I got my nails done here, first time since quarantine and the nail technician gave me new cuts on every single finger on both hands, some had two cuts making washing hands so painful for weeks. the nail polish fell off the nail within a week and a half. Worst nail job I’ve ever gotten.

The Beauty Room is an absolute gem in our downtown core. The space itself is stunning, soft beds for relaxing, cozy chairs for pedicures and always immaculately clean. I have had two lash lifts so far and will certainly be utilizing their other extensive beauty services. Danielle took her time to ensure my lashes were just perfect, altering the process time to ensure they were not over curled. I am always greeted with a friendly hello and a hot cup of tea making my service just that much more relaxing. The best place in town for all your beauty needs!

As an adult with acne, I always perceived that at beauty establishmentsI was not the ideal clientele. Let's face it the people they use for their advertising are flawless in every way, as if they have never seen a spot of acne. At previous businesses I've attended, a number of treatments advertise that they should not be done on skin with active acne, and often will have one or two treatments safe for acneic skin. Far too often one of those treatments will be called a 'Teen Facial' describing that it's targeted for those with acne. I know what you're thinking, step up your game! Well I have been to establishments like that, or to places that will continue with the service and irritating my acne further. I've walked out after a service with skin so fragrant it could burn your nose hairs, so oily that product would drip off of my face. Well I was lucky enough to win a free collagen or Vitamin C facial from an Instagram giveaway. When I showed up I confided (yes I said confided, I still get embarrassed of my acne) in Danielle and instead of going through with one of the original treatments, and thus possibly further agitating my skin, she changed the service to a Vitamin A facial at no extra charge. I was beyond relieved, Danielle was focused on what my skin needs were. I left there glowing, my angry skin felt hydrated and light. I want to also include that i felt comfortable with every safety precaution was taken due to Covid. I will be definitely coming back to see Danielle and the lovely crew at The Beauty Room! *As a disclaimer I did get an upgraded mask that I paid for & an amazing exfoliant by miracle 10!

As a guy, my brows are really thick. I always hesitate to get them waxed, because I don’t like a “shaped” look or anything that looks too thin. Amy did mine and I communicated this with her. She did an excellent job at just simply cleaning up my brows and trimming them. Would highly recommend to anyone with thick eyebrows who are looking for a clean up! Definitely will be back!

Not impressed. I went a few weeks ago and got dermaplaning and a chemical peel. Spent over 120 dollars. My hair line has now been changed completely and she shaved off my widows peak and my side burns.. I have dark hair so now I have dark stubble growing back on my side hair line and forehead.

Another flawless lash lift & tint by The Beauty Room! This is the only place I trust with my lashes. Jessica always does exceptional work, she gives me confidence that she’s skilled at what she does and she’s very kind and fun to chat with at my appointments. I’ve been using the EyEnvy growth serum that is available here for 6 months now and between that and a lift & tint, my natural lashes legit look like lash extensions. The salon itself is beautiful and you feel pretty just being there. I’ve also had a shellac manicure done here and it was the longest I’ve ever had a manicure last without chipping!

Very spacious and clean atmosphere. Booking is very easeful (online and over the phone). Forms done over email - making entering less stressful as well. Products look great, courses look very professional and I love that they offer them. For the appointment itself my aestheticians always wear gloves, properly use the products, I know/see that they are following protocols, and answer any of my questions. Comfort is great there for waxing and is quickly done. I typically see Danielle - and now Eliza as well

My daughter got her eyebrows done here once, the lamination process and they looked awful! They were completely uneven and her left eyebrow had a different shape than the right. She went for lamination since she grows thicker, long haired brows so she wanted something to control the hairs and easier to do but they did a terrible job. Not only were they uneven but whoever did them clearly doesn't know how to work with thicker brows because she made them WAY to thin, especially near the ends. My daughter was extremely disappointed and will now have to wait until her hair grows back to get them fixed somewhere else. NOT EVERYONE WANTS THIN BROWS! learn to work with thicker brows, not everyone wants pointy arches either in the brow. Nice, friendly people but terrible at waxing

My first experience with The Beauty Room was excellent. It feels like an upscale downtown Toronto spa in the heart of Oshawa with premium vibes and branding. I had my brows and lashes done for the first time in forever! It was well-paced and relaxed, Danielle took her time, explaining it all to me and I loved the result. Before I left I booked another appointment as they are very busy and book up fast. If you are looking for a professional and relaxing atmosphere with very efficient and caring staff, try The Beauty Room! Aug.25 I had the perfect peach treatment done. Since then I now have ingrowns which I've never experienced before on this area much less a pimple. Reached out to them and they're trying to say that this isnt possible from the treatment and that I'm not exfoliating properly! I've never had to exfoliate this area until getting this treatment. They removed dead skin cells but not hair which I'm aware of but because the dead skin was removed, now the hair that's there is growing into the open follicle causing the ingrown. Because the follicles were never opened up before that's why I never had a problem or had to exfoliate. Honestly my skin was fine just the way it was dead skin cells and all I just had the perfect peach treatment thinking it would just clear up the redness but I got more than I bargained for. Like they say, if it's not broken dont fix it! NEVER going here again or getting this treatment. Not necessary at all! The face getting exfoliated is different because you dont have much hair there.

Danielle, you're really good at what you do! I was petrified to have this done because my most recent wax at another establishment was terrible. I told Danielle about it on booking and asked if she had anything to help with pain. Get this...she didn't even use anything for pain yet it was the least painful wax I've ever had and this is saying alot considering I'm 8 months pregnant which makes me more sensitive to pain 'down there'. Thank you so much, I'm so grateful for the experience. So gentle, empathetic and I didn't feel rushed which helps. Thanks alot

Honestly, I think Jess might be a real live angel. I used to get lash extensions done at another salon and my eyes would burn, and the lashes would hardly last 2 weeks.
