I live in Scarborough and have been to many many nail salons around Toronto! I make treck out to North Oshawa for Chrysalis because when you make an appointment they honour it and never rush you. Also, the quality is impeccable! I go to see Jen and she is so skilled and detail oriented. YOU CANT BEAT THE PRICE EITHER! This is the best salon in the GTA !! Updated this review with a new picture because I love the quality of work! I can’t wait to go back in a few weeks for my Halloween nails! Still obsessed with Chrysalis Nails!

My friends have raved about this salon and how they get their eyebrows done. I'm planning on getting my eyebrows done for prom later down the road so I wanted to give it a shot. At first I was very hesitant to go in as I've never had them done before however I'm very glad I went. I walked in, told them what I wanted done and the women, Kim, brought me in the back and took a look at my eyebrows. She kept asking if I was sure I wanted to get them done as she believed my eyebrows were nice to begin with. She finally asked me to clarify what I would like and I just said whatever she thought would be best. She told me the prices and walked me through everything she was doing, she waxed my eyebrows very quickly and in a professional manner and tinted my eyebrows perfectly. 10/10 would recommend!!

I'm new to the salon, I've worn nails off and on for decades , I have been to many salon's over that time and have also worked as a nail tec.at midtown mall in the late 80's. This is only my second time there ,I found Jen whom does my nails is very Good. She taken the time to ensure ur nails are smooth like glass and I'm happy with her malicious work . MY only concern is how they price ,if u have any type other then short nails you pay more due to length.. 50+ doesnt seem to include any designs .I've had same pricing that includes shellac and design . But pay more here for it . It's a nice peaceful salon ,which is a pleasure to attend.

I came to Chrysalis for the first time yesterday and was quite impressed. I had a bio gel mani, pedi and lash lift done and all good great. I love that Kim took her time to ensure the quality was top notch and I never felt rushed so she could get to the next customer. That attention is rare to find in today’s nail salons. I will be coming back as a regular for sure.

Really Bad experience! I was there for 3hrs exhausted! Kim didnt have the courtesy to give me water asked twice. I was really Fooled by the 4.6 rating ! Kim doesn't treat well for young women around 25yrs. She give attention and care to older people. Because a women sitting next to me was an 45yrs. She didnt ask for a hand cream but after her nails done kim provided her but not me. I went for my nail art , pedicure and mani. Less staff so couldn't do manicure. Pedi wasn't great waste of money. And nails she didnt have any models or choices whatever I show she says she cant do it. She did a very poor design and didnt put the polish fully and she was doing my shaping in a hurry so shape didnt look good. I was very unsatisfied even if I Express she didnt bother about it . Totally bad experience I really DONT recommend THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE !!

This was my first experience at Chrysalis Nails and it won't be my last. The ladies were wonderful and made me feel right at home. I got a medi / pedi and really enjoyed the hand and foot message. Lots of colour choices and great pricing. This is my new go to nail place in Oshawa!

WOW! Is all I have to say, I've been coming to Chrysalis Nails and Spa in Oshawa for about 4 years now and I have never had a bad experience. All the staff from Jessica who does wonders on my toes to the owner Kim who is a nail goddess. Everything is beautiful when complete. *UPDATED* This was my second time here, and I could not be happier with the results! Kim is amazing and honestly the best in Oshawa, she takes her time and she is so careful. Very worth it! These nails could last up to more than 3 weeks without lifting or falling off, it is incredible! (Pink nails: FIRST TIME, White nails: SECOND TIME)

I can't say enough good things about Chrysalis nails. I was a bit nervous about getting my nails done due to the pandemic, but was SO impressed with the procedures in place to keep everyone safe. The salon requires sign in and hand sanitization upon entry. They have plexiglass shields with space for hands and feet to pass through but prevent air exchange between the customer and service provider. All surfaces are continuously cleaned, polish bottle lids sprayed after touching, and samples all sanitized after handling as well. Chrysalis nails is 100% complying with government mandates and I would recommend this salon to anyone pandemic or no pandemic!

I had my nails done by Kim and I am so so so happy with them! She takes her time and makes sure the nails are shaped exactly the way that you want them to look. I do like having longer nails so it is an additional 10$ for length (which is pretty standard) but 100% worth it for the work that she does. Keep up the amazing work ladies! I will DEFINITELY be coming back :)

Went yesterday for the first time and was very impressed! I got a natural shellac French mani and pedi and it turned out beautiful! They didn’t rush and took their time perfecting and shaping the tips. Very friendly staff as well, I highly recommend!

I keep going back to Chrysalis Nails because they do THE best nail work in the region for such amazing prices. They spend whatever amount of time is necessary to make sure your nails look fantastic; their attention to detail is excellent. I could go on, but I will just let my newest manicure (bio gel nails with shellac and nail art) do the talking. I’m adding a new pic of them to the google reel; they are the sparkly red ones with the Santa hat 4th finger. Their pedicures are also great and relaxing.

Amazing salon!! I had great customer service on the phone when I called and when I came in to the salon, Kim greated me and was very welcoming and was so intelligent about the products she uses for nails and her suggestions for what I should use. She used a healthy alternative for my nails that helped strengthen them (since my nails tend to chip), and the product didn't have a harsh/strong chemical smell (I believe it's called dip). I asked for this style for my nails with the ombre and it looks even better than the picture I brought to her. Everyone was so friendly and I am loving my nails! It was my first time today and I will definitely be returning, thanks again Kim! On a side note: She was always making sure other clients were okay and checking in. A lady next to me started coughing and Kim offered her water or asked if she needed anything to help her. Really kind hearted staff and had some great laughs at my visit. Great atmosphere to be in!!

I always get my nails done here. Kim is the sweetest and puts her time and effort in making your nails perfect. Esp her french tips. Pedicures are always satisfying too. Call in to ensure a spot but the best times to come is in the afternoon when its not busy.

Went yesterday to get a fill. Don’t remember the name of the girl that did my nails but what a horrible experience. She argued with me about how I wanted my nails. And I had a nail with a crack in it high up and she was just going to put the gel on top, I asked her to remove the nail and re-do it so it won’t break. She didn’t remove my nail she only filed it down and burned my nail bed. She told me my nail won’t break. I shouldn’t have to beg when paying for a service to do something that will prevent breakage. Very next day (today) mail broke while putting my fingers through my hair!!!

Jen and Kim are amazing!! I have been coming here for 6 years now since Kim opened up the store.. I was one of Jen’s first clients.. she took her time and has always done a fabulous job just like Kim.. They are always SO busy that it’s best to book an appointment.. Kim was so gentle with my nails and hands, and incredibly thorough. I brought my Mom for a pedicure and my Mom also commented on how she liked that the technicians took their time. I’m so tired of rushed nail appointments that are painful and overpriced! Chrysalis Nails is definitely superior quality to many salons in the area with competitive pricing. I’m very happy with my nails and the whole experience. Great colour selection and services! I definitely will keep coming back.

I highly recommend Crystal nail spa. Kim takes pride in all her work. She always make me feel right at home and I always leave happy. Paint done very evenly and quickly. All nails evenly trimmed and filed. Prices are reasonable. Very busy and do a great job at managing time between clients. Only trouble was not being able to get a hawiian flower design. Picture is taken 2 weeks after. Shallac didnt last long.. Maybe a week but still worth it for 2 extra dollars

Once stage 2 opened up my mom and I needed a pedicure. Being very hesitant we booked an appointment. We were very happy and pleased and felt safe and clean. Everyone wore masks ... the employees also wore shields and gloves. They had plexi glass in front of us. And we were so happy with the quality and mom was very happy that her ingrown nail was very well taken care of. We will definitely be back!! Thank you

I came as a walk in several months ago to get a refill on my biogel nails. Ever since, I have had amazing service and always great nails! They always last 3-4 weeks with minimal breaking. I moved to the area about a year ago and I'm glad I finally found the best nail salon in Oshawa! Kim and her staff are always friendly and welcoming and I will keep coming here to be getting my nails done and pedicures!

They do a decent job on my nails but they are way too slow. I was sitting in the chair waiting for someone to come back and do my pedicure for 20 minutes. I don’t know if she was in the back having breakfast but at 10:30am I would expect her to have done that before work started.. Time is money! I want to be in and out. Also, listen to your clients! If I say square I mean square ! Not square with round edges! ????

The owner is very friendly! Gives great advice on what treatment would be suitable for your nails. The prices are reasonable compared to what’s charged by other spas. However you do need to wait for quite some time until the service begins so make sure you take that into consideration before coming in. The staff is good at their job as well! All in all I had a good experience!

I've been here twice now for shellac manicures. The first time I went, I didn't have to return until 3 weeks later because the shellac lasted so long. Usually my shellac manicures start to lift, there was none of that. The ladies also take their time and make sure everything is perfect all while taking care of others at the same time. That's just talent. They also don't charge extra if you want a design. Everywhere else I've gone always charges $5 more. The second time I went I got a pedicure too and the massage that came with it was amazing. I felt so relaxed leaving. Thank God I moved around the corner from this place because I found my new regular nail salon.

I’ve given this salon a couple of chances now. I left feeling disappointed for the last time. The nails are bumpy and uneven, the polish is chipping and the gel was laid on SO THICK. I sat there for at least 15 minutes during the middle of my session while she attended to a walk in request to fix a nail. I also observed a young lady waiting in the pedicure chairs for at least 25 minutes past her appointment time until they finally got to her. The quality of service does not match the price tag.

Soooo amazing!! Went with my boyfriend for my birthday and we both enjoyed it! We got deluxe pedicures and I got a manicure, and they did such an amazing job. The pedicure was relaxing and really well done, and the manicure was so precise and gorgeous when they finished!! Super happy with the work they did. The atmosphere was relaxing and fun (my boyfriend fell asleep during the pedicure haha) and I will definitely be going back there again!! 10/10

Kim and all her staff are so cheerful and pleasant. The salon is immaculately clean and I was so happy with the beautiful French shellac that was done on my nails. Came here for the first time and let me just say I'm not even going to test out other nail salons because the girls here did an INCREDIBLE job. Shape, colour, service everything was just wonderful. Most places i used to go to finished my nails in under 40 minutes but here they took their time which is what I loved, never had such a perfect shape until i came here. One nail had a small crack in it and i got it fixed the next day no charge. New fave place!

They must do other people nails nice but if u get any ACTUAL LONG nails they charge u so much for a basic shellac over acrylic nails with long but not super long is 60-70? For acrylic?Where do u see that at they must be adding in their tip with the cost because where does that make sense when I can go pay 40-45 somewhere else for the same exact thing .....

I started coming to this salon about 4 months ago and I am always so impressed! Kim and her team are wonderful and always go out of their way to make sure the client is satisfied. They never rush and always make sure my nails are perfect. I get the dipping powder on my nails which I am also very impressed with- it lasts long at my physical job and never chips! Probably one of the worst nail places I have ever been too. The lady doing my nails almost made my nail bleed because she was so harsh. Her behavior was rude, and it seemed like she only liked her 'regular' customers. oh, yeah for an acrylic full set she charged me $40 but the length is too short. Apparently for longer acrylic nails the price is above 40$. Ridiculous. This was my first and definitely my last time going there.

I was visiting a friend in Oshawa, and we were browsing the internet to find a salon for our nails. We came across Chrysalis reviews and were really impressed. Upon arriving at our appointment time Kim, and her team very quickly had us settled and comfortable. Kim did my nails, and throughout the entire manicure she made sure I was happy. She did a magnificent job, she was all about perfection. Very thorough, and professional! I couldn’t be happier. I asked Kim to surprise me with the design for my nails and she did an absolutely gorgeous flame design in a pink sparkle. I’ve gone here many times over about 4 years and I’ve never left disappointed. Their prices are a bit expensive but it’s worth it for the quality of work you get. She’s fast and careful, Kim is just amazing at what she does.

I went their for the first time and only choose to go there because it had good ratings online. They took me in 35 minutes late. My gel nails were put on great they lasted 3 weeks which is what I was looking for. But when I asked if I could get designs on my other nails, the nail te Haitian straight up said no. And I kept insisting and she kept refusing. Firstly because she said its too much amd second of all becaus ethey were apparently closing down the salon early becaus ethey had a fmaily trip to go to. Also they didn't post anything online or put up a sign on the door. So when people walked in to get their nails done they turned them down. Also I found it overpriced, for the service I was provided. I wouldn' recommend to go their to get your nails done but to get designs go somewhere else.

I've been going here for over a year now. Kim and the girls are just amazing. Great nails every time. There facials and massages are wonderful as well. I highly recommend this! Ignore the bad reviews, they have no idea what there talking about. I love this salon.
