excellent and relaxing. I used to get my pedicure at a local nail salon. Never again! Although the pedi is more expensive than the nail salon, the whole experience is so far superior that it is worth every penny. The spa is very clean, staff are fantastic. I’ve been trying out different services in Ottawa to find a new RMT because I moved and wanted someone more local. I’ve had some very negative experiences recently in my search and thought I would have to suck up the distance, and go back to my old place to get a great massage. But Amanda at Renu was great! I loved the spa feel (nice music, oils, calm and dark rooms) and kindness of staff. The staff seemed happy to be there. I felt like Amanda did a great job checking in to make sure that I was comfortable but also took the reins to find spots on my body to work on without needing too much guidance. She came across as experienced and compassionate. I will definitely return.

I booked a couples massage for my husband's birthday this summer and the experience was no where near up to standards. It was our first time at Renu spa, and as new Westboro residents we were excited to visit Renu as we heard many great things from locals in the area. My husband's massage therapist did not deliver a professional RMT standard massage and used way too much oil to the point where it was dripping off. The biggest let down, however, was how rushed we felt before and after the massage. There was constant knocking at the door every 1 min while we were in the middle of getting dressed or undressed. Not only that, at the end of the massage they opened the door 3 times after a quick knock which made us feel extremely uncomfortable and rushed. That left us with an extremely frustrated feeling after what was supposed to be a relaxing time. I get regular massages and have been to many massage spas over the years and have never ever experienced this. There’s simply no excuse to open the door without permission. I shared our experience with the lady at the front desk and she seemed very apologetic and said that this will be reported to the manager and I would be contacted within a few days. She thanked me for my honest feedback and was told the manager takes these things very seriously. I never heard back from anyone for a follow-up and will not be returning.

My boyfriend gave me a Renu spa package for Mother’s Day this year and we weren’t sure how it was going to work with COVID-19. When they finally reopened they emailed me asking for my preferred date and time. I then got a phone call to confirm and was able to change my mind from what I had requested. My experience was amazing! They aren’t doing facials right now (and I had asked if I could trade it for something instead because I didn’t really want one anyways) and they were happy to oblige. The staff were friendly and consistently making sure they were keeping things clean. I had one woman the whole time and she was very friendly and experienced. I got a massage (first time ever), a manicure and a pedicure and she made me feel so comfortable with her. I’m really picky with my nails and she was so attentive to detail! I will definitely go back (I already scheduled a manicure in 2 weeks) and I will tell anyone who listens what great service I received! This place really is amazing!

I use pedicure and "massage therapy" services. The RMT are all licensed and other staff are well trained and experienced. The treatment rooms, ambiance and service delivery meet expectations.

I had microdermabrasion for the first time at Renu. When I arrived they were very friendly and offered water and a nice waiting area. The microdermabrasion went well (no pain) and the aesthetician was kind and informative thought out the process. There were also extractions and a small face/neck/shoulder massage. Overall I had a great experience. ONE negative thing I have to say though is that I could tell she was a smoker because as she touched my face, I could smell it on her hands. Obviously nothing can really be done about this (besides quitting smoking),but it did impact my relaxation a bit because I’m very sensitive to cigarette scent and allergic to smoke.

I went for massage a couple times and it was pretty good so decided to try this place for botox injections. If I could give it a zero, I would. The procedure was a super minor one, 2 wrinkkes, one unit on each. I have been doing injections for 3 years and never had any problems with 30 units or more. This one was 2 units. The wrinkle did not go away and I got a big bruise the next day ( from a tiny injection). The receptionist said it was normal. It is not! It was injected into the wrong spot! Oh, on top of that they charged me 50 dollars for consultation which the front desk people said would go towards my treatment. Well, it did not! After the treatment the other receptionist said she never heard of such practice! The worst experience I ever had with injections. Will never go back!

Amazing service! I went with the 50-minute massage for relaxation and had Anne, it was very relaxing. I work as Ultrasound Technologist and I'm standing all day, this full body massage was much needed! I've had professional RMT massages before, and Renu is all booked up until January due to the high demand. But, in my opinion Anne did just as great of a job and was very kind! My favourite part was the shoulder/neck and head massage. After the massage, I felt very loose and destressed. I slept like a baby after getting home. :) Thanks again, I'll be back!

Even though it was only $5 more, they waived the price difference. It was a really nice touch, and you can certainly tell that client-centered practices are core to their business. I booked a couples massage this past weekend, and the massage was definitely not up to standards, I called once I got home as I did not want to discuss the situation in front of other clients, I was told the manager would get back to me in 24hrs, I didn’t hear anything that night or the next day so I called Monday and the woman I poke to said the manager won’t be in till today, and that she’s not just going to call her at home she has children, I was a bit taken back as I have not asked her to call the manager on her day off, I had said that the people at the desk should know when the manager isn’t there so this kind of thing dosnt happen. I waited all morning today for a call and I didn’t receive one so I called myself, I got to talk to one of the managers and explained that the man who gave me the massage felt nervous was my best description, when I finished she said she was surprised as this was one of the best they have and had never heard anything like this about him before. The manager went on to say that she wants everyone to feel like they got their money’s worth. Unfortunately because it was registered massage there’s nothing she can do, all she did was offer $10 off an asthetic service. I am definitely less then satisfied and also very disappointed, I had thought a well respected place like this would have at least offered a complementary service or partial refund. But apparently they “can’t” do that. I will definitely not be returning for another service and will not be recommending Renu Spa to anyone.

I have visited twice now. The first time there was a mistake made in booking my facial. I had a mani and pedi booked the following day. They did switch it over to the next day but originally I had wanted all three the previous day and could not be accommodated, hence the two day booking. I loved my very professional facial with Aria. The pedicure was excellent but my hands were not sufficiently dry and so got knocked and chipped the same day. (When I was paying for my services). I had booked the following week for a couples massage fo my husband and me. I was quite happy with my massage but he felt that his had felt rushed. I'm not sure whether to book for 90 minutes in future. He won't be back. I have booked another manicure so we shall see. There is parking on the side street and the facility is clean and comfortable if on the small side. There was some kind of construction going on during the massages with the sounds of drilling. This quite likely lessened the desired calming effect.

One of the BEST massage places in Ottawa. I started going there looking for a prenatal massage since most places I had tried (including Nordik) did not provide the nice pressure I was looking for to relieve pain. Dawn at Renu on Wellington is phenomenal! Very communicative and is an expert and very strong too. The atmosphere is always so calming, you're welcomed with a glass of lemon water and get to relax from the moment you step in. I chose Renu for my laser hair removal (for my underarms). From my first phone call to my last session, I have had a wonderful experience. The friendly receptionist greeted me on the phone and answered any questions I had. I did my first consultation with Katie who was great to talk to. She was very honest with the process (about how it might not work. It doesn't work for everybody) and about what to expect. I started coming to the sessions and every time was warmly greeted and offered a choice of beverages. I waited in the "relaxation room" which I immensely enjoyed. It definitely lives up to its name and is far better than a regular waiting room! The wait was never long. The sessions themselves were quick. Katie always made sure I was comfortable and would ask if I needed a break. Though I have a relatively high pain tolerance, I can certainly say that the dentist hurts more than the laser. Overall it took me 7 sessions and the results are great! What little hair is left is fine and nearly invisible. I cannot recommend Renu and Katie highly enough and will be returning to get my legs done!

I must say, this is by far the best place in Ottawa to receive a massage.The facility is quite clean and they have a very relaxing environment in which their clients can wait and feel comfortable for their massage appointment. An improvement I would suggest would be adding the ability to book both massage and spa treatments together online (right now you can only book massage online), and as well to warm the massage oils prior to application on a client - felt cold every time oil was applied.

I went in for a back treatment and Anne was great. She made me feel very comfortable and the service was great, however, on their website it said that the Heavenly Back treatment included a hot stone massage, which I did not receive. After seeing it on their website, I asked if the hot stone massage was included in the treatment when I initially made my appointment and I was told it was. I also asked a second time when I received a reminder call the day before my appointment and again, I was assured that the hot stone was included. Needless to say that I was looking forward to the hot stone massage. When I went in for the treatment, I was surprised when she told me the treatment was over, yet there was no hot stone massage. I told Anne and she said she was not aware nor was she trained for the hot stone massage, and the receptionist seemed puzzled too when I told her I was assured that my treatment would include a hot stone massage and that it is also written on their website. Overall, my experience was good but I was very disappointed that I did not receive the hot stone massage, especially after inquiring about it twice and I was assured that I would. To be honest, the hot stone massage was what sealed the deal for me compared to other spas that offered a back treatment, so I was bummed out since I felt like I could have received an equally good treatment at another spa for a better price.

Renu is a phenomenal spa, I've become a regular there and I've always had great experiences from start to finish! It is a modern and clean spa-- the necessary precautions are taken to ensure both client and employee safety is a priority during COVID-19. The ladies at the front desk are always warm and welcoming. As for massages, Alysha Cashubec is by far the most amazing massage therapist I've had. She is very knowledgable in her field and the human anatomy, which she really applies to her massages and listens to any concerns/tight spots you may have and addresses them. On top of that she is super friendly and easy to chat to! You get both an emotional and physical relaxation session with her, what more is there really to ask for? Thank you Renu and the whole team for being so amazing.

I went to Renu for a laser hair removal consult. Katie was very honest and informed me that I wouldn't be the best candidate for certain body parts but still did a test patch anyway free of charge to verify. Throughout the process, Katie was attentive, honest, and communicated the information clearly and did not try to upsell me at any point (she almost did the opposite!) It is clear Katie takes pride in her work and does not want to give false hope or promises. The laser she used also barely hurt when doing the test patch. I was so pleased with the experience I booked my next appointment for the area that was a good candidate for laser. Would highly recommend!

These guys were the only ones who were able to schedule a badly-needed massage therapy session for me when my usual guy moved away before the pandemic. They had the staff, capacity, and the safety/pandemic preparation necessary to make me feel at ease. The place was more spa-like than I anticipated, but the the essential service I needed was professionally conducted and I felt a lot better. The location is conveniently located near the LRT.

I chose Renu to get laser hair removal on my back. After 14, yes 14, painful treatments and spending close to $3000, I am completely dissatisfied with the results. Of course I didn't expect 100% of the hair to be gone for good, I was told it would be around 80%, but in the end, it was more like only a 40% reduction. The real sad part is that I have to go back to the exact same waxing routine as I did before the laser treatments, which means I basically flushed $3000 down the drain for nothing and wasted my time for all those treatments. On top of all that, I got a burn on my upper arm during one treatment that left visible marks after scabbing over for about 2 months. If you're thinking about laser hair removal, I simply cannot recommend Renu one bit, try somewhere else, I can't stress this enough. I would hate for anyone else to waste as much money as I did trusting this spa for laser hair removal.

Unfortunately, Renu cancelled on me an hour before my booked massage which I drove into town for and arranged a babysitter for. I wasn’t offered an explanation just an option for rebooking. Not impressed. I had previously had a great experience here but this didn’t feel very professional. Won’t be booking here again.

I've been to this location several times over 2021 for massages for acute and chronic pain and all my experiences have been great, but I recently found RMT Alysha Cashubec who I cannot recommend enough. She has an immense knowledge of anatomy and physiology and she's helped me understand truly *why* the pain is happening and what kind of help I might need (e.g., physio, stretches). Living in pain is one thing but when you don't know why it's happening, it feels hopeless. And since meeting Alysha I have concrete terms and steps I can take to try to get a handle on the root causes of this pain. She's sent me notes and YouTube videos to learn more about what I'm going through, which is so above and beyond what I expected. I left my first session sending her name to all my friends and family in the area and two have already booked with her. If you have chronic pain, do yourself a favour and see Alysha in the new year.

The overall service was pretty decent except that I felt a bit rushed when I arrived. I would have liked to have used the washroom or had the chance to sit for a bit before being rushed off to the massage. As for the massage itself, the masseuse was way overly chatty. I don't necessarily like to fall asleep, if I do an added bonus, but I don't want to have an in depth conversation either. I also think the masseuse needs to be careful about using their body as support, for example having my hand rest against their belly for support (ewwww)!!! Not my cup of tea!

Particularly to Cindy for my massage. I had been with David for years and he left, and I found myself struggling to find someone again I felt comfortable with. I went from monthly massages to maybe one every 6 months. I convinced myself to go again and booked with Cindy and it was so incredible. She’s sweet, kind, very approachable when it comes to pressure change or location. She is just easy and comfortable making the experience lovely. I walked out and booked again with her for the next week. Very out of character for me which just stands to her skills. I was impressed by the extent of the protocols that Renu Massage Therapy and Spa put in place to assure my safety and comfort level. My first experience at Renu Massage was superb. A colleague recommended seeing Logan and my first session couldn't have gone better. He is very knowledgable about the body and was able to find issues I didn't even know I had... I am not an easy case to treat - with scoliosis, tremors and myoclonic issues from a concussion. He also gave me information and recommendations to point me in the right direction for getting further help that is out of the massage realm. Seems like he is very invested in his clients and very well equipped to treat them by going above and beyond. I will continue going to Renu and seeing Logan.

Excellent COVID protocols. Very clean, temperature checked, and I was one of the only clients (if not the only client) in the office at that time. Online booking is very user friendly and accessible. Logan is a fantastic RMT, highly recommend. He is officially my go to (full disclosure I've tried maybe 10 RMTs across Ottawa and Toronto). A noticeable difference in my posture and my walk immediately after my appointment. Overall a great experience at Renu and definitely not my last.
