Floating at ISÖ Spa was a transcendent experience. From start to finish the warm, welcoming and knowledgable owners/managers Mika and Jasson ensured that I was relaxed and knew everything I needed to enjoy floatation therapy. Immaculately clean, their well-appointed private floatation rooms and spacious float pods make floating there the ideal way to relax and tune out of the busy-ness of everyday life. I felt no need to rush back into the 'real' world and enjoyed some tea in the lounge, savouring my post-float glow. It was most definitely mind-expanding, and I felt the lingering effects of calmness and clarity for days afterwards. Thank you, ISÖ Spa, for providing the perfect float - I will be back!

ISO Spa is like an oasis in the heart of Ottawa’s concrete jungle, providing its patrons with the most relaxing experience possible. Not only is everything immaculate, but the ambient atmosphere in the store was catered to optimize your ability to let loose when you're in the pod. Every visit is a unique journey to reconnect with your mind, body and soul. It is highly recommended. Also, special shout out to Jasson. He was extremely accommodating for my every visit! Important tip: if you have any cuts/injuries on the surface of your body, please ask them to give you Vaseline. Make sure that you cover your wounds well upon entering the saltwater in the pod.

Option to have a headrest would have been nice. After taking shoes off at the front, would have appreciate slippers to use before or after float. Felt a bit rushed as we were told beforehand not to take more than 5 minutes after float to shower and get dressed due to high client volume that day. Very cool place. Very clean and well taken care of. You will float in a bath filled with the Epsom salt solution. The bath has a lead that you are supposed to close on yourselves, but you don’t have to. The water temperature is set to match body temperature, different for men and women. Some people relax and calm down. Others get stimulated and awaken. You may feel a little taller after the bath.

Best float tank experience yet! Iso Spa is beautiful! Its like the salt bath at Le Nordik, but private! It is so well thought out from the high end tanks to the ear plugs. The staff are very accommodating and knowledgeable. I am thrilled we have a float tank spa downtown finally! The Tea and free parking are certainly a bonus!

The facilities at ISO Spa are just amazing. The owners have done a great job in planning their business. The 4 floatation pods are probably the best on the market; unlike the "coffin-like tanks" you find elsewhere, these pods are welcoming, clean and relaxing. I am now a weekly user and it does marvels on a muscular condition I have since childhood. Mika, the co-owner will make you very comfortable if this is your first time experience. A great addition to Ottawa.

ISO Spa was my first experience with a floatation tank, and it was a great start! Set-up was quick and easy with help from one of the owners. It does take some time to get used to being inside the float tank, but once I settled in I was surprised at how quickly the hour flew by. I didn’t really hear any sounds from outside, so it was easy to relax while I was in there. The entire space is clean and well-maintained, and the waiting area is a great place to get your bearings back before you step outside.

This is a very comfortable place for isolation tank floating. It's clean, welcoming and staff are friendly. The pods are comfortable and kept at a warm temperature. I am back to floating regularly for my lower back pain from a car accident several years ago. I also enjoy the meditative aspects. Definitely try it!

I came into the concept of sleep deprivation skeptically and was very pleasantly surprised. Isospa has a very pleasant atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. Being able to zone out in space for an hour and come out feeling refreshed is fantastic.

Moved from Vancouver, where I floated regularly, and ISO Spa is definitely cleaner and nicer than some I've visited. As per the owner, there are pods with varying temperatures, and he said that people from the West Coast are accustomed to the cooler ones, so a heads up. Absolutely wonderful. Wonderful staff. Spotless. Can't wait to go again. I'd never gone immediately after eating, and it's not the greatest as my heart was pounding the whole time. Something to keep in mind.

Let me tell you how much I love this place! I've been to two different pod therapy places in Ottawa and after I went here, I keep coming back to this one! To begin with - it's location is super accessible and has PARKING! Downtown?? It's a miracle on it's own! And the place is beautiful and relaxing! And you're always greeted with a smile and there's nice water and plush seats for you to wait for your turn. But you never wait long and you're led to your pod room which is clean! It looks so nice and relaxing right when you walk in! So you get all ready and get inside the pod and it's soothing ocean sounds to get you started (everything of course is all explained to you, so do not fret new pod-ers!) and then it's pure relaxation until the very last moment! And then you get out and shower and you don't feel rushed at all! Afterwards you're asked how it went and boom! They go clean it all up so that the next person gets the same experience as you did! It's just, such an amazing place with great prices and if you follow their facebook or be in their newsletter, you get deals! Well worth every penny - my favorite pod place in the city! It's worth driving down from Orleans for this experience every single time!

By far the best float experiencece I've ever had. The tanks are top-of-the-line; spacious, warm, the hatches are wide and easy to open, and low enough to the floor that getting in and out is a cinch. Temperature stays constant throughout the float, which is extremely important. Earplugs are quality. Nice option to turn on LEDs inside the tank, safety assistance button nearby, and a spray bottle in case you get some of that dense epsom salt in your eyes. Incredible.

The experience at ISO Spa will leave you welcoming the chance to pass along this great find! It is extremely clean, well stocked with towels, hair dryer, shampoo, etc to make your stay comfortable. The blend of quality and simplicity is a perfect fit for the uber spa experience. Meeka’s warm greeting and friendly exchanges make the stay a breath of fresh air, a noticeable departure from the aloof and often pretentious customer treatment at other spas. I have recommended ISO virtually every chance I get!

Great place to go to unwind. Very relaxing and offered in your own clean private room. A very good alternative to a massage. The pods are big enough to avoid feeling claustrophobic (that you can keep open or closed). Plus, there's an optional blue light to turn on or off inside, at your convenience. A soft music starts and ends your experience in a gentle manner. They have free parking, which is a major plus. All in all, my first experience was positive, and I will be returning. Just don't forget to turn off your shower light, as the glare will be seen through the cracks of your pod. Otherwise, enjoy!

I liked my experience. I fell "asleep" and was panicked when I heard the waves to signal the end of my hour, as I was told the cleaning process starts at the end of the session. I didn't feel refreshed nor did I have a great sleep that night like the majority of float reviews claim. I will try again and see if my second experience is any better.

I've been a couple of times now and had nothing but positive experiences. I was apprehensive to try floatation therapy as the whole 'deprivation tank' thing freaked me out, but it's literally a personal bathtub that you float in. How can you go wrong? When you enter your private room, it's like being presented with a spaceship filled with water! You can keep the lid open, and the light on if that's your preference, but I enjoyed the experience of being enclosed and in the dark more than I expected. I've basically been a walking advertisement ever since; I can't stop raving about how relaxing I found it. The salt seems to have been good for my skin, too. Me and summer don't tend to get along well, so the 'drying' effect was appreciated. They provide moisturizing soap if anyone is concerned about that though.

Overall it was a wonderfully relaxing experience. During the float, there was excess noise coming from neighbouring units (loud banging) that did briefly disrupt the experience. The owner acknowledged that this was an issue and that he has taking steps to rectify. I would still go again.

ISO spa is very clean and professionally managed. The atmosphere is inviting and the owners are very friendly, knowledgeable and care about your experience. The float rooms are clean, roomy and comfortable. I trusted that the tank was filtered and hygienic when I stepped into it. There is a lounge area that is fresh and comfortable where you can enjoy a cold crisp glass of lemon infused water and flip through an interesting book before and/or after your float. The online booking tool is really convenient and easy - they have 4 tanks so it's easy to get an appointment time. I have been and will continue to be a returning customer.

The rooms are clean and the amenities seemed new or very well kept. The reason I am giving it less than stellar reviews is because I was COLD for the entire hour I was floating. Afterwards I told the staff that I didn't enjoy it because it was cold, and the attendant let me know that next time I should ask for it to be set warmer, but other than that didn't offer a discount or incentive to try it again. So if you're like me and you naturally sit a bit cold- definitely call ahead and let them know to turn the heat up!! Because it's a really expensive hour to lay there uncomfortable. First and last float. But I hope this review helps other people!

The Iso spa is a truly amazing place. I was visiting the Ottawa area and having some extra time I decided to try this spa.This was my first time trying flotation therapy, so I felt awkward coming in not knowing what exactly to expect.. The second I came in I knew that I made the right choice, the whole place is extremely clean and nice. The guy at the front desk was super nice and friendly and explained the whole process, I highly recommend the iso spa to anyone.

This was my first time trying a float spa. It was very clean and well put together. The staff was freindly. My personal experience wasn't fantastic. As there were some complications with my the light which was on a timer. It never turned off. Which meant I had to get out of my pod after 30 min of waiting. I had to turn off the light myself and after returning to the pod I got salt in my eyes... Which burns really bad and takes time to get out. It's a risk of being in the pod in the first place so, can't complain too much. However, after all this happening and finally getting a chance to settle my time was up. They did only charge me half. Which I suppose is good. I am still giving a 4 star because my husband went as well and he had a pleasant experience. He actually fell asleep in the pod and was very relaxing for him.

I have been to ISO Spa a few times for a float session and I always enjoy my time there. The rooms are always clean and I like that they provide small extras, like earplugs. I generally float for relaxation but I have found that it has pain relief benefits as well. The owners seriously care about your experience here and want to make sure you are getting the most out of your sessions. I highly recommend visiting if you are curious about the float experience!

They provide pretty much all the amenities you need to ensure a relaxing stress free float. You're gonna wish you can stay there forever, floating away. And yes, if you take sensory deprivation seriously, you can go in barebones.

Very clean spot, and very professional service. Explanation was thorough, and I felt well prepared for the experience. I recommend researching whether floating is something you're interested in, and what to expect. It did nothing for me, and I actually left 20 minutes into my 1 hour session because I was so hot and dizzy. Not sure if there are different warmth settings for the pods, but I couldn't "let go" because I felt my pulse in my face the whole time, like when you're in a hot tub for too long. The best part of the experience was the cold shower after the float. If you're looking for a good place to float, this is it! Just be warned, you may hate the experience itself.

If you like massages, you feel wonderful after but this you feel amazing during as well. And if you don't like massages because some just don't like to be touched this is a great alternative. Being suspended takes the preasure off your joints and muscles, giving them relief. Amazing! This spa is clean and modern, staff are helpful and the pods are cleaned in between clients. The last few months have brought with them an intensity and level of stress I am not familiar with, resulting in noticeably higher levels of cortisol and adrenaline in my system. I place holistic self-care high on the priority list, and yet in these times, have found myself participating in less healthy coping mechanisms involving processed, high carb, high sugar foods. As a result of all this, I've become aware of varying degrees of physical pain in several areas of my body that I have not experienced before. I'm an avid floater and strong advocate of all it's benefits, but my last float provided a whole new perspective in what it has to offer in physical pain relief. A 90-minute float in the late afternoon brought with it immediate relief (and general softening around all the "problems" my mind was convincing me of) but what pleased me most was waking up the next day completely free of pain and with much more range of motion than pre-float. There was also, of course, the familiar feeling of rejuvenation after deep rest, and all the good stuff that goes along with a magnesium boost. Not to mention, the folks at Iso always offer such a chill environment to hangout post-float, so needless to say a weekly float is just what the doctor ordered ????

I have had 2 great experiences at ISOSPA, and frankly I can't wait to get back. The place is clean and streamlined, you feel taken care of, and there is not much else you have to do but stay hydrated and get yourself there to enjoy your float. Each float I do seems to go deeper and become more profound. Some of the bonuses I have most relished so far are efficient and deep muscle relaxation, release and unwinding of fascia, and also a soft quieting of the mind that has lasted a few days. Being a Body and Energy worker with decades of experience, I am enthusiastically sending them my clients and friends, so they too can reap the many benefits of this kind of therapy. I wish we had something like this in my local. We have to travel more than 2 hours to get there. You are lucky, Ottawa, take advantage of this!

I am hooked! I have floated several times at downtown Ottawa's floatation spa and it just keeps getting better. The atmosphere is very relaxing, the spa is clean and the float tanks are very roomy and modern. The owner has thought of everything to make floating an amazing experience for the clientele. Floating is deeply meditative and very restorative for me. I can't believe how weightless I feel and how quickly I can get into a very relaxed state. I get relief from my post-concussion headaches, insomnia and anxiety and can meditate easier with no distractions. You can shut out everything when you float which is rare in today's hectic world. This is an excellent flotation service and easily ranks among the best I have visited. Each room is well equipped with all of the necessitates to prepare for your float and refresh afterwords. The provided float tanks are of generous size and speaking as someone who is 2m tall, I had no issue orienting my self without touching the pod walls. The only minor issue I can mention is that there is not much parking. All in all a great service and comes highly recommended

I have actively been avoiding posting feedback about this business since I visited on July last year. Since ISO Spa can’t seem to stop asking me for feedback, I’ll finally give some. I got absolutely nothing from my one and only experience at this establishment last summer, except for a deep dose of embarrassment. My aim was to use the isolation pod for relaxation and sensory-deprivation. When I came in, one of the owners welcomed me, and began his introductions to the pod, and the process. Somewhere in that speech, he said ‘so, you’re obviously pregnant,’ which I honestly thought I’d misheard. When I said I was not pregnant, he smiled condescendingly and laughed. I stared at him until he said, ‘you’re kidding?’ Needless to say, I felt terrible about myself having been body-shamed and then treated like an idiot. I spent my hour in the pod trying to make the best of what was a terrible situation, but ultimately did not find the process relaxing at all. The owner comped my visit. I was never personally contacted by the business about my visit. I have received numerous form letter requests to provide feedback, however, so here we are. I have not returned and do not plan to do so. I can only hope that my humiliating experience taught the owner a lesson about customer service and his treatment of women. I don’t see many other low ratings, so I am hopeful this business hasn’t treated anyone else the way I was treated. I would never recommend this business.

I was given a tour before booking my first float. The space is clean, quiet and modern. Jasson explained the health benefits of floating. He answered all my questions. When I did my first float I was greeted by name shown all the amenities. I was given helpful tips to make my experience more enjoyable. This needs to be experienced! The space is clean and has spa feeling to it, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. It is the perfect place to work out kinks in an overworked achy body or neck. The pod provides sensory deprivation which makes it a wonderful peaceful place to meditate or rest... Try it and enjoy;-)

The staff were genuinely kind and knowledgeable. The spa was cleaning and beautiful. I'm a little claustrophobic and afraid of the dark so I was quite nervous about the float. The woman who guided me through the spa explained hoenig could modify my experience so I wasn't uncomfortable. I ended up bring able to close the lid of the pod and turn the lights out and still feel completely relaxed. After the float, I slept better for the next few nights and my skin had never been softer. I'm so looking forward to my next float.

The one mistake I made, not showering long enough, I still had salt everywhere lol. So my next time I would take the time to make sure I'm salt free.

While I have not used the service, I purchased a package for my partner to utilize. She told me the only negative piece was the price and that the parking was over crowded - not much to be done here and if this is the only complaint, I thought it was a great, stress relieving gift. Considering the year we have all had. She had just lost a few family members to COVID and I was being called away to work frequently. The problem arose when we had to cancel/reschedule our service due to a work emergency on my end, however. Never have I seen such flagrant disregard for a customer's feelings and (ironically, for a spa) well being. Not only was the request ignored several times, the response we finally received was catty, toxic, and one of the most self indulgent, petty, quite frankly, sad replies I have seen. The owner's unprofessionalism in the face of a simple request is something I wish for everyone to avoid. They targeted my partner for her line of work, belittled her for something out of her control and brought up previous issues that had nothing to do with the current request. A simple explanation, minus the condescending tone, would have been enough to avoid this whole thing. Honestly, keep my money. Think of it as a donation - you obviously need it. But, don't cry to me about how COVID is only impacting you and yours while it is we and us living it. Please avoid this place - especially if you work for the Federal government, apparently - though I do not. Feel free to "check out my online profile", since it seems you do not have much business at the moment. Small business owners like this give others a bad name. Honestly, if this is their idea of customer service, I seriously do not trust these people with anything related to "stress-relief" Hit up the Nordik spa instead.

As I left ISO spa I realized that I felt very relaxed and had just had a very unique experience. Being a water person, as I am, it was excellent to experience something that I had never tried before and where the physical laws that I had experienced my whole life didn't fit. I could not sink in water. I floated like a cork without any effort! It wasn't until about a week later that I realized much more had happened. I went in with a lot of eczema on my hands and body. My hands were painful in the water due to the salt until I managed to ignore the pain. I went in with a newly developed fairly intense lower spine problem...severe pain that threatened to drop me on occasion when going to stand up or bending over. I suddenly realized after a week that my eczema had been strangely absent for the previous week (it was starting to come back) and my back problem had not recurred! The absence of these problems was a major relief in my day to day physical existence. I am actually shocked at how effective the float was for these two major medical problems. Soon I will need to go back! I so look forward to returning. Thank you for this experience.
