Not for me. Thought sitting in the salt cave for 50 minutes was relaxing. Then I was turned over to a tall, looming fellow who was to give me the "massage" and "reflexology". Left all my clothes on. It was more acu-pressure on my back, pressing here, pressing there. Then I went on my back and he started throwing my legs in the air ??? twisting me left and right. I screamed out in pain, as I repeatedly told him to be sensitive with my right knee. He said, "this is your leg, not your knee." I further explained I came for a massage not a yoga session. Then he rubbed by head a few minutes, my feet about 3 minutes. Do not recommend this place.

WOW! A group of ladies and I went Friday evening to a meditation session in the Salt Cave in Oakville. Ana and Joy were beyond fantastic to us every step of the way. From booking the session to experiencing it, I was satisfied all around. This meditation session was peaceful, insightful and relaxing in the cave. Visited the Salt Cave this past weekend and had an amazing experience in the Infrared Sauna and in the Salt Cave itself. The owner was very kind and accommodating. The cave's upkeep is great and we really enjoyed our time here and will definitely be coming back! Highly recommended!

My wife and I had a wonderful day today at the Oakville Salt Cave. The new owner Anna was very nice, helpful and accommodating to all our questions about the salt cave and its benefits. Luis was very knowledgeable and gave a wonderful Thai Massage, and we topped it off with some time in the Infrared Sauna. It was a great and relaxing experience we intend to repeat.

My friend and I booked went to Solana Salt Cave today and here are our thoughts/experience. 1. We booked this through Groupon, it is more expensive on Groupon and you have to pay tax once you get there 2. The receptionist was not very friendly, and she was not very good at explaining why Groupon was more expensive and the tax situation 3. We booked this as a joint experience and that never happened. I got to sit in the Salt Cave while she had a massage for 50 minutes and then we switched 4. The Salt Cave is incredibly boring by yourself and is freezing. The chairs are the type of loungers you would have next to your pool or at a soccer game (cheap and uncomfortable). It is also hard to relax when you can hear everything going on upstairs. 5. The massage was alright, I've had better Thai massages before but it wasn't terrible. The room was very small, it was clear that the masseuse did not have enough room as he was constantly kicking a stool around. Additionally, it was hard to relax because you could hear everyone upstairs, the receptionist on the phone, the floor was incredibly creaky and the music had some weird seal calls in it. 6. The only thing we got to do together was the sauna, which was cramped but not terrible. Overall, it wasn't a horrid experience but certainly not what you except when you book a joint spa day. The massage wasn't bad, but I think going forward I'd rather spend my money strictly on the massage, the sauna and salt cave didn't really do much for me.

I booked the Healing Package x2 for my fiancee and I and specifically booked a day weeks in advance where we could have a couples message. The day before I received a reminder call and I confirmed the details which included the couples massage, separate 30 min sauna for both then 1 hour together in the salt cave.When we got to our appointment we were told we had to have our massages separately as there was only one therapist. Then the lady said we were called and told about this; however I never received a call and she said I did. So I had a massage first while my partner went in the sauna.My massage was only 45 min long and when I came out the receptionists told the therapist he needed to do 15 more minutes with me and they were mildly arguing as he indicated he need to leave after massaging my fiancee. So my turn was next to go into the sauna, but the receptionist had already put another client in there so I had to wait 30 minutes. The whole experience was so disappointing and very disorganized and unprofessional.

Had a wonderful experience today. The new owner was so friendly and welcoming. The saltcave is so peaceful and relaxing, I even fell asleep. Had a detox in the sauna which felt amazing and then had a beautiful Thai massage. I'm relaxed and feeling wonderful.

This place was great I got a Groupon here as a present that included a 50min session in e cave a Thai massage and a 30sauna session. The cave was nice but the massage was one of the best I've ever had. The therapist was attentive,informative and really knew what he was talking about. He did well to work out the injury I have in my shoulder and have me great tips to help treat it myself at home!

Really great place, tried it with a groupon and never been to a saltcave before. The new owner Ana introduced herself immediately. I had seen poor reviews originally but this is definitely not under Ana’s as the owner. The massage with Renée was Quite good, Very relaxing. I had my appointment right after work, so make sure you bring a change of clothes, no robes. The spa is smaller than others but very clean. The salt cave has salt all over the floors, didn’t cheap out there. I fell asleep while in there, the chairs recline, didn’t notice it at first but give it a shot. Amazing!

I have been to other salt caves, and this is one of the nicest. It is under new management, and the owner was very helpful and informative. The salt cave itself was relaxing and the salt mist was clearly working, which made it feel like my breathing was enhanced. There are zero-gravity chairs and blankets to make yourself comfortable. It was a great time to meditate and enjoy the spa music quietly playing in the background. I especially enjoyed my massage with Luis, who personalized my session to relieve tension. He worked on areas on my legs that get missed in most massages, and he gave me some suggestions for detoxing. Luis was great at reading what areas need the most attention. It is a Thai massage, so some of the time is spent stretching and utilizing pressure points. I was glad I wore cropped yoga pants for some of the positions. Lastly, my husband and I shared the infrared sauna, which helped to sweat out more toxins. Afterwards, we both felt relaxed, yet energized from the whole experience. I made another appointment before we left!

4.5 Stars I bought a Groupon to try out Solana salt cave, but after reading all the reviews here on Facebook I was a little skeptical I was pleasantly surprised.I had a great experience. It was my first thai massage. The RMT was great he explained everything to me and did a great job I felt very relaxed afterwards. And I was running late about 10mins but he still gave me the full 1 hr treatment. I also did the Salt Cave it was so nice and quiet I had the place to myself...I read, did some yoga poses,meditation and prayed nice time to myself... I'm hoping to receive some benefits for asthma symptoms. They had blankets there to keep you warm it was quite comfortable. Then Into the sauna which was nice I felt very rejuvenated. it would have been nice to have a quick shower afterwards but they don't have the facilities for that and they should consider removing the clock from the massage room the ticking was a little bit annoying otherwise was a great time.

I've visited Oakville Salt Cave a week ago with my family and we were impressed with the service and new owner Anna. Great welcoming atmosphere by Anna and her stuff, amaizing service performed by Renee. I can strongly recommend Oakville Salt Cave for a families with kids who suffers from allergies and asthma. My 9yrs daughter loved salt cave since gives her relief from multiple allergie symptoms. Salt Cave is great for relaxation and meditation which I experienced. I already purchased 3 months membership for entire family of 4.

My friend had booked this place as a surprise for my birthday and I was so excited. Little did I know that only disappointment is on my way. So I went in for a deep tissue massage which is terrible I wouldn’t even call it a massage. Customer service is horrible. Lady at the reception is very unprofessional. She was rushing me through everything. I went in for salt cave session and she came in like 5 times and talking so loud ( hello..it’s supposed to be calm and relaxing) ugh! And then she sent me to sauna and again kept interrupting me like why!? She came in like every 10mins. That’s so annoying. And then when I finished she was like ‘ok you can go now. Everything is done’ like who says that!? Who wants to stay. I will not recommend at all

I took a friend of mine to celebrate her birthday.... the lady at the reception desk was unprofessional, talking loudly on her phone during our session....it was annoying!! She didn't explain anything, she was chatting with her friend on her cell.... she took away so much from our experience!!!! Not going back and not recommending!!! Oh.... and ripped towel in the sauna... come on ... toothpaste and toothbrush in the bathroom on the display for everyone. No thanks! A bit more of professionalism please !!!!

I love going to Solana salt cave. I find it very relaxing to sit in the cave. The atmosphere is very peaceful and the staff are extremely friendly and passionate about their business. Their products to purchase are of good quality (I stocked up!) I would highly recommend this unique experience! Can't wait for my next visit.

I purchased the Groupon as a gift for a girlfriend and I. I was disappointed with the massages, as it wasn't what we were expecting. Also the pricing is less, if you purchase directly at the store, which didn't make sense. We would not go back.

Big disappointment. The Masseur is very rude. Big waste of money and time. Very poor customer service. The picture in the website is very deceiving. The salt cave is cold and the blankets provided are not being replaced. I paid to be humiliated. Luis asked me about the therapy, when I said it's not like the usual massage that I have, he got pissed and raised his voice. Will not recommend to anybody. 0 rating if there is a choice.

Today me and my daughter went there for the first time, the person in charge was half an hour late getting there so the doors were locked upon our arrival. She didn't apologize for opening late and told us that you need to book an appointment to come in, when the website clearly says no appointments are necessary. She was extremely rude, and we would never consider going back. Dont waste your time.

I love this place! Go here frequently to see Luis (the massage therapist) and the salt cave is a great perk - extremely relaxing and has great health benefits! The cave is a little on the cool side, but they probably have to keep it at that temperature to preserve the salt. There are always blankets around to use and you can wear whatever you like in there so keeping warm is not an issue. The message is not your traditional thai massage. Depending on your injury/issue, Luis does a mix of thai, reflexology, deep tissue, and reiki - which I love! (I am not a fan of traditional thai massages, so was a little nervous the first time I went here.) I have a bad tailbone injury that was incapacitating me and after a few session with Luis, I felt great! He is very knowledgeable, and always shows me stretches I can do on my own in addition to giving me general lifestyle tips to help keep my injury in check. I would definitely recommend a visit for anyone with persistent back issues/sciatica. (My mother has a slipped disc and always goes to see Luis when in town.)

Wonderful. It is a health and wellness centre. Would recommend to anyone. Has a variety of therapy. Different types of massage, sauna, reflexology, yoga in the salt cave or just a 50 minute relax in there. Parking garage the next street north with a walk out to lakeshore directly across from Salt Cave Solana .

The massage was wonderful but the customer service was atrocious. We bought a package on groupon which turned out to be more expensive than buying it normally. My friend and I had booked it to go the same day and it turns out that we had to go in the salt ace at separate times which was extremely disappointing. When we got there they made us pay taxes on top of what we had already paid. Will never go back and I don't recommend to anyone.

VERY poor customer service, I highly recommend you do not waste your money here. My boyfriend requests for 1 female and 1 male masseuse ahead of time for a couples massage and when we show up (from a 1 hour drive) they tell us they have to take turns with us and that they only have 1 male masseuse. Than when we kindly said we do not feel comfortable with that and want to have a couples massage together (which is ideal) they flipped on us and told us to leave as we wasted THEIR time. Also the place looks so fake and unnatural, spend that money and go to Scandinavian Spa 100% better or anywhere else to be honest.

I personally liked the fact that it was a very different experience then your typically spa experience. Would I ever pay 120 for a sauna, salt cave and massage again? No. I really liked the guy that did the thai massage. It's again not a typically massage. It's a massage that incorporates yoga moves that the massage therapist puts your body through. He was very sweet and had a very genuine conversation which I enjoyed. Other than that I felt it was expensive and I got charged more than 13% tax which made me sense.

The owner is very calm and competent. I have been there several times. I am never disappointed. I have been getting therapeutic massages since 1989 for back, neck and knee issues. I recently had a thai massage with Luis. I went back two weeks later because he really relieved a lot of pain. I will return. He challenges your body and applies sufficient pressure when necessary. Learn to breathe and relax and you will come out feeling calm and refreshed. They provide blankets in the cave, but you should dress warm. The salt caves are not advertised as a spa day. For me they accomplish their goal of providing good health and wellbeing. You could consider that a spa day!

What a relaxing experience!! I could feel that my breathing was better after just one session in the salt cave. I also had such a good night's sleep. My 7 month old also enjoyed tummy time in the cave. Anna- the new owner has done an amazing job revamping the place to create a clean and welcoming environment.

We booked for 3 of us. Had to call and cancel because 2 of us got food poisoning from the previous nights dinner. Because we didn't give 24 hrs notice they won't reschedule us. This was beyond our control and believe they should reschedule us. I should have read the reviews before purchasing. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone either.

Amazing experience. This place has a NEW OWNER and she is LOVELY. This was the best change for this place and business. The service is excellent, prices are great and the salt cave is beautiful. The infrared sauna is my favorite. They are soon having yoga classes inside the salt cave, truly cool. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

This location has been under new management and the owner Anna is absolutely wonderful. The location is truly therapeutic and offers more than just the salt cave. They do not offer you any slippers, gown, or wrapper, and there is no shower, so after a half an hour of sauna you are told to put your clothes back on your sweaty body. The massage therapist is a scary-looking guy, very unfriendly. Most of the massage was done with a mechanical device - I could get that from a mall massage chair for 25 cents, and when I go to a massage therapy session I expect more. When he applied this contraption to the base of my skull all my head started reverberating and the experience was extremely unpleasant so I asked him to turn that off, and turn off the vibration of the massage table too. The guy then started telling me off in a loud and annoyed voice, saying that I am holding my body or moving (I am not sure about this point because the guy's English was quite bad) in some unsatisfactory way and he sees I am not happy with his massage and I must tell him what to do because otherwise he does not know what to do (!). I had to stop the massage at this point. My Groupon also included reflexology treatment and facial, but I was never offered a facial, and all reflexology I got was the masseur guy pressing his knuckles against the soles of my feet for a few seconds. To sum it up, I will never go there again and I do not recommend it to anyone.
