I am very nervous about getting my hair cut. Recently I went in for a major change. I haven't had my hair really cut in about a decade. I had 8 inches of hair taken off and oh boy was I ever nervous! But the ladies that work here are not only really nice but super talented. The stylist i had gave me a great hair cut and I absolutely love it. 10/10 will go here again.

A week after my facial with Sacha and my skin still feels amazing. Sacha is extremely talented and I thoroughly enjoyed her massage during the facial. Harmony performed a wash and style after my facial. She asked me how I would like my hair styled and did such a great job! She almost put me to sleep when performing the scalp massage. All the staff are extremely welcoming and made me feel right at home. I will be coming back!

I use Jen for all my waxing and pedicure needs. She is absolutely fantastic. Extremely professional and she keeps her space and supplies very clean. I have been seeing Jen regularly for well over a year and a half and I would never go anywhere else. My appointments are always on time, which is perfect when I book an appointment during my lunch break. Also all the staff is very friendly and I do love the boutique feel this place has. Went a couple of months ago to get my hair done by Shelby, my natural colour is a dirty blonde/light ashy brown. I told her I didn’t want an all over colour, I just wanted to break up the contrast between my lighter roots and darker (outgrown) hair. She suggested a blonde balayage and said that it would help to make it less noticeable. My hair looked just like it had a few blonde highlights when I left, she had curled it and styled it so it looked fine, very very small different but it looked alright. I left the curls in for the next day and then the day after when the curls were gone I noticed how splotchy the highlights were, and they only went to where my roots started so it just looked like I had brown hair with blonde highlights that had grown out. I did cal back to book an appointment but couldn’t afford nor did I want to go back to that place. That was in July, and I’ve just been to see another stylist who can’t believe I spent $120 for someone to add what looks like grown out, orangey highlights. It definitely looks 100000x worse than it did, and my new stylist said that it’s in no way a balayage and that she just through in highlights. I should’ve just gone back to get some money back so it’s my own fault for not trying that, but the lady on the phone said it would have to be the same girl to fix it and I didn’t want that so I cut my losses. I’ve added a photo of how my hair looked when I left. I’ve shown this to my new stylist who says this is NOT balayage. Also a photo of my hair this morning - as you can see the blonde highlights are like halfway down my head - definitely not from 2 months of hair growth, it has grown out a bit, but it was very far down from day one.

Really nice salon, owner Jodi and the girls are friendly and make you feel welcome. I booked an hour facial with Tara, who does a wonderful massage along with a good facial, my skin was glowing. Included wash and blow dry, so I left the salon feeling and looking good.

I had a balayage and cut done by Taylor. I mentioned how I struggle to maintain colour on my own. She put thought into how the colour faded, and now (a couple weeks later) I love my hair even more than I did on the day of! Taylor provided great service, suggestions, and company. Was my 1st time going to just us salon last week and was 1st time in 5 yrs being to professional . I had Debra who was so patient and knowledgable and was able to understand what I was looking for with my hair even when I felt like I wasnt making sense ;) ..she guided me through what we should or shouldn't do and i love my cut and colour she did . The salon itself is very relaxing atmosphere and super friendly staff and I felt at ease as soon as I walked through the door Can't wait to go back, especially for the shampoo and head massage ????

My first visit to Just Us was with Sacha, she gave me a facial and waxed and tinted my eyebrows and it was AMAZING! Sacha is so knowledgeable about skin care and took extra care to educate me on how to improve my skin. She was kind, and thorough and I was so so impressed. I’ve already booked again to see Sacha in a few weeks. And I’ve recommended her to a bunch of friends who loved how my eyebrows looked. A++, gold star.

I knew that moving to Oshawa meant finding a new hairstylist and so thought I would start trying salons - I "tried" Just Us first and have no desire to go anywhere else. Everything from booking the appointment to parking was easy and pleasant and then the actual colour and cut were FANTASTIC. Debra didn't just listen to what I thought she actually talked through options and made me a very happy client who is sure to return. I am confident that whether you are conservative in what you want or are in a place to try something new with your look this is a place that will make you very, very happy with your choices. What a relief to have found a salon that is professional, comfortable and affordable very close to home.

I have never had such a bad experience as with the salon. The owner is a typical "Karen" who did not honour the appointment I had because I am a single parent and dared to bring my daughter with me. Zero understanding or compassion. She overbooked her salon so that not even one tiny person can squeeze in! How ridiculous and greedy of her. I am glad I didn't get to get my hair done here and pay to someone who lacks common sense and ability to make the right decision from heart vs her rule book. I don't think this business will do well in the long term but good luck!

First off, I wanna say that I LOVE my hair! I’ve been to Taylor twice and she always makes me feel like I’m walking out with a whole new persona because of the way she perfects my hair. Not to mention that she messaged me a couple days after to make sure it was still as toned and I was still loving it (which I was) If I could give 10 stars I would, the salon is the cutest setting and Taylor helped made me feel so comfortable! I'm new to Oshawa and looking for a salon to have a cut and dye with highlights. I found "Just Us Boutique Salon & Spa." I debated the review, though I decided I wanted to tell of my experiences with this salon. My first impression was that the girls were not very friendly; they did not try to engage in a conversation while the receptionist sat on her phone. OK, chalk it up to COVID?? Being new to the salon, I thought they might have tried a bit harder to be a bit friendlier. My stylist was pleasant enough; I had asked for colour with highlights explaining that I did not wish for my highlights to turn yellow, which has been an issue in the past. She then said she did not feel comfortable doing highlights and talked me out of them, as I thought she did not feel confident enough to give me my highlights. Probably not being too smart, I wore a new white top that I had gotten a great deal on it and ended up with dye all over the sleeve as the dye brushed was dropped on me. Overall I came out with a different colour and style than what I went in for, not even having the amount of hair cut off as requested. The stylist went in several times to cut out the bulk, and I just gave up wanting to ask a 3rd time to cut more. Costing me 140$ (which of course I gave a tip as I always do because I'm nice) Due to the T-shirt being ruined, I might have given the client a bit of a discount! I would not go back. I left extremely disappointed, wrong cut, mousy colour, no highlights and a ruined new DKNY!!! Maybe being from a big city, I expected too much!! 2/10

(this is my throw away account). My feet have been driving me nuts for a while and my boyfriend gave me a gift card to visit a salon (we recently moved to Oshawa, so he gave me a WaySpa gift card). I found this salon and I'm in love. I went to Sacha for my pedicure and not only do my feet look cute again, but she really brought a smile to my face! She's very sweet, educated, funny, personable and whitty. I completely forgot I was even getting my feet done because I enjoyed her company so much. I've had many pedicures before and I'll absolutely be returning because of this employee. 10/10 for Sacha!

This was my first time coming here. I randomly found this place by searching Google for near by hair salons. I decided to check them out based on the previous reviews I saw. For me it's all about the customer service and how they treat you as a potential client. I decided to call the salon and see based on how they answered if I should try them or not. The person I spoke with was friendly and nice understood my needs. I had my appointment today and was greeted at the door with the warmest welcome. The staff made me feel comfortable. The environment is very welcoming the staff is amazing. Please be patient with the staff. I spent about 4 hours in the salon and those girls didn't even have time for a quick break. Overall I am happy I found this place. Shout out to Taylor, Cher & Jodi for making my experience go so good.

Great place! My favourite spa to attend for treatments. I see Jen regularly for waxing, and she’s the best. It’s a great spot and easy to access, close to downtown. The inside is clean and bright, and all the staff are super friendly. The prices are excellent, and the quality of treatment is above and beyond. It’s really easy to book your appointments and reschedule online, which is a huge bonus for me.

It has been almost a year to Date since this happened. Due to how horrible the owner treated my hair when going in for highlights it’s been a year to get to to a place I can feel confident. After she did my hair I was trying to tell Jody my hair was silver and grey. The attached photos are (2 DAYS) after my hair was done after one wash. I ended up paying on the same day the photos where taken at a different salon to get it “fixed” the stylist was taken back at how horrible my hair was treated. It took me days to attach photos and send Jody an email. She never responded even with the attached photos. My emails expressed how disappointed I was but was polite and nothing! It’s a shame this happened, I hope no one else leaves feeling this way. Today I got my hair done and feel amazing like it’s almost back to a place where I’m feeling beautiful. The no response to my email and refusing to hear my concerns are unprofessional and when it comes to being a women and how we feel this is not a good situation.

I was very disappointed with the outcome of my hair. I had asked for a platinum balayage, and got nothing close to it. The staff was nice until I said that I did not like it. Throughout the process, I noticed that Taylor, the hair stylist, didn’t bleach the mid-ends of my hair, and I brought that up and she was like I will put a lightning conditioner which will bring it up by a level, at the end my hair was still a very warm tone and that was because she didn’t lift it at all. Because of this, I was like can you add in some bleach to lift the colour more and Taylor really said to me “Oh, like you can’t live with it” and that other people can’t tell yet EVERYONE around me did end up noticing the rough work. I will acknowledge that she didn’t put the bleach at the end, but she put a toner, and I genuinely didn’t notice a difference with the toner, and when I said that I didn’t notice it, she got defensive and said “Well, I do”. These side comments were just completely rude and unprofessional. I ended up going to another salon and got it completely redone. Very very upset with this Salon, I do not recommend this place to anyone. She still did charge me and I can’t believe she left me leaving the salon looking like that, I just can’t believe I also ended up tipping her, instant regret. Also, she did take before and after pictures of my hair, and didn’t end up posting because I am sure she knows that its UGLY. First pic is what I asked for, and second is what I got. Looks so similar to the before pic of what I asked for...

Jodi is a Hair Styling Goddess! I have been taking my unruly, naturally curly hair to Jodi for over 20 years. Her Salon is beautiful inside and out. When you arrive you are always offered a coffee or tea and then you make your way to a fabulous shampoo that is a spa treatment in itself. I schedule weekly Blow outs at Just Us, and always look forward to my visits to the Salon. The staff is super friendly, and the spa services are amazing. I always feel welcomed as soon as I walk through the door. Love, love, love this place!

Great customer service! Got lucky and was able to see someone today for just a cut and wash. Saw Debra and she did exactly what I wanted (knew how much to cut off, where to part my hair, and lightly diffused my hair). Went to first choice once before when I couldn't book anything sooner with my hair dresser, and they cut too much off (maybe because my hair is curly?)...Debra just took off the split ends but kept the length I wanted. Will be going there again! Thanks girl!!!
