CRAZY expensive. Booked a month in advance for a bride-to-be and 3 bridesmaids. Arrived at 330 & wasn't done til 730. They only scheduled 2 people to work & squeezed in other waxing appointments while we waited half way through doing our nails. SO RIDICULOUS.

Well let me just start off by saying that after reading a couple of the negative reviews, I am shocked to learn that a few people had bad things to say about The TEN Spot Oshawa... I really don’t know how you can ever have a unpleasant experience here. First you’re greeted by the manager Denise who is super personable and very knowledgable about the products the staff and the services provided, she’s always a pleasure to talk to you and has a smile on her face every time which for me I work in the service industry as well and I can gladly say that having a smile constantly is very hard to do ha ha . The fact that they have beverages, you’re guaranteed to sit, unwind and relax in such a happy, pleasant atmosphere is such an amazing thing. For the services here I usually get an eyebrow wax and tint and I’ve been happy every single time I’ve been into the location. All the staff here are super friendly and have had not one unpleasant thing to say about it. It’s super clean the vibe is super amazing, not to mention the awesome music they play. Thank you for always making me feel like a TEN, that’s the whole experience and I’m glad I get to be treated like a TEN every single time I walk through the doors!

I didn't have the best experience the first time I went here. After being contacted by Kristen CEO, I was promised a better experience at my next visit and a complimentary wax. There was some miscommunication with the cashier at my second visit when I mentioned the complimentary wax. I was told there's no record of this as she pushed the debit machine towards me. The manager did contact me with an apology for the experience I had with her staff and worked to correct this. Denise went above and beyond to address my concerns which I appreciated. Over all I would say more staff training is needed. The facility was very clean, bright and in a great location.

Easy to locate and ample parking, was warmly greeted when I entered the building and was promptly screened as per Covid guidelines at their business. Very calm environment, the manicurist was excellent at her craft and made me feel very comfortable. 10 out of 10 on my goth manicure.

Wow! This location is the real deal!! When I lived downtown The Ten Spot was the only place I trusted for brazillies and since moving to this area I was super apprehensive to test out other places. I mean, not exactly something you want to be 'testing out', right?! When I saw The Ten Spot brand pop up in Oshawa I was so excited as their standards are HIGH. This location is super bright, ridiculous clean, and has major positive vibes! I was sold the minute I walked in between Christina's incredibly warm greeting, as well as the attention they clearly put in to making this place as upscale as you'd want it to be. I received brazilly waxing services from Jot - who I can only describe as a waxing goddess. This lady is PRO! As we all know this service isn't exactly "enjoyable" but Jot's style is the epitome of what you'd hope for. Also gals - they have TVs in the waxing rooms to distract you. We got a whole episode of FRIENDS in and I loved it! Hair removal with a side of comic relief. I can honestly say Jot's techniques were top notch and I have never had such a painless experience. I'm not going to say it was COMPLETELY pain free as we all know what's going down but pretty darn close. Request this babe if you can! I'm excited to go back and try other services. Prices are super competitive for the level of service you're receiving and 100% worth every dime. Looking forward to becoming a regular!

I had been going to another salon which used a dremel to remove my gel polish and destroyed my natural nails in the process. The Ten Spot gently removed the polish, and I took a nail polish holiday for a few months to allow my nails to regenerate. Went back in last night and got my nails done for Christmas. Went to the Ten Spot today for a pedi & gel mani and I couldn’t be happier with how my nails turned out and how great the service was. The salon itself was so cute and clean and helped with a relaxing experience. All the staff were very friendly and pleasant, and the girl that did my nails was so wonderful! Overall a fantastic experience and I will definitely be back! :)

So I booked a 1) Brazilly wax 2) eyebrow 3) full leg and 3) underarm wax. She did a fantastic job with my eyebrows and underarms, but my “brazilly” wax and full leg wax was kind of disappointing. I had some spotting due to beginning my period (extremely light) and on their website it states that waxing when on your period is okay as long as you have a tampon or cup in (like every other wax bars I’ve been to). When I got there, I made sure to tell the aesthetician about it like I usually do, but apparently they don’t do that (even though it is clearly stated on the website). This was a bit disappointing. Instead, she offered to do a thongkini, which I said okay to and it turned out alright. In regards to my full leg wax, I usually expect my full leg to be free from hair, but as soon as I got home I saw a few patches of hair still on my leg. A friend of mine who went the same day also said the same thing about leg hair still being there. The bedside manner and professionalism was good but I wish I had known earlier in regards to the Brazilian so I could book that at a different wax bar.

I had Amanda for the Quickie Facial. I'm honestly blown away at the level of professionalism and care that went into my treatment today. It was my first time having a treatment here and a facial. Being allergic to lavender makes a lot of skin care products unavailable to me but they took the time and consideration to ensure I didn't have a reaction and everything was comfortable for me. I'm so impressed at how kind and lovely the ladies were and I will definitely be coming back and recommending this establishment to my friends and family. I didn't have an appointment and was grateful they could accommodate me. I didn't like the girl saying, after working on my brows for 5 minutes "your brows are very different shapes, I'm not gonna lie " lady, most of us have been trying to maintain things on our own for the last 4 months. A little tact would go a long way. And $32 for brows and lip seemed a little over priced, especially since she didn't tweeze the stray lip hair. Won't go back

I have had many great experiences at The Ten Spot locations living in Toronto. Recently I tried out the Oshawa location and Jot did an absolutely incredible job on my brows!! I returned again to unfortunately learn that she is no longer working here. My most recent experience was far from as good. The shape of my brows were changed when I specifically asked for them to stay the same, and just be cleaned up. In addition, there were patches of hair left over. I’m disappointed with the quality of service I received and even more upset with how my brows look after leaving.

The employee working on my nails was very inexperienced, and constantly had to be told where to fix. For the very high price you pay, you expect a certain level of experience & quality - you will not find this here.

It was my first time having my nails done at The Ten Spot and the lady who did my nails was lovely and very nice. I enjoyed my experience and the salon was very clean. Unfortunately my gel manicure chipped after only 3 days and I was home the whole time doing minimal household chores. I’ve never had gel nails chip on me before and I’ve had them done many times at other salons. Especially considering the high price, I would expect them to last about 2 weeks. It’s not worth the money to get the gel manicure if it looks awful after only a few days. I could have just had a regular manicure instead. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

Not impressed. I am a regular mani every 10 days and pedi once a month girl. I am happy to spend a little more money for a great service. I didn't find the services worth the price. The effort wasn't there. I go to elmwood spa and pay $110 for a pedicure and its worth $110. I dont feel this place has anything any nicer than a cheap nail salon and the actual pedicure was less than a cheap nail salon my feet weren't as soft as they get them at the cheap places, no massage nothing to justify the extra price. may try another location but oshawa location isn't worth it I was there yesterday. I was the only person in the salon during my visit.

I came in for a brazilly treatment this morning. The lady at the desk, and the lady who did my wax were wonderful, kind, and professional. I am overall pleased with the services I received but do have a minor complaint. When I got home to do a thorough check of my new wax job, I noticed that quite a few baby hairs were missed leaving some stubble behind- which is disappointing... with this thought though- I will be back, as the service was great other than a few missed hairs, it was early and I get it!

As soon as I arrived they took me right in. I had my brows laminated and tinted. The cost also included waxing and reshaping, which I really needed after the lockdown. I was in dire need of a facial due to some issues I was experiencing with my skin and I decided to give The Ten Spot a try based on all the positive feedback I’d seen lately since they’ve opened. I went in on Saturday, what a friendly team. They asked good questions to understand my needs and were not pushy in trying to sell me anything. I started with an awesome facial with Emily....I actually fell asleep which has never happened! Afterwards, she walked me thru some recommended products clearly indicating what was essential and what was extra if I was willing to put in the time. I loved the experience and highly recommend you give it a try!

Very friendly atmosphere, however the service wasn’t the best for the “cheekini” wax. It took triple the time it takes anywhere else I’ve been, there’s still patches of hair in odd spots and tons of left over sticky wax. I’m also covered in bruises and my skin is ripped in some areas. I was expecting a much better job for a $43 wax.

The atmosphere and technician was great but I found it over priced for a shellac mani and pedi($141 with my tip...yikes) The other issue was that my manicure lasted exactly 10 days, I could peel the polish off my nails (as one already started to lift), with no issues and normally when shellac comes off your nails looks rough, my nails showed no signs that I had the manicure done. I will not return as it’s too pricey, and for that price my nails should still be painted two weeks later.

First walking in, my first thought was how CLEAN the place is. Definitely a good first impression. I was greeted by the manager, Denise, who made sure I was comfortable while I waited for my appointment. I showed up early and she made sure that I was in good hands while I waited. I got my eyebrows waxed and tinted. The girl (I forget her name) was extremely thorough with making sure that the shape and thickness was exactly what I wanted. She made sure that the colour wasn’t going to be too dark as well. The best part? I had my little boy with me and I was worried that I might be turned away for bringing him. Instead, we were both welcomed in with open arms and he actually fell asleep while we were there and slept through my whole appointment. I will 100% be going back to get my services done here!!

The place is very clean and proper the ladies are welcoming and very nice. However, the service I received was not up to par for the price I paid. I got full legs wax, it took about an hour where other places usually takes about 30 min. On top of that there were patches of hair that were not taken out. The girl who provided the service was simply not trained well, she was sweet and trying her best but again needs a bit more training.

I’ve been going to the Ten Spot for many years at the Queen west location always super happy. Unfortunately due to the situation I had to try this location. Staff not the most friendly/awkward. My estitician seemed uninterested and indifferent. I asked her to take more hair off and I was told they don’t do that at that location..um ok. I’m general not happy with me servíce the bare minimum was done. Can’t wait until my home base opens up.
