It is becoming a bit rare to find a true neighborhood beauty spa in Ottawa. A place where you do not feel unsophisticated simply because you drop by after work. This spa in Ottawa is a one of those small shops you just enter and it feels unpretentious, real and cozy. The service on massage and facial massage was satisfying. The stuff is friendly and I can recommend Elizabeth and Lydia. Prices are moderate. There is a free parking beside the building a big plus around Bank street.

I was excited to try this spa as it’s in my neighbourhood and reasonable prices. I booked a couples massage with my husband to celebrate my birthday and planned to try their facial and other services next. I’m sorry to say the experience was not even close to what I’m used to at other places. My main critique is they did not seem to invite feedback. When the ladies introduced themselves, neither asked what pressure we preferred or if we had a specific area to focus on — something we are used to at Third Ave., for example. My massage was done with rapid strokes. The music was lovely and restful but the quick, light strokes, that never actually worked into my muscles, just glazed over the skin, were more irritating than relaxing. When it was done, no one asked “How was that?” (I would have been kind but honest.) When we paid, they said “I hope you liked it,” rather than asking if we did! I am disappointed because I love to support neighbourhood businesses. Sorry to say I won’t be back and cannot recommend. Was hesitant to review but when I checked reviews and saw all 5 stars, I felt something should be said.

I visit Atlantis for a standard facial every few months. Magda is wonderful, thorough and gentle with my skin. I never feel pressured to buy anything (that has always been my experience at other spas). Great service and reasonable prices.

Great location and the customer service is very friendly. They seem to know most of the clients by name which is rare these days. One of the last small shops that still feels like a small shop and not a ultra expensive spa. I liked the laid back friendly atmosphere and the waxing was done excellently.

This Beauty Spa in Ottawa is a great little destination in Old Ottawa South. They focus on couple massage services and facial massage with acne treatment. I don’t usually need an appointment unless on the weekend and the staff is always very cool and friendly.

A little spa with a character is how I can best describe Atlantis Spa. Their facial massage is great and I find their relaxation massage a good balance between a deep tissue and the usual overly light massage. I can definetly recommend this local shop!

I was there on Friday November 30th. The first indication that it wouldn't be a great experience was that a stool was being used to support the head side of the massage table. The massage was mediocre at best. It was as if the ladies had gotten a massage, than said to themselves "Hey - we can do this". My wife and I got the couples massage. After it was over, I found out that she had had the same "can I just get up early and end it" moment I did. Also, the price was on par with other massages I have gotten... $200 for the couple. Save your money.

I joined the team of estheticians at Atlantis Spa in Fall of 2014. I am so impressed with how extremely welcoming the owners and managers were when I started. The environment and client service is the utmost professionalism and everyone strives to provide a relaxing comfortable atmosphere. We can’t boast as the biggest spa in Ottawa but pride ourselves on client care and excellence in all our services and hospitality. Atlantis Spa is one of Ottawa’s hidden havens dedicated to their client.

I went here this morning with my boyfriend for a couples massage and vitaglow facials. I was disappointed by the visual experience, it looks like its main service is hair styling and the room we were in was very small. The door was not solid, it had slats with space between, instead of knocking the lady just kept looking through the slats to see if we were ready. The beds were very small, I lad to put my hands under my legs to keep them from slipping off the bed, I am definitely not skinny but I am not large enough to warrant a large bed either. The massage was mediocre, they are not RMT so it is the kind of massage you would expect if you had a friend/boyfriend/family member do it for you. I mentioned that my feet were very ticklish and to avoid them but she did not listen because she rubbed my feet and almost got kicked in the face. She then proceeded to get a rough hand towl and again try to rub my feet. She then took that towel and used it to wipe away left over lotion of my skin. My facial was not what I had expected, she used too much lotion and regularly ran her fingers over my lips, I have a bit of a head cold so I could not breath out of my nose which meant I got many fingers with cucumber tasting lotion in my mouth. She also repeatedly rubbed my eyelids, not comfortable, it is a very awkward feeling, I have had many facials and that has never been a part of one, I asked her to stop after about 5 minutes of focusing on my eyelids alone. She very lightly ran her fingers over my face to my scalp and rubbed my scalp, to go back to my face and rub the oils from my hair on my face. As I had mentioned I have had many facials but never have I had someone perform extraction by pinching my face. I went in with what I thought what a clearish completion (24 years old) and I left with multiple white heads on my cheeks where I have never had a breakout problem before. Overall a terrible experience, avoid it at all costs.

I discovered Atlantis Beauty Spa a few years ago and have been a loyal customer ever since. Yes there are a ton of spas in and around the Ottawa area but I have found that the services provided by Atlantis and their staff has always been friendly, prompt and very professional. I have found the Spa to be a warm and inviting place. You're treated like a VIP guest from the moment you are greeted by the friendly Receptionist to getting your services done. I also like how there is a no pressure approach to how they do business. Atlantis is one of the more established Spas in Ottawa and I've found that because of this you get solid experience and knowledge from their staff. All in all if you're looking for a relaxing experience by great staff Atlantis is a good choice. Recently they've hired a new masseur named Adolfo. This guy hands down gives the BEST massage I've ever had. He has 26yrs experience and is well versed in all the most popular types of massages. He is professional and makes you feel at ease right away. I have some serious health issues which makes my muscles sore and tight and after one session with this guy I feel better than I have in years. I cannot stress enough how good this guy is. If you're looking for the best massage of your life I'd suggest trying Adolfo out. Trust me....you will not be disappointed in his abilities.

This is an excellent spa! I have been coming here for over 20 years and feel the staff are welcoming and attentive to my needs. The best facials are provided along with relaxing, soothing massages. My favourite is the Swedish massage with hydrotherapy. Amazing! I can't say enough about the professional and friendly staff. Noemi, Magdalena and Lydia will take good care of you.
